Revelation Lesson-20: Woe, Woe: The Hordes of Hell Unleashed on Earth - Part II

This is Lesson-20 in the series “Come Lord Jesus!” from the book of Revelation.

The title for this lesson is: Woe, Woe: The Hordes of Hell Unleashed - Part II.

Our focus passage is Revelation 9:13-21.

In our previous episode, we covered Part I of our teaching from Revelation 9, “Woe, Woe: The Hordes of Hell Unleashed on Earth”.

We focused on the first twelve verses the chapter.

In that passage we saw that when the fifth angel sounded his trumpet, an angel came down from heaven to open the shaft of the abyss.

When the angel opened the shaft, a horde of demonic locusts was released with a mandate: to behave like scorpions and sting people.

The pain is so great, that people would rather die but they won’t be able to kill themselves. The Bible says that “death will flee from them.” (cf. Rev. 9:6).

The section closed with an ominous warning: This was just the first woe announced by the eagle in midheaven. Two more woes remain.

Today we are going to study what happens when the sixth angel sounds his trumpet. We are going to look in detail at that 2nd of the three woes announced by the eagle.

How much worse is it going to get for the inhabitants of the earth? What type of judgment will unrepentant sinners endure?

Is there any hope for them?
