Joe Biden Received Money From China - California to Implement a Gun/Ammo Tax
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, September 28th, 2023 – St. Wenceslas
1. **Early Life and Virtuous Character:** St. Wenceslas, the Duke, sovereign, and patron saint of Bohemia, was known for practicing beautiful virtues. He remained chaste throughout his life.
4. **Christian Royalty:** He was the grandson of a saint and the son of a fanatical pagan mother. Despite this, he represented Christian royalty of his time, upholding the values of his faith.
5. **Father of His People:** As the chief of the Bohemian family, he acted as the father of his people. His subjects, from the greatest to the smallest, could appeal to his justice.
6. **Unbiased Justice:** Known as an irrefutable arbiter of justice, his decisions were impartial and unmarked by personal interests. He was a peacemaker, striving to unite his people for the common good.
2. **Murder by His Brother:** His brother, Boleslas, inspired by their pagan mother, murdered Wenceslas while he was in prayer before the tabernacle in the palace chapel.
9. **Meeting with Emperor Otto I:** In 961, Emperor Otto I of Germany called Wenceslas to the Diet of Worms. Wenceslas, known for his piety, once arrived late due to prayer. The nobles, irritated by his delay, had resolved not to rise when he entered. However, upon his arrival, they saw him flanked by two Angels, and Emperor Otto paid him the place of honor.
10. **Precious Relics:** As a sign of his consideration, Emperor Otto I gave him two precious relics: an arm of St. Vitus and the bones of St. Sigismund, King of Burgundy, who was also a warrior-sovereign.
When miracles like these no longer happen, it is the sign that Divine Providence has abandoned a certain people, a particular cycle of civilization, an historic era. Instead, it becomes marked by the sign of punishment.
Let us pray to St. Wenceslas to be prepared for the chastisements, predicted by Our Lady of Fatima, so that mankind will enter another age where God will be honored and glorified and miracles will again take place.
St. Wenceslas pray for us!

Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Wednesday, September 27th, 2023 – St. Elzear
1. **Birth and Early Life:** St. Elzear, born in 1285 in Saint-Jean de Robians, Provence, France, was the son of the Count of Ariano from the Kingdom of Naples, Italy. He was consecrated to God by his mother from birth and received a good upbringing.
2. **Education and Marriage:** Elzear received education in both eternal and human sciences, as well as martial arts. He became an accomplished knight and married Delphine of Glandèves.
3. **Life of Continence:** Elzear and Delphine chose to live a life of continence, despite being married. They both belonged to the Third Order of St. Francis.
4. **Military Success:** Elzear inherited the County of Ariano in 1309 and led an army alongside John, the brother of the King of Naples, against Emperor Henry VII, defeating him in two battles in Italy. For his victories, he received many honors and prizes.
5. **Role in Naples:** King Robert of Naples appointed Elzear as the head of the Counsel of the Kingdom of Naples, where he served as a judge with supreme severity against the guilty. He took care of the souls of those condemned to death.
6. **Tutorship:** Elzear was chosen as the tutor of Prince Charles, heir to the throne, indicating his influence and importance in the court.
7. **Balanced Life:** Despite his noble status, Elzear remained faithful to the Franciscan spirit and showed detachment. He wore magnificent clothes at court but maintained his penitential practices in private.
8. **Mediation Mission:** He was sent to Paris as a representative of King Robert to negotiate a marriage alliance. During this mission, he became seriously ill and died on September 27, 1325.
9. **Burial and Miracles:** Elzear was buried in the Franciscan habit in the church of the Minor Conventuals at Apt. Many miracles were attributed to his intercession.
10. **Canonization:** St. Elzear was canonized by Pope Urban V 44 years after his death. His wife, Countess Delphine, was still alive at the time of his canonization.
Let us ask him for confidence in the power of grace, and balance to live our vocation with the needed dignity, brilliance and nobility while maintaining a detached spirit. Like him, we should do everything for the glory of God, and not for ourselves.
St. Elzear pray for us!

Ohio Abortionist Attempt to Deceive Catholics - Dominican Nun in Favor of Gay Marriage
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Monday, September 25th, 2023 – Our Lady of Mercy
1. **Foundation of the Order:** The Order of Mercy, also known as the Royal, Celestial and Military Order of Our Lady of the Mercies and the Redemption of the Captives, was founded to ransom Christians held captive by Muslims. It was founded in the early 13th century.
2. **St. Peter Nolasco:** St. Peter Nolasco (1189-1256) was the first General Grand Master of the Order. When his coffin was opened, he was found armed with his armor and sword.
3. **Vision of Our Lady:** On August 1, 1218, St. Peter Nolasco received a vision of Our Lady who told him to found his Order. She held two bags of coins to be used in ransoming Christians in captivity.
4. **Order's Title:** The Order was titled the Order of Our Lady of Mercy for the Redemption of the Captives.
5. **Role of Knights and Clerics:** The Order had more knights than clerics at its foundation. Clerics primarily prayed the Divine Office, while knights guarded the coasts and were dedicated to the redemption of Christian prisoners.
6. **Equilibrium between Prayer and Action:** The religious in the Order dedicated themselves to prayer, especially for the knights, while the knights engaged in the dangerous mission of freeing Christian captives. This balance between prayer and action was considered beautiful.
7. **Armor and Sword:** St. Peter Nolasco, a lay warrior, was the first General Superior of the Order. He was buried in his armor and sword, demonstrating his commitment to the mission.
8. **Compassion for Captive Christians:** The Order was founded out of compassion for Catholic prisoners enslaved by the Moors in Spain. These prisoners were exposed to the loss of faith, subjected to bad treatments, and often forced into immoral activities.
9. **Apparitions of Our Lady:** Our Lady appeared to King James of Aragon, St. Raymond of Peñaforte, and St. Peter Nolasco, asking all three to start a religious order dedicated to the liberation of captives. They each had the same vision of Our Lady.
10. **The Smile of Our Lady:** Our Lady's smile symbolized her liberality and willingness to grant graces to those in need. The devotion to Our Lady of Mercy encourages a filial and confidence-filled relationship with her, characterized by trust in her smiling mercy.
The original title of the Order in Spanish refers to Nuestra Señora de las Merceds, a merced is a favor someone does for another, it is a gift someone gives to someone else. The gift that she was promising those prisoners was freedom from their terrible captivity.
The Church lacks invocations enough to inculcate in us the idea of this liberality of Our Lady. She is always disposed to give us excellent graces, to invite us to ask for them, and to love her for the goodness she shows us.
May this invocation open our souls to this type of filial and confidence-filled relationship with Our Lady that those warriors considered essential for their mission.
Our Lady of Mercy, pray for us!

Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 – St. Januarius
1. **St. Januarius, Bishop and His Companions, Martyrs - September 19:** St. Januarius, a bishop of Beneventum, and his companions were martyred during the persecution of Christians under Diocletian and Maximian.
2. **Persecution Under Diocletian and Maximian:** During the persecution, St. Januarius was subjected to various trials, including being cast into a burning furnace and having his joints and nerves displaced.
3. **The Role of the Faithful:** St. Januarius' constancy and the miracles that followed his trials led to numerous conversions to Christianity, even though the Roman authorities persecuted Christians.
4. **Transfer of Relics:** After their martyrdom, the relics of St. Januarius and his companions were transferred to various locations, including Beneventum and Monte Vergine, and eventually to the principal church in Naples.
5. **Miracles Continue:** St. Januarius' relics in Naples became renowned for miraculous events, including extinguishing eruptions of Mount Vesuvius.
6. **The Liquefaction of Blood:** A significant miracle associated with St. Januarius is the liquefaction of his blood, which occurs during specific periods of the year in the presence of the faithful.
O holy Martyrs, and thou especially, O Januarius, the leader no less by thy courage than by thy pontifical dignity, thy present glory increases our longing for Heaven; thy past combats animate us to fight the good fight; thy continual miracles confirm us in the faith. Praise and gratitude are therefore due to thee on this day of thy triumph; and we pay this our debt in the joy of our hearts.

Muslim Sheikh’s Receives First Communion - Charging 65k To Be a Surrogate
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 – Our Lady of La Salette
1. **Near the Fountain:** On a mountainside near a dried-up fountain, two children, Maximin and Melanie, fell asleep while watching over their cows. Melanie awoke and called Maximin when she couldn't find their cows.
2. **Apparition of the Beautiful Lady:** As they climbed the slope to look for their cows, they saw a globe of fire where they had slept. It opened to reveal a woman, the Beautiful Lady, who appeared sorrowful, seated with her head in her hands.
3. **Children's Fear:** Melanie and Maximin were initially frightened. Maximin considered using his shepherd's staff to defend themselves.
4. **The Beautiful Lady's Invitation:** The Beautiful Lady beckoned the children not to be afraid and approached them as they approached her. She spoke to them in French, reassuring them.
5. **Description of the Beautiful Lady:** The Lady was described as tall and radiant, dressed in local attire with roses on her head, a diadem, a heavy chain on her shoulders, and a crucifix with a hammer and pincers on a golden chain.
6. **The Message Begins:** The Beautiful Lady began to convey a message to the children. She expressed her sorrow and warned that if people did not repent and pray, her Son's arm would fall in judgment.
7. **Observations of the Locals:** The locals of the region, who were skeptical about the story, began to realize that something significant had happened when Melanie and Maximin recounted their experience. The mayor of La Salette, Monsieur Peytard, was among the first to believe.
8. **The Investigation:** The local ecclesiastics and civil authorities, as well as journalists, investigated the children's story. They questioned the witnesses, trying to find inconsistencies but found none.
9. **Bishop's Judgment:** After five years of investigation, Bishop Philibert de Bruillard of Grenoble declared that the apparition bore the characteristics of truth, and the faithful had grounds to believe it.
10. **The Meaning of the Message:** The text concludes by emphasizing that an apparition is not a part of the deposit of faith but a supernatural sign. It calls for discernment and emphasizes the importance of understanding the message in the light of the Holy Spirit's action in our day and the perspective of our faith.
To confide against all appearances and to believe after all the delays is what God requires of those with whom He selects to make His alliance. This is the great teaching of La Salette. This is the spirit we should ask to receive on the feast day of Our Lady of La Salette: to have a blind confidence in her promise and to be certain that its fulfillment will come.
Our Lady of La Salette, pray for us!

Ohio Priest Stands Up For Life - Senate Gets Rid of Dress Code
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Monday, September 18th, 2023 – St. Joseph of Cupertino
1. **Birth and Childhood Suffering:** St. Joseph of Cupertino was born on June 17, 1603, into a poor family. He had a sickly childhood and faced significant suffering from an early age. At seven, he developed a gangrenous ulcer that was miraculously cured.
2. **Early Rejection and Lack of Human Value:** Throughout his early life, Joseph faced rejection and disdain from others due to his lack of natural abilities. His companions and even his own mother considered him to be of no human value.
3. **Entry into Religious Life:** Joseph entered the religious life, facing further difficulties due to his ineptitude and abstraction. He was often taken in ecstasy and could not perform basic tasks without making mistakes.
4. **Expulsion from the Monastery:** Eventually, the religious community expelled Joseph from the monastery due to his perceived uselessness. This expulsion caused him immense suffering.
5. **Providence and a New Beginning:** Joseph's life took a turn when an unknown religious gave him a habit. This gesture transformed his despair into hope and marked a new beginning.
6. **Ordination and Remarkable Exam:** Despite his limitations and lack of formal education, Joseph managed to pass an examination for the diaconate by successfully expounding on a single passage from Scripture.
7. **Priesthood Against the Odds:** A year later, Joseph faced another examination for the priesthood. The other candidates were well-prepared, while Joseph was not questioned at all. Nevertheless, he was approved for ordination.
8. **Loss of Spiritual Consolations:** During a period of his life, Joseph experienced a loss of the spiritual consolations he had enjoyed since childhood. This was a time of great anguish and spiritual dryness for him.
9. **Transformation and Miracles:** Joseph's life changed dramatically, and he became known for his ecstasies, miracles, and frequent levitations. He earned the nickname "the flying Friar" due to these supernatural experiences.
10. **Final Years in Osimo:** Joseph continued to experience supernatural manifestations and attract pilgrims until his death on September 18, 1663, in Osimo, Italy, at the age of 60.
What is the application for us? If we received gifts from nature or from God, let us admire St. Joseph of Cupertino in order to be detached from them and use them well. If we lack qualities or have to endure sufferings, let us admire him and follow his example of confidence in order to accomplish what God has planned for us.
St. Joseph of Cupertino, pray for us!

The Power of the Crucifix
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, September 14th, 2023 – Our Lady of Las Lajas
1. In 1754, Maria Mueses de Quiñones, an Indian woman from Colombia, sought refuge in a grotto called Las Lajas during a storm. There were rumors that the grotto was haunted.
2. Maria's deaf-mute daughter, Rosa, suddenly spoke and exclaimed that she saw a woman with a boy in her arms and two other children by her side in the grotto.
3. This event shocked the community, and although some were skeptical at first, the news began to spread.
4. A few days later, Rosa disappeared from her home and was found playing affectionately with a noble Lady and a Child in the grotto. Maria identified them as the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Divine Infant.
5. Rosa later fell gravely ill and died. Her mother, Maria, carried her body to the grotto, begging the Virgin for help. Our Lady performed a miracle, and Rosa was resurrected.
6. The news of these events drew a crowd, including priests and distinguished individuals, to the grotto. There, they saw a magnificent image of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the rock face, holding her Infant Son, with Saints Dominic and Francis kneeling at their feet.
7. The image was miraculous because it was not painted but mysteriously imprinted in the rock. German geologists confirmed that there was no paint or pigment on the surface; the colors were the natural colors of the rock itself.
8. In 1952, Pope Pius XII granted a canonical crowning of Our Lady of Las Lajas, and in 1954, a gothic church was erected to house the image, which was dedicated as a minor basilica.
9. The image of Our Lady of Las Lajas is unique and reflects both majesty and maternity. Our Lady is depicted with a serious, probing gaze, while the Divine Infant is amiable and turned toward supplicants.
10. The image's physical aspect reflects Latin American characteristics and virtues, with an expression of kindness, stability, and motherhood. Our Lady's long, beautiful hair and regal attire add to her majesty.
Our Lady of Las Lajas, pray for us!

Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Wednesday, September 13th, 2023 – The Exaltation of the Holy Cross
1. The Exaltation of the Holy Cross is celebrated on September 14th.
2. In ancient times, the cross was an instrument of torment and a symbol of shame.
3. St. Paul, a Roman citizen, was beheaded with a sword instead of being crucified.
4. When Jesus was crucified, it was a supreme humiliation, signifying Him as an outlaw and bandit.
5. The Jews inflicted various humiliations on Jesus during His life, culminating in His crucifixion.
6. The crucifixion of Jesus became the starting point for the humiliations that faithful Catholics would endure throughout history.
7. Despite these humiliations, Catholics honor the Cross as a symbol of honor, redemption, and faith.
8. The Cross is prominently displayed on Catholic churches, crowns, and family coat-of-arms.
9. The feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross celebrates and glorifies the Cross as a reaction against the outrages of enemies.
10. Exalting the Holy Cross means proclaiming the glory of God in the face of attempts to humiliate it, and Catholics should respond to enemies with a counter-attack that defends the honor of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Exaltation of the Holy Cross, pray for us!

Is Bishop Strickland Resigning? - ‘Defund The Police’ Democrat Gets Violently Attacked
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Tuesday, September 12th, 2023 – The Holy Name of Mary
1. The Holy Name of Mary is celebrated on September 12th.
2. The name of a person was historically considered a symbol of that individual.
3. In earlier times, initials were used as symbols of names.
4. Names are symbolic representations of the psychological, moral, and spiritual attributes of a person.
5. The Most Holy Name of Mary symbolizes her excellent virtues, mission, and true nature.
6. Celebrating this day commemorates the glory of Our Lady, both in Heaven and on Earth.
7. In Heaven, Mary is the Queen of all Angels and Saints, placed above all creatures and acting as our Mediatrix before God.
8. On Earth, there is a call to glorify the Most Holy Name of Mary, as we do with the Gloria Patri prayer.
9. The glory given to Our Lady in the past was immense, but it could have been greater if the spirit of St. Louis Grignion of Montfort had been more prevalent in society.
10. There is a need for reparation for the outrages continuously committed against Our Lady and a call for full and living devotion to her.
These notes provide insights into the significance of the Holy Name of Mary and the importance of giving her the glory she deserves in both Heaven and Earth.
Holy Name of Mary, pray for us!

Media Pushes Women to Stay Single - Anti-Police Democrat Gets Mugged
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Monday, September 11th, 2023 – St. Pulcheria
Certainly, here are the top 10 notes about St. Pulcheria's life in chronological order:
1. St. Pulcheria (399-453) was the grand-daughter of Theodosius and was baptized by St. John Chrysostom in Constantinople.
2. At a very young age, St. Pulcheria made a vow of virginity along with her two younger sisters.
3. Six years after her father's death, she was proclaimed Augusta (empress) and named regent for her younger brother, Theodosius II, at the age of 15.
4. St. Pulcheria displayed exceptional prudence and maturity in her role as regent, a rare quality for someone her age.
5. When Theodosius married Athenais (later baptized as Eudoxia), daughter of a pagan philosopher, tensions arose, and Eudoxia sought to undermine St. Pulcheria's influence and favored the heresy of Nestorius.
6. St. Pulcheria supported St. Cyril of Alexandria against the heretic Nestorius. However, her stance led to her removal from power and withdrawal from the imperial court.
7. In 441, Eudoxia was exiled due to her infidelity to the Emperor, and St. Pulcheria returned to power.
8. St. Pulcheria persuaded Theodosius to withdraw his support for the heresy of the monk Eutyches and follow the teachings of St. Leo the Great.
9. After Theodosius' death in 450, St. Pulcheria was once again proclaimed Empress. She played a key role in the Council of Chalcedon (451), which condemned the heresy of Monophysism.
10. Facing the threat of Attila, St. Pulcheria agreed to marry General Marcian to maintain the stability of the Empire, on the condition that he respected her vow of virginity. Together, they governed the Empire, with Marcian taking measures against Nestorians and Eutychians and protecting the Catholic Bishops.
What should we ask of St. Pulcheria? We should ask her for the grace to understand and make understood with renewed ardor our role as laymen in temporal society following the plan of Divine Providence. That is, to serve God and Holy Mother Church living in the temporal order and transforming it into a true Christendom.
St. Pulcheria, pray for us!

Americans Divided On Mask Mandates - Secret Synod Proceedings
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Friday, September 8th, 2023 – St. Adrian
1. In the year 300, amidst the brutal reign of Emperor Diocletian, St. Adrian, a valiant soul of only 28 years, lived in Nicomedia.
2. A time of merciless persecution of Catholics had descended upon Nicomedia, with 33 faithful souls facing denunciation and chains before the Emperor's tribunal.
3. Defiant before their tormentors, these martyrs engaged in polemical exchanges, displaying unwavering faith and nobility of spirit.
4. Despite their suffering, they challenged the judge's assertions, proclaiming that each torment would only add to their heavenly crowns while he would face eternal consequences for his cruelty.
5. Galerius, the successor to Diocletian, ordered fresh torments. Stones struck the martyrs about their mouths, yet their resolve remained unbroken.
6. Unfazed by their steadfastness, Galerius imprisoned them in the hope of breeding fear and apostasy.
7. Among the witnesses was Adrian, a high-ranking dignitary, who, witnessing their unwavering resolve, was illuminated to renounce paganism and join their ranks.
8. Adrian's wife, Natalie, hastened to the prison upon hearing of her husband's conversion, offering words of benediction and support.
9. In a final act of barbarity, Adrian endured the severing of his limbs with an anvil, his spirit unbroken.
10. These martyrs, marked by their polemical spirit, unshakable faith, and defiance, challenged their persecutors. Adrian's conversion, Natalie's unwavering support, and the martyrs' resilience showcased the triumph of faith in the face of adversity, serving as a timeless lesson in unwavering devotion to God's will.
St. Adrian, pray for us!

Sweden Riots Over Quran Burning - The Cross and The Crib
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, September 7th, 2023 – Our Lady of Covadonga
1. In 711, Muslim Arabs invaded the Iberian Peninsula, and King Rodrigo of the Visigoths died facing them.
2. Don Pelayo, a nobleman, led a group of knights to resist the Muslim conquest and withdrew to the northern mountains of Asturias to prepare for the battle.
3. In 722, a well-trained Muslim army, led by General Alkamar, was sent to destroy Don Pelayo and his men.
4. Don Pelayo strategically positioned his men along the cliffs at Alzeba Mountain, where they waited for the enemy to advance.
5. Don Pelayo sought the protection of Our Lady of Covadonga by praying in the nearby Cave of Covadonga, where a statue of the Virgin was placed.
6. The battle began with Muslim archers attacking the Catholic soldiers, but miraculously, the arrows turned against the Moorish archers, killing them.
7. Catholic soldiers advanced, while others threw stones and trunks from the mountain, causing disorder in the Muslim army.
8. Suleiman, the second in command of the Muslim army, was killed, and General Alkamar ordered a retreat.
9. A violent storm broke out, with thunder, lightning, and heavy rain causing mudslides, boulders, and trees to fall on the retreating Muslim troops, leading to many casualties.
10. The Battle of Covadonga was won, and Pelayo was proclaimed King of the Austurias. A monastery and chapel were later built on the site in honor of Our Lady of Covadonga, and it was replaced by a grand Basilica consecrated in 1901.
Comments of Prof. Plinio emphasize the lesson of doing everything possible to win an impossible victory, trusting in Divine Providence and Our Lady's protection even when the odds seem insurmountable. The victory at Covadonga inspired a mentality that eventually led to the Reconquista of Spain from the Moors.
Our Lady of Covadonga, pray for us!

Mexican Parents Burn Communist Books - Newly Beneficed Family
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 – St. Magnus of Füssen
Here are the top 10 notes reordered in historically chronological order:
1. St. Magnus of Füssen, also known as Magnoald or Mang, is believed to have been a contemporary either of Saint Gall (died 627) or of Saint Boniface (died 754).
2. There is little reliable information about St. Magnus, and the primary source is an old "Vita S. Magni,"
3. According to legend, Irish missionaries Saints Columbanus and Gallus spent time with Willimar, a priest at Arbon. When Gallus fell sick, he was cared for by Magnus and Theodore (Magnoald and Theodo), two clerics living with Willimar.
4. After Columbanus's death, Magnus was sent to pray at his grave in Bobbio, where he returned with Columbanus's staff, and they followed his rule.
5. After Gallus's death, Magnus succeeded him as the superior of the cell. He was a priest from the Diocese of Augsburg named Tozzo or Toto, who invited Magnus to accompany him to the eastern part of the Allgäu.
6. Magnus proceeded to Eptaticus (Epfach), where he was received by Wikterp, the Bishop of Augsburg, and entrusted with the Christianization of the eastern Allgäu.
7. He built a cell, where later the monastery of Füssen was erected, and he died there. He was buried in the church he had constructed.
8. St. Magnus's relics were transferred to the newly erected church of Füssen in 851, and one of his bones was sent to St. Gallen in Switzerland.
9. The "Life" of St. Magnus, a hagiographic account of his life, was attributed to Theodore, his companion, and later emended and rewritten by Ermenrich, a monk of Ellwangen.
10. St. Magnus is venerated as the founder of St. Mang's Abbey, Füssen, and is the patron saint of the Allgäu, von Füssen, and Kempten. His feast day is celebrated on September 6th.
St. Magnus of Füssen, pray for us!

Dr. Fauci Comments about Masks Studies - Pope Francis On Synod On Synodality Book
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 – St. Laurence Justinian
1. St. Laurence Justinian, born into the Venetian family of the Justinians (Giustiniani), was noted for his seriousness even as a child.
2. At the age of 19, he had a vision of Eternal Wisdom inviting him to unite himself with it, which led him to enter the religious life.
3. St. Laurence Justinian joined the Augustinian Order of the Canons of St. George on Alga Island, near Venice, known for his austerities and humility.
4. After his ordination, he was elected General of his Order and initiated profound reforms, essentially serving as its second founder.
5. In 1433, he was named Bishop of Venice, a position he initially tried to refuse but was obliged by Pope Eugene IV to accept.
6. As Bishop of Venice, St. Laurence Justinian played a pivotal role in resolving state quarrels, founding new monasteries, and improving divine worship in the parishes.
7. In 1450, he was elected Patriarch of Venice, and his ecclesiastical reform in the city is considered a precursor to what St. Charles Borromeo would later do in Milan after the Council of Trent.
8. His books and sermons reflected a deep devotion to the Passion of Our Lord, emphasizing the importance of the Faith.
9. St. Laurence Justinian passed away on January 8, 1455, leaving a lasting legacy of sanctity. He was beatified in 1524 by Pope Clement VII and canonized in 1690 by Pope Alexander VIII.
10. His feast day was established on September 5, the day of his episcopal consecration.
St. Laurence Justinian's life and reforms were emblematic of a period marked by both piety and the growing challenges of the revolutionary spirit within the Church. His commitment to reform and spiritual depth continue to inspire Catholics today.
St. Laurence Justinian, pray for us!

Is Scott Hahn Schismatic? - St. Michael Prayer After Mass?
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Friday, September 1st 2023 – St. Fiacre
1. St. Fiacre was born at the beginning of the 7th century into an illustrious Irish family. The Scots affirm that he was the son of one of their kings who was raised with his brothers by St. Conon, Bishop of Iona.
2. As a young man, Fiacre left his parents and family to serve God in solitude. He went to France, seeking St. Faro, Bishop of Meaux, and asked him for a place where he could live a solitary life away from the world. The Bishop was filled with joy upon hearing this request.
3. He told Fiacre: “Not far from here is a forest that is my patrimony and that the people call Breuil. It is very quiet and isolated.” The two saints traveled there together and chose a place for Fiacre, and the Bishop gave him everything he needed.
4. St. Fiacre cleared the woods, built a chapel in honor of the Holy Virgin, and also a house beside it where he lived and received guests. Later he built a small hospital where he would administer to the sick and the poor, and many times he cured them by virtue of his prayers.
5. He never allowed women to enter his hermitage. This was an inviolable tradition in the Irish monasteries. He extended the restriction to include the chapel and applied this rule as long as he lived. Still today, out of respect for his memory, women do not enter either his hermitage or the chapel where he was buried. Even Anne of Austria, the Queen of France, who made a pilgrimage to the shrine in thanksgiving for a favor received, remained outside the door of his chapel.
6. The Scots recount that around this time the throne of Scotland became vacant, and deputies of that country traveled to Breuil to ask St. Fiacre to return and be crowned king. He humbly but firmly refused.
7. St. Fiacre refusing the offer to be crowned king.
8. The saint died on August 30, 670, and was buried in the chapel he had built. Countless miracles followed his death and made the name of Fiacre famous. In France, gardeners honor him as their patron saint. For, in fact, by praying in his chapel and working in his garden, St. Fiacre earned a throne in Heaven. His feast day is commemorated on September 1st.
9. Prof. Plinio's comments on St. Fiacre's life, including reflections on his decisions to refuse the throne and the beauty of fidelity, as well as the transformation of the forest of Breuil and St. Fiacre's impact on the region through his actions.
10. Reflections on the veneration of St. Fiacre throughout France, his patronage of gardeners and cab drivers, and the significance of the lives of saints in history, along with the hope for a new Christendom.
St. Fiacre, pray for us!

5. **Foundation of "Pious Schools":** In 1600, St. Joseph Calasanz opened his first "Pious School" in Rome, offering free education to poor children. This marked the beginning of the Piarists, also known as the Order of the Pious Schools.

The Rock Band Queen Has Been Canceled - Special Guest John Horvat
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Monday, August 28th 2023 – St. Augustine
1. **Birth and Early Life:** St. Augustine was born on November 13, 354, in Thagaste (modern-day Souk Ahras, Algeria).
2. **Conversion and Writing:** St. Augustine's "Confessions" is a significant work that describes his moral transformation from a life of pride and sensuality to his turning toward God, largely influenced by his encounters with St. Ambrose.
3. **Influence of St. Ambrose:** St. Augustine admired St. Ambrose greatly and would often watch him work. His presence had a profound impact on St. Augustine's conversion process.
4. **Voice from God:** While in a state of internal crisis, St. Augustine hears a voice saying "Tolle et lege" (take it and read). He opens the Scriptures to a verse that touches his heart and solidifies his conversion.
5. **Colloquium with St. Monica:** St. Augustine had a supernatural conversation with his mother, St. Monica, in Ostia, which strengthened him for future challenges. St. Monica prayed fervently for his conversion.
6. **St. Augustine's Role:** St. Augustine becomes the Bishop of Hippo in Africa, where he writes his significant work, "The City of God."
7. **"The City of God":** St. Augustine's masterpiece "The City of God" presents the struggle between the City of God and the City of the Devil as the axis of history. This work establishes the foundation for Christian civilization.
8. **Impact on Middle Ages:** Despite the fall of the Roman Empire and the uncertainty of the future, St. Augustine's works continued to inspire and shape the medieval conception of the State, Empire, and Christendom.
9. **Legacy:** St. Augustine's writings and philosophies continued to influence the medieval period and beyond. His confidence in the face of uncertainty serves as a lesson for persevering in the face of challenges.
10. **Modern Application:** Just as St. Augustine's writings persisted through turbulent times, we are encouraged to carry on our work with faith and confidence, even in the face of contemporary challenges to Christian Civilization.
This arrangement provides a chronological overview of key events and themes related to St. Augustine's life and influence, showing his transformation, his impact on medieval thought, and the enduring relevance of his teachings.
St. Augustine, pray for us!
