Rege-Jean Page (@regejean), shared this post. This weekend, Dungeons Dragons: Honor Among Thieves was premiered. It opened at number one with $38 million. This is quite impressive for a movie that's based on a video game. Is it the video game movies that do not usually do well? Rege-Jean Page was the most beautiful man in the film. He was forced to wear armor and claimed that he had the most uncomfortable costume of all the actors. Rege-Jean Page didn't roll a nat 20, when it came time to his Dungeons Dragons, Honor Among Thieves outfit. He claims that he wore the most uncomfortable outfit of any of his castmates -- which included Hugh Grant, Justice Smith, Chris Pine, Sophia Lillis and Justice Smith -- among all the actors who played perfect paladin Xenk. Page laughed during a BBC Radio 1 interview about the new movie adaptation of the tabletop game. Page was referring to the fact that Robert Downey Jr. once stated that he had avoided wearing the Iron Man suit in later Marvel films. "Like, filming with armor is not where I want to be." He said, "You're always hot." You can't sit down. You can't sit down. You can make it a scubasuit by adding your own juices. It was delicious. Rodriguez was interviewing him and then expressed her disapproval for the suit. Ali Plumb, a Radio 1 interviewer, pointed out that Page's armor was at best crafted with 10-pack abs. Page responded that this was part of the deal. He teased, "That's in the contract." "It didn't before. It is now. Page doesn't want to forget the six-pack. In fact Page would like to see a 12-pack in a future movie. Page said, "We have technology." Page had previously spoken out about his DD attire during a Variety interview last month at the 2023 Oscars. "Everything is kind of digging into your chest. He explained that you're trying to do complicated fight sequences, and nothing works exactly the way it should." "Chain mail and plate armor?" This is not for comfort. Although his shiny suit was a little bulky, Page found some comfort in the fact that his fantasy epic resulted to him having insanely sculpted glutes. During the recent Comic Con panel, he stated that "Coming into it, I got really really good with swords." It was a lot of stunts training. My thighs were killing my and I had the most amazing time of my life. This job was the most enjoyable. I spent time training and killing dragons. [From Entertainment Weekly] Rege-Jean looked great in this costume. He always looks great! He knows what corsets and other costumes look like on women. But actors often complain about how uncomfortable armor costumes can be. It's surprising that they haven’t found a way to accommodate men. Maybe they are unable to make it look real without making it uncomfortable. The costume's sweatiness sounds disgusting. It was disgusting to hear him describe his experience of just sitting in his sweat. The second half of that quote is too much for me to even type. It's possible they made a lot of these costumes, as it didn't smell very good. Although the abs were visible on the outer armor, sweating so much inside the costume probably contributed to some real-life abs. This movie is on my to-see list, though I haven’t yet seen it. It looks funny and the cast is great (and random).
