Revelation Lesson-39: The Return of the King - Part I

Today we are in Lesson-39 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation.
 
This lesson is titled “The Return of the King - Part I” and our focus passage is Revelation 19:1-10.
 
Please find your way in your Bible to that passage.

In our previous episode, we concluded our study of Revelation 18, “The Fall of Babylon”.

We should always remember that there will be a definite and complete end to all sin, wickedness, and opposition to Almighty God.
 
In today’s lesson we begin our study of Revelation 19. The primary focus of this chapter is on the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
 
This means, His physical, visible return to this earth to complete the work of restoration.
 
Jesus made a promise (cf. Matthew 24:29-31; John 14:1-3; I Thess 4:13-17), and this is the moment in which that promise is fulfilled.
 
From the moment Jesus ascended to heaven from the Mount  of Olives (cf. Acts 1:9-11), this is the moment that the church has been waiting for over 2,000 years.

Today we will focus on verses 1-10: The Worship of the King (v1-6) and The Wedding of the King (v7-10).
