Hugh has been busy with film projects and Broadway's successful The Music Man run. Hugh's Wolverine physique has not been required for any of these films. He is trying to get into comic book shape by eating over 8,000 calories per day. Eight thousand. It sounds awful! It's true, I would love to not have the burden of counting every crumb, but if that was the only option, I will stick to my menopause diet. Hugh Jackman is growing to be Wolverine once again. The actor, who won the Golden Globe for acting, shared a photo showing a day in his life as one of Marvel's most beloved X-Men. As he prepares for his role in the X-Men, he has been slowly increasing the calories in his diet. The actor is now on a diet that's fit for a mutant. He has two meals per day: black bass with vegetable rice and herb sauce (2,000 cal), Patagonia salmon (2,000 cal), two chicken burgers (1,000 cal each), and two grass-fed sirloins (1,000 cal each). "Bulking. Jackman captioned the photo with the caption "A day in the Life" and a photo of the high-calorie meals. "Thanks Chef Mario for keeping me healthy and well-fed while I... Becoming. Wolverine. Again." Jackman is sharing his rigorous exercise routine via social media, along with an average daily intake of 8,300 calories. Jackman, 54, posted a photo of himself with bulging quads after he lost a lot of weight. He's only 46. I'm older. It's not a contest," says the caption. Ryan Reynolds is poked fun at in the caption. [From LA Times] I was actually inspired by Hugh's food choices to make me hungry. These meals look delicious. Although I wouldn't be able to eat two sirloins or burgers at once, I could eat one. Hugh and me are the same age, and I am allowed to eat less than 1/8th his daily calorie allowance. However, I don't powerlift refrigerators in my downtime. This is just a small part of the story. It was speculated that Wolverine would be a part of the new Deadpool, but there was general agreement that it was in flashbacks. This likely means that he is digitally de-aging. Could they not also digitally bulk up Hugh? This is a flex. Literally. This crap is a favorite of men. You can see me eating my way through Foster Farms, pulling a semi uphill for a job. You might have noticed that I am so committed... and fit. He will look amazing, he always does (except that he is too veiny for me). My husband will be telling me all about it. He'll ask for chicken breasts, and we might even run into Play It Again Sports on our way home. Is it possible for men to be inspired by the way actors in movies do the dishes? That's pretty sexy. You should definitely check out Hugh’s chef, Chef Mario Spina’s IG. Mmmmmmm. At the very moment news was spreading Tuesday that Andrew Cuomo intended to resign as governor of New York, Tara Reade was talking to The Real News Network. At the very moment news was spreading Tuesday that Andrew Cuomo intended to resign as governor of New York, Tara Reade was talking to The Real News Network. Reade, who has accused President Joe Biden of sexual assault in 1993 when he was a Senator from Delaware, was discussing the differences between how the media handled her case and how they handled the claims made against Cuomo.
“I think that his resignation is a good first step towards justice for his survivors,” Reade said upon hearing Cuomo’s resignation statement. “Now I hope that it is followed up with consequences for the people who colluded to cover it up and for organizations like Time’s Up that participated in trying to go even further and discredit survivors and I hope that the criminal investigation goes forward. Now, let’s do Biden.”
Cuomo’s announcement came a week after New York Attorney General Letitia James released a report that detailed sexual harassment complaints against him from nine women, painting a “deeply disturbing but clear picture” of his abuses. The complaints against Cuomo ranged from inappropriate comments to unsolicited kissing and groping of his staffers. This investigation also led to the resignation of Roberta Kaplan from her position as chair of the anti-sex-abuse charity Time’s Up; Kaplan, the investigation found, had read and reviewed a letter drafted for the purpose of questioning the credibility of Lindsay Boylan, one of Cuomo’s accusers.
After the release of the report, Biden called on Cuomo to step down, and White House press secretary Jen Psaki called the allegations against Cuomo ‘abhorrent.’ Biden’s words rang hollow for many, however, given the fact that he, too, has a long list of women who have accused him of actions very similar to those committed by Cuomo. These allegations range from inappropriate touching to nude swimming in front of female secret service agents. “I think that [Cuomo’s] resignation is a good first step towards justice for his survivors … Now, let’s do Biden.” tara reade In a conversation with fellow New York Times opinion columnist Bret Stephens, Gail Collins tried to differentiate Biden’s “touchy-feely issues” from Cuomo’s, claiming the former’s actions are more “friendly” while the latter’s are “assaultive.” But Reade, who first went public with allegations against Biden in April of 2019, vehemently disagrees.
“I did not find where he put his hands ‘friendly’—that wasn’t friendly. He was trying to have sex with me and he was trying to force me into it,” Reade told TRNN. “I just don’t understand at this point, with [all that] has been out there about Joe Biden, that the legacy media is taking that stance, because history is not going to be kind to them—they are on the wrong side of it.”
Reade’s allegations against Biden, which she outlines in her recently published memoir Left Out: When the Truth Doesn’t Fit In, are disturbing. Reade says Biden held her against the wall, cupped her breast and touched her underneath her skirt. When she tried to pull away, he reportedly pushed her backwards and used his knee to separate her legs while whispering, “I want to fuck you.” According to Reade, when she was finally able to get away from Biden, he told her she was “nothing” to him.
Reade told a friend, her brother, and her mother about this assault in 1993. Her mother even anonymously called the Larry King Show in 1993 to ask what her daughter should do if she was having a problem with a senator. A former neighbor of Reade’s (who was a Biden supporter) also recalled that Reade had told her about the assault in 1995 or 1996. Furthermore, in a 1996 court declaration filed by her then-husband Theodore Dronen (the declaration was related to Dronen’s contestation of a restraining order), Dronen also appears to corroborate Reade’s story regarding “a p...

Three royal “things” happened over the course of about seven hours yesterday. One, Kensington Palace issued their press release and tweet confirming the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s big tour of Belize, Jamaica and The Bahamas. Two, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed that they would attend the NAACP Image Awards and that they would be receiving the President’s Award for their social justice work. Three, the Sussexes issued a statement on their Archewell site about the situation in Ukraine: Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and all of us at Archewell stand with the people of Ukraine against this breach of international and humanitarian law and encourage the global community and its leaders to do the same.
[From Archewell]
My gut-reaction is that the differences between the two couples couldn’t be starker. Harry and Meghan are receiving an award for their commitment to social justice, and they’re using the power of their pulpit to make a clear message of support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. William and Kate were the ones who looked like they weren’t reading the room, issuing a press release about their keen neocolonialist busywork tour in the middle of the first full day of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Would it really have been that difficult for Kensington Palace to wait a day or two before issuing the press release? Would it really have been that difficult for the Cambridges to issue their own personal statement supporting Ukrainians? So, obviously, the Daily Mail had to… make fun of Harry and Meghan for acting like the humanitarians they are. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle raised eyebrows today after intervening in the Ukraine crisis with a statement condemning Vladimir Putin’s invasion, amid jokes that the Russian president would be ‘shaking in his boots’.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote on the website of their Archewell charity: ‘Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and all of us at Archewell stand with the people of Ukraine against this breach of international and humanitarian law and encourage the global community and its leaders to do the same.’
But the couple, who live in an £11million mansion in Montecito, California, some 6,000 miles away from Kyiv, were criticised for a ‘breathtakingly arrogant’ statement and accused of ‘once again making this about them’. Today, Twitter was abuzz with reaction after Harry and Meghan issued their statement – which was headed ‘We Stand With The People Of Ukraine’ – as some social media users posted memes poking fun at the couple. Royal biographer Angela Levin, author of 2018 book Harry: Conversations with the Prince, said that the statement was ‘breathtakingly arrogant’, also tweeting: ‘Only a few days ago Harry was calling himself ‘just a regular guy’.’
GB News host Colin Brazier added: ‘Nothing throws an invasion into reverse like a lightning strike from the Sussexes.’ And broadcaster Piers Morgan tweeted: ‘This will really rattle Putin.’
[From The Daily Mail]
Does Angela Levin think that Harry being a regular guy means that he can’t also be a humanitarian who cares about the suffering of Ukrainians? Harry and Meghan never claimed that their words would stop an invasion! The purpose of people like the Sussexes making these kinds of statements is that A) people actually do want to know where they stand, and B) it stops the narratives about “why haven’t they said anything.” They would have been damned either way, and I’m glad they made the statement. I genuinely believe that people like Angela Levin are mad that William and Kate didn’t think to make a simple statement of support as well. Keanu didn't answer the question if he regretted any of his roles or career choices. He said that he didn't regret anything, but that he wanted to be the Wolverine, a strong Canadian X-Man, as Hugh Jackman had brought to life. Keanu Reeves shared his regrets about his career during a Reddit AMA. The John Wick actor, 58, was asked if regrets over not accepting any roles in the past. Although he declined to say yes, he revealed a dream role as a comic book hero. Keanu said that he had always wanted to play Wolverine. [From Just Jared] This breaks my heart a little. Keanu was considered seriously for Wolverine role before Hugh was even suggested. Many people were considered for possible Wolverines. The studio heads preferred only a handful of people. Keanu, Aaron Eckhart and Viggo Mortensen were just a few of the many. Keanu was hot and fresh from The Matrix. It was ultimately against him because they were afraid that comic book fans would not be able see beyond him as Neo. Doughary Scott was offered the role, but he had to leave. It is possible that he wouldn't have got John Wick if he had gotten Logan. Keanu from John Wick is a character I love so this worked out as it should. It also gave us Hugh/Ryan Reynolds the bromance. Ryan, a fellow Canadian, can probably find a part in the next Deadpool with Wolverine. This would be a beautiful film. King Charles believes that evicting Sussexes is like ripping off a band aid.
Buckingham Palace published the story about the Sussexes being expelled from Frogmore Cottage. Since then, the palace has tried various excuses to explain why King Charles isn't a dogsht father. It's also why a 70-something king can be petty and vindictive and racist. The excuse that Charles was "spitting mad about Prince Harry's memoir" was initially offered. (The timeline supports that). The excuse changed to "well, Charles just dreadfully worried about money." After that, the palace put the blame on Prince William, Kate, and Prince Andrew, who had been demanding Royal Lodge. This house-shuffle--evicting Prince Andrew and putting him in Frogmore--was the only way to solve the problem. All of these excuses were layered with King Charles's self-pity. It's almost as if he is terribly upset at being "forced" to be such a dogsht father, but it's not in his control. Here are some highlights: Relationship between Charles and Harry: Mail sources have reported that Charles has been unable to reconcile with his youngest son due to the implosion of their relationship. The King was apparently not keen to fuel their ongoing row and made the difficult decision to ask the couple for their departure from Windsor. The King and his staff felt that they could not resist acting after Harry and Meghan's repeated insults over the past year, particularly in their Netflix series and prince's memoir. Ripping off the Band-Aid. A source stated that the decision was made to begin the process. It's painful, but once it is done, it will be done. Will the Crown Estate be required to pay the Sussexes' money? Tonight's discussion also raised questions about whether the Crown Estate that leases Frogmore to Sussexes might end up owing them money. Frogmore Cottage used to be five run-down staff residences. It was then converted into one large home with private gardens using PS2.4million of taxpayers' funds. Everything beyond basic fixtures and fittings was paid for by the couple. The Sussexes paid a lump amount: Royal officials last year confirmed that Harry and Meghan are financially independent and stated that the couple's decision not to pay the PS2.4 million on Frogmore was a good deal for taxpayers. According to the Palace's annual accounts the lump sum they transferred to pay for the renovation of their former marital home on Queen's estate also covered future rental costs. However, even though the Sussexes had paid rent for several years in advance, royal circles are now asking if they would be owed any money back. The Sussexes still paid for maintenance: According to reports, the couple was also responsible for maintaining their home's garden. The taxpayer-funded Sovereign Grant was acting as the 'landlord' and completing more major work, including any necessary repairs to the Grade-II-listed property. According to a senior royal source, the rent was calculated independently and was based on market value. They added that they were confident in stating that the rent was a good deal for both the Sovereign Grant as well as the taxpayer. [From The Daily Mail] Last week, Prince Andrew threatened King Charles with a lawsuit if Charles attempted to force him out Royal Lodge. He also refused to reimburse him for all Andrew had invested in the property over the years. I hope that the Sussexes follow the same path. It's not just about the Sussexes needing reimbursement for (seemingly), overpaying in advance for the lease. It's also about the $3million they invested in the property. It's bonkers. It's absurd. Charles is accused of "ripping off the Bandaid" and, as I have said, Charles has deeper self-pity than anyone else. He thinks he is the victim because Harry wrote a book Charles won't read. The Sun reported that King Charles had "evicted" the Duke of Sussex and Duchess from Frogmore Cottage on the Royal Windsor estate. Sources confirmed that the Sun's initial report was retaliatory. It was an old man who felt vindicated for his son's writings. It is true that by claiming that the king was a f-king vindictive and petty, it makes him look awful. Some palace sources were sent to soften the language of the eviction and to make it seem that Charles was budget- and image-conscious. The Sussexes had to be expelled because of Britain's high cost of living crisis. The timeline shows that Charles was not able to hide his pettiness, and that the eviction was in retaliation for Spare. King Charles III will kick Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage and give it to the disgraced royal Prince Andrew. Page Six was told by a source that the incoming King began the eviction process January 1, just one day after "Spare," the memoir of the redheaded royal, which was published in December. According to The Sun, a source said that "This eviction certainly spells the end for Harry and Meghan's time here in the UK." [From Page Six] Let's emphasize the point: Spare was freed on January 10. On January 11, King Charles informs Sussexes that they are being evicted. Charles informs the British media for six weeks about Harry's expectations. He also tells them how he expects Harry will show up to the coronation. These people are naive. Charles wanted everyone to know that he was mad about Spare to the point of "evicting" the Sussexes just 24 hours after Spare was published. Many of you speculate that Charles or his minions told the Sussexes that they had planned to leave Frogmore and that this "eviction" was pure palace spin. This is a great theory. However, I believe Harry wanted Frogmore to remain for at least a few years, especially as he continues to fight the police over his security. Harry has not wavered in his belief that he should be able to travel to his home country whenever he wishes, and that his children should also know Britain. Although I believe that the Sussexes moved most of their stuff from Frogmore last year I believe they wanted to keep their cottage lease for many more years. This is why Harry renewed his lease. A spokesperson for Archewell also confirmed that the palace informed the Sussexes that their lease was ending, so...yeah. This was not the Sussexes' fault, but rather the palace. To rescue a cute but mischief-loving Niffler named Rococo in Hogwarts Legacy , players will have to be well-prepared to brave the dungeon. While this quest has no hard and fast prerequisites beyond getting the quest, players must progress far enough in the game to have a good handle on battle tactics. In addition, players who are not yet to higher end-game levels will also need to be cautious, as enemies in this region are quite challenging. To rescue this particular Magical Beast in Hogwarts Legacy , players must find the map's far reaches. The Manor Cape region has several collectibles and boasts many strong enemies. Therefore, players must be prepped with potions, dangerous plants, and a strong spell list to complete this side quest. For the combat in this quest, one of the suggested spell builds is a mixture of two red spells, Confringo and Bombarda, one purple spell, Descendo, and a yellow spell, Transformation, with the added Talent that can turn it into an explosive barrel. How To Find Henrietta’s Hideaway To start the quest, players will first need to travel to the Hamlet of Bainburgh. There, they will need to talk to the local vendor, Agnes Coffey. Rococo is her pet Niffler. She will tell the player that she last saw him near Henrietta’s Hideaway, one of the hidden areas in Hogwarts Legacy. It is a dungeon filled with dangerous traps and Ashwinders as well. She mentions that if someone braves the Hideaway and finds Rococo, they will be rewarded. To get to Henrietta’s Hideaway, it will either be a long walk down the coast or a somewhat long flight across the peninsula to the very southern end of Manor Cape. The Hideaway is under a ruined fortress resting on a cliff. While many Hogwarts Legacy collectibles are around the fortress, including a Merlin Trial and an Astronomy Table, there is also an Infamous Foe named Dunstan Trinity, who is level 35 at minimum. Dunstan Trinity is also surrounded by Ashwinder enemies, so if the player chooses to take them on, they will face a tough battle ahead. Alternatively, to skip the battle and a few collectibles in Hogwarts Legacy in the area, fly around the fortress and land at the activation point of the Merlin Trial. Use a Disillusionment spell and sneak down the stairs to get started with the quest. There are a couple of enemies here as well, but they can be sneaked past. Creep down to the doorway, and use the prompt to enter the Hideaway. Henrietta's Hideaway First Puzzle Solution The first thing the player is greeted with is a puzzle. There are two switches. One activation cube is already present, but the other is seemingly behind a wall. The switch on the hidden cube still needs to be activated, which can be done by using the Glacius spell. Next, turn to the left to see a statue with a cauldron in front of it. Use a burning spell to light the cauldron. Lighting it will flip the wall around, bringing the second activation cube into the room. Use the Wingardium Leviosa spell to move the cube to the empty switch. Use a burning spell on that cube again to activate it. After walking through the newly opened doorway, use Disillusionment to avoid starting a fight. In front of the player is a room filled with enemies and a large statue. To the left is a hallway that ultimately leads to a dead end. A puzzle down that hallway will give the player loot, but nothing is necessary to the quest. In the main room, two enemies are stationary on the left, one on the right, one wandering up and down the floor, and one on the balcony above. All enemies in this area are level 30, and another enemy may appear when the fighting starts. This can be done sneakily with the right stealth build in Hogwarts Legacy , but the player must be careful not to get spotted by the wandering enemy and the one on the balcony. Walking behind the two enemies on the left side of the roo...

Spoilers for HBO's The Last of Us episode 8 below!Fans of HBO's The Last of Us celebrate Joel (Pedro Pascal) becoming Ellie's (Bella Ramsey) dad in episode 8, "When We Are in Need." With food running low and Joel's injury worsening, Ellie takes it upon herself to hunt to survive. Unfortunately, the prospect of a nice hot meal takes her on a collision course with David (Scott Shepard), a cannibalistic preacher who wants revenge against Joel for killing one of his men, and for Ellie to join him in his cult-like community. After Ellie is captured, Joel races through the resort town to find Ellie bloodied and in shock after butchering David to death with a meat cleaver. The two embrace and Joel calls Ellie "baby girl," a term of endearment Joel had for his daughter Sarah (Nico Parker). On the heels of The Last of Us episode 8, fans took to social media to celebrate Joel metaphorically becoming Ellie's father. Check out some of their reactions below: How Joel And Ellie's Relationship Progressed In The Last of Us After a 20-year time-jump following the brutal murder of his daughter, Joel had become a grizzled, resentful survivor. He and Ellie were initially at odds when they first met in The Last of Us premiere, wanting absolutely nothing to do with each other. However, after overcoming multiple traumatic life-changing challenges while on their perilous journey to the Fireflies, the pair began to care for one another. Following Tess' (Anna Torv) tragic death, Joel decided to continue the job as a favor to her, as it was her dying wish. As their trek continued, Ellie began to break through Joel's tough facade with her precocious personality. He soon trusted Ellie with a small gun after saving his life from one of Kathleen's (Melanie Lynskey) insurrectionists, even playfully teasing her as he taught her how to use it. In the same episode, Ellie made Joel burst with genuine laughter with a joke from her pun book. Their relationship grew stronger over months with Joel opening himself to Ellie's relentless questions. His love for her was clearly evident when Joel reunited with his brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna) in Jackson, Wyoming. In stark contrast to the original video game, Joel broke down in tears as he begged Tommy to replace him as Ellie's protector. Joel did not want to pawn her off on his brother, but honestly believed that he could no longer keep her safe. With The Last of Us season finale a week away, audiences can finally see Joel and Ellie at the end of their journey. More: Who Are David’s Group? Box Office Results: Creed III Knocks Out the Competition
Score one for Michael B. Jordan as his directorial debut, Creed III, just rocketed past expectations and opened with a sensational $58.6 million — a franchise record, according to Deadline, and the best opening for a sports movie ever. Internationally, the Rocky sequel (the first without Sylvester Stallone) earned $41.8M en route to a $100.4 million global debut. Comparatively, the original Creed finished with a $173.5M global take ($109M domestic, $63M international) in 2015, while Creed II earned a respectable $214M worldwide ($115.7M/$98M) in 2018. Score one for Michael B. Creed III will easily overtake those total to become the highest-grossing entry in the Creed trilogy, and might actually surpass the $300M (unadjusted for inflation) total of Rocky IV to become the highest-grossing Rocky flick. Word of mouth should help as audiences awarded Creed III with a 96% score on RottenTomatoes and an A- CinemaScore. We loved it too, as you can tell by our review and Rocky rankings. Meanwhile, Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania dipped another 62% to bring its domestic total to $186.3M. Worldwide, the Marvel threequel has collected $419.5M and has a ways to go if it hopes to beat Ant-Man ($519.3M) and Ant-Man and the Wasp ($622.6M). That’ll be tough with Creed III performing above expectations and an upcoming docket that includes Scream VI, 65, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and John Wick: Chapter 4. Cocaine Bear held well, dipping just 54% in its sophomore frame to bring its domestic total to $41.2M. Worldwide, Elizabeth Banks’ horror comedy has collected $52M. Also, for those of you keeping track at home, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water($670.6M) needs just $4M to surpass Titanic ($674.3M) as the eighth highest-grossing domestic film of all time and $8M to top Avengers: Infinity War ($678.8M). Not bad for a film the internet claimed no one wanted. Worldwide, Cameron’s epic sits at No. 3 with $2.281 billion. Adjusted for inflation, The Way of Water lands at No. 22 on the domestic release chart, just behind The Dark Knight and Infinity War. No matter how you slice it, the sequel was huge, though, admittedly, not as huge as its predecessor($929M when adjusted). A lot has changed since 2009, but it’s still interesting to view how moviegoing has shifted over the last decade or so. Box Office Results: Domestic Top 10 1.) Everything We Know About Scream VI
When you’ve already done five increasingly meta and self-referential horror movies, where do you have left to go? Well, New York City, apparently. Just as Jason Voorhees did 34 years ago, the Scream franchise takes Manhattan in the upcoming Scream VI , a direct sequel to 2022’s Scream (which was technically Scream V, but opted not to have the Roman numeral designation to play into the whole “requel” theme that was so integral to the story).

By now, we all know that the point of any Scream movie is that it’s part whodunit and part commentary on the cliches and tropes of the horror genre, so its movies are always going to go in for a little misdirection and some knowing winks at the fact that it knows that you know where this is all going, but getting there is 90% of the fun. The first trailer sets the stage. We’re not in Woodsboro anymore.
So without knowing what twists and turns await us, here’s what we know so far about Scream VI. The Survivors of Scream (2022) Are Back for More (Photo by Philippe Bosse/Paramount Pictures)
The new movie follows sisters Sam and Tara Carpenter (Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega) who, obviously, made it out of the last movie in once piece (despite Tara seemingly being earmarked for a Drew Barrymore-esque quick exit right in the beginning). Sam’s bloodline connection to original Scream (1996) killer Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich) will once again be a major story point this time around as well – is she just a victim, or will her father’s dark side manifest itself? (Note she says, “There’s a darkness inside of me” in the trailer). Twins Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding) also follow the Carpenter sister to the big city, and tabloid TV journalist-turned-best-selling-author Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) returns to her NYC home turf to once again get caught up in the mayhem. The Team Behind the Scenes Returns As Well (Photo by Brownie Harris/Paramount Pictures)
The entire crew behind Scream (2022) are back, too. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett ( Ready or Not ) are once again at the helm, alongside producers William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein. Vanderbilt also co-wrote the script with Guy Busick, like they did for the last installment. The whole creative team returning combined with the fact that these sequels are coming out in much quicker succession than previous Scream films (which usually had a few years’ gap time in between) gives Scream VI the feeling of being a more direct and urgent continuation of the story. Unfortunately, Neve Campbell Has Tapped Out (Photo by Brownie Harris/Paramount Pictures)
Despite returning for Scream V, original star Neve Campbell won’t be making the trek to the Big Apple. Sidney Prescott is still very much alive, but Campbell has cited contractual drama as the reason she won’t be joining the hunt for the latest Ghostface. The actress released a statement explaining the situation to fans, saying, “Sadly I won’t be making the next Scream film. As a woman, I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my value, especially when it comes to Scream. I felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise. It’s been a very difficult decision to move on. To all my Scream fans, I love you. You’ve always been so incredibly supportive to me. I’m forever grateful to you and to what this franchise has given me over the past 25 years.” …But Hayden Panettiere Is Back In (Photo by Philippe Bosse/Paramount Pictures)
What’s something horror movies have always taught us? If you don’t see a character’s final breath, you can’t ever assume they’re actually dead. Despite appearing to be killed in Scream 4, we never got conclusive proof that Hayden Panettiere’s Kirby Reed was a goner. An Easter Egg in Scream V teased her fate – While Richie Kirsch (Jack Quaid) is...

It is a monotype Grass- Pokémon with type advantages against Ground- and Water-types making it exceptional for recent raid events such as the 7-Star Pikachu Raid or Pokémon Scarlet's Walking Wake. It is a monotype Grass- Pokémon with type advantages against Ground- and Water-types making it exceptional for recent raid events such as the 7-Star Pikachu Raid or Pokémon Scarlet's Walking Wake. The key to victory not only comes from correctly placing its Grass-typing against a weakness but also from its ability, Contrary. As always, when picking Lurantis, keep in mind its weaknesses to limit the number of times it faints. Catching Lurantis in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is easy and can also be obtained by evolving its pre-evolution Fomantis. These Pokémon can be found near each other or on their own in locations such as South Province Area 1 or Casseroya Lake. Remember that Fomantis is very small, so being patient and walking instead of running will aid in seeking one. During the day and at level 34, Fomantis will evolve into Lurantis, giving trainers another trainable raid-ready Pokémon, much like another Grass-type such as Meowscarada in Pokémon Scarlet Violet . Due to Lurantis's Grass-typing putting them to Sleep with Spore, Sleep Powder will not work. Consider using Hypnosis, Yawn, or Sing to improve the chances of catching one. Individual Values, Effort Values, and Nature for Lurantis Pokémon IV Spread EV Spread Best Nature Lurantis MAX (except Attack) 252 HP, 252 Special Attack Modest Although Lurantis boasts a high physical Attack stat, Lurantis will take advantage of its Special Attacking skills in this build. When looking at Lurantis's Individual Values, give it max HP and max Special Attack. Trainers should also invest 252 points of Effort Values into both HP and Special Attack, giving it more longevity and power. For Lurantis's preferred Nature, Modest gives an extra Special Attack boost while lowering its physical Attack. Players can get a Nature Mint in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet from Chansey Supply Stores if its nature isn't already Modest. Best Ability and Moves for Lurantis Best Moves For Lurantis Best Ability Sunny Day, Leaf Storm, Synthesis, Solar Beam Contrary Lurantis for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids should always be given its Hidden Ability Contrary. According to the Pokémon Database, "Contrary makes stat changes have an opposite effect," which is very useful for moves such as Leaf Storm, which lowers the user's Special Attack. In fact, Leaf Storm is one of Lurantis's best moves, and with Contrary continues to get stronger with usage. Additionally, with Lurantis having access to Sunny Day and Solar Beam, after using Leaf Storm many times to boost its stat, it wrecks opponents with this ultimate move. Items for Lurantis Best Held Items Shell Bell or Heat Rock The best-held items for Lurantis during a Tera Raid either heal it or situationally helps it. The first preferred held item is Pokémon Scarlet Violet 's Shell Bell. Depending on how much damage Lurantis does against an opponent, it returns approximately an eighth of that damage back as healing. With a strong move like Leaf Storm or Solar Beam, Lurantis will be able to restore its health in no time while attacking a Tera Raid Den Pokémon. The second item to give Lurantis is a Heat Rock to keep its Sunny Day field effect shining for three extra turns. This gives it more opportunities to send a Solar Beam toward its foe, succeeding as a strong Pokémon for Tera Raids. While no official announcement of who the next actor to play the iconic spy James Bond will be, actor Taron Egerton believes the role has already been decided and cast. Speaking to Total Film magazine for its latest issue, Egerton — who has been linked to the role for a couple of months now — said that he actually had never been a part of any conversations, nor had he ever met with producer Barbara Broccoli. In fact, Egerton said, he thinks the role had already been figured out. “Yeah. I mean, I think they’ve already got someone, and it’s not me,” said Egerton. “Yeah. I mean, I’ve never been a part of the conversations. I’ve never met the Broccolis. They’ve never enquired about me. I’ve just never been one of the guys that they’re looking at. I just don’t think I’m the right person for that. I think there’s much, much, much better candidates for that role than me. But, you know, I’d be a very willing audience member. They’re brilliant films.” Currently, it’s unknown just who will play the coveted role of James Bond. However, do we know some things about what the next actor to step into the franchise will be like. Last year, producer Michael G. Wilson said that younger actors likely wouldn’t be considered. Earlier this year, actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson was worried to be “too famous” for the role after he had a meeting with Broccoli about potentially playing the character, suggesting that the producers behind the 007 franchise are looking for a more unknown person to play the role. Whoever does end up playing Bond will have big shoes to fill, but fans won’t likely see a movie for some time. Last year, Broccoli noted that a new film was “at least two years away,” due to the fact that a James Bond had to be cast, and a new film had to be written as well. “There isn’t a script, and we can’t come up with one until we decide how we’re going to approach the next film because, really, it’s a reinvention of Bond,” said Broccoli. “We’re reinventing who he is, and that takes time. I’d say that filming is at least two years away.”

Was the term “sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll” meant to suggest an order of preference?
In Daisy Jones The Six , Prime Video’s glossy miniseries adaptation of author Taylor Jenkins Reid’s bestselling novel, Riley Keough stars as Daisy Jones, the red-headed wild-child of the 1970s Sunset Strip. She has an ear for music and a mind for song-writing. But she also has a nose for drugs.
Daisy’s kinetic energy with Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin), the lead singer and mastermind of rising folk-rock band The Six, would mean that there’s an obvious answer to a will-they-or-won’t-they when they partner on a new album — if it weren’t that Billy is married to photographer Camila (Camila Morrone). Told in a docu-style narrative, we learn early on that Daisy Jones The Six made the hit album Aurora — known for such bangers as “Regret Me,” “Kill You to Try,” and “Let Me Down Easy” — before they (seemingly) suddenly disband after a sold-out concert at Chicago’s Soldier Field.
Showrunner Will Graham said the idea is to make the experience feel relatable.
“It’s not ‘cool’; we’re not saying like look at these amazing rock stars,” he said. “We’re saying step in with these people and be part of the ride.” He added that, in capturing the spirit of the novel, the message of this dysfunctional family is that “it was complicated, but it was worth it. And look what we did and look what we made and people are still singing the songs.”
Director and executive producer James Ponsoldt equated it to “making a really big cinematic home movie about people making something together.”
But what did it take to get the band together? We asked the cast and producers. Daisy Billy (Photo by Lacey Terrell/Prime Video)
Keough told Rotten Tomatoes that the first time she felt a Daisy-Billy bond with Claflin was when he auditioned for the part. She’d already been cast and she remembered looking at him and “in that audition, I remember thinking ‘that’s Billy’ in the room.” In a very Daisy move, when Claflin momentarily forgot his lines, Keough said she shoved him out from behind a curtain “and was like, ‘You got this!'”
For Claflin, that moment didn’t come until the fifth episode. That’s when the characters are working together on the album’s titular song, “Aurora” away from the rest of the band, and he said that “not only were we getting to know the characters, and the relationship between the characters, but actually get to know each other as actors.”
Casting Keough seemed almost too much like a no-brainer. The actress is, famously, Elvis Presley’s granddaughter. But her appearance even resembles that of the fictional Daisy, who is described in the book as having thick and wavy copper-red hair and dark blue eyes.
“She had read the novel, and she said, ‘I need to play this part. I was born to play this part,’ and all we have to do is sit back and be like, ‘Great,'” executive producer and co-creator Scott Neustadtersaid. (Photo by Lacey Terrell/Prime Video)
The art-imitating-life-imitating-art situation will probably happen again thanks to work of costume designer Denise Wingate and her team. In the book, Daisy is a fashion It girl who is gifted Halston gowns at her Chateau Marmont bungalow and is known to accessorize with earrings and sleeves of bangle bracelets. A pivotal episode of this limited series features Keough looking carefree in vibrant caftans — one of many designs that will probably start fashion trends.
“I’ve always felt that everything in the ’70s was more beautiful: fashion, cars, architecture, music,” Keough said. “So it was really a dream to get to exist in that place and get to drive these cars and wear the clothes.”
Other characters’ costumes might not hold up as well. The book frequently mentions Billy’s penchant for a “Canadian tuxedo” of denim shirts pair...

Hollywood is slowly starting to adapt more and more hit video games into movies and TV shows (like The Last of Us and the upcoming Fallout), and these adaptations are starting to fare better both at the box office and critically. It wasn’t that long ago, however, that every video game movie ever made had a Rotten Tomatometer score. That streak wasn’t broken until 2019, when Pokémon Detective Pikachu earned a 68% Fresh score, ushering in a new era for the genre. Legendary Entertainment actually started development on a Detective Pikachu sequel pretty quickly in 2019, but there hasn’t been much talk about it since, until this week. Legendary has hired Portlandia (Fresh at 94%) co-creator Jonathan Krisel to direct their Pokemon Detective Pikachu sequel, working from a screenplay by screenwriter Chris Galletta ( The Kings of Summer ). Krisel is also attached to direct Anne Hathaway’s long-in-development Sesame Street movie. Legendary Entertainment and The Pokemon Company have not yet announced what new characters or video game premises might be used for the sequel. Other Top Headlines 1. SLASHER VIDEO GAME DEAD BY DAYLIGHT TO STALK THE CINEMA (Photo by Behaviour Interactive)
An increasingly popular video game genre in recent years is the “co-op survival horror game,” in which a group of players attempt to survive being chased by a slasher or a type of monster who is controlled by another player. Horror franchises like Friday the 13th and Evil Dead have been adapted as these sorts of games, but the most popular game is probably the 2016 horror game Dead by Daylight . It’s also worth noting that video game publisher Behaviour Interactive has made a series of licensing deals with existing horror franchises allowing for players to take on popular characters from Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, Stranger Things, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Now, the video game that is deeply influenced by scary movies will become one itself, as Blumhouse and Atomic Monster, the production companies that recently partnered on M3GAN (Certified Fresh at 93%), have made a deal for the film rights to Dead by Daylight. This will not be Blumhouse’s first horror video game adaptation, as the company is also now in the midst of production on the long-in-development adaptation of the scary animatronics of Five Nights at Freddy’s . 2. JOHN CENA, AWKWAFINA, AND SIMU LIU TO PLAY GRAND DEATH LOTTO (Photo by NBC, Jamie McCarthy, Steve Granitz/Getty Images)
In the 2021 Marvel Studios adventure, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (Certified Fresh at 91%), Simu Liu starred as the title superhero and Awkwafina played his best friend and sidekick. We’re still waiting on an official announcement about a Shang Chi sequel (though Simu Liu has been hinting one may come soon), but Awkwafina and Liu will be reuniting before that in an action comedy along with John Cena, the star of DC Comics’ The Suicide Squad (Certified Fresh at 90%) and Peacemaker (Fresh at 94%). Cena, Liu, and Awkwafina will co-star together in Grand Death Lotto, an action comedy “set in a near-future California where the lottery has a new provision: If someone kills the announced winner before sundown, they can legally claim their prize.” The Amazon Studios comedy will be directed by Paul Feig, who is well known for Bridesmaids (Certified Fresh at 89%) and the 2016 reboot of Ghostbusters (Certified Fresh at 73%). Awkwafina will play someone new to Los Angeles who accidentally wins the lottery, with Cena and...

Movieis directed by Horvath and Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!) from a screenplay written byMinions: The Rise of Gruscribe Matthew Fogel. It is produced by Chris Meledandri for Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto for Nintendo. Guy Ritchie: Sherlock Holmes 3 Is All Up to Robert Downey Jr.
A third film in Guy Ritchie‘s Sherlock Holmes series has been rumored for some time, but according to the director, everything is now up in the hands of star Robert Downey Jr. Speaking to Collider, Ritchie — who directed 2009’s Sherlock Holmes and the 2011 follow-up Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows — said that Downey Jr. wanted to be in charge of a third film, and so as of now, things are in his hands. “Well, honestly, I left this up to Robert,” revealed Ritchie. “So Robert wanted to be in charge of this. The ball’s in his court, so he’s in charge of the script, he’s in charge of the whole thing. I’ve moonwalked out of that until there’s a time for me to get involved.” The future of the Sherlock Holmes franchise has been one clouded with mystery for some time. In April 2022, a report from Variety noted that HBO Max was developing two television series tied to the films, with Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan, executive producing them. However, it’s unclear whether or not those projects continue to be in development. A third feature film in the franchise has also been in the works for more than 10 years now, with the film even originally set for release in 2021 at one point. The film was rumored to see Downey Jr. and Jude Law return as Sherlock and Dr. John Watson, respectively, although it’s unknown whether or not any more progress has been made in the development of that film.

King Charles is still mad that Prince Harry spoke honestly about Camilla
Before Prince Harry's Spare was published, royal sources often complained to British tabloids that Prince Charles was worried about Harry writing horrible things about Camilla. I can remember thinking, "Harry's going to write some screed on that horrid lady." That is something I have to admit. Spare was more difficult on Camilla than I thought. Charles was also easier for Spare than I thought. Harry was able to show empathy and love for Charles throughout the book. It was clear, however that Charles was a deeply neglectful father. Harry, on the other hand, wrote that Camilla "left bodies in street" along her journey to the crown. Harry also stated outright that Camilla had always leaked information about the Windsors and that she has gotten better coverage by cozieing up to media figures. Buckingham Palace deserves congratulations, as they are using that reason to expel Charles from Frogmore. After learning about the Duke's attack on Camilla, King Charles decided that Harry and Meghan would be moved to the UK. According to legend, the monarch believed that his son had "crossed an line". Sources claim that the King was furious at Harry's allegations, such as the one that Camilla was responsible of leaking news stories to the media. In TV interviews, the Duke also called the Queen Consort "the villain" while promoting his memoir, Spare. After being given a dossier of information by his aides, Charles immediately took decisive action. On January 11, 2011, Charles began the process of eviction from Frogmore Cottage, a five-bedroom cottage on the Windsor estate. This was the same day that the memoir was published. According to royal insiders, the revelations have caused irreparable damage Harry's relationship with Prince William and his father. Harry expressed his fear that Camilla would become a "wicked Stepmother". According to the Prince, he and William begged their father not marry Camilla. The Duke of Sussex admitted that he only wanted Camilla happy to make her less "dangerous." Harry said that she was the villain in a television interview. She was the third spouse in their marriage. She had to restore her image. According to royal sources, the King was upset by the accusation that Camilla planned to marry him. Harry stated in the book that "shortly after our private discussions with her, she started to develop her long term strategy, a campaign directed towards marriage and...the Crown (with blessing from our father, )... Stories began appearing in all the newspapers concerning her conversations with Willy. These stories recounted many small details which none of them had received from my brother." Insiders said that it was the final straw. Harry knew Camilla was a red line for his dad and crossed it with flagrant disregard. It was an act of disrespect that the King felt it had crossed. [From The Daily Mirror] Here's the story again about Charles not even bothering to read Spare. It would be reasonable to assume that one of the family would read Spare, given all the outrage and agita surrounding Harry "ripping his family apart". Instead of relying on their aides for Cliffs Notes, Charles would be surprised at how much Harry still loves Harry, I believe. While Harry was honest in his assessment of Camilla's machinations, Harry is likely to have pulled his punches over a lot of Camilla's actions and words throughout the years. Charles should be thankful Harry didn't make it harder on them both. Charles, however, keeps...proving that Harry is correct in everything he has written and said. Photos courtesy Avalon Red, Instar.

Battleground Baltimore: The violence and evictions of the police
Last weekend, the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) tweeted out a series of photos of its officers and commanders participating in the beloved anti-violence event Baltimore Ceasefire. A little more than a day after celebrating Baltimore Ceasefire and boasting of its dedication to “community policing,” the BPD shot and killed someone.
His name was Marcus Martin, he was 40 years old, and at around 3:00AM on Monday, Aug. 9, Officer Jeffery Archambault of SWAT shot him. A cousin of Martin’s widow took to Twitter to ask why it happened the way it did.
“I’m still at loss as to why @BaltimorePolice responded with a swat team. A mental health crisis is a mental health crisis regardless of whether the individual has a weapon or not,” the cousin of Martin’s widow tweeted.
According to police, BPD were called to the home around 9:00PM on Sunday because of an assault. There were people inside the home along with Martin, and they told police Martin had assaulted them and that he was armed. When police arrived, they were able to leave the home which left Martin alone with a shotgun, his house surrounded by cops. Days earlier, Martin had lost his job.
The initial call to police was for an assault, and therefore it was not diverted to mental health professionals. BPD’s own “crisis response team” was also not present because it only operates between the hours of 11:00AM and 7:00PM.
Over the next six hours, police remained outside of the home. Police said Martin shot at them: “Shortly after 3:00AM, the individual came to the door and fired his weapon. At that point, I can confirm that at least one officer returned fire, striking the individual one of our SWAT medics provided aid to the individual who was later pronounced deceased,” Deputy Commissioner Sheree Briscoe said during a press conference.
Martin’s family, however, suggested that he fired when police attempted to enter the home. A GoFundMe set up by Martin’s daughter to help with funeral costs also provides the family’s version of what happened. “THERE WAS NO HOSTAGE SITUATION NOR DID HE SHOOT IN THE DOORWAY!,” the GoFundMe reads, explaining that Martin fired at a SWAT robot sent into the home. “THEY BUSTED THE DOOR DOWN AND SENT THE ROBOT WHICH HE THEN SHOT THE ROBOT AND THEY OPENED ARMS ON HIM. THE NEWS IS A LIE!”
The language deployed by BPD is worth noting because local news was quick to run the police version of events. The shooting was described by police as an “officer-involved shooting,” a phrase that obfuscates the plain facts (police shot someone) and is regularly repeated by reporters. Martin’s shooting by police was the result, local news channel WBAL wrote, of “Martin discharg[ing] a shotgun in response to SWAT measures.” Those “SWAT measures” were not described further. The police and many news outlets also described the incident as Martin experiencing a “behavioral crisis,” something that the cousin of Martin’s wife criticized on Twitter.
“The media is misreporting this as a ‘behavioral’ crisis rather than a ‘mental health’ one to justify the fact that my cousin’s husband was murdered by a swat team after they were asked to send a mental health specialist in the midst of his mental breakdown,” he tweeted.
