Diver Puts Shark In Trance To Remove Hook From Its Mouth
We have seen so many videos where mere humans come out to help hapless animals in dire circumstances. Deer have been untangled from wire fencing, turtles were rescued from fishing nets… but we have never seen a diver approach one of the most dangerous creatures of the sea to help it out. Until now.
One brave diver puts his hands next to the mouth of a dusky shark to remove a fishing hook, but not before hypnotizing the predator. The footage shows experience diver Michael Dornellas coming to the aid of the shark off the coast of Jupiter, Florida.
The technique he uses is called “tonic immobility”, which allows Michael to shove his hand into the 10 foot shark and remove the hook from its mouth. It is quite common to see a shark swimming with a hook in its mouth in the waters around Florida, as fishermen catch them for sport and then release them, with the hook intact. Since they are stainless steel, it can take years for them to rust and human intervention is necessary.
The 32-year-old explains that this is never 100% safe; nothing guarantees your safety when you are swimming with predators. "I’ve seen hooks work their way back, cutting open the jaws of the shark,” he said.
The self-employed diver has been swimming with sharks for years and currently teaches people about them. He hopes that the clip will educate people that sharks aren’t the vicious killing machines that Hollywood likes to portray them as.

Brodie The 'Wonky Faced' Dog Proves It's Okay To Be Different | BIG DOGZ
MEET the brave dog who has become a social media star - after being attacked by his own mother as a puppy. Brodie - the ‘Picasso masterpiece’ dog - is a one-year-old German Shepherd / Border Collie cross who now lives with cranial deformities. Amanda Richter, 30 and Brad Ames, 23, of Alberta, Canda, saw Old Macdonald Kennels’ Facebook post asking for applications to adopt him and, after deciding to visit, instantly fell in love. Amanda told Barcroft Studios: “And I literally looked at the picture and would cry and just be like, we have to go meet this dog.” Brad said: “I spent an hour with him. I had to take him home.” Brodie is a special needs dog because he needs a little bit of help with things. He is blind in one eye so he requires eye drops everyday and due to his fused jaw, cannot eat like other dogs. However, while he looks different, his owners said he behaves like any other dog. Brad told Barcroft Studios: “The disability doesn't slow him down in any way.” Brodie has become a bit of a social media sensation after Amanda set up an Instagram account for him - @bestboybrodie - so that people could keep up to date with his story and has over 150,000 followers. Amanda said: “He definitely looks like a little Picasso masterpiece for sure.” Amanda and Brad hope that after a bit of training, Brodie will become a therapy dog. Amanda said: “We'd like to take him maybe into old folks homes, children's hospitals, group homes for people that have disabilities, that kind of thing.”

Cage Diver Has Close Encounter With Fearsome Great White Shark
It is the moment everyone who goes diving fears of! One ferocious beast of the deep goes straight for the divers and leaves with a sore head - from bumping into their cage.
Jeremy Stewart was on a holiday in Gansbaai, South Africa, which is the epicenter for all things shark related. It is the dream location of everyone who would like to take a dive with the great white sharks. The Canadian was apparently one of these folks, and he chose to plunge in the waters of Gansbaai, which is also ominously knows as ‘Shark Alley’.
But the Vancouver native was left awestruck when the 10 foot Great White lunged for the bait his tour used and missed, slamming into the protective caging instead! Jeremy said: “I was pretty confident the cage would protect us and the shark didn't seem interested in us. It was just going after the bait. For the most part I was calm, it was amazing to see these awesome creatures in the wild.
“However the moment when it hit the cage I got to feel its incredible power. For that second I don't know what I was thinking I just wanted to get out of the way. You're pretty safe as long as you keep all your limbs inside the cage. But you forget all that when its swimming right at you with its huge jaws of serrated teeth.”
It must have been some encounter. But the 36-year-old admits that it did not dissuade him from going back into the water. In fact, the next day he went surfing to Jeffrey’s Bay, which is about a day’s ride down the coast from Gansbaai.

Photographers Make Adorable Unique Dog Portraits
Raising funds for animals can oftentimes be a very difficult task. In our modern society, we seldom have time or will to think about those without a voice or a home. But two Canadian photographers are making a difference for the animals in a very creative and unique way.
Two creatives have a unique angle to their dog portraits - underneath them! Tania Ryan and Jason Kenzie, from Vancouver, have been at it again with The Underdogs Project to raise money for animal welfare. This time around they’ve revealed their secrets to how they photograph the quirky canines.
Tania said: "“We both not only share the love of pets but also photography, and while we were working on creating the first of these photographs it became clear to us that we needed to do something special with these photos to help raise funds and awareness for animal welfare.” Photographer, Jason, lies beneath a strong sheet of glass, whilst Tania entices the quirky canine with treats.
The results are these awesome portraits that capture the pure essence of dogs - happiness, loyalty and endless love for humans. Each of these dogs has its own unique traits, and these photographers have done a lovely job in portraying that. So cool!

Meet ‘Frozen’ the 130lbs ‘Polar Bear’ Pitbull | BIG DOGZ
Meet Frozen – the canine internet star leading a new line of muscular, all-white designer Pitbulls. The 130lbs American Pitbull and his owner Jose Jimenez, aged 30, make for an impressive sight in their neighbourhood park in Florida. The giant all white dog, nicknamed “Polar Bear”, is twice the size of a normal Pitbull, which generally weigh up to around 60lbs.Jose has been working with Pitbulls for over ten years, but it was the now five-year-old Frozen who took his interest in breeding to the next level. Whilst attending dog shows with the impressive canine, Jose was often asked to breed puppies, being offered good money for a junior “Polar Bear”. Jose told Barcroft TV: “I started to attend shows and make videos of him socialising with my children, and people liked it. When I started doing shows people started to ask for the puppies of our dogs.” Together with their other dogs including Joker and Barbie, Jose and his wife Diana are now creating a breed line of extra muscular Pitbulls called “Jimenez Whiteline”, based on the predominantly white dogs. Jose said: “As I only have white dogs, that’s where the name Whiteline comes from. What I want to do with Frozen is to make a breed line. A dog that has more muscles than Frozen.” Their goal is to breed a dog that has even more muscles than Frozen, yet as Jose explains; “It’s not about the size of the dog, it’s much more about proportion which makes a dog look beautiful”. But Jose admits that Frozen can be quite a handful. He said: “Frozen is powerful. One day he tore off the leash, escaped the yard and broke two fences. I have no idea how he did it. He does have a lot of strength.” But Jose is quick to defend Frozen against any suggestions that he might be a danger to anyone. He said: “Oh no, not at all. Frozen is not dangerous to other people. Frozen enjoys being petted and touched. He’s got zero aggression with other people. Frozen has a good temperament with people. If you have a chihuahua and you raise it in an aggressive way, it’s going to be aggressive.” But it’s not just about the bulk and power of the dogs in Jose and Diana‘s kennel, they are very much part of the Jimenez Family and offers up to $70.000 for Frozen have been kindly declined. Jose said: “For me it’s not an option to sell Frozen.”

This Woman Has An Elephant For A Best Friend And Their Bond Is Unbreakable
Elephants are the biggest mammals with the biggest hearts who know nothing but good and love. They are adorable and loving animals who can create bonds not just with other animals, but with humans too. Elephants are about as friendly as humans-which means, they can be incredibly, and that’s why they can form bonds with humans and become best friends.
That was the case with Lauryn Murray and her huge elephant Lady Essex who became best friends and are inseparable. Take a look at this video and see what true friendship look like!
WHAT if your best friend weighed 10,000lbs and was able to crush a watermelon under her foot? Acrobat and animal handler Lauryn Murray, 33, from Florida, grew up in a circus and spends almost every day caring for Lady Essex, a huge Asian elephant. Lauryn says the two are 'as close as a human and an elephant can be.’ Amazingly, Lady Essex plays fetch with Lauryn’s dogs and even likes to play with her three-year-old son, who helps bath her.
“How close are me and Lady Essex? Well, just as close as humans and animals can be. I grew up in a circus. Lady Essex became part of our family before I was born. She is an Asian elephant, she almost weights 10,000 pounds. Caring for her, it’s a full-time job. “ Lauryn talks about her bond with her elephant bestie.
Her day is entirely dedicated to her friend. She wakes up, drinks her coffee and then she goes on a long walk with her, and after that, if the weather is good, she will have her bath, then she will drink her water and eat.
And throughout the day, they will go through the same things, and periodically they will do certain things like teaching her new tricks like throwing a ball or kicking a ball, or she will play fetch with her dog.
“So elephants have over 40,000 muscles in their trunk alone. You know, that’s more than the human body, and they can drink up to 60 gallons of water in one sitting, “ tell Lauryn how much she knows her friend.
She spends almost every day with her since she was born. She says that Lady Essex has a fantastic personality and her considerers her as part of the family. This is a tremendous story, and we hope you will share this video so people can see how beautiful are elephants!

Angry Elephant Topples Car
We have all had those days when just about anything would set us off into a flurry of anger, wanting to destroy everything in our path. Check out this INCREDIBLE footage of an angry elephant easily flipping over a car with its trunk. The elephant was appearing at a local festival called Ambalapura in Thrissur, Kerela in Southern India when it went on the rampage. The elephant easily flipped over motor cycles and the car before being calmed down.
That elephant flipped the car like it was nothing, like it wasn't even there in the first place. When we get really angry, there are moments that we wish we had the power to flip a car like this. This elephant is expressing and doing what we all dreamed of doing. Sometimes you just have to blow off some steam.
Although you can't release all your anger and stress by flipping a car, you could always try using a punching bag or other equipment like that to get out anger and frustrations. Rescued Pup Blissfully Enjoys His First Shower
When it comes to bath time, the dogs are divided. They either love it to the moon and back, or refuse to be associated with the stuff. But one tiny little pup seems to really be enjoying his first puppy shower, in the hands of the good people who rescued him from certain death.
The two-week-old was found abandoned in a dumpster with his two sisters, but now it looks like his troubles are a million miles away. The small litter was found by Dallas Animal Service and referred to the DFW Rescue Me animal shelter, where volunteer Claire Fowler was tasked with looking after the babies.
The 21-year-old student said: “The little guys need round-the-clock care – they can’t use the restroom by themselves or even regulate their own body temperature. I do everything for them and they need to be fed every couple of hours.”
When asked for what made her decide to film this glorious moment of blissful nirvana, Claire said: “I decided to film him in the bath because he was enjoying it so much and I really wanted to capture it. He just looked so content.”
She adds that his sisters don’t enjoy bath time as much, but it still has to be done. None of the babes have names yet because they are still so young, but Clair is certain they will all get strong names.
This little brown dude will definitely not grow up to be like the Great Dane, who did everything in her power to stay dirty.

After more than a year apart, an animal advocate has reunited with his best friend – a CHEETAH. Dolph C. Volker, 50, has volunteered at the Cheetah Experience Breeding Centre in Bloemfontein, South Africa, on and off for over four years.
Despite living in America, and spending little time with the animals at the breeding centre, Dolph has managed to create a special bond with one of the male cheetahs, Gabriel. Dolph often goes a full year without seeing his best buddy – but the predator recognises him almost immediately and remembers all of the things they used to do together. And during his time at the sanctuary in January 2018, Dolph managed to hand-feed Gabriel and spend the entire night sleeping next to him out in the open.
“It takes a long time to reach an imprinting and bonding relationship with a wild animal. A wild predator, “ Dolf says. “I’ve been volunteering now at Cheetah Experience for over four years. It started when Gabriel was a cub and I got to know him at eight months old. It was an absolute joy. We became super friends.”
Gabriel is super special to Dolf for a multitude of reasons, but the main one is fulfilling his lifelong dream. Dolf always wanted to befriend a predator. The big cat remembered all the special things they liked to do, like getting up close, putting his paws on Dolf’s shoulders and grooming him.

A YOUNG woman takes care of more than 70 reptiles – and they live with her at home. 21-year-old, Savi Serrott, has been dubbed the ‘Reptile Queen’ for her work with giant snakes and lizards. Savi even goes out hunting for Burmese pythons in the Everglades during her spare time, something she chooses to do for the ‘conservation of the ecosystem’. Savi, who resides in Miami, acknowledges that most of her pets have the potential to be deadly, but that is something that has never phased her. She told Barcroft TV: “I’ve never been scared to interact with my animals because I trust myself pretty well. Yes I share my house with more than 70 reptiles, but why wouldn’t I want to keep them in my house? It’s the same reason you’d do that with your dog or cat – they’re my pets and they need to be taken care of.” Savi got her first reptile when she was just six years old. Her mother, Michelle Serrott, said: “Savi has had a passion for reptiles since she was in diapers.” Savi added: “People are always scared when they visit my house. Very few people even come into the reptile room. Savi’s largest snake at home is Cookie, her eight-foot Argentine Boa constrictor. “Cookie is really beautiful,” Savi said. “Overall, I have two Argentine Boa constrictors, a Colombian Boa, Tree Boas, Ball pythons, Hognose snakes, turtles, tortoises, red-foot tortoises, iguanas, monitors – the list is endless. I spend roughly $350 a month to feed them all. All these reptiles are a lot to take care of sometimes, but it’s my passion and I wouldn’t trade it.” Savi has amassed a large following online, with more than 23,000 followers on Instagram loving her work. Savi is now focusing her attention to adding to her reptile family and she can’t wait to see what her future holds in the animal world. She added: “Look, I like animals more than I like people.”
