Today we are in Lesson-41 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. This lesson is titled “The Thousand Years - Part I” and our focus passage is Revelation 20:1-6. Please find your way in your Bible to that passage. In our previous episode, we concluded our study of Revelation 19, “The Return of the King”. In Rev. 19, John witnessed the Wedding of the Lamb and His victory over Antichrist. The primary focus of this chapter is on the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. This means, His physical, visible return to this earth to complete the work of restoration. Jesus made a promise to His people (cf. Matthew 24:29-31; John 14:1-3; I Thess 4:13-17), and this is the moment in which that promise is fulfilled. We should always remember that Jesus Christ, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, will return to reunite with His people and to rule the nations. In today’s lesson we begin our study of Revelation 20. As we get towards the end of Revelation, today we encounter what it is one of the most hotly debated passages in all of the study of prophecy: The Thousand-Year Reign of Christ or the Millennium There are several views on this concept of the Millennium. And I have a spoiler alert for you: We won’t arrive to a single unified view in this lesson. Why? We have not been able to agree on the subject in over 2K years of Christendom. So, what we are going to do? What we always do in this Bible Study Ministry. We’ll work our way through the passage. We’ll see what Scripture has to say and then we will find ways to apply that knowledge. We will look at what honest Bible scholars and teachers have to say about the subject. We won’t answer every question and we won’t agree on every point. And guess what? That’s ok! The church fathers, the reformers, and past and present well-meaning bible scholars hold different views on the Millennium. Let’s get started.

Today we are in Lesson-40 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. This lesson is titled “The Return of the King – Part II” and our focus passage is Revelation 19:11-21. Please find your way in your Bible to that passage. In our previous episode, we began our study of Revelation 19. This chapter is focused on the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in all His glory. This means, His physical, visible return to this earth to complete the work of restoration. Jesus made a promise (cf. Matthew 24:29-31; John 14:1-3; I Thess 4:13-17), and this is the moment in which that promise is fulfilled. From the moment Jesus ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives (cf. Acts 1:9-11), this is the moment that the church has been waiting for over 2,000 years. He is coming back to judge and to rule. Last time, we focused on “The Worship of the King” (v1-6) and “The Wedding of the King” (v7-10). In today’s lesson we are going to focus on the “The War of the King” (v11-21). Let’s get started.

Today we are in Lesson-39 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. This lesson is titled “The Return of the King - Part I” and our focus passage is Revelation 19:1-10. We should always remember that there will be a definite and complete end to all sin, wickedness, and opposition to Almighty God. In today’s lesson we begin our study of Revelation 19. Today we are in Lesson-38 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. This lesson is titled “The Fall of Babylon – Part II” and our focus passage is Revelation 18:9-24. Please find your way in your Bible to that passage. In our previous episode, we began our study of Revelation 18. With this lesson we are concluding what you can call a mini-series on the ultimate demise of Babylon, the evil world system that opposes God and oppresses His people. Last time, we covered focus on the first division, “The Judgment of Babylon” (v1-8). In today’s lesson we are going to focus on the “The Lament Over Babylon” (v9-19) and “The End of Babylon” (v20-24). Let’s get started.

Today we are in Lesson-37 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. This lesson is titled “The Fall of Babylon – Part I” and our focus passage is Revelation 18:1-8. In Rev. 17, John sees a vision of the doom planned for Babylon. Babylon represents the opposition system to God driven, engineered by Satan, and led by the Beast, the Antichrist. From the tower of Babel to the Babylonian empire to the Roman empire (under which John is living), Babylon opposes God and persecutes His people. In today’s lesson we begin our study of Revelation 18. With this chapter we are concluding what you can call a mini-series on the ultimate demise of Babylon, the evil world system that opposes God and oppresses His people. Revelation 17 declared the judgment of Babylon and in Rev. 18 we will see that judgment carried out. We will get also more details about the devastating nature of this judgment. In today’s lesson we will focus on the first division, “The Judgment of Babylon” (v1-8). Then next time we will conclude our study of this chapter and we will focus on the “The Lament Over Babylon” (v9-19) and “The End of Babylon” (v20-24). Let’s get started.

Today we are in Lesson-36 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. This lesson is titled “The Doom of Babylon – Part II” and our focus passage is Revelation 17:8-18. Please find your way in your Bible to that passage. In our previous episode, we began our study of Revelation 17-18. In these two chapters the focus is on the fate of that entity referred to in Scripture as Babylon. Babylon represents the opposition system to God driven, engineered by Satan, and led by the Beast, the Antichrist. From the tower of Babel to the Babylonian empire to the Roman empire (under which John is living), Babylon opposes God and persecutes His people. In verses 1-7 of Rev. 17, this entity, Babylon the great, is represented by a great harlot. She is held responsible for the sins of the whole world, and she is going to receive the full payment of God’s wrath. In today’s lesson we will focus on verses 8-18 and we will see how the Scarlet Beast and the Lamb of God play into the doom of Babylon. Let’s get started.

Today we are in Lesson-35 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. This lesson is titled “The Doom of Babylon – Part I” and our focus passage is Revelation 17:1-7. In our previous episode, we concluded our study of Revelation 15-16, “The Endgame: Bowls of Wrath”. In Rev. 15, we saw the table for the endgame being set. We studied the preparation and the setup for the final outpouring of God’s judgment. Then in Rev. 16, we saw the final stages of God’s plan to reclaim Eden being played out. The Day of the LORD, the great day of His wrath had arrived. In today’s lesson we begin our study of Revelation 17-18. In these two chapters the focus is on the fate of that entity referred to in Scripture as Babylon. Babylon represents the opposition system to God driven, engineered by Satan, and led by the Beast, the Antichrist. From the tower of Babel to the Babylonian empire to the Roman empire (under which John is living), Babylon opposes God and persecutes His people. In today’s lesson we will focus on verses 1-7 the vision of the great harlot and what it represents. Then next time we will focus on verses 8-18 and we will see how the Scarlet Beast and the Lamb of God play into the doom of Babylon. Let’s get started.

Today we are in Lesson-34 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. This lesson is titled “The Endgame: Bowls of Wrath – Part II” and our focus passage is Revelation 16. In our previous episode, we began our study of Revelation 15-16. In these two chapters, the Apostle John witnesses the pouring out of the 7 Bowls of God’s Wrath on an unbelieving world. Last time we focused on Revelation 15 and our first division, “Prologue of Wrath: Judgment Prepared”. We saw that the table for the endgame is now set. After studying that chapter, we now understand the preparation, the setup for the outpouring of God’s judgment. We also spend a lot of time in that previous episode establishing the context for Rev. 15-16. We are not going to cover that ground here today, but if you want to review that context, please go back, and watch that episode. In today’s lesson we will focus on our second and third divisions, Wrath Dispensed: Judgment Poured Out (Rev. 16:1-16) and Epilogue of Wrath: Judgment Consummated (Rev. 16:17-21). Today we are in Lesson-33 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. This lesson is titled “The Endgame: Bowls of Wrath – Part I” and our focus passage is Revelation 15. In our previous episode, we concluded our study of Revelation 14, “Where Do You Stand?” The key question is this: Where do I stand with Christ? Am I actually behaving like an authentic believer? How am I Walking? How am I Witnessing? How am I Waiting? In today’s lesson we begin our study of Revelation 15 and 16. We pick up the narrative on God’s final judgment on this earth from the end of chapter 11 and after the interlude of chapters 12-14. This is the day when God’s wrath will be poured out completely on this unbelieving world. The final stages of God’s plan to reclaim Eden are being played out. The imagery used here is one of 7 plagues poured out on mankind via 7 Bowls of God’s Wrath (cf. Rev. 15:7-8; 16:1). In today’s lesson we will focus on our first division: Prologue of Wrath: Judgment Prepared (Rev. 15:1-8). Let’s get started. Let’s get started.

Today we are in Lesson-32 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. As a reminder, our study of Rev. 14 it’s divided in three lessons. In Part I we discussed “A Great Commitment” from Revelation 14:1-5. Last time we looked at Part II, “A Great Proclamation”, from Revelation 14:6-13. Today’s lesson is titled “Where Do You Stand? – Part III” and our focus passage is Revelation 14:14-20. Please find your way in your Bible to that passage. It’s time for the great harvest at the end of the age. These verses have an impeding sense of finality, of consummation. The great wrath of God is ready to be poured out on the inhabitants of the earth. The judgment of the Day of the Lord is about to be finalized. Time is up. The hour has come. Let’s get started.

Today we are in Lesson-31 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. This lesson is titled “Where Do You Stand? – Part II” and our focus passage is Revelation 14:6-13. Please find your way in your Bible to that passage. As a reminder, our study of Rev. 14 it’s divided in three lessons. In our previous lesson we covered Part I and we discussed “A Great Commitment” from Revelation 14:1-5. Next time we will conclude with Part III, and we will look at “A Great Harvest” from Revelation 14:14-20. With the study of Revelation 14, we will complete the study of the section of Revelation that covers chapters 12-14. I have grouped the study of these three chapters in a section called “Great Signs in Heaven” for the many signs John saw in his vision. However, as I have studied these chapters, another theme has emerged: the theme of allegiance. Allegiance has been defined as “loyaltyorcommitment of a subordinate to a superior or of an individual to agrouporcause.” In the end times, everyone will have to make a statement of allegiance to someone: God or Satan. Where Do You Stand? In today’s lesson we are going to focus on Rev. 14:6-13. Angels are very busy in the book of Revelation. In this next section of Rev. 14 we are going to hear proclamations from three different angels. The Greek word used here in this passage is angelos which is used to describe “a supernatural being created by God to serve Him; often functions as a messenger.” God has a lot more to say to the inhabitants of the earth and He is going to use angels to convey His message. Let’s get started.

Today we are in Lesson-30 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. This lesson is titled “Where Do You Stand? – Part I” and our focus passage is Revelation 14:1-5. Please find your way in your Bible to that passage. We will have 2 additional lessons on this chapter. Part II will address Revelation 14:6-13 and Part III will cover Revelation 14:14-20. We all have to make choices in life. And as you know, each decision carries with it, consequences. No matter which way you go, there will be a fallout of your choice. There are decisions such as: where are you going to live?; what kind of home are you going to purchase?; should you take that position? Or, who are you going to marry?; how many kids do you want to have?; when are you going to retire? As you think of these and other possible decisions, let me ask you this: What do You think is the Most Important Decision You will ever Make in Your Life? In today’s lesson we begin our study of Revelation 14. With this chapter we will conclude the study of the section of Revelation that covers chapters 12-14. I have grouped the study of these three chapters in a section called “Great Signs in Heaven” for the many signs John saw in his vision. As I have studied these chapters, another theme has emerged: the theme of allegiance. This is Lesson-29 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The title for this lesson is: An Unholy Trinity - Part II. Our focus passage is Revelation 13:11-18. In our previous episode, we began our study of Revelation 13, and we covered the first division: The Beast from the Sea (v1-10). * We discussed the fact that: Satan is a liar and the father of lies (cf. John 8:44). He is the great deceiver of the whole world (cf. 2 Cor. 11:14-15; Rev. 12:9). * Not only that, since the beginning, Satan has been opposed to God and His purposes and plans. * His great desire has always been to replace the Most High God (cf. Isa. 14:13-14). * Given that he is a liar and a deceiver, Satan also excels in providing counterfeit options to what God offers. And in this chapter of Revelation, we see Satan’s ultimate counterfeit: an unholy trinity. Almighty God exists as one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That’s what theologians call the Holy Trinity. Satan of course cannot replicate that because he is a created being and not the ultimate Creator of heaven and earth. But that won’t stop him from trying to establish this unholy trinity. We met the second member of the counterfeit trinity last time: the beast from the sea (the Antichrist). In today’s lesson we will conclude our study of Rev. 13. We will turn our attention to the third member of the unholy trinity: the beast from the earth, the False Prophet. * The role of this character is to lead the people astray in following after the Antichrist. * He will establish a religious system that will worship Antichrist as a god which basically means, people will end up worshiping Satan. * Because remember, it is the Devil who gives Antichrist his power and authority. * Not only that, but the False Prophet will establish a system of forced compliance with the worship of the beast from the sea. * Those who refuse to go along, the true believers in Christ, will pay a great price. Let’s get started.

This is Lesson-28 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The title for this lesson is: An Unholy Trinity - Part I. Our focus passage is Revelation 13:1-10. In our previous episode, we concluded our teaching from Revelation 12, “Satan’s Folly, Failure, and Fury”. In that chapter we studied yet another perspective on what will occur during the last days, the days of the Great Tribulation. Satan was foiled in his attempt to destroy the Messiah, Jesus Christ, the One who will rule the nations with a rod of iron (cf. Psalms 2:8-9; Rev. 19:15). At the end of this age, Satan will also persecute the elect remnant of Israel, but they will be protected by God and Satan will then be enraged and will unleash his full fury on this earth. Yet, Satan will ultimately fail in all his efforts. He is no match for Almighty God. From our study of Revelation 12 it’s very clear that: God is in control. Of all things. At all times. His plan to redeem the world will be accomplished. In today’s lesson we begin our study of Rev. 13. As we begin today, let me remind you of something we should not ever forget: Satan is a liar and the father of lies. He is the great deceiver of the whole world. And in chapter 13 of Revelation, we will see Satan’s ultimate counterfeit: an unholy trinity. In this chapter we see these two characters that will join with Satan to form this counterfeit trio: the beast from the sea (the Antichrist) and the beast from the earth (his top lieutenant, the False Prophet). In today’s lesson we will focus on the beast from the sea (v1-10). Next time we will look at the beast from the earth (v11-18). Let’s get started.

This is Lesson-27 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The title for this lesson is: Satan’s Folly, Failure, and Fury - Part II. Our focus passage is Revelation 12:7-17. In our previous episode, studied Part I of our teaching from Revelation 12, “Satan’s Folly, and Fury”. In Rev. 12, John sees great signs: a woman, a red dragon, a male child, and war in heaven. In this chapter we are getting yet another perspective on what will occur during the days of the Great Tribulation. We also get to see behind the curtains of this realm and into the activities that occur in the unseen realm of the heavenly places. Last time we covered v1-6 as we studied Satan’s foiled attempt to destroy the Messiah, Jesus Christ, the One who will rule the nations with a rod of iron (cf. Psalms 2:8-9; Rev. 19:15). At the end of this age, Satan will also persecute the elect remnant of Israel, but they will be protected by God. God is in control. Of all things. At all times. His plan to redeem the world will be accomplished. In today’s lesson we will conclude our study of Rev. 12. We have seen how Satan was foiled in his attempt to destroy the Messiah and in his persecution of Israel. But he is not finished. He will attempt to take over heaven and when he fails, his full fury will be unleashed on this world. Let’s get started.

This is Lesson-26 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The title for this lesson is: Satan’s Folly, Failure, and Fury - Part I. Our focus passage is Revelation 12:1-6. In our study today we begin another interlude in the book of Revelation. We saw an interlude after the 7th seal was opened and now, we have another one after the 7th trumpet was sounded by the angel as we closed our study of Rev. 11. This interlude covers chapters 12-14 before we get to the third and final cycle of judgments (the 7 bowls) in Chapter 15. In this chapter we are getting yet another perspective on what will occur during the days of the Great Tribulation. It’s like in a movie where you see the same events from the perspective of a different character. We will also see behind the curtains of this realm and into the activities that occur in the unseen realm of the heavenly places. John is going to see great signs in heaven that will give him additional insights into what will happen during the days of the Great Tribulation and the end of this age. Today we will focus only on verses 1-6 and then in Part II of our teaching from Revelation 12 we will cover verses 7-17.

This is Lesson-25 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The title for this lesson is: The Kingdom is Here! - Part III. Our focus passage is Revelation 11:15-19. In our previous two episodes we studied the first fourteen verses in Rev. 11. It is in this chapter, that we are going to see the second seven judgment cycle come to an end with the sound of the seventh trumpet. This will usher the arrival of Christ’s kingdom and initiate the 3rd and last cycle of sevens that will finalize God’s judgment on this earth. In today’s lesson, we are going to complete our study of Revelation 11 by studying what it has to say to us about the arrival of Christ’s kingdom. You might remember that the beginning of Part I of our study of Rev. 11, we discussed the fact that as believers we live in this tension of “already but not yet” with respect to the Christ’s Kingdom. We are citizens of another kingdom living on foreign territory until the King returns to reclaim the entire world and to rule with a rod of iron. We are the ambassadors of His Kingdom. As we approach the Christmas season, we look forward to celebrating the Arrival of the King, His First Coming. He accomplished victory over sin and death and freed us from the penalty of sin. He completed our justification. Since the Ascension of the King to His exalted position at the right and of the Father, we live in such a way that we are working to advance His kingdom on earth. Through His Holy Spirit we are freed from the power of sin as He works in us to advance our sanctification. We live then in great expectation for the Return of the King as we await His Second Coming to earth to judge and to rule. We will experience our glorification, the ultimate freedom from the presence of sin. And that’s the subject of our lesson today. You see in heaven this is considered a matter of fact. It has been done. It is completed. John will share with us the heavenly scene he witnessed as the Kingdom of Christ arrives.

This is Lesson-24 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The title for this lesson is: The Kingdom is Here! - Part II. Our focus passage is Revelation 11:7-14. In our previous episode we began our study of Rev. 11. In this chapter we are going to see the second seven judgment cycle come to an end with the sound of the seventh trumpet. This will usher the arrival of Christ’s kingdom and initiate the 3rd and last cycle of sevens that will finalize God’s judgment on this earth. In our lesson we also discussed the reality that as believers we live in this tension of “already but not yet” when it comes to the kingdom of God or the kingdom of heaven. In part one of our teaching from Revelation 11 we met the two strong witnesses that will stand for the Lord in the end times. They will stand for the Lord. They will witness for Him and speak His truth. They will face fierce opposition. Yet, they will be under divine protection, and they will be divinely empowered throughout their ministry. They will finish the work God has for them. In today’s lesson we are going to look at Part II of our teaching from Rev. 11. Today we will meet the ultimate opposition figure in eschatology, the one person who will rise to oppose the two witnesses and God Himself.

This is Lesson-23 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The title for this lesson is: The Kingdom is Here! - Part I. Our focus passage is Revelation 11:1-6. How would you define “the kingdom of God” or the “kingdom of heaven”? It’s an extremely important question. You see, as believers we live in this tension of “already but not yet” when it comes to the kingdom of God or the kingdom of heaven. Our next lesson will help us to answer this question as we begin our study of Rev. 11. In this chapter we are going to see the second seven judgment cycle come to an end with the sound of the seventh trumpet. This will usher the arrival of Christ’s kingdom and initiate the 3rd and last cycle of sevens that will finalize God’s judgment on this earth. We will also be introduced to some very important characters in the end times drama. We will meet two strong witnesses for the Lord as well as the ultimate opposition figure in eschatology.

This is Lesson-22 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The title for this lesson is: A Respite of Grace - Part II. Our focus passage is Revelation 10:3-11. The aged Apostle gets a bit of a break in Chapter 10. He gets a respite of grace. It’s an interlude that extends to the first half of Rev. 11 when we finally get to the seventh angel sounding off his trumpet. It’s a short break, but it is a good one. In our previous episode, we covered the first two verses of Rev. 10. We spent our time focused on the identity of the Mighty Angel. Our conclusion was that this Mighty Angel is the Second Person of the Trinity, the Lord Jesus Christ, appearing to John in this form of a man. In this episode, we are concluding our study of Rev. 10 by focusing on the message of the mighty angel and the command that He issues to John.

This is Lesson-21 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The title for this lesson is: A Respite of Grace - Part I. Our focus passage is Revelation 10:1-2. In our previous episode, we concluded our teaching from Revelation 9, “Woe, Woe: The Hordes of Hell Unleashed on Earth”. Chapter 9 is focused on what will happen when the fifth and sixth angels sound their trumpets. The result is that the first two of the three woes mentioned in the eagle’s warning at the end of chapter 8 will come to pass (cf. Rev. 8:13). Chapters 8-9 were full of judgment and woe and John had to record everything. It must have been overwhelming. But as we will see, he gets a bit of a break in Chapter 10. He gets a respite of grace. It’s an interlude that extends to the first half of Rev. 11 when we finally get to the seventh angel sounding off his trumpet. It’s a short break, but it is a good one.

This is Lesson-20 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The title for this lesson is: Woe, Woe: The Hordes of Hell Unleashed - Part II. Our focus passage is Revelation 9:13-21. In our previous episode, we covered Part I of our teaching from Revelation 9, “Woe, Woe: The Hordes of Hell Unleashed on Earth”. We focused on the first twelve verses the chapter. In that passage we saw that when the fifth angel sounded his trumpet, an angel came down from heaven to open the shaft of the abyss. When the angel opened the shaft, a horde of demonic locusts was released with a mandate: to behave like scorpions and sting people. The pain is so great, that people would rather die but they won’t be able to kill themselves. The Bible says that “death will flee from them.” (cf. Rev. 9:6). The section closed with an ominous warning: This was just the first woe announced by the eagle in midheaven. Two more woes remain. Today we are going to study what happens when the sixth angel sounds his trumpet. We are going to look in detail at that 2nd of the three woes announced by the eagle. How much worse is it going to get for the inhabitants of the earth? What type of judgment will unrepentant sinners endure? Is there any hope for them?

This is Lesson-19 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The title for this lesson is: Woe, Woe: The Hordes of Hell Unleashed - Part I. Our focus passage is Revelation 9:1-12. As we closed our study last time, remember that after the first four trumpet judgments were unleashed, John saw an eagle flying in midheaven (cf. Rev. 8:13). This midheaven messenger gave everyone this dire warning: “Woe, woe, woe to those who live on the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound.” In this lesson, we are focused on what happens when the fifth and sixth angels sound their trumpets. The result is that the first two of the three woes mentioned in the eagle’s warning will come to pass. It’s going to get so much worse for the entire world before it gets any better. These will indeed be the earth’s worst days.

This is Lesson-18 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation. The lesson is titled “Let All the Earth Be Silent – Part II” and our focus passage is Revelation 8:7-13. He is Sovereign. He is about to act, and no one can question Him, and no one can stop Him. Silence is the only logical response in heaven and on earth. In today’s lesson we are going to focus on the second half of Rev. 8, verses 7-13. We will study what happens the first four angels sound their trumpets: Devastation on Earth.
