Did America Magazine Commit a Christological Heresy? - Solene Tadie Discusses the France Riots
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, July 13th, 2023 – St. Eugenius
I. Introduction
Commemoration of St. Eugenius of Carthage on July 13
Historical background: Vandals' invasion and persecution of Catholics in North Africa (5th Century)
II. The Plight of the Catholics in North Africa
Vandal King Genseric's persecution of Catholics, plundering of churches, and burning of bishops
Banishment of Bishop St. Quodvultdeus and 5,000 laypeople to the desert
St. Eugenius unanimously chosen as Bishop of Carthage in 481
Huneric, the Arian successor, imposed strict conditions on Catholics, including no conversions
St. Eugenius buried many martyrs who chose death over renouncing the Catholic Faith
Example of a mother encouraging her son to die for the Trinity and the Catholic Church
Many of the Catholics who apostatized from fear of martyrdom became cruel persecutors of their faithful brothers. This is the famous case of Elpidophorus who was appointed judge at Carthage. One day Deacon Muritta, who had baptized Elpidophorus when he was a child, was brought before him. With him Muritta brought the chrismale, or white garment, with which he had clothed the child after he was baptized. Showing it to the whole assembly, he said to the apostate judge: "This garment will accuse you when God the Judge shall appear in majesty on the last day. It will bear testimony against you to your condemnation. This garment that covered you when, pure and unspotted, you left the waters of Baptism, will increase your torment when you will be engulfed by the eternal flames."
VI. St. Eugenius' Exile and Death
Thrasimund's persecution and banishment of St. Eugenius to Languedoc, France
St. Eugenius' death in exile in 505, in a monastery he founded
St. Eugenius and Martyrs, pray for us!

Homosexuals Pressure Mother Into Abortion - Kelly Clarkson's Divorce Made Her Kids Question Love
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Monday, July 10th, 2023 – Saint Cyril and Methodius
Cyril became a monk, and Methodius became a governor. In 861, they were chosen to go to Russia and convert the Jewish Khazars. They did an amazing job and even created a new alphabet called Cyrillic, which is still used today by many people. After that, they went to the Balkans and taught the local people. They translated the Bible into their language and started Catholic communities in places like Bohemia and Hungary.
When Cyril passed away, Methodius faced opposition from some church leaders who didn't like that he was saying Mass in the Slavic language. But with the help of Pope John VII, Methodius overcame those challenges and kept spreading the faith.
They went to Rome to pay their respects to Pope Adrian II. In that time of struggle between the East and the West, the visit and homage the two saints rendered to the Pope was very significant. They had founded a new liturgy, and they wanted to have the approval of the Pope, who granted it.
Saint Cyril and Methodius, pray for us!

Pope Francis Meets Clinton - Vatican Appointment a Disaster - Theology of the Magisterium
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, July 6th, 2023 – St. Maria Goretti
Maria was born October 16, 1890 in Corinaldo, Italy, near Ancona to Luigi Goretti and Assunta Carlini. In 1896, her father, a farmer, moved the family to Ferriere di Conco, near Anzio. Soon afterward, he died, and the family was forced to move to the Serenelli farm to survive.
On July 6, 1902, 11-year-old Maria was stabbed to death by Alessandro Serenelli, the son of her father’s partner, while resisting his attempt to rape her. She was canonized in 1950 by Pius XII. Through her intercession, her murderer converted and became a penitent Franciscan brother.
St. Maria Goretti, a remarkable saint, offers us profound lessons on purity. Despite facing a brutal assault, she courageously sacrificed her life to protect her chastity. Today, we find ourselves in a world where immodesty and indecency are embraced, as by the introduction of scandalous bathing suits.
It's disheartening to witness the indifference of many Catholics who have gradually accepted the moral decay of societal norms. However, St. Maria Goretti's unwavering adherence to the Church's teachings on purity serves as a powerful reminder. She exemplifies the Catholic ideal of valuing purity above all else, even to the point of sacrificing her life. The preservation of purity is paramount for a harmonious social order and the stability of the family.
Let us implore St. Maria Goretti to be our patron in the defense of purity and to guide us in preserving this virtue in our lives. If we should stray from this path, we must turn to her for inspiration, seeking genuine contrition and repentance. In a world that disregards modesty, let us look to St. Maria Goretti's shining example and strive to uphold the principles of purity in our thoughts, words, and actions.
St. Maria Goretti, pray for us!

The Danger of Celebrity Culture - Independence Day - The Precious Blood of Jesus
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Wednesday, July 5th, 2023 – St. Athanasius the Athonite
Athanasius the Athonite, a monk from Trebizond, Turkey, is considered the founder of the monastic community on Mount Athos. Born in the 10th century, Athanasius studied in Constantinople and became a renowned preacher. He sought a more devout life and joined the monks at Mount Kyminas before moving to Mount Athos in Greece. There, he defended the hermits against the Saracens and established the Great Lavra monastery with the help of Nicephoros Phocas, who later became emperor.
Athanasius faced opposition from the existing hermits on Mount Athos as he tried to bring order and discipline to their lives. After Nicephoros' death, Athanasius was forced to leave Athos and live in Cyprus. However, with the support of Emperor John Tzimisces, he returned and became the abbot of the Great Lavra, introducing a rule for the monks based on the teachings of Theodore Studites and Basil of Caesarea.
Tragically, Athanasius died in an accident when the cupola of his church collapsed. He was glorified as a saint after his death.
The life of Athanasius the Athonite teaches us the power of perseverance and devotion in the face of opposition. Despite facing challenges and resistance, he remained steadfast in his mission to establish a disciplined and devout monastic community on Mount Athos. His commitment to his beliefs and his unwavering dedication to God's calling serve as an inspiration for you and I.
St. Athanasius the Athonite, pray for us!

Women Sports Protected - Dante In 100 Days - Patriarchy vs. Matriarchy
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Friday, June 30th - 2023 – Bl. Raymond Lull
Ramon Llull, also known as the "Enlightened Doctor," was a native of Majorca, Spain, renowned for his intellect and spiritual depth. Born around 1232, he initially led a worldly life as a troubadour, but his path took a profound turn when he experienced a vision of Christ crucified. This vision inspired him to convert to the Third Order of St. Francis and dedicate his life to the mission of converting Muslims to Christianity.
Driven by his mission, Ramon Llull immersed himself in the study of Arabic and Islamic philosophy, and embarked on journeys to North Africa and Asia Minor. Despite his passion and efforts, he failed to gain the support of the Holy See and the crowns of Christendom. Undeterred, he continued his quest for knowledge and recognition. Throughout his travels, he tirelessly studied and wrote on various subjects, including alchemy, chemistry, poetry, and philosophy.
Although he had received minimal training in Scholastic theology, Ramon Llull displayed a brilliant theological mind and became known as a profound mystic.
Ramon Llull's influence extended beyond his time, and he is considered a predecessor of revered saints such as Teresa of Avila and John of the Cross. It is worth noting that there is a tradition that Ramon Llull met a tragic end, being stoned to death by Muslims in North Africa.
His books were translated into Occitan, French, and Castilian during his lifetime.
Ramon Llull's life and works demonstrate his unwavering commitment to his mission, his intellectual brilliance, and his profound spiritual insight. His legacy as an enlightened doctor, philosopher, and mystic endures to this day, inspiring scholars, theologians, and seekers of truth.
We learn from Bl. Ramon that diversity of culture is good and beautiful when built on the proper foundations of the True faith and directed toward the proper ends. May we pray to Bl Ramon for the grace to embrace our culture under the banner of Christ the King.
Bl. Raymond Lull, pray for us!

Blasphemous Artist at Vatican - Guest Eduardo Verástegui - Declaration of Dependence
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, June 29th - 2023 – St. Peter and Paul
These apostles, chosen by Our Lord Jesus Christ, hold a special place in the hearts of Catholics around the world.
Though no longer with us on earth, have not ceased their intercession for the Church. Time has not diminished their power, and from the glory of Heaven, they continue to advocate for the Church and its faithful children.
Sadly, the devil has managed to dull the faith of many in recognizing the significant roles that Sts. Peter and Paul play in our lives. We must awaken from this slumber and remember that our Lord chose these two saints to carry on His work and visibly represent Him on earth.
St. Ambrose, beautifully describes the apostolic mission of the Church and the unique roles of Sts. Peter and Paul. He compares the Church to a ship, and St. Peter to a fisherman who uses both hook and net. The hook, though it wounds, converts the fish, while the net brings in multitudes.
Jesus Himself commanded St. Peter to cast his nets into deep waters, representing the depths of human hearts. And despite Peter's initial discouragement, our Lord insisted, showing us the importance of persevering in our apostolic efforts.
St. Paul, too, tirelessly fights for our souls, proclaiming that he shares in our sufferings. Let us strive to live in a way that does not cause unnecessary pain to the Apostles who intercede for us.
From Heaven, they continue to nourish and develop the apostolate they began.
As we reflect on their lives, we remember that the apostolate of St. Peter and St. Paul faced both challenges and triumphs. Their labor was not in vain, as they converted countless souls and laid the foundation for the Church. Through their examples, we learn humility, perseverance, and the importance of relying on supernatural assistance.
Thank you for joining us on this special feast day. Let us remember the intercession of Sts. Peter and Paul and seek their guidance as we continue our journey of faith. May their examples inspire us to persevere in our apostolate and deepen our devotion to the Church.
St. Peter and Paul, pray for us!

Bishop Strickland Apostolic Visitation - The Synod of Synodality
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Monday, June 26th - 2023 – St. Anne
In the days of the Old Covenant, there lived a noble and pious woman named Anne. According to ancient accounts, many of Anne's ancestors belonged to a group called the Essenes. They lived simple lives, wearing humble attire and embracing a purity of customs within their marriages. Anne's birth was foretold by an angel who left a large "M" painted on the wall of her parents' room.
At the age of five, Anne was taken to the Temple and spent twelve years there, devoted to prayer and serving God. When she returned home at seventeen, she met a man named Joachim, who would later become her husband. Joachim was a man of charm and grace, and he and Anne shared a remarkable dignity and seriousness in their conduct.
Despite their virtues, Anne and Joachim faced the burden of infertility. It was considered a disgrace in those times, but unbeknownst to them, they were chosen by God for a special mission. In their advanced age, Anne miraculously conceived a child who would become the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Essenes, from whom Anne's ancestors hailed, prefigured religious life in the Church. Their devotion and separation pointed to the future calling of monks and nuns. Anne and Joachim displayed unwavering trust and hope, even in the face of apparent abandonment by God due to their infertility.
In our own lives, we may experience delays or disappointments in fulfilling our vocations or dreams. But like Anne, we must learn to trust against all appearances and hope against all odds. God's plans often require patience and unwavering faith. St. Anne serves as a model of trust, teaching us to accept waiting periods and to follow God's path with unwavering hope.
May the story of St. Anne inspire us to embrace faith, patience, and trust, even in the midst of uncertainty. In just a few hundred words, we have glimpsed the strength and grace of this remarkable woman who played a vital role in salvation history. Let us seek her intercession and learn from her example as we journey through our own lives, trusting in God's plan for us.
St. Anne, pray for us!

Manual of Spiritual Warfare - Act of Reparation
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Friday, June 23rd - 2023 – St. Etheldreda
in primitive England, a noble princess named Etheldreda, daughter of King Anna of East Anglia, lived amidst the dawn of the Middle Ages. She was not like the delicate ladies of later centuries, adorned in fine silks and porcelain-like appearances. No, Etheldreda was strong, accustomed to laboring in the forest, tending to her own chores, and caring for livestock. She possessed both the ruggedness of her surroundings and the nobility of her birth, embodying the birth of a new era.
Etheldreda was married at a young age to Tonbert, the Prince of the Gyrwe. But despite their union, they chose to live in perfect chastity. As part of their marriage settlement, Tonbert bestowed upon her the estate of Ely. Sadly, just three years into their marriage, Tonbert passed away, leaving Etheldreda widowed. Choosing a life of seclusion and devotion, she withdrew from the court and sought refuge on the island of Ely. There, she immersed herself in penance and prayer.
However, the demands of the state intervened, and Etheldreda was married again, this time to Egfried, the young son of King Oswiu of Northumbria. Though Egfried was only fifteen, he respected Etheldreda's vow of chastity. But after twelve years, he decided to claim his conjugal rights. Etheldreda, having dedicated herself entirely to God, refused to comply. Seeking guidance, she turned to St. Wilfrid, the Bishop of Northumbria, who supported her claim and advised her to seek refuge in a convent.
With Egfried's consent, Etheldreda became a nun at Codingham Convent. However, her heart yearned for her home in Ely, and she eventually returned there. She established a grand double monastery, becoming its revered Abbess. For the remainder of her days, Etheldreda guided the monastery with wisdom and grace, leading numerous souls to heaven.
On June 23, 695, St. Etheldreda passed away within the walls of Ely, leaving behind a legacy of strength, sacrifice, and purity. Her life embodied the grandeur and contrast of that age, blending the savage with the supernatural in extraordinary beauty. Etheldreda's family was a court where saints were born, with four brothers and sisters sharing her holiness, and St. Wilfrid serving as their spiritual director. Even the two Princes who married her respected her vow of virginity, perhaps owing to their devout lives.
During the Protestant Revolution, St. Etheldreda's incorrupt body was sadly destroyed, leaving only her hand as a relic. Yet, her spirit endured, honored in a small chapel in Ely. Her example and the Ely Abbey, the religious institutions she established, were seeds that helped cultivate the Middle Ages. Etheldreda's perseverance in purity, her sacrifice of royal privileges, and her dedication to God continue to inspire those who strive for the establishment of a civilization that brings glory to God and embraces the Reign of Mary.
Let us, then, seek the intercession of St. Etheldreda, a shining beacon in the dawn of a new era. May she bless those who fight for the establishment of a civilization rooted in faith, just as she did centuries ago.
St. Etheldreda, pray for us!

Putin Vows to Deploy a Nuke - Bereft Mother Testifies Against California ‘Gender Affirmation’ Bill
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, June 22nd - 2023 – St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher
Sir Thomas More and St. John Fisher were two courageous martyrs who stood firmly for their Catholic faith during the tumultuous reign of King Henry VIII in England. Both men faced persecution and ultimately gave their lives rather than renounce their allegiance to the Pope and the Catholic Church.
Sir Thomas More, born in 1478, was a prominent lawyer and statesman who served as Lord Chancellor of England. However, when Henry VIII declared himself the head of the newly established Anglican Church, More refused to acknowledge the King's authority over the Pope. He argued that such an act violated the foundations of Christendom and the law of England itself. More was imprisoned in the Tower of London for two years, during which he wrote the book "Dialogue of the Comfort against Tribulation," using metaphorical language to portray Henry VIII as the "Great Turk" and the threat of Protestantism as a danger to the unity of the Catholic faith. More believed that the suffering he endured was nothing compared to the eternal reward of heavenly glory that awaited those who remained faithful to Christ.
St. John Fisher, born in 1469, was a respected bishop and theologian. He opposed Henry VIII's divorce from Catherine of Aragon and the establishment of the Anglican Church. Fisher refused to swear an oath recognizing the king as the Supreme Head of the Church of England, leading to his imprisonment in the Tower of London. Despite his old age and illness, Fisher remained steadfast in his faith. On the day of his execution, he calmly read from the Gospel of St. John and asked for prayers from the onlookers. He steadfastly refused offers of pardon if he renounced his position, choosing instead to embrace martyrdom.
Both More and Fisher exemplified unwavering loyalty to their Catholic beliefs, even in the face of intense persecution and the threat of death. Their stories serve as powerful reminders of the importance of standing up for one's convictions, even when it comes at great personal cost. They remind us that true glory and honor lie in fidelity to God, and that the rewards of heaven far surpass any temporal suffering or loss. Their examples continue to inspire Catholics around the world to remain steadfast in their faith and to live according to their deeply held beliefs, regardless of the challenges they may face.
Sts. Thomas More and John Fisher, pray for us!

The Pride Movement - Catholic Hospitals Providing ‘trans care’ - Chivalry vs. The Culture
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Wednesday, June 21st - 2023 – St. Leutfridus
Saint Leutfridus, a remarkable but lesser-known saint, was born in the 7th century in France. He left his noble family to become a priest and founded Saint Leufroy Abbey. Despite facing persecution from lax bishops, he possessed the gifts of miracles and prophecy. Once, a woman mocked his baldness, and he warned her of a curse. As foretold, she and her descendants had no hair on the back of their heads. Another time, he cursed a land where peasants worked on Sunday, causing it to yield only weeds. Saint Leutfridus exemplified justice and mercy, as seen in his treatment of a monk who violated the vow of poverty. He ordered the monk to be buried outside the abbey but later fasted and prayed for his soul, discovering it had been released from Purgatory. He also displayed great fury against the Devil, confronting a monstrous animal form the Devil had taken in a chapel. By making the Sign of the Cross to seal the exits, he prevented the Devil from escaping, eventually driving it away. Saint Leutfridus teaches us to oppose liberalism, uphold the sanctity of Sundays, balance justice and mercy, and harbor a strong hatred for the Devil. Let us invoke his protection and imitate his virtues as Counter-Revolutionary Catholics.
St. Leutfridus, pray for us!

The Rosary March - Is the American Dream Dead? - What are Consecrations?
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Tuesday, June 20th - 2023 – Pope St. Silverius
Pope St. Silverius, celebrated on June 20th, was a valiant defender of the Catholic faith during a time of great adversity. Despite facing mistreatment and persecution at the hands of heretics led by Empress Theodora and General Belisarius, he remained steadfast in his commitment to the truth.
Theodora, desiring approval for her chosen bishop with heretical views, sought Rome's endorsement. However, Pope Agapitus, Silverius' predecessor, deposed the bishop and condemned his followers. When Silverius was elected as Pope after Agapitus' death, Theodora persisted in her efforts, but her requests were met with consistent opposition.
In 536, General Belisarius was dispatched to Rome on Theodora's behalf. Instead of attacking the city and the Gothic invaders, he resorted to spreading false rumors about the Pope, accusing him of treason. Despite the mounting pressure, Pope Silverius refused to yield to the Empress' demands. Seeking refuge in the Church of St. Sabina, he held his ground. However, he was deceived by deceitful ambassadors who promised him a safe return to the papal palace.
Tragically, in March 537, Pope Silverius was kidnapped and exiled to the Island of Ponza. The harsh treatment he endured during his captivity led to his death in June 539.
This account underscores the challenging battles fought by the Pontiffs against heresy and the unjust actions perpetrated against them. Theodora's persistent attempts to impose heretical figures in Constantinople revealed her lack of faith and disregard for truth. General Belisarius and his officers resorted to lies and the kidnapping of the Pope due to their inability to use force against him.
Heresy, being a denial of the truth, is a particularly malicious sin.
When engaging with heretics, it is crucial to present the Church's facets that reflect her truth and sanctity. Demonstrating the Church's wisdom, divinity, and maternal goodness can have a profound impact. Seeking common ground and adopting an ecumenical approach is insufficient for conversion. Instead, it is necessary to illuminate the aspects that heretics are missing.
However, if a heretic persists in rejecting the Catholic Church, it becomes necessary to publicly confront and refute their errors to prevent their spread. This does not negate the teachings of Our Lord but serves as a defense against evil and its influence. The Church's militant nature requires a steadfast and courageous response.
Pope St. Silverius' life serves as a reminder of the ongoing enmity between heretics and the Catholic Church, as prophesied in Scripture. In emulation of his example, let us remain vigilant in defending the Catholic faith against the forces of heresy, guided by the Holy Spirit.
Pope St. Silverius, pray for us!

AMC Theatres Cancels De-Transitioner Film Following Trans Group’s De-Platforming Campaign
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Monday, June 19th - 2023 – St. Ephraem the Syrian
St. Ephraem (306-373) was born in Nisibis, Mesopotamia. He became a disciple of St. James, Bishop of Nisibis, and probably accompanied him to the Council of Nicea in 325. The deliverance of Nisibis from the Persians is attributed to his prayers. He retired to a cave near Edessa where he did most of his writing. He visited St. Basil at Caesarea in 370. Ephraem wrote many works on dogmatic and ascetical themes. He also strongly combated the Arians and Gnostics in numerous works.
He was one of the greatest pioneers of Mariology and was known for his defense of the Immaculate Conception. As a missionary, he wanted to make the truths he taught as amenable as possible to the people. For this reason he composed poems and songs for them to sing. They were so pleasing that he became known as the Lyre of the Holy Spirit. He was proclaimed a Doctor of the Church in 1920.
In those cities and villages of 4th century Mesopotamia, adults and children learned Catholic doctrine by means of the songs of St. Ephraem. They would sing his songs during their work in the fields at day, with their family at night, during their celebrations and feasts, and so on. St. Ephraem had the genial good spirit to inaugurate this type of apostolate that answered the legitimate need of the people for songs to glorify Our Lady.
The apostolate of song that St. Ephraem made reminds me of how songs were often made in the past to accompany major episodes in Catholic life. For instance, the epopee of the Crusades had many songs Catholic knights would sing either en marche to battle or in the battle itself that prepared them to die for Our Lord Jesus Christ. It is beautiful to consider the warrior prepared to give his life for Christ. It is the beauty of heroism, the beauty of the war for Our Lord. Contemplating this, we admire those who are ready to pay God the tribute of their lives. Even if his death achieves no practical goal, the Catholic knight offers it for the sole reason of paying a perfect tribute to God. God created that Catholic knight, and he offers himself to God as a precious perfume that emits from its bottle in order to glorify Him. It is the beauty of the holocaust.
The Holy Ghost who inspired St. Ephraem to compose songs in order to teach people good Catholic doctrine will perhaps also inspire other composers to write songs to prepare Catholics to fight and act for the glory of God and Our Lady in the great events predicted by Her at Fatima.
Let us pray to St. Ephraem on his feast day and ask him to give us an understanding of the Catholic Church in all her beauty and poetry, so that even if we are not able to compose songs and hymns for the glory of God and Our Lady as he did, we can admire them and elevate our souls.
St. Ephraem the Syrian, pray for us!

Muslim Community in America Ban the Pride Flag - Patrick O Hearn Talks About How Saints Met Spouses
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Friday, June 16th - 2023 – The Feast of the Sacred Heart
This is a story that spans centuries, a story of divine intimacy and friendship, beckoning us to rediscover our connection with the heart of our Savior.
In the beginning, when God created Adam and Eve, humanity reveled in the harmony of divine companionship. But with the fall of mankind, that connection was severed, and the world became a place of toil and suffering. Yet, in His boundless mercy, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us, to heal the wounds caused by sin.
It was in the 17th century that Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, revealing His Sacred Heart and calling the world to return to Him, to seek solace and restoration through devotion to His Heart. This was more than a personal piety; it was a worldview, a call to action, and a profound invitation to experience divine love.
God desired that devotion to the Sacred Heart begin with the influential King Louis XIV and the French court, radiating from there to the rest of Christendom and beyond. The Sacred Heart was meant to reign not only in individual hearts and families but also in the very heart of nations, including their rulers. It symbolized both the tender shepherd and the valiant warrior, encompassing the breadth of Christ's mission.
Throughout history, there have been remarkable individuals and nations who embraced the devotion to the Sacred Heart. From the brave Chouans in the Vendée and Brittany to the unwavering Carlists in the Spanish Civil War, those who bore the emblem of the Sacred Heart on their arms demonstrated their allegiance to Christ in the face of adversity. Even in modern times we see this with Gabriel Garcia Moreno, the President of Ecuador, who consecrated his nation to the Sacred Heart, even in the face of martyrdom.
The message of the Sacred Heart is a call to conversion, not only for individuals but also for nations. It invites us to restore Christendom, to allow the Sacred Heart to reign in the hearts of rulers and permeate society at every level. It is a path of mercy, love, and renewal that extends far beyond personal piety, offering hope and restoration to a world in need.
Let us embrace the invitation of the Sacred Heart. Let us rekindle the flame of divine intimacy and friendship, allowing it to guide us on our path. May the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus be our compass in this tumultuous world, leading us to a place of divine connection and everlasting love.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

Texas Republicans Kill 48 Conservative Bills - Michael Hichborn reports on Catholic Hospitals
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, June 15th - 2023 – St. Germaine Cousin
St. Germaine Cousin, born in 1579 in the village of Pibrac near Toulouse, France, led a life filled with suffering and humiliation. Afflicted with a deformed and partially paralyzed hand, as well as poor health, she was subjected to mistreatment and cruelty by her stepmother. Germaine lived in a small, cramped space under the stairs of the family barn, sleeping on leaves and twigs with only black bread and water for sustenance.
Despite her hardships, Germaine found solace in her unwavering faith. She spent her days tending to the family's flock, praying fervently and attending Mass whenever she could. Her devotion to God remained unshakeable, even in the face of ridicule from villagers who mocked her misery. She never complained or sought relief from her difficult circumstances, maintaining a serene and composed demeanor.
Germaine's trust in God was rewarded with numerous miracles. When she needed to cross a raging stream to attend Mass, the waters miraculously parted, allowing her safe passage. Her flock thrived under her care, never causing any harm or straying, and her sheep were the healthiest and best-looking in the area. On one occasion, when accused of stealing bread, her stepmother discovered a bouquet of beautiful and fragrant flowers in Germaine's apron instead.
Her reputation for performing miracles spread throughout the region, and even two Popes, Pius VII and Pius IX, sought her intercession to free them from captivity. Despite the fame and recognition she garnered, Germaine remained humble and unaffected.
In the end, Germaine's life came to a peaceful close. Found dead on her simple pallet at the age of 22, she left behind a legacy of sanctity and humility.
In a century marked by vainglory and self-love, she embodied the opposite virtues of humility and selflessness. Despite her lowly status and the cruelty she endured, she remained steadfast in her devotion to God and accepted her sufferings with grace. Her life teaches us to endure persecution and humiliation without resentment, to trust in God's providence, and to embrace humility as a path to heavenly glory.
As counter-revolutionaries, we can draw inspiration from St. Germaine's example. Just like her, we may face mockery, isolation, and hatred for the Texas House Republicans Kill 48 Conservative Bills cause we represent. Yet, like her, we should learn to endure these challenges with humility and meekness. While personal offenses should not provoke our indignation, we should vigorously defend God and the Catholic Church when they are attacked.
St. Germaine Cousin, pray for us.

Rosary Rallies Across America - FDA Revokes Johnson & Johnson COVID - Austin Ruse on Woke Backlash
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Wednesday, June 14th - 2023 – St. Basil the Great
St. Basil the Great, a venerable Bishop and renowned Doctor of the Church, left a profound mark on history. His greatness was affirmed through a vision granted to a hermit named Ephrem, who witnessed a column of fire ascending to the heavens, symbolizing Basil's extraordinary holiness. Initially skeptical, Ephrem's doubts were dispelled when he saw a tongue of flame emanating from Basil's mouth as they conversed. This miraculous sign confirmed Basil's sanctity, and Ephrem exclaimed, "Truly Basil is great, truly Basil is a column of fire, truly the Holy Spirit speaks through his mouth!"
Another hermit, observing Basil in his grand episcopal attire, harbored disdain, presuming that the Bishop derived pleasure from such pomp. However, a voice spoke to the hermit, revealing that Basil found less delight in his dignified apparel than the hermit did in stroking his own cat. This gentle rebuke highlighted the hermit's attachment to small comforts and affirmed that one's soul is saved by following the path God has chosen for them, whether in solitude or amidst riches.
St. Basil's unwavering commitment to truth and justice led him to confront Emperor Valens, who favored the Arian heresy and unjustly confiscated a Catholic church. Fearlessly, Basil stood before the Emperor, reminding him that a king's honor loves judgment and justice. Valens, frustrated, retorted, "This is unworthy of you!" Basil fearlessly replied, "What is worthy of me is to die, if I must, for justice!" His resolute defense of truth demonstrated his unwavering dedication to God's principles.
To resolve the dispute over the confiscated church, Basil proposed a divine judgment. The doors would be sealed, and both Catholics and Arians would pray for their rightful claim. If God opened the doors in response to their supplications, the true owners would be revealed. Despite the Arians' fervent prayers for three days and nights, the doors remained closed. In contrast, as Basil led a majestic procession to the church, he struck the doors gently with his pastoral crook, and they swung open effortlessly. The people, rejoicing and grateful to God, witnessed the church's return to the Catholics.
Although these accounts may contain elements of legend, they convey profound spiritual truths. They underscore the delicate balance between poverty and riches within the Church, teaching that both paths can lead to sanctity. St. Basil's unwavering courage in confronting both heresy and secular authority inspires us to defend truth and justice in our own lives. These stories invite us to marvel at the divine order of things and cultivate a spirit of admiration for the heavenly realities that await us.
St. Basil the Great, pray for us.

Daily Wire Banned From YouTube - French Catholic Hero saves Kids - Bill Donohue on the War on Virtue
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Tuesday, June 13th - 2023 – St. Anthony of Padua
St. Anthony of Padua, whose feast day we celebrate today, was a remarkable saint known for his profound knowledge of Scriptures and his fearless defense of the Catholic faith. Often referred to as the "Ark of the Covenant" and the "Hammer of Heretics," he left a lasting impact on the Church.
Giotto's painting of St. Anthony, admired by Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira during his visit to Assisi, depicted a strong and majestic man. This portrayal resonated with St. Anthony's character as a Doctor of the Church, an expert in Scriptures, and a defender of the faith.
St. Anthony possessed an extraordinary understanding of Scripture. He could quote even the most obscure passages and expound upon them, using them to challenge and refute heretics. His knowledge was coupled with his ability to engage in powerful debates, leaving his opponents defeated. Miracles often accompanied his preaching, further confirming his divine support and earning him the title "Hammer of Heretics."
Unfortunately, the popular portrayal of St. Anthony today often diminishes his true nature. Sentimental depictions show him as a young man with a gentle demeanor, holding the Child Jesus with an air of confusion. This sentimental piety distorts the image of the militant St. Anthony, who fearlessly defended the Church and its teachings.
St. Anthony's militant character is exemplified in two historical incidents. In one, a Spanish fleet was besieging the Muslim city of Oram, and the Spanish Admiral, facing a futile siege, turned to a statue of St. Anthony for intercession. He placed his insignias of command on the statue and implored St. Anthony to take command of the siege. Shortly after, the Moors inexplicably abandoned the city, reportedly in fear of a friar threatening them with heavenly fire.
The second incident occurred in Rio de Janeiro, where the city was under attack by French Calvinist forces. The Catholic resistance was weakening, but the presence of a statue of St. Anthony in a central square inspired a renewed spirit of determination among the Brazilian Catholics. Young men flocked to join the army, and with their support, the Calvinists were defeated, ensuring Brazil remained a Catholic nation.
St. Anthony's life and example urge us to become enthusiastic admirers of Catholic militancy, just as he was. Let us seek his intercession to help eradicate sentimental piety and embrace the true essence of our faith.
St. Anthony of Padua, pray for us.

Witches Seen Eating Animals in Backyard - Trans Man Expresses Loneliness
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Monday, June 12th - 2023 – St. Gush ad Azad
Saint Gush ad Azad, whose feast we celebrate on June 12th, was a powerful figure in the Persian Empire during the fourth century. Born into a society that worshipped the sun god Mitra, Gush ad Azad converted to the Catholic faith through the apostolate of St. Bartholomew. However, when Emperor Shapur II decreed a persecution against Catholics, Gush ad Azad, fearing for his life, renounced his faith.
One fateful day, as he was being led to prison, Gush ad Azad encountered Bishop Simeon, a friend and Catholic. But instead of receiving a warm greeting, the bishop averted his gaze with indignation, deeply affecting Gush ad Azad. The eunuch realized the gravity of his betrayal, and his heart was filled with remorse.
Driven by his newfound remorse and a desire for true conversion, Gush ad Azad changed his outward appearance, donning mourning garments in a dramatic display of sorrow. This unexpected transformation drew attention at the royal court, and Emperor Shapur II summoned him to explain his change in demeanor.
In the presence of the emperor and his court, Gush ad Azad confessed his twofold perfidy—betraying his God and the emperor himself. He spoke of his hypocrisy in worshipping the sun while his heart protested the action. Unyielding in his position, Gush ad Azad was condemned to death.
Before facing his execution, Gush ad Azad requested a last favor from the emperor. He asked that heralds proclaim throughout the city of Susa that he was being put to death because of his Catholic faith and refusal to renounce God. The emperor granted his request, and the proclamation echoed through the streets, inspiring and fortifying the faith of the dispersed Catholic community.
Thus, on Maundy Thursday in the year 344, Saint Gush ad Azad embraced martyrdom. His conversion and steadfastness in the face of death became an example of grace triumphing over weakness and a testament to the power of prayer.
We can learn from Saint Gush ad Azad's story the importance of seeking true conversion, even in the midst of our greatest failings. His journey reminds us of the unfailing mercy of Our Lady and the potential for redemption when we turn to her with confidence. May Saint Gush ad Azad intercede for us and inspire us to walk in fidelity and love for God and Our Lady, so that we may one day join him in the glory of Heaven for all eternity.
St. Gush ad Azad, pray for us.

Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Friday, June 9th - 2023 – Venerable José of Anchieta
Fr. José of Anchieta (1534-1597) was the evangelizer of Brazil and the founder of São Paulo. Yet, many Brazilians are unaware of his greatness.
Anchieta's life holds valuable lessons. He tirelessly served indigenous peoples, overcoming hardships in his missionary journeys. He risked his life as a hostage to maintain peace among the Tamoios Indians. He united Mamelukes, Indians, and Portuguese in their love for Christ.
Anchieta's devotion to the Catholic Church, Jesus Christ, and the Virgin Mary was unwavering. His sand-written poetry on São Vicente's beaches testifies to his deep faith.
Today, Brazilian Catholics should embrace Anchieta's example. His labor, sacrifice, peacemaking, obedience, and defense of the faith are needed in Brazil.
Let us restore order, forsaking petty ambitions and engaging in battles for the Church. The Marian youth of Brazil, following Anchieta's lead, revitalize faith and prepare for future challenges.
Honoring José of Anchieta, statues stand in downtown São Paulo.
Venerable José of Anchieta, pray for us.

Kansas City has Many Invalid Masses - John Yep on the Dodgers Blasphemy
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Wednesday, June 7th - 2023 – St. Willibald
Willibald, an 8th-century bishop of Eichstätt in Bavaria, was known for his extensive travels and devout missionary work. Born in Wessex around 700, he was the son of Richard the Pilgrim and Wuna of Wessex, with a brother named Winibald and a sister named Walburga.
At the age of three, Willibald fell seriously ill. Miraculously, he survived and entered the Benedictine monastery at Waldheim at age five, embracing the monastic ideal of peregrinatio religiosa.
In 721, Willibald embarked on a pilgrimage to Rome with his father and brother. Along the way, they visited shrines and prayed, but their journey took a tragic turn when his father passed away. Willibald and Winibald continued their pilgrimage until they fell seriously ill, but through their prayers, they were miraculously healed.
Willibald and his companions sailed to Naples in 724, exploring Sicily and Greece before reaching Asia Minor. They visited various holy sites, including Ephesus and the tomb of John the Evangelist. Their pilgrimage eventually led them to the Holy Land.
After his pilgrimage, Willibald joined the Benedictine community at Monte Cassino, playing a vital role in the monastery's reformation.
In 738, Willibald received a request from Boniface, a prominent missionary, to assist in his work in Germany. Willibald arrived in Eichstätt, where he was ordained a priest by Boniface in 741 and consecrated as the bishop of Eichstätt in 746.
Under Willibald's guidance, the double monastery of Heidenheim was founded in 742, becoming an influential center for the spread of Christianity.
For over four decades, Willibald dedicated himself to his episcopal duties, sharing his inspiring journey and teachings. His life and travels left a lasting impact on the Church.
Today, Willibald is remembered as a devout bishop, a courageous traveler, and a dedicated missionary. His shrine is located at the Eichstätt Cathedral in Germany, where his relics are preserved. His feast day is celebrated on July 7th, commemorating his remarkable life and unwavering faith.
St. Willibald, Pray for us.

Mary O'Regan Reviews Shia LeBouf Padre Pio Film - Sacred Heart of Jesus Month of June
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Monday, June 5th - 2023 – St. Norbert
Saint Norbert, born in Xanten around 1080, led a life of contrasts and transformation. Initially drawn to worldly pleasures, Norbert served as a courtier and almoner to powerful figures. However, a near-death experience during a thunderstorm changed his outlook. This event prompted Norbert to embrace a life of penance and devotion to God.
Seeking guidance, Norbert turned to Abbot Cono of Siegburg. Under his direction, Norbert underwent spiritual renewal and founded the Abbey of Fürstenberg, generously endowing it with his own property. Norbert's commitment to his faith deepened, leading him to become a priest. After a retreat at Siegburg Abbey, he celebrated his first Mass and delivered a powerful sermon on the transient nature of worldly pleasures.
Throughout his life, Norbert faced challenges. Accused of being an innovator, he resigned from his positions and embraced poverty and humility. He sought counsel from Pope Gelasius and was granted the authority to preach. Norbert zealously confronted heresies, converted many, and reconciled enemies.
In 1120, at the Pope's request, Norbert founded the Abbey of Prémontré and established the Norbertines. The Order thrived, with numerous houses founded. Women from noble families also joined the order.
As Archbishop of Magdeburg, Norbert faced challenges in combating heresies, reforming clergy, and promoting peace. He fearlessly defended the true Pope and Church authority.
Saint Norbert died on June 6, 1134, in Magdeburg. His body was laid to rest in the Norbertine Abbey of St. Mary, where his tomb became a site of miracles. Norbert was canonized by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582, leaving behind a legacy of holiness and reform.
Saint Norbert's life inspires personal conversion and faith renewal. His devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, tireless preaching, and establishment of a prayerful religious order have left an indelible mark on the Church's history.
St. Norbert, Pray for us.
