A Piano Man is Convicted for Driving Piano Under the Influence
This wonderful example was sent to us by a correspondent in Scotland. According to sources, in September 2021 the police stopped James Tofalli, after noticing he was travelling well below the 70 mph limit, on the A92 in eastern Scotland. He was probably traveling at 67 mph less than the 70 mph limit because he was carrying a piano on a platform. Tofalli was a 30-year old man from Lancashire who had set out on a charity fundraiser in which he intended to tow a piano from John o' Groats all the way to Land's End. He planned to entertain...

He was probably traveling at 67 mph less than the 70 mph limit because he was carrying a piano on a platform. Tofalli was a 30-year old man from Lancashire who had set out on a charity fundraiser in which he intended to tow a piano from John o' Groats all the way to Land's End. He planned to entertain people along the route and collect donations. Tofalli, a 30-year-old man from Lancashire, had planned to tow the piano from John o' Groats all the way to Land's End. He would entertain people and collect donations along the way. Pause for a minute to remember John o' Groats. This town has 300 residents and is located at the extreme northeastern corner of Great Britain. It's a great starting point for anyone who wants to walk to Land's End, Cornwall. This could also be the destination of the journey. It is the longest one that you can make without leaving the Island. You could, in a way, make a longer journey by wandering around the island or your neighborhood for a couple of weeks. It is possible to travel for any distance. The phrase "Land's End To John o' Groats", which means "a long distance" (like in the U.S., "coast to coast") has been used to describe the journey between the two points. John o' Groats has been mentioned at least three different times. Once after a man admitted he drove there from Land's End with an average speed of 89 mph. (An admission that led to him being prosecuted for excessive speed). And twice because another guy insists he will make the same journey by foot, and also naked. It also sounds funny. Tofalli, who is also known as Piano Man, started his journey in this location, towing a towed piano while wearing clothes. The piano was initially bolted to a "contraption" made of a trolley that he could either push or pull down the road. According to the Lancashire Telegraph people on the road became worried about his safety. At some point, "a team mechanics gave his keyboard a motorised update by using a Quad bike so that he could walk beside it without having to drag it." The Telegraph insists Tofalli "never sat in the vehicle while riding it on the road." I find this hard to believe, but I have no proof to the contrary. He didn't appear to be sitting on the vehicle in September 2021 when police apprehended him south of Arbroath. The report states that the officers discovered Tofalli only had a provisional license and his piano lacked the "L-plates", which are required for "learners". A cannabis test was positive, as well as a lack of insurance. Tofalli, according to the Telegraph, was charged with "driving a piano while under the influence, driving without insurance and without L-plates." You should be able to tell by now that this kind of questioning is appropriate for someone driving an unusual vehicle. It's amazing that it's been 3 years since a new entry was made in this category. This includes, among other things, scooters and golf carts. There have been no motorized pianos or musical instruments powered by motors until now. Is it illegal for a driver without insurance with a provisional licence to drive a grand piano while under the influence cannabis in Great Britain? I would of course defer to the people who are actually licensed to practice law in Great Britain, but my gut feeling is that it's illegal. In most DSUWIs, the main question is whether or not the vehicle in question is a motor vehicle as defined by the jurisdiction. This is also the case here. Sometimes a law will simply say "vehicle" which is helpful to those riding on horseback, in an inner tube or canoe. This is not the case. This is not the case here.) This law made it illegal to dri...

Bower: "Everyone is delighted" that Meghan won't be attending the coronation

Tom Bower, a royal commentary and rotten-egg fart. Bower has been sworn up and down every day for the past week that the Princess Of Wales is to be credited for "preventing" Duchess Sussex from attending her coronation. Bower claims that Kate demanded it (to the King?) If Meghan was to come for the Chubbly she would, I am sure, be put in the back and forced to wear a sackcloth. Bower was not satisfied with the mere visual of KKKate telling her Black sister in law to "sit at the back". Meghan Markle's absence from King Charles III’s coronation is fine with the royal family. In an exclusive interview with Page Six, former BBC journalist Tom Bower says: "I think everybody's delighted that she's not going to come." The author of "Revenge: Meghan Harry and the War Between the Windsors", jokes, "They made sure she didn't come by telling her she would have to bow three times, she wouldn’t be in the limelight, she wouldn’t play any role in the entire thing, and if she did, she would be placed in row 54 behind the column if she showed up." From Page Six Yes, I think the Windsors will be happy that Meghan stays in Montecito. The media wanted to focus on Meghan and Harry for every coronation (which, to be fair, they already do). Windsors are jealous, petty, and can't tolerate the Sussexes charisma. The negotiations never got to the point where Bower or the Windsors said "if Meghan came, she'll sit in the rear!" You need to be reminded of the racism in royal society? Here you go: Sources claim Prince William has 'tolerated' Harry, but rejected the demands made before his return to Britain for the Coronation. William was the subject of Harry's accusations in his book Spare as well as Netflix docuseries. Organisers are therefore reportedly trying their best to keep them as far apart as possible. Experts say that "warm interactions" are not expected between the two brothers and William has refused his brother's request for a meeting prior to the Coronation. We know palace staff plans every entry, exit and seat keeping the fighting brothers in mind. Kinsey Schoffie, host of Fox News' "To Di For Daily", said that the palace's primary goal is to avoid conflict. "William was, without doubt, the most hurtful by Harry's action. Since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, they haven't spoken. Not since the Netflix book or series. Harry told media outlets he wouldn't attend the coronation until his family was apologized to... My sources say this hasn't happened privately." There's a suggestion that William and his wife Kate Middleton have a "deep" love for Harry but not towards Meghan Markle, Harry's wife. From The Mirror Meghan has not done anything to these people, even if you believe in the Windsors' chaotic version. Meghan was just Harry's spouse, a woman who achieved success, gave birth to beautiful children and did good deeds. The Windsors are fuming with anger and indignation and making Meghan the scapegoat at every opportunity. Can I also address the British media obsession with the storyline "Harry did not get the apology from his family he demanded, hahaha?"? The Windsors shouldn't be proud that they haven't apologized to Meghan or Harry. It also doesn't say much about them that Harry will stand up for his father no matter how the family treats Meghan. Halyna Hustchins, Joel Souza and Alec Baldwin were both shot on October 21, 2021 with a weapon that Alec Baldwin was holding while they were filming Rust in New Mexico. Hutchins was killed by the gunshot. Souza survived. Baldwin has insisted that the gun wasn't loaded and that it was "cold"; he also claims that he didn't believe he pulled trigger. Baldwin, and others on Rust, were always criminally negligent in my eyes. However I did not believe that Baldwin intended to hurt anyone. This was an accident caused by negligence, incompetence, and misinformation. Baldwin was charged with involuntary murder by a New Mexico prosecutor in January, almost three months earlier. These charges have now been dropped. New Mexico prosecutors have dropped the involuntary murder charges against Alec Baldwin that were brought for the shooting death of a cinematographer on the set "Rust", who died when the gun he used to practice with went off. An official who spoke anonymously about the case said that a new team took over the case after which they reviewed new evidence. This showed that the gun that Mr. Baldwin had been practicing with was modified before being delivered to the set. The official explained that this evidence undermined the prosecution's initial argument that the gun couldn't have fired without Mr. Baldwin pulling the trigger. Mr. Baldwin has always maintained that he didn't pull the trigger, even though he was told that day on the set the gun had no live ammunition. He also claimed to investigators that the gun went off when he pulled back the hammer and let it go. The original prosecutors said the F.B.I. The analysis of the weapon showed that the shooter must have pulled it, and this was a factor in their decision to file charges. Luke Nikas, one of Mr. Baldwin's attorneys, and Alex Spiro issued a joint statement saying, "We welcome the decision to dismiss this case and encourage an investigation into the circumstances and facts surrounding this tragic accident." Hannah Gutierrez Reed, the film armorer who was in charge of weapons and loaded the gun on the day of shooting, was charged in this case with involuntary murder. Jason Bowles said that she had informed him of the decision of the prosecutors to dismiss the case. However, the charges against Gutierrez Reed remained. The New York Times The charges against Gutierrez Reed remained ..." good. Gutierrez Reed was the person most responsible for the Rust set according to almost all accounts and investigations. She was the armorer and was responsible for all the weapons. She also had to make sure that no one gave Alec Baldwin a gun with a hair-trigger loaded. I have said it before, but I don't think Baldwin is not criminally or legally liable. He was the producer of Rust and was in charge of production. In a broader sense, he had managerial responsibility. Manslaughter, however, was never a realistic option. We won't be getting a Hilaria-Baldwin courtroom telenovela then, are we? We'll have to remember fondly her impromptu press conference in Mexican accent on the street after her husband had been charged. Telegraph: Meghan is plotting to 'vanish' this year!
Last year, the Duchess released Archetypes her popular podcast to much acclaim. She did several magazine interviews to promote the podcast, but it wasn't necessary because Archetypes received millions in free media exposure. It's still a hugely popular podcast and has already won awards. Meghan was then seen at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, and then she went low-key as Harry promoted his memoir. She has only been seen a handful of times this year and won't be attending the fakakta shambles. The Telegraph couldn't stand the fact that Meghan could be private and quiet when she wanted to. This ruins their ridiculous talking points that she is a "famewhore", who "needs to be seen" constantly. Here are some highlights of this psychotic tale: Meghan Markle has not been seen in public this year. (Lie) But since the beginning of this year, nothing. Meghan Markle, who is based in Montecito and has not attended any official events this year (although she released official photos in March from a Los Angeles organization that helps homeless pregnant women), confirmed on Wednesday that she would also be absent at the King's Coronation in November. It was a well-kept secret among her Californian friends that Meghan Markle never intended to be at Westminster Abbey for the coronation of her father-in law. However, her absence from US society over the past few months is still a surprise. Meghan's plans: "The answer can be summarized in three words, planning, parenting, and regrouping." Friends have stated that the Duchess' decision to not attend the Coronation was partly due to her parenting duties, since it coincided with Prince Archie’s 4th birthday. Sources close to the Duchess now claim that the date clash was the "main reason" she did not attend the Coronation. Her British chapter has ended: Those who know her well have no doubts that returning to the UK during major events for the Duchess would be a step backward. After the trauma of Megxit her British chapter is over and she has only the US ahead of her. This argument is absurd. Friends also point out that the portrayal of the Duchess, as a publicity-obsessed person who uses the Royal Family to boost her profile, has been proven demonstrably incorrect by her decision not to attend one of the biggest global television events in the past year. The Duke and Duchess would be hard-pressed to deny that they enjoyed keeping the British media guessing about their Coronation plans, despite the fact that the decision had been made in January. Meghan isn't a writer: The Telegraph was informed that the talk of Meghan writing a multi-volume book for Prince Harry as part of his deal with Penguin Random House (much to the relief of Royal Household) is inaccurate. Instead, the Duchess is plotting her future in television, podcasting, and blogging. Meghan is still expected to restart The Tig. After leaving the royal life, Meghan's blogging ambitions have been unconstrained. A patent application for the revival of the website has already received preliminary approval from US authorities. She will therefore be able to restart the blog in June. The Duchess's plan will include articles, photographs, and interviews "in the areas of food, cooking and recipes, travel and fashion, style and lifestyle, arts, culture and design, conscious living and health and wellbeing". The site would also include "commentary in the area of personal relationships", which suggests Meghan may see herself as a kind of agony aunt for the rich and famous. Meghan has been exposed by Prince Harry for his decision to not repeat his wife's claims of royal racism, which were made during the couple's Oprah Winfrey 2021 interview. The Telegraph These idiots have been letting a bad girl go for over three years, and they still don't get it. Meghan was able to walk away free fro...

Ninth Circuit says that expressive honking is not protected by the First Amendment
Cal. Veh. Code SS 27001. To my horror, the Ninth Circuit panel has just voted to reject an First Amendment challenge against this draconian law. California law provides that: Each motor vehicle must be equipped with a working bell, gong or horn or whistle, or any other device that can emit a loud, abrupt sound to warn pedestrians, animal riders, drivers, and persons boarding or exiting street, interurban or railroad cars. It is illegal to use a bell, gong or horn for any other purpose than warning others of danger. Sorry, this was the 1913 original. This was five years...
Cal. This was five years after Ford introduced the Model T. The Model T was a revolutionary vehicle, affordable, easy to use, and durable. It has left an everlasting legacy. Ford Motor Company is my client and I am not aware of any Model T-related litigation. It had many features that were new for its time. (Same) And as you can see it came with an horn. I assume that California was overrun from 1908 to 1913 by inferior vehicles without such a device. I believe or would like to believe that some vehicles after 1913 were equipped with large gongs capable of producing a loud, jarring sound to warn of the approaching vehicle. The statute says that: The driver must use his horn to give an audible alert when it is reasonable for the vehicle's safe operation. (b) Except as an alarm system for theft, the horn may not be used in any other way. Cal. Civ. Code SS3537 ("Superfluity doesn't vitiate "))," but it does not mention gongs or bells anymore, only boring old horns. It is important to note that it says the horn may only be used when "reasonably necessary" to ensure safe operation. What if I wanted to use it for communication? Susan Porter, a member of a protest outside a government building in 2017, allegedly violated this law by using her horn. According to the opinion, Susan Porter "honked her horn three times in a row, for a total 14 beeps" as she drove away from a protest (of which she was formerly a part). Unsurprisingly, the local deputy sheriff heard one or more beeps and acted immediately. He cited Porter bravely for misusing a vehicle's horn, as per section 27001. He did not appear at her hearing and the citation was thrown out. Porter, perhaps suspecting that deputy's actions were more than a neutral effort to protect the local community from malicious and willful tooting, sued, arguing that the law was unconstitutional. Porter's standing to file this suit was the first question. In federal court, "standing" is required to show a concrete injury. Porter stated that she no longer uses her horn to express herself out of fear of a citation. This "self-censorship," as long as it is "well founded", is sufficient. The State argued Porter did not meet her burden of proof because she "had not shown a plan for expressive honking in the future" and that almost no one is cited for violating Section 27001. It would be interesting to see a concrete plan for "expressive honking." But the court found that Porter still had standing without it. Let's move on to the First Amendment. I was glad to see that there was no disagreement about the fact that honking at least in some cases is "expressive behavior" to which First Amendment can apply. You already know this. Washington Horn-Honker wins First Amendment Challenge (Oct. 27 2011). It may be that it depends on the situation, but Porter's honks were clear. The Ninth Circuit, again disappointing me, wrote that "even though we do not define the full scope today of expressive honking," it held that "enough honks" will be understood within context to treat Section 27,001 as prohibiting certain expressive conduct. Porter argued that the law was unconstitutional, because it is a "content based regulation" which must be scrutinized closely. It's only valid if the law is "least restrictive"...

The judge dismissed most of the case but also granted Samantha and her attorneys a 14-day period to refile the case without the misinformation and lies. Samantha announced quickly that she would be doing so. Samantha quickly announced that she would do so. Samantha Markle claimed that her half-sister the Duchess Sussex used her six-episode Netflix series as a weapon in order to spread "malicious and hurtful lies" about her. The new allegations were part of an updated version of Markle’s defamation suit against Meghan. It was filed just hours before a two week deadline set by a judge for her, after Meghan’s motion to dismiss their original claim. Markle's lawyer said in a statement that they would be back with an "even better" case. The amended complaint focuses on Harry Meghan, rather than Meghan's interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. Samantha Markle said that Meghan used statements to "demonize her" by portraying her as a "liar," a "fame seeker," and a "racist." She claimed that Meghan's supporters launched "hateful smear campaign" against her because of the show. She said she was the victim of "death threat" and "trolls," who hacked into her Twitter account. She filed her first case in March 2022. Meghan was sued for "defamation" and "injurious falsehoods." The Daily Beast You can read the original filing here. I don't care. I also include some tweets by Buzzfeed's Ellie Hall who has extensively covered Samantha. Legally, I believe Samantha's re-filed lawsuit has at least more weight, simply because Meghan and Harry are executive producers of the Netflix show. You know that Netflix's attorneys went through all of it, and nothing was allowed to air before being checked by legal. Samantha is also embarrassed. Samantha's own daughter, whom Samantha didn't raise, called Samantha a nutcase for being obsessed with Meghan. He was an outspoken hater and snob. He believed Americans were unfashionable and gauche. Personally, I think he did mellow in his last years. Being a father to Choupette, his beloved cat, definitely helped his image. Vogue commissioned several designers to "interpret Lagerfeld's fashion archives with new looks." I must say that most of the new designs ATE. These designers are so great that people are wondering why Chanel didn't hire them. Vogue did a cover featuring "ten models Lagerfeld loved most", including Anok Yai and Shalom Harlow as well as Kendall Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Liu Wen. Karl loved Kendall? Really? Although she walked on some Chanel runways, I doubt that she was his favorite. The magazine brought Choupette to the editorial, which is amazing! Naomi Campbell was able to take a photo with Karl's cat, which I believe is now with Lagerfeld's senior staff. Wintour's letter can be read here. It was touching to hear her words about Lagerfeld. I also appreciate the fact that she did not want to pay a solemn or sad tribute. She wanted to celebrate his fashion legacy and be happy. Vogue also posted a lot on Instagram. They put a lot into it and it's really cool. The coronation plans were dominated by King Charles's desire to have a huge clowning party, and whether or not the Sussexes would be there. Recent news has revealed a new storyline: The coronation will include the queen consort's title, her children and grandchildren from her first marriage and the significance of her title. Camilla is the mother of Laura Parker Bowles and Tom Parker Bowles. She also has two teenage grandsons. Camilla hopes her granddaughters will act like members of the aristocracy during the coronation ceremony and wear a special Chubbly canopy. Camilla wants her grandchildren and children to have important roles in the coronation ceremony. Charles and Camilla both make a big deal about how the Sussexes are going to be punished or excluded. The royal rota is now in place and they are focusing on the task at hand, which is to highlight the family of the homewrecker queen to the exclusion all others. The Telegraph's Camilla Tominey latest piece: Queen Side Chick. At times, Prince of Wales, Duke of Sussex, and their mother Diana, Princess Of Wales, have appeared like they are trying to adapt to their father's arrival with his second wife. Harry's autobiography Spare was harshly critical of the Queen consort. However, it did not change perceptions of tensions in the monarchy over Diana, who she famously called the "third person" during her marriage to Charles. Camilla gets equal billing The 75-year old divorcee will be given equal billing at the largest royal event in 70-years as she prepares for May 6th, when she will be crowned alongside King George VI. A new era in equality: The news that Camilla, the grandmother of five, will be attending the Westminster Abbey ceremony is a sign of a new era in equality. The King demanded that Camilla be treated on an equal footing with his. This is not only Charles III's devotion to Camilla, whom he calls the "love-of my life", but it also reflects a sense that the Royal family's "realness” back to the public. The Sussexes made the Windsors look'real'. Despite the fact that the popularity of the Duke and Duchess has declined in the UK since their first time washing family linen at Oprah Winfrey’s primetime laundry, people seem to be more comfortable with the Royals after "Megxit". Yes, William and Kate's reputations suffered a lot from tales of hormonal disputes and fights over dog bowls. Harry's memoirs have had an unintended effect: they made his closest and most dearest, as the Queen once said, "like all the great families" with their "share of eccentricities and impetuous and wayward children and of disagreements." Roles for Camilla’s grandchildren and Prince George: Prince George, nine years old, is being considered for a significant role as not only the King's oldest grandchild, but also second in line for the throne. According to one source, it sends a strong signal and is quite bold. This is yet another example of King and Queen Consort not being afraid to change things to reflect modern life. A blended family is an integral part of modern life. But what does this mean for the frosty royal relations between Harry and Meghan? The couple are expected to be invited to the bank holiday weekend celebrations. However, there is no word on whether they will attend. This move to include some grandchildren, but not others, is likely to cause a stir in Montecito. Harry felt already forced out by his late Queen and his father, who seemed to prefer public appearances with William or George over his immediate family. It is unknown what he will make of the Parker Bowles family being front and center. However, he is reported to be good friends with his step-siblings Tom (and Laura) who were both invited at the 2018 royal wedding. [From The Telegraph] Are you kidding...

The Guardian looks into the secrecy surrounding the monarchy's "private" finances
A British outlet, usually the Guardian, will occasionally attempt to report on the British monarchy's secretive finances. The details of the Sovereign Grant are published every year. A British outlet, usually the Guardian, will occasionally attempt to report on the British monarchy's secretive finances. The details of the Sovereign Grant are published every year. However, the SG is not the only source of income for the Windsors. The Duchy of Cornwall is available to the monarch, while the Prince of Wales has access to its vast resources. Both duchies have billion-dollar real estate and investment portfolios. My personal belief is that Charles spent considerable time William-proofing Cornwall so that William wouldn't take the whole duchy and spend it like a drunken seaman. The Guardian has a new series on the secret money situation of the royal family. You can find one of the pieces here. Here are some highlights: The money from the duchies: King Charles II and Queen Elizabeth II received payments of more than PS1bn each from two land- and property estates. This is the center of a centuries-old debate about whether the profits be given to the general public or to them. The duchies in Lancaster and Cornwall. The duchies are professional-run real estate empires that manage large swathes land, hotels, medieval castles and offices. They also own some of London's most luxurious real estate. They have large investment portfolios and pay no capital gains or corporation tax. The duchy accounts are held in state and parliamentary archives. They show how the queen and her son, the Duke of Cornwall, have benefited greatly from the huge rise in revenues from the duchies over her seven-decade reign. Their duchy income was PS41.8m last year. After adjusting for inflation, they have earned more than PS1.2bn from the estates. Profits: The Duchy of Lancaster's 18,481 hectares of land in rural areas, located primarily in the north of England, and the Midlands, automatically passes to the person sitting on the throne. The estate is worth PS652m. The Duchy of Cornwall covers 52,450 hectares. It is located mainly in the south-west of England. It is worth more that PS1bn. It has not kept up with the 2013 legislation that brought gender equality to royal succession. Its proceeds go only automatically to the male heirs to the throne. The claim of the Windsors to the duchies is based on archaic charters that date back to medieval times when the country was divided. Generations of MPs have questioned the arrangement since the birth of parliamentary democracy and demanded that duchy profits be paid to Treasury instead. Parliamentary debate often occurs with the accession to a new monarch. This has brought renewed scrutiny over their private and public wealth sources. The Windsors won't spend their own money. The royals claim their duchy income, which they call "private", is not available to the government. The sovereign grant is the annual payment that the royal family receives from government to pay its official expenses. This too has increased dramatically in recent years and costs taxpayers PS86m per year. Buckingham Palace declined comment to the Guardian's estimates for income from the duchies. It described them as "speculative". The Windsors claim that they spend their duchy money. The palace has stated for years that the majority of income from both duchies goes to the family's official duties and public works. The royals have not provided any detailed information about how the money is spent from their estates, calling them "private financial arrangements". Charles reported that between 49% and 51% of his duchy income was used to fund charitable and public functions in recent years. What the duchy money was actually spent on: Charles, Prince of Wales, spent a significant amount of his duchy income privately on secretaries and valets as well as gardeners, chefs, stable workers, and chefs. According to some reports,...

This is quite impressive for a movie that's based on a video game. Is it the video game movies that do not usually do well? Rege-Jean Page was the most beautiful man in the film. He was forced to wear armor and claimed that he had the most uncomfortable costume of all the actors. Rege-Jean Page didn't roll a nat 20, when it came time to his Dungeons Dragons, Honor Among Thieves outfit. He claims that he wore the most uncomfortable outfit of any of his castmates -- which included Hugh Grant, Justice Smith, Chris Pine, Sophia Lillis and Justice Smith -- among all the actors who played perfect paladin Xenk. Page laughed during a BBC Radio 1 interview about the new movie adaptation of the tabletop game. Page was referring to the fact that Robert Downey Jr. once stated that he had avoided wearing the Iron Man suit in later Marvel films. "Like, filming with armor is not where I want to be." He said, "You're always hot." You can't sit down. You can't sit down. You can make it a scubasuit by adding your own juices. It was delicious. Rodriguez was interviewing him and then expressed her disapproval for the suit. Ali Plumb, a Radio 1 interviewer, pointed out that Page's armor was at best crafted with 10-pack abs. Page responded that this was part of the deal. He teased, "That's in the contract." "It didn't before. It is now. Page doesn't want to forget the six-pack. In fact Page would like to see a 12-pack in a future movie. Page said, "We have technology." Page had previously spoken out about his DD attire during a Variety interview last month at the 2023 Oscars. "Everything is kind of digging into your chest. He explained that you're trying to do complicated fight sequences, and nothing works exactly the way it should." "Chain mail and plate armor?" This is not for comfort. Although his shiny suit was a little bulky, Page found some comfort in the fact that his fantasy epic resulted to him having insanely sculpted glutes. During the recent Comic Con panel, he stated that "Coming into it, I got really really good with swords." It was a lot of stunts training. My thighs were killing my and I had the most amazing time of my life. This job was the most enjoyable. I spent time training and killing dragons. [From Entertainment Weekly] Rege-Jean looked great in this costume. He always looks great! He knows what corsets and other costumes look like on women. But actors often complain about how uncomfortable armor costumes can be. It's surprising that they haven’t found a way to accommodate men. Maybe they are unable to make it look real without making it uncomfortable. The costume's sweatiness sounds disgusting. It was disgusting to hear him describe his experience of just sitting in his sweat. The second half of that quote is too much for me to even type. It's possible they made a lot of these costumes, as it didn't smell very good. Although the abs were visible on the outer armor, sweating so much inside the costume probably contributed to some real-life abs. This movie is on my to-see list, though I haven’t yet seen it. It looks funny and the cast is great (and random). Biden made the decision in a personal phone call to King Charles. The White House announced that Dr. Jill Biden, First Lady, would attend the Chubbly in President Biden's place. The United States will be represented by Jill Biden, first lady, at the coronation next month of King Charles III, President Joe Biden informed the royal during a Tuesday phone call. Biden stated that he was looking forward to meeting the U.K. king "at a later date", the White House said. His wife also said that she "looks forward" to attending the event on behalf of the United States. According to the White House, the two discussed "strengthening the relationship between our nations and friendship between our peoples". The first lady and the president attended last year's London funeral for Elizabeth II. The British royal coronation has never been attended by any sitting president of the United States. [From The AP] Dr. Biden seems too important to be attending this stupid Struggle Chubbly. If the White House insists that President Biden declines the invitation, then surely the WH should send Pete Buttigieg instead. It's not FLOTUS and VPOTUS. Not after the palace allowed the British media to attack President Biden over the past four days. While Dr. Biden is still in the news, she has never received such negative press as this week. She spoke out about how much she enjoyed the NCAA women’s basketball final and asked for the opportunity to invite both the LSU Tigers winning team and the Iowa Hawkeyes losing team. It was a poor look, it was insensitive, and it seemed like Dr. Biden was trying to give white women a participation trophy. On Tuesday, Dr. Biden's staff began to retract her comments. They made it clear that only LSU Tigers were invited to the White House. Jill Biden, the first lady, appeared to back off suggestions that the White House might invite LSU and Iowa's women’s basketball teams. Angel Reese, Tigers star, called it "a joke" Monday. Biden spoke Monday and congratulated both the teams for Sunday's performance. He also highlighted Iowa's sportsmanship. Biden spoke at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver, saying, "Last evening, I attended NCAA women's basketball championship." "So, I know that we'll have champions arrive at the White House. We always do. We hope LSU will be there, but Joe Biden should know that I think Iowa should also come because they played such an excellent game. The White House invites national champions as a tradition, but not the runners-up. Reese tweeted a link to the story which included Biden's comments, calling it "A JOKE" along with three rolling-on-floor-laughing emojis. Reese, recently crowned NCAA champion, commented on an Instagram post by 'The Shade Room' that included Reese’s tweet. period." Vanessa Valdivia, the press secretary of the first lady, sought clarification on Tuesday's comments by Biden. She stated in a tweet that the tweets were meant to "applaud the historic game" and all female athletes. She is looking forward to celebrating LSU Tigers' win at the White House. Prior to Valdivia's clarifications, ESPN host Stephen A. Smith had echo Reese’s sentiments, responding to Reese tweet by saying: "I mean absolutely no disrespect to the First lady, but you're 1000% right. [From CNN] We can do two things simultaneously: Call out Jill Biden, for suggesting that while it would suffice to recognize the Tigers' predominantly-Black team, that the Hawkeyes must also include the Hawkeyes' white women; but also acknowledge that Jill Biden's remarks were made in the moment and likely stemmed from her desire to praise all the young women who are amazing. Depending on how funny or embarrassing it is, I may even try that. We'll see. Law360 (sub. Law360 (sub. Although the hearing was originally scheduled for yesterday (4 April), ODP Corporation (Office Depot), requested that the hearing be postponed, claiming it had inadvertently failed inform interested parties about the time and location. The court grumbled that it was disappointing, but ultimately decided to reschedule. What if someone heard of the hearing and decided they wanted to attend, even though they were not aware of the postponement? The court acknowledged that there was a "risk" but they should not be prejudiced. It ordered the company to cover the travel expenses of any person who showed up and required two of its lawyers present at the courthouse to display signs to alert anyone in such a situation. One lawyer stood in the lobby at the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center in Wilmington with a sign that said: "Settlement Hearing for ODP Corporation: Please see Me." The second would be outside the elevators at the 12th floor where the relevant courtroom is located, holding a similar sign. The court letter stated that each lawyer would ask the person they see if they intend to attend the settlement hearing. "If they answer yes, the lawyer will inform the individual that the hearing was postponed and give the new information. "The lawyer will ask the person if they are stockholders and, if yes, take down their contact information so that expenses can be reimbursed." Although the court knew that there was a good chance that the lawyers would not comply with these requirements, it ordered them to report any findings. According to the report, two lawyers confirmed to the court that they would be present on Tuesday between 10 and 11:30. They were certainly there. However, I have not found any reports with pictures or confirmation that it happened. I also don't know if anyone was helped by the lawyer-borne signs. Although I would be willing to wager that photos exist, I was not surprised to see that the firm's news page doesn't mention this event. I also looked up the names of the two lawyers who were going to perform the sign duty. One of them was a partner. Credit is due to this person for not having an associate perform this duty. I am putting this in the "Creative Sentencing" category (among others) because it reminds me of other sign-holding/public-shaming requirements, but hasten to add that no crime or other charge was involved here, and we don't even know if the lawyers themselves were at all responsible for the late notice. This is difficult to overlook, even if it had a slightly punitive element. For example, it's not like you have to send personalized apologies and a photo of yourself in handcuffs to each judge. For one, it would take much longer than 90 minutes.

People Magazine has an interesting update on Frogmore Cottage's eviction. While I'm sure some will shout "it wasn't from the Sussexes", I like to give props to media outlets that actually do try to be fair to Prince Harry or Meghan. Although I don't agree 100% with People's coverage of the royals, it is true that they do try to be fair to Prince Harry and Meghan. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not retaliating against King Charles' decision to expel them from Frogmore Cottage in the U.K. According to a source, the Duke and Duchess are "factual" about their request to leave Frogmore Cottage. They aren't trying overturn this decision. According to the source, Harry, 41, and Meghan, 38, are happy to have their children in California. They moved there in 2020, after having stepped back as senior members in the royal family. People close to the couple feel the decision is regrettable. Frogmore Cottage in Windsor was home to the couple and their children, Archie Harrison, 3 years old, and Lilibet Diana, 1 year old, respectively, during their visit to the U.K. A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan said last week that they could confirm that the Duke and Duchess have been asked to leave Frogmore Cottage. PEOPLE has learned that Prince Harry and Meghan knew of the move prior to the publication of Spare in January. The couple is yet to receive a refund of $2.9 million that they spent on renovations and rental costs over many years. Their lease has not expired. Robert Lacey, a royal historian, tells PEOPLE King Charles is doing things that Queen Elizabeth didn't. "Charles is now the guardian for the institution. He says that the King can't just sit back. It shows Charles that he has the steel his mother lacked. The Queen couldn't bring herself to confront Harry when he was an adult." [From People] Is the correct verb "confront" in this instance? The royal establishment, which includes Lacey for better or worse, has been the subject of much discussion. It was suggested that King Charles' eviction was a demonstration of "strength", which is the strength a petty, vindictive dogsht father rather than a man who wants to spend time with his children, daughter-in law, and grandchildren. Charles's "eviction of his son, who paid everything, including an advance rental", has become a hero's story for him speaks volumes about the royal system. It's not news to anyone that the Sussexes were informed about the eviction shortly after Spare was published. Sources claim that Harry was informed by the palace about the eviction last week, on January 11, the day after Spare's publication. The Royal Estates should give Harry $3 million. Saturday Night Live (@nbcsnl), shared this post Quinta Brunson hosted Saturday Night Live last weekend. They gave her great material, which made it a great show. She was fantastic. Quinta wasn't in the Trump indictment-based open, but she did have a solid opening monologue. Although it felt too short, that was due to the tight set and how well her jokes were received. These things can drag on when the host is flailing. Quinta's biggest joke was the one about Friends, but the rest was equally funny. She spoke about how she wanted to host SNL, but she decided to create a TV program instead. It was popular and won Emmys. Then she was invited to host the show because it seemed easier. She also effortlessly humble-bragged Obama a bit. Quinta stated that people expected her to play the role of Abbott Elementary's character outside of the show. Quinta made a few jokes about how it had hampered her social lives and ended by pleading to teachers to be honored and paid what they are worth. It's Quinta Brunson, live from Studio 8H! The Abbott Elementary star, now 33, hosted Saturday Night Live, with Lil Yachty as her musical guest. Brunson spoke about Abbott Elementary's success, comparing it to Friends in her opening monologue. It's not about a bunch of friends. It's about a bunch of teachers. It's not in New York. Brunson joked that it doesn't have Black people. Brunson explained that viewers expect her to solve problems in the public schools system in real-life, just like Janine Teagues, her character. She shared that she is the "opposite" to her character and that the success of the show has brought her in contact with some very prominent names. Brunson showed a video that she and Barack Obama had sent to Brunson's mother, thanking her for being such a good teacher. Brunson concluded that teachers are "taken for granted." She said, "Please remember how valuable teachers are, acknowledge their work every day, and for the love God, give them the money that they deserve." [From People] It was tight, and Quinta's closing on teachers was the perfect cap. This country is currently experiencing a teacher's crisis. It's happening all over the country, but it's so severe here in Los Angeles right now that I am a little blind. LAUSD went on strike just a few days ago. This is the second-largest school district in the nation, so you can see how many were affected. Teachers were just as affected by the pandemic as were children. Teachers had to learn from their parents, which made it difficult for them to figure out how to educate their entire class. Many people had a reassessment of their lives after the country was reopened. I believe many teachers asked themselves if the stress they faced on a daily basis was worth the small wages they received. The only positive aspect of the school pandemic was that there were no school shootings. This is another nightmare teachers have to face with barely-there salaries. Ask any teacher why they don’t want more. They will tell you that they must decide whether to make enough money to pay rent or to provide textbooks and other supplies for their students. Every time the matter goes to a vote, it is rejected by the public. I hope Quinta can be more persuasive on this. Quinta did a few sketches, but not the monologue. Even the ones that were not great, she raised them. She and Mikey Day performed the Traffic Altercation, in which they masked their road rage to each other with help from Chloe Fineman (and Ego Nwodim). Although it sounds stupid on paper, Quinta and Mikey make it work. Peridot and I can't wait to see TajajiP. Henson play Janine's mom in Abbott. I would love to see all three Teagues women on one show. Can you picture Momma Teagues taking on Ava Coleman? This post is on Instagram Saturday Night Live (@nbcsnl), shared this post Pho...

The Heritage Foundation FOIA-requested Prince Harry’s visa application

The Mail took a new attack on Prince Harry a few weeks back: his status as an American citizen. Fair enough, the Mail and the British media have been obsessed with the notion that America can deport Harry because he isn't white, Christian or rich. Harry has access to the top immigration lawyers in California and is likely already several years into his American naturalization process. Mail claims that Harry used drugs in Spare and therefore should be deported. The Mail has also convinced the Heritage Foundation, an American ultra-right-wing thinktank, to support their delusions. To get Harry's visa application, the Heritage Foundation has filed a Freedom of Information Act Request. It's just not how it works. It's not possible to FOIA anyone and get a visa application from them. Prince Harry was urged to be transparent and provide details about his US visa application. Otherwise, he could become a political pawn over his drug abuse. The US immigration authorities have until April 12, to respond to a Freedom of Information request (FoI), filed by an American think-tank. This request seeks to find out how the Duke of Sussex was permitted to enter the USA after he openly admitted to using marijuana and magic mushrooms in the past. Republicans will attack President Joe Biden's lax border control policies. This is likely to be the biggest issue in the 2024 presidential election. There are also fears that Harry's friendships and connections with prominent Democratic Party figures like former president Barack Obama, major Democratic donors such as Oprah Winfrey or Tyler Perry could lead to him becoming an 'unwitting player in a highly politicized game'. In an exclusive interview on Sunday with The Mail, Samuel Dewey, a senior lawyer at conservative think-tank Heritage Foundation, stated that it was in the public's interest to find out how Prince Harry answered the drug question. If he is honest about his drug use (and there is no reason for us to believe that he hasn't), it could be that he answered the question "yes". In which case, he would require a waiver in order to be allowed to enter the USA. He would have to have been interviewed in person, and someone would have to grant him a waiver. We're simply asking for the name of the person who granted this waiver. Dewey said that a person's admission to using drugs does not automatically make them banned forever. A waiver process is available and many people can get one on a case by case basis. Who authorized the waiver given to Prince Harry? Did the protocol follow? It is something that the American people should know. There is no evidence Prince Harry was wrong. He may not have known of any political strings that were pulled, even if he was granted waiver. There is the possibility that he may become a political pawn by becoming an unwitting pawn on an issue that has become a hot potato. According to reports in the USA, Harry may have been admitted under an "O" visa. This visa is granted to individuals with extraordinary abilities. [From The Daily Mail] The visa application asks about drug abusers and drug addicts. In the past, he has taken drugs recreationally. This is what he wrote in his best-selling memoir. He has never been charged with a drug offense. He wouldn't need a waiver. Even if he did, it wouldn't be of the Heritage Foundation's business. Harry's visa application is not in the public's best interest. They will be surprised at how many conservative Americans believe Harry to be "the good type" of immigrant if the "immigrants want to take you and eat all your brains" crowd thinks. It was a significant moment for LSU, women's basketball, and women's sports overall. The women's basketball games received more attention, heat, commentary and social media engagement throughout March Madness. Then, the final saw every white man show his arse and reveal how much they hate Black women. Iowa's Caitlin Clegg, a young white woman, had performed John Cena’s "you cannot see me" hand gesture in front of her face during several matches. Women and men have been mimicking Cena's gesture over the years. It's an effective, simple way to trash talk while not saying a word. Angel Reese, a young Black woman from LSU, made the same gesture to Caitlin Clark during the final. Clark was cheered and applauded when she did it. Clark was suddenly "classless" when Reese did it. It doesn't matter what gender, sport, or background, you are seconds away from winning a championship if you do something similar and make all the bad things worse. What kind of coach is this team? -- Keith Olbermann (@KeithOlbermann) April 2, 2023 Yeah. It's amazing to me that this misogynoir double standard is still being used in the year of Beyonce 2023. Are these white people not tired? Are they not able to hear themselves? Reese took criticism in stride – and I hate that it was necessary – telling journalists post-game: "I had a moment after the game ended. I was in my bag. I was in the moment All year, I was criticised about who I was. The narrative -- I don’t fit into the narrative. I don't fit in the box you want me to be. "I'm too hood." I'm too ghetto. Y'all have told me that for the past year. However, when others do it, y’all don’t say anything. This is for girls who look like me. They'll speak for what they believe. It's completely you. That's why I did it tonight. This was much bigger than I thought it would be tonight. Twitter will be a rage each and every time. I'm so happy. "I feel like I have helped grow women's basketball in this year." [From Yahoo] She did a lot to help women's basketball grow. She was a trash-talking or trash-gesturing icon. It's a sport. It's a GAME. Women can have as much fun as the men and still be able to make trash-talk and gesture. This was a ridiculous comment, both racist and sexist. It wasn't "classless," when Caitlin Clark did the same thing, but it's not classless when Angel Reese does the same thing. Let the women compete! Angel Reese, only 20, is still young. However, taunting Caitlin with such a crude joke shows her lack of class. Play with class. Win with class. Lose with class. Clark's parents can be proud of Clark for not being taunted. They raised her right. pic.twitter.com/HQyVFuyJIw -- Jose de Jesus Ortiz (@OrtizKicks) April 2, 2023 Caitlin was talking shit, which is why I enjoyed watching her play. HUGE LEGAL NEWS Paltrow wins $1 in Ski-Crash Trial

Yesterday was a landmark day in American legal history. Gwyneth Paltrow won her epic battle against Terry Sanderson. Sanderson, a retired optometrist blamed Paltrow (an actor who isn't retired) for injuries he allegedly sustained in a ski accident at Deer Valley Resort, Utah in 2016. Sanderson claimed Paltrow had crashed into him while he was skiing, but Paltrow said it was the opposite. Paltrow was convicted by the jury. Sanderson claims that Paltrow's reckless ski caused him to collide with another skier, which left him with four broken bones, a concussion and permanent brain damage. This seems to be more damage than any speeding Paltrow could cause, unless Paltrow is wearing the Rescue armor in Avengers: Endgame. These injuries would not be possible under less realistic circumstances. Sanderson testified that he heard Paltrow utter a "blood-curdling sound" before the impact. This was the type of sound Sanderson believed an "out of control" person might make when they are about to strike a tree or, presumably, an optometrist. CNN removed Sanderson's attempt to recreate the scream for jurors, which was not a successful effort. Although he did have one witness to support his claims, the story of that person seems to have changed over the years. Paltrow had a different story. Paltrow claimed that she was calmly skiing when she noticed a pair ski tips coming up from behind her and between her skis, causing them to separate. She described a strange sound that came from her back, where she felt the body pressing against her skis. A ski instructor reported that the male skier was responsible for the accident. Paltrow was not hurt, except for the grunting. She resisted, saying that she didn't want to "acquiesc[e]" to a false claim. After deliberating for a short time, the jurors voted in Paltrow's favour, saying that Sanderson was "100%" to blame. They gave her $1 as she requested. Paltrow was seen looking over at Sanderson as she left the courtroom. Sanderson was still seated at his defense table. (She also touched his back lightly, which technically constitutes battery. Just saying. I can only guess that she said, "You'll regret crossing me, worm." Your world will be destroyed. Your world will burn. Ah, and a man who was president for a time was also indicted. Paltrow was awarded the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1999 for "Shakespeare in Love," in that her character murders an optometrist.

Jenna Ortega doesn't consider herself a 'walking billboard'.
Jenna Ortega's performance was amazing. I didn't know Ortega had been acting since she was little and had seen her perform a dozen times. Wednesday Addams is a very specific character. However, Ortega has a shapeshifter quality that will help her to be a successful actress. Jenna is currently promoting Scream VI, her second appearance in the franchise. Elle is her cover story and it is a very "star is born” introductory piece, given Wednesday's overwhelming success. Here are some highlights: Her preferred language is music. I listen to everything. Although I know that everyone says it, sometimes I will listen to things that I don’t think are good. It's because I need to understand. She is always working: "From Action' to ‘Cut' is why I love my job," she said. She says that she feels like she has the f-k out between these two directions. The 'Scream franchise: "I have such respect for the franchise that it was hard for me to make it wrong." "I wanted it to be done right, but I also didn’t want to be ripping anyone off." Neve Campbell will not reprise her role of Sidney Prescott in this movie. According to Variety, Campbell left because she felt she was undervalued for her role as the star of the 25 year-old franchise. Ortega said Campbell's departure was "really unfortunate", "especially since Neve is the coolest sweetest and most talented woman." Without her, the franchise wouldn't exist." Ortega is naturally introverted. "If I really want to make movies and play characters, or write and direct film scores, then I can do it all in my own backyard. It doesn't necessarily have to be on such a large scale. It can sometimes feel almost worthless because of all the side work that goes with my job. I don't want my life to be a billboard. It can make you feel more in control of your own life. It's something I have seen or heard of many people succumb to. I don't want any affiliation to anyone or anything. Denzel and Dakota Fanning's film "Man on Fire" changed her life. She said, "I was happy sitting down and dissecting that movie over-and-over again. It was hard to believe that someone so young could do such a thing as this. It made me feel good. That's what I became passionate about." Her mother would drive her to auditions in northern California. "To do that four-to five days per week while still raising your other children was absurd." It was both exciting and daunting to build her career. It was the guilt of "Okay, well if it doesn't work out, then I'm screwed." Because it was a lot of time and money that we didn't have, I put my whole family through this." Is she really a Wednesday/dark horror person? "I feel conflicted about what I am interested in or passionate about because there is a part of me that feels like the girl from the Coachella Valley. She isn't a fan of rom-coms. It's a secret pride thing, I believe. This is the problem with many female characters. A lot of them are man-oriented or express or emotive things based on a guy’s story and position. She isn't dating: "Maybe my obsession with my work makes me too stressed, but the idea that relationships stress me out." It's also difficult to be vulnerable with someone, to get to know them well and have someone see you as you are... My brain doesn't need to think about it right now. [From Elle] If you don't know what I mean, she comes across charismatically neurotic. You see, she isn't afflicted by deep neurosis. She's just a young woman from a working class background who struggles with the trappings and demands of the industry. It's almost as if she doesn't want to "f-k it up", but she will. Samantha Markle's case for defamation against her sister was dismissed
Good news kept coming in last night: Trump was indicted, Gwyneth was acquitted and Samantha Markle’s dumbf-k suit was dismissed from court. It came down to Samantha trying prove Meghan "defamed," her sister Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, when Meghan spoke to Oprah in her childhood. Good news kept coming in last night: Trump was indicted, Gwyneth was acquitted and Samantha Markle’s dumbf-k suit was dismissed from court. I previously tried to unravel Samantha's defamation suit against Meghan, the Duchess, of Sussex. It came down to Samantha trying prove Meghan "defamed," her sister Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, when Meghan spoke to Oprah in her childhood. However, Samantha claimed Finding Freedom defamed Meghan, but Meghan didn't write or publish Finding Freedom. It looked as though the case was dragging its feet through Florida's civil courts. The Duke and Duchess might even have to be deposed for this nuisance lawsuit. The judge dismissed the case on Thursday. After a Florida judge granted a motion for dismissal, Samantha Markle lost her defamation lawsuit against her half-sister, Meghan Markle. Samantha filed her case against Meghan Markle in March 2022. She sued Meghan Markle for defamation, injurious falsehoods, and "malicious lies" in several alleged instances. This included during Oprah Winfrey's well-publicized sit down interview with Harry. U.S. District Judge Charlene E. Edwards Honeywell granted Meghan's motion for dismissal on Thursday after Samantha claimed that the couple's relationship was "unravelled" because of Samantha's star rise and her eventual meeting with Prince Harry. Samantha's lawsuit cites three issues from Oprah 2021 interview. In that interview Meghan claimed she was an only child, that she had only met her half sister "a handful" and that Samantha changed her surname after Meghan began dating Prince Harry to cash in on her fame. "A reasonable listener wouldn't think that Defendant was suggesting she has no half siblings, that Plaintiff doesn't actually exist or that Plaintiff was not related to her," the ruling states regarding Meghan's claim that she was an "only" child to Oprah. "As a normal listener would understand, Defendant merely exprimes her opinion about her childhood as well as her relationship with her half siblings. The Court concludes that Defendant’s statement cannot be objectively verified or subject to empirical evidence . The statement cannot be proved false because it isn't 'capable' of being proven false and is therefore protected from defamation actions. Samantha claimed that Meghan had told Oprah they only had met "a handful" of times. But the court denied that claim. Samantha's claim that she changed her surname to be famous was also dismissed. Samantha said the transcript clearly contradicts the claims. She noted that Meghan had stated the following: "She changed back her last name to Markle. I believe she's in her early 40s at the time. This is when I began dating Harry. That's enough, I believe. Samantha was able to file an amended complaint within 14 day of the order, but the claims were denied without prejudice. Samantha also claims her half-sister "contributed falsified information" to the authors of Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family. This is specifically Chapter 12, titled "A Problem Like Samantha." The court however agreed with Meghan. "Defendant argues the claims based upon Finding Freedom must fail since she didn't publish the book," it reads. "The Court agrees." Samantha's request to have attorneys' fees and costs incurred under the anti-SLAPP statute denied by the court without prejudice. [From The Daily Beast] According to what I can see there hasn’t been any ruling on Samantha’s obligation to pay Meghan’s legal fees. However, the court said that Meghan will not have to pay Samantha’s fees. It's been a long time since White Markle-ville has been quiet. There have been no updates from Mexico and Samantha has just received her delusional sex. It's a shame. It's not true. Meghan's relationships are so...

Kate Hudson seems to be reflecting on her career a lot lately. Her thoughts on nepotism and her roles in the media have been what I've seen about her. There has also been some information about her unplanned wedding. Kelly Ripa recently interviewed Kate about her early career, how that affected her self-image, and her love life. Kate Hudson is being real about her life in the spotlight. Hudson spoke out about how she was able to attract so much attention during her early days as a professional. The actress from Glass Onion, 43, said that "when I became really famous, there were so many lies." "It was so strange because it felt so unfair, like this is unfair," said the Glass Onion actress. Hudson shared her story and said, "They were so mean towards women." Hudson referred to the body-shaming that comes with being too thin or too fat, and then having to go up your skirt and show off the cellulite. Star added that her celebrity status had an impact on her love life. "I could not speak to a man if I wasn't partnered with him." She said that she couldn't just sit down and say hello to anyone. "It was all happening at such an alarming rate that it was hard to comprehend. I realized that I needed to learn how to ignore all of this." Hudson stated that she was refusing to allow it to get to her at one point. She said, "It was so bad." You just have to realize that the more you feel sorry for them, the more you let them win. They will win if I allow the negative energy to enter me. They have my full support." [From People] Kate is absolutely right about media being so cruel to women. It is still a mean media. But it has moved from being mean in the outlets to meanness in the comments. Everyone has an opinion, and the most shared opinions are the negative. Regardless of their size, people still get body-shaming. The bodies of women are a topic of constant conversation. It can have a negative impact on your self-image and affect your self-image. People were sometimes harsh about Kate's love life, though I don't remember it. According to Kate's comments on the podcast it is possible that she wasn't actually dating as much as we thought. However, I do remember people calling her "man-eater" or saying that there was something wrong in living a single life. The tide is turning on this though, as I don't see much commentary about her children's fathers. Three kids and three dads is a very small number considering the things male celebrities do. Good for Kate for not allowing negativity to get to her. She could make a fortune if she could bottle it and sell it. Prince Harry did not appear in court yesterday to hear Day 3 of his pre-trial hearing regarding his lawsuit against ANL/The Mail. He doesn't appear to be present in court today, at least, I haven’t seen any videos or photos as of this writing. He was present for the first two days. It was the second day that his testimony was taken into evidence. Harry had to basically preview his case and tell ANL why it was so important that the lawsuit go to trial. It has been fascinating to see the British media, particularly the Mail, attempt to cover Harry's unexpected appearance in London as well as this lawsuit. Although the Mail mostly ignored Harry's words, they used their platform to share their view of the matter. But only to a certain extent. This story was published as an exclusive by the Mail yesterday. It is an explicit punitive story about Archewell’s charitable arm. The Mail heavily editorialized and did a lot of things to suggest that something was amiss with Archewell’s finances. Tax records show that the Foundation of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2021 awarded $3 million in grants, raised $13million from wealthy benefactors, and received $4,500 in public donations. The latest tax returns have been released by the humanitarian charity. They reveal that it was largely supported by two wealthy philanthropists, who collectively contributed $13 million, and received only $4,470 from public donations. Archewell received $13,005,660 in total. $10 million came from an individual donor, $3million from another and $4,470 from other contributions and grants. DailyMail.com documents reveal that $1,190 was derived from 'investment income. It is possible that Oprah Winfrey made the largest donation in exchange for the interview Oprah gave with the Duke and Duchess in March 2021. Harry also received $3million as part of the $20 million advance he received to write his controversial autobiography Spare. The charity distributed $3,096,319 as grants. This is 24 percent of its income. At the end of 2021, it had $9,018,590 of reserves. It also shows that Harry and Meghan spent one hour a week working at the foundation, which is 52 hours per year. This is comparable to one week of full-time work. It raises questions about how they spent their time while Archewell was their primary focus. According to filings, the charity spent $163,000.85 on salaries. Although Harry and Meghan do not receive a salary, CEO James Holt works an hour per week and earns a $59 846 salary and $3832 in benefits. This means that he is earning $1,224/hour. [From The Mail] Although I have never been involved in the financial side, it seems like everything is above board to me. It was known about the money entering Archewell, so it is strange to see this as new information or information that hurts the Sussexes. It is now that it appears Oprah "donated $10 million" to charity to pay them for their interview. It's okay if that's what happened. Oprah donated a donation and they weren't paid. It doesn't seem like the charity has lost $10 million. It will carry over into the next fiscal year. Harry and Meghan are not earning a salary and they don't work more than one hour per week. I assume that's a tax calculation. Is this the only response from the Mail? Photos courtesy Avalon Red and Backgrid

Sarah Ferguson is reportedly going to the Oscars and she has been asked to present.
Sunday is the Oscars and I have been anticipating the inevitable "what happens if the Duke Duchess of Sussex attend the Oscars" stories in British media. For several years they've tried different versions of this story, often with a twist like "well tut tut, why would Harry or Meghan even be invited?" "Maybe this year it will be different!" It looks like Sarah Ferguson (Duchess of York) will attend the Oscars. Because she is close to the Presleys and Baz Luhrmann has a crack-out Elvis movie that will be up for many awards. Due to her close connections with Elvis Presley's families, the Duchess of York will be handing out a gong at Sunday's Oscars ceremony. Sarah Ferguson (63), is expected to attend the LA ceremony. The Elvis biopic will be up for eight awards. According to a source, "There have been discussions about the Duchess attending. It now looks like that will happen -- she is expected to present an award. She is a close friend of Elvis' family, particularly Lisa Marie Presley, and even spoke at Elvis' funeral. After some discussion, it seems like she will be attending. As she seeks to make a new start, the royal has been spending much of her time in America of late with Prince Andrew, her estranged husband. According to the source, "It's big deal to have them there, but it is also a big deal" After the recent problems in the UK, America appears likely to play an important role in her future. After reconciling their bitter split, Fergie and Andrew still remain close to each other and live at Royal Lodge, Windsor. [From The Sun] Fergie has lived in America, Switzerland and the United Kingdom at different times in the past 30 year. For a long time, she lived rent-free at Royal Lodge with Prince Andrew. Lord knows where she will end up if Andrew moves to a smaller residence on the Windsor estate. It's possible that her daughters helped her to purchase the Mayfair home. Maybe Fergie now has her own place in London. We may never know. However, I doubt Fergie will return to America. Concerning Oscar presentation stuff, I think Oscar producers would be more interested in Harry and Meghan presenting. It would be strange to ask Fergie (of course !!!)) to present. To present a gig for Elvis. Photos courtesy Avalon Red and Backgrid.

The titles of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are now in the order of succession
We have to see this week as monarchists pretend that royal titles are based upon "merit" and "popularity" and not birthright, primogeniture or proximity to the monarch. This is an archaic system based on bloodshed and theft, racism, and property. Because their grandfather was king last September, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet would always be prince and princess. Charles has made a lot of noise about changing the Letters Patent, and while he tried his best to exile and shun his mixed-race grandchildren as much as possible, he didn’t change jacksh-t. Since September, Archie and Lilibet had these titles. When updating the line of succession following QEII's passing, the palace attempted to be loose and didn't include Lili or Archie's titles. The palace made the changes to the line of succession titles for the children today at 9:30 GMT. According to sources, the Daily Mail was told by "sources" that the Sussexes were frustrated that Buckingham Palace did not immediately recognize Archie and Lilibet’s titles six months after Queen Elizabeth's death. This is especially true considering that Prince William's children's titles have changed. Buckingham Palace claims they were waiting for Harry or Meghan to make a decision, but the palace and the Sussexes have been in contact for months over the titles of the children's names. According to royal sources, "Charles not blocking" it is a sign that he does not see the trouble Harry and Meghan have caused. Charles would not have 'punished his grandchildren that way." Charles certainly made it clear that he would, and that he wouldn't update the line of succession to reflect the titles of his grandchildren for months. This is not a win for Charles. The spokesperson for the Sussexes made another statement. PEOPLE was told by a spokesperson for Duke and Duchess, that the children's titles were a birthright ever since their grandfather became monarch. "This matter was settled in accordance with Buckingham Palace. [From People] Yes, again. The Sussexes claim that the palace knew for some time that the Sussexes had made a decision (again, it's not how things work). King Charles assumed an air punitive manipulation and said that he would remove the titles of the children to punish Harry for Spare. Charles made a negative story into another one. These are photos of Prince Harry as he left the High Court in London Tuesday after the second day in the pretrial hearings for his lawsuit against ANL/The Mail. Here's a quick overview of Harry's movements: on Monday, Harry arrived at the front door of the courthouse along with his security and lawyers. The media scrum was abuzz. On Monday, Harry left court by the side or back exit. This exit is still open to media, but the back exit is more secure and less likely to be impeded. He arrived Tuesday and exited via the same back door. He smiled at photographers as he left Tuesday. He seems happy and free. He looks happy and free. This is probably because Harry gave a witness statement to court because ANL wants to stop this lawsuit from going to trial. Here are some excerpts from Harry's testimony to the court. It was written, but you get the idea. The Duke of Sussex is currently in London for a legal case where he and other prominent people are suing Associated Newspapers Ltd. (ANL) for illegal information collection. He submitted a witness statement, in which he claims he was forced to adopt the family policy of "never complain, ever explain" when dealings with the media. "I have had a difficult relationship with the media since the death of my mother, when I was twelve years old, and the treatment she received from the press. As a member, the policy was to "never complain, never answer." I was forced to agree to it. For the most part I was open to the possibility of my public functions being performed. Prince Harry stated that he became increasingly troubled by Meghan Markle's dating and "increasingly disturbed" by his inability to take action against the media in the wake "vicious persistent attacks on, harassment and intrusive sometimes racist articles about Meghan." He also said that the situation had gotten worse with Meghan's pregnancy, and the birth in May 2019 of Prince Archie. Prince Harry stated that he was aware of a lawsuit against News Group Newspapers for phone hacking. He could bring it in 2018. He stated that the Institution had withheld information from him for years about NGN's hacking. This was evident only after I pursued my claim with different legal advice. Harry said: "It's not an exaggeration for me to say that the bubble burst as far as what I knew in 2020, when I moved out the United Kingdom...To the present day, there are members and friends of the Royal Family who may have been targeted or NGN and I don't know if they have brought any claims. Because each office is independent, there was no centralised discussion about who brought claims. It is common to believe that we all communicate with each other constantly. Prince Harry stated that the claim was not about him. He said that he brought the claim because he loves his country and is deeply concerned at the unchecked influence, power and criminality of Associated. "The evidence that I have seen clearly shows that Associated journalists are criminals who possess journalistic powers, which should concern everyone. The British public deserves to see the whole story, and it is my duty to expose this. [From People] "It is no exaggeration for me to say that the bubble burst as far as what I knew in 2020, when I moved out the United Kingdom." I also think so. I can remember feeling frustrated with Harry in 2018 and 2019, as we could see how palace and press collided more and more to drive Meghan to self-harm, or simply to force her to divorce Harry, and leave the country. Harry claimed that they were being kept in the dark, and they weren't being given all the details of who was recording what, why certain papers had certain information, and how it happened. It was crazy that Elton John had to say "you should hire you own lawyers" before everything started moving. Harry was trapped in a Stockholm Syndrome-esque situati...
