First Sign of a Magnesium Deficiency NEVER to Ignore
Don't ignore this early sign of magnesium deficiency—plus 21 other important early signs!
0:00 Introduction: Important signs and symptoms of magnesium deficiency
0:59 What causes magnesium deficiency?
2:10 Foods high in magnesium
3:56 Signs of a magnesium deficiency
4:59 The earliest sign of a magnesium deficiency
Today, I’m going to share 22 signs of a magnesium deficiency. Sixty percent of magnesium is in the bone, 20% is in the muscle, 19% is in the soft tissue, and 1% is in the blood.
Magnesium deficiency is the most overlooked deficiency because it cannot be detected by a blood test.
The top causes of magnesium deficiency include:
• Consumption of sugar and refined carbs
• Alcohol consumption
• Cirrhosis of the liver
• NPK fertilizer leads to crops that are low in magnesium
• Malabsorption from gut inflammation
• Diuretics
• PPIs
• Gastric bypass surgery
• Low vitamin D
• Inflammation
Diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, osteoporosis, and cardiovascular disease are all associated with low magnesium.
The best sources of magnesium are leafy greens, almonds, and dark chocolate, but some of these foods contain oxalates. Oxalates block the absorption of magnesium. Meat, cheese, and shellfish contain magnesium and do not contain oxalates.
Here are 22 surprising signs of magnesium deficiency:
• Anxiety
• Insomnia
• Depression
• Migraines
• Restless legs syndrome
• Muscle cramps
• Fatigue
• Tourette's syndrome
• Oxidative cholesterol
• High homocysteine levels
• High blood pressure
• Calcification of the arteries
• Arrhythmias
• Stroke
• Metabolic syndrome
• Polycystic ovarian syndrome
• Kidney stones
• Higher levels of calcium in the blood
• Inflammation
• Nystagmus
• Asthma
Neuromuscular excitability, or tetany, is the number 1 earliest sign of a magnesium deficiency. Tetany is a twitching of the muscles, often affecting the left eye.
Magnesium is required for proper nerve function. When you’re deficient, the nerves become more excited, leading to faster nerve impulses.

12:15 Periodic prolonged fasting
17:25 Fasting for women
18:14 Is fasting the same as starvation?
21:00 Find out what to drink when fasting!
Today, we’re going to examine the amazing benefits of fasting. Not only is fasting the most powerful thing you can do for weight loss, but it’s also an effective natural remedy for countless health conditions. Fasting addresses the deeper root causes of many health problems: insulin resistance and mitochondrial damage.
Intermittent fasting activates growth hormone and lowers insulin, allowing you to tap into your fat cells. If insulin is high, fat can not be utilized for energy.
One of the best indicators that intermittent fasting is working is that your appetite will go away. Fasting also offers cognitive benefits. It eliminates brain fog and improves focus, concentration, and memory. It also elevates your mood and improves the immune system.
Fasting is not starving! Your stored body fat provides energy while you’re not eating. The average person has over 100,000 calories of stored energy in their fat cells.
Prolonged fasting involves fasting for a couple of days or longer. Prolonged fasting helps generate stem cells for your immune system. It also puts your body into autophagy—a state where it cleans up old damaged cells, recycling them into new cells.
Fasting repairs your metabolism—it doesn’t slow it down. It also gives the digestive system a chance to reset, resulting in less bloating and less inflammation in the gut.
Follow these steps to start intermittent fasting:
1. Go on a low-carb diet and eliminate snacks
2. Gradually push back your breakfast until your first meal is around lunch-time
3. Establish an intermittent fasting routine that allows for at least 18 hours of fasting
Once you’ve established an intermittent fasting routine, periodic prolonged fasting can increase benefits.

The Real Reason Why You Should Take Cod Liver Oil - Dr. Berg
Learn about the amazing benefits of cod liver oil, a superfood rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin A, and vitamin D.
Dr. Weston Price Book Link: https://www.amazon.com/Nutrition-Physical-Degeneration-Weston-Price/dp/0916764206
0:00 Introduction: Why take cod liver oil?
0:15 Health benefits of cod liver oil
1:01 Cod liver oil vs. fish oil
3:03 Vitamin A and cod liver oil
4:35 Cod liver oil and vitamin D
5:23 Learn more about vitamin K2!
In this video, we’re going to talk about the health benefits of cod liver oil. Cod liver oil is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA. EPA has potent anti-inflammatory properties, while DHA supports cognitive function. Cod liver oil is also rich in vitamin A and vitamin D.
Don’t confuse cod liver oil with fish oil! You would need 12,000 mg of fish oil to equal just one tablespoon of cod liver oil.
You can not get vitamin A from fruits and vegetables. Beta-carotene is only a precursor to vitamin A, not the active form. Cod liver oil contains retinol, the active form of vitamin A.
The most common autoimmune disease is Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism. There’s a significant link between vitamin A deficiency and hypothyroidism.
There are vitamin A receptors inside of your white blood cells, so it’s crucial for immunity! Vitamin A also helps to regulate iodine.
Vitamin A supports the mucus membranes of your mouth, sinuses, throat, and lungs, so it’s critical in preventing infections. It also supports the roots of the microvilli on the inside of your intestinal tract.
Vitamin A supports the health of your retina. If you’re deficient in retinol (the active form of vitamin A), you can go blind.
Cod liver oil is also a good source of vitamin D. Without vitamin D, you can't pull calcium and magnesium into the body.
Beans, legumes, grains, and cereals are very high in phytic acid, which increases the need for vitamin D. If your diet is high in these foods, it’s easy to become deficient in vitamin D.

Build up Your Glutathione without Supplements
Learn about the important antioxidant glutathione and discover 10 ways to make sure that you’re getting enough.
0:00 Introduction: What is glutathione?
1:00 Symptoms of a glutathione deficiency
1:13 Glutathione deficiency causes
3:05 How to get enough glutathione without a supplement
7:30 Check out my video about the antioxidant melatonin!
In this video, we’re going to talk about the antioxidant glutathione. Glutathione is an important antioxidant present in all of your cells. It helps detoxify heavy metals and protects against free radical damage and oxidation.
Your body makes glutathione! You should only take a supplement if you have Tylenol poisoning. Tylenol depletes glutathione and puts your liver at risk for damage. If you’re dealing with Tylenol poisoning, you may be given an NAC supplement, a precursor to help build up your glutathione.
Glutathione deficiency symptoms include the following:
• Trouble sleeping
• Brain fog
• Fatigue
• Mood issues
• Depression
• Anxiety
Top causes of glutathione deficiency:
• Alcohol
• Low-calorie diets
• Overtraining
• Vegan diets
• Low-protein intake
• A mutation of the MTHFR gene
• Folic acid supplements
Try the following tips to ensure that you’re getting enough glutathione without taking a supplement:
1. Get enough glycine. Consume organ meats, the skin from meat and fish, bone broth, and gelatin.
2. Ensure adequate B vitamin intake. Avoid synthetic B vitamins. Meat is a great source of B12 and consuming organ meats and dark leafy greens will help add folate to your diet.
3. Get plenty of vitamin C from sources like sauerkraut and leafy greens.
4. Get enough sleep.
5. Do not over-exercise. Limit high-intensity exercise to twice a week.
6. Reduce stress. Adaptogens, going for a walk, listening to music, and even physical labor can reduce stress.
7. Consume sufficient protein with plenty of calories.
8. Increase carb intake to 50 grams per day.
9. Consume cruciferous vegetables.
10. Consume seafood for trace minerals like zinc and selenium.

Today, I want to share an interesting home remedy that can potentially lower your risk of hypertension.
Many people with high blood pressure are told to reduce their sodium intake. However, a deficiency in sodium can lead to high blood pressure. A low-salt diet can actually worsen your blood pressure.
In my opinion, potassium is one of the key factors in restoring healthy blood pressure levels. Not decreasing sodium—just increasing potassium.
Vitamin D is also important for someone with hypertension, especially essential hypertension.
Insulin resistance is at the heart of metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is a combination of hypertension, high blood glucose, fatty liver disease, and high cholesterol. It’s crucial to go on a low-carb diet to support healthy blood pressure levels.
Natural alternatives for hypertension:
1. Consume more potassium (vegetables)
2. Go on a low-carb diet
3. Take vitamin D or get more sun
You can also try an incredible and simple breathing technique to help lower your blood pressure fast. This technique is called paced breathing.
Take six complete breaths per minute. Slowly breathe through your nose using your chest, inhale for five seconds, and exhale for five seconds. Do this periodically throughout the day.
Other potential benefits of paced breathing:
• It can help increase oxygen saturation
• It can help increase exercise tolerance
• It can help decrease sympathetic overdrive

In this video, we’re going to talk about some of the new data surrounding eggs and their role in heart disease. Out of ten recent studies on eggs and heart disease, all of the studies were observational, and all but two of the studies were self-reported.
Studies that require people to recall everything that they’ve eaten over a period of time are generally inaccurate. People often forget what they’ve eaten and focus on the positive things they can remember eating rather than reporting the negative.
Questionnaires do not prove causation. There was also a conflict of interest in many of these studies.
Eggs are one of the most nutrient-dense foods you can consume. The egg yolk contains almost every nutrient except vitamin C.
Egg yolks from pasture-raised eggs are an excellent source of the following:
•Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12
•The active form of vitamin A (retinol)
•Vitamin E
•Vitamin K2
•Vitamin D
•Omega-3 fatty acids
•Potassium, magnesium, and selenium
Eggs are the best source of protein next to human breast milk and are one of the best sources of choline.
Egg yolks promote healthy levels of cholesterol. They can increase HDL cholesterol and can increase the size of your LDL cholesterol. Egg yolks are the perfect combination of protein and fat and can help reduce insulin resistance.
Egg yolks contain lutein and zeaxanthin—carotenoids that are most commonly found in vegetables. These carotenoids are more bioavailable in eggs and help protect the eye from macular degeneration and cataracts. They also protect the endothelial tissue inside of your arteries.
Eggs don't cause heart problems—they help with heart problems!

TOP Counterintuitive Health Tips That Are Deadly Effective
You cannot create health without stress! Learn more and discover other important counterintuitive health concepts.
DATA:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4571149/
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2635914/
0:00 Introduction: Stress and health
0:20 What is hormesis?
1:14 Examples of hormesis
7:52 Check out my #1 exercise hack!
In this video, we’re going to talk about the concept of hormesis. Hormesis describes two things that might oppose each other. In terms of health, hormesis refers to a controlled dose of stress that makes positive changes for your body.
With hormesis, you can adapt to various types of stress, including exercise, radiation, cold, heat, hypoxia, plant chemicals, pesticides, insecticides, and fungicides.
Sulforaphane found in broccoli sprouts and radish sprouts triggers the heat shock protein that allows the body to strengthen its detoxification enzymes. In this instance, the body is exposed to a small amount of poison that strengthens its ability to get rid of other poisons.
The liver contains phase 1 and phase 2 detoxification enzymes that can take a poison and turn it into a harmless particle. Sulforaphane triggers this system.
Exercise is one of the best examples of hormesis. Exercise induces microinflammation but then allows the body to get rid of inflammation.
Fasting activates the body’s mechanisms that counter starvation. It encourages our brain cells to grow, increases mitochondria, and regenerates the immune system.
Health is often counterintuitive. For example, cutting fat won’t help you lose fat, and sterilizing your environment won’t protect you from getting sick.
You can’t develop a strong immune system without getting sick. Antibiotics destroy good bacteria in the body, which can lead to pathogen overgrowth. Antacids can lead to more heartburn because you need more acid to get rid of heartburn.
When you don't expose yourself to the sun, you put yourself more at risk for certain types of cancers. Many people have been told that the sun causes cancer, but the sun gives us vitamin D. Having a deficiency in vitamin D can increase your risk for cancer.
One last example is dieting. The more dieting you do in your lifetime, the more weight you will gain—especially if you’re doing it incorrectly.

13:55 Learn more about potassium!
I want to clear up some confusion about electrolyte powder and explain why it’s so beneficial.
Electrolytes are electrically charged minerals. One of the main purposes of electrolytes is to power the nervous system, which powers the muscles and organs.
Electrolytes are responsible for important functions in the body, including:
• Nerve transmission
• Muscle contraction
• Fluid movement (hydration)
• pH
• Energy
Electrolyte deficiency can impact the body in many different ways. Side effects of electrolyte deficiency can include:
• Weakness
• Fatigue
• Brain fog
• Dehydration
• Palpitations
• Dizziness
• Cramps (especially at night)
Top causes of electrolyte deficiency:
• Consumption of refined carbs or sugar
• Diuretics
• Stress
• MSG
• Excess water consumption
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Diabetes
• Sweating
Generally, two types of electrolytes are available: sport and regular. My Sports Hydration Electrolytes, for example, contain a different balance of potassium and sodium than my regular Electrolyte Powder.
This is because when you exercise and sweat, you need more sodium. It wouldn’t be a problem if you took my regular Electrolyte Powder while exercising, but you must take extra sea salt during the day.
Sodium and potassium are two vital electrolytes for the body, and it’s crucial to have them in the correct balance. The daily requirement for potassium is 4700 mg, which can be challenging to get from the diet alone.
You need to consume at least seven to ten cups of salad daily to get the potassium you need. This is why many people choose to enhance their diet with electrolyte powder.
If we look closer at different electrolyte powders, mine has more potassium and sodium by far. Other top brands only contain three electrolytes and insane amounts of sugar.
Compared to Dr. Berg Sports Hydration Electrolytes, which contain five electrolytes in much higher amounts, with trace minerals and zero sugar. It has organic stevia, natural flavoring, and no hidden maltodextrin.

Plant-Based Meat Scam
Watch this video to learn the truth about plant-based meats in comparison to real meat and how they affect our health and the environment.
0:00 Introduction: Understanding the plant-based meat scam
0:26 The truth about red meat
0:46 What’s in plant-based meat?
1:36 How plant-based meat affects health
2:35 How beef affects the environment
4:45 What happens if we all become vegetarians?
5:30 Understanding methane
It's no secret that plant-based meats have been marketed as healthier and more environmentally friendly alternatives to real meat. However, these claims are not entirely accurate.
While plant-based meats contain some nutrients, they simply can’t compare to those found in real meat, such as protein, B vitamins, iron, selenium, and zinc. Plant-based meats may try to replicate these nutrients through added chemicals and synthetic ingredients, but they can never match the natural composition of real meat.
The production process of plant-based meats involves using chemicals and additives that may pose health risks. For example, the Impossible Burger contains yeast that creates a synthetic version of the blood protein heme from soy. This ingredient is classified as a color additive and hasn't been thoroughly tested for safety.
Regarding environmental impact, plant-based meats are often touted as a more sustainable option than real meat. However, they require a lot of resources to produce, including water and land. If we look at California almonds, they use ten times more fresh water than cattle.
On the other hand, real meat production uses resources that would otherwise be wasted. For instance, 85 percent of livestock feed comes from non-human edible materials, including corn stalks, beet pulp, and soybean plants.
Cows play a crucial role in maintaining the health of our land. They can graze on terrain unsuitable for growing crops, and their manure is a natural fertilizer for plants. Removing cows from the equation would negatively impact our food production system. One of the main arguments against real meat is the methane emissions from livestock. When looking at the big picture, these emissions are roughly 2.7 percent, which isn’t significant enough to make a real difference.
These emissions are also part of a natural cycle. Plants absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store it in the soil, which is then consumed by livestock and released as methane. This methane eventually breaks down to become carbon dioxide again, completing the cycle.

Let’s talk about how to fix the adrenal body type.
Your adrenals help adapt the body to stress—they have a lot to do with fight or flight. However, this system is meant to deal with short-term physical stress, not the chronic mental stress many people undergo now.
Trauma, chronic stress, or even surgery can lead to adrenal dysfunction. Adrenal dysfunction is also known as adrenal fatigue, adrenal burnout, or adrenal stress.
Top symptoms of adrenal fatigue or the adrenal body type:
• Low-stress tolerance
• Overthinking (especially at night)
• High blood sugar
• High cholesterol
• Fat in the liver and visceral organs
• Gastritis
• High blood pressure
• High pulse rate
• Asthma
• Inflammation
• Calcium deficiency
• Potassium deficiency
• Sodium deficiency
• Vitamin D deficiency
• Memory loss
• Brain fog
• Getting out of breath while climbing stairs
• Salt cravings
The best nutrients for adrenal burnout:
• Vitamin C (sauerkraut, bell peppers, leafy green vegetables, lemons, limes, and berries)
• Potassium (large salads)
• Sodium (sea salt)
• Vitamin B1 (unfortified nutritional yeast)
How to fix adrenal fatigue:
1. Decrease stress
2. Get on the keto diet with higher amounts of high-quality protein and nutrients that are good for adrenal fatigue
3. Exercise (high-intensity exercise and long walks)
4. Take adaptogens (ashwagandha)

Best Nutrients to Remove Plaque from Arteries

2:13 LDL, HDL, and triglycerides
4:08 How to determine which type of LDL you have
4:49 Which nutrients clean your arteries naturally?
7:17 Check out my video about the best meal to clean out your arteries!
In this video, I'm going to share what you can do to help remove plaque from your arteries naturally. Plaque is made of cholesterol, calcium, and protein. These 3 ingredients form a band-aid if you have inflammation or other issues on the inside of your artery.
There are 2 types of plaque: soft plaque (unstable, dangerous) and hard plaque (calcified, stable, less dangerous). Soft plaque is 4 times as common as calcified plaque!
A CAC test gives you a score of how much plaque you have in your arteries. This test primarily detects calcified plaque, so the score usually won’t reflect soft plaque.
The CAC paradox is a phenomenon that occurs after you clean up your diet and get healthy, but your CAC score rises. This doesn't mean your plaque is getting worse. It means that some of your soft plaque has stabilized and become hard plaque.
Soft plaque is associated with glycation and more oxidation of the LDL. There are 2 types of LDL: small-dense pathogenic LDL and large-buoyant non-pathogenic LDL.
Myeloperoxidase and Lp-PLA2 both signify soft plaque on a blood test. An ultrasound can also detect soft plaque.
Higher HDL can help clean up pathogenic bad LDL. You also want to keep your triglycerides low. High triglycerides can signify that your diet is too high in carbs. You may want to request to test your lipoprotein insulin resistance. This factor is associated with cardiovascular atherosclerosis more than any other.
Here’s how to determine whether you have small dense LDL or large buoyant LDL. Divide the LDL by ApoB—the part of the lipoprotein that indicates the number of particles. You want your result to be greater than 1.2. This indicates large buoyant LDL.
The following nutrients may help remove arterial plaque buildup naturally:
1. Pycnogenol–150 mg
2. Gotu Kola–450 mg
3. Vitamin K2–Life Extension Mega K2
4. Nattokinase
5. Niacin
Vitamin K2 is the most potent inhibitor of vascular calcification. Tocotrienols, berberine, aged garlic, magnesium, potassium, and vitamin D also help to clean out plaque naturally.

7:09 Hydroxychloroquine
10:18 Zinc
Today we’re going to talk about the coronavirus and ventilators. Could ventilators for COVID-19 do more harm than good?
A ventilator is a machine that breathes for you. It uses forced air and oxygen. New York officials have said that at least 80% of COVID-19 patients in the city who were on a ventilator died.
If someone becomes critically ill with COVID-19, they are typically sedated and put on a ventilator. This is because this coronavirus targets the lungs, and it becomes more and more difficult to breathe. But, the problem could be that in severe cases, the lung is so fragile that adding more pressure to the lung could create more damage to the lung.
It could be that this condition is less like pneumonia or ARDS and is more like high altitude sickness. It’s possible that the pressure that the ventilators are giving in this situation is too high. One doctor who is treating patients with COVID-19 in New York believes that the pressure in the ventilators used for COVID-19 needs to be turned down, and the oxygen needs to be increased.
New research regarding COVID-19 suggests that this coronavirus attacks hemoglobin. The red blood cell carries oxygen in the form of hemoglobin. If the patient loses the iron in the heme, they won’t be able to carry oxygen. The patient will starve of oxygen.
The other problem is that now the free iron can leak through the body going into the lung and creating a severe oxidation reaction.
Hydroxychloroquine:
• Could block hemoglobin catabolism
• Can suppress the innate immune system
• It has been used for malaria, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis
*Hydroxychloroquine may work best when combined with zinc.

Is Bill Gates' Apeel Really Safe?
A Google search might tell you that Apeel is safe and thoroughly fact-checked, but is Bill Gates’ Apeel coating safe? Find out in this video.
0:00 Introduction: Is Bill Gates’ Apeel safe?
0:20 Apeel ingredients
0:44 Problems with Apeel
2:18 Trans fats and the FDA
2:50 What's the purpose of Apeel coating on produce?
In this video, we’re going to talk about Bill Gates’ new product, Apeel, which is used to make fresh produce last longer. Of the ingredients in Apeel, 99.34 percent are listed as “other ingredients,” which is a red flag because of the lack of transparency.
We know that Apeel contains monoglycerides and diglycerides—emulsifiers, which help mix things together. Apeel also contains solvents and heavy metals, including palladium, cadmium, lead, mercury, and arsenic! Manufacturers claim these metals are safe in small amounts, but there is no data about chronic consumption over time. Apeel also contains polyethylene glycol, a compound found in antifreeze.
Apeel could be a partially hydrogenated product. The FDA has banned trans fats, but loopholes still allow manufacturers to use them in their products.
If a product has less than .5 grams of trans fats, the FDA allows them to round it down to zero and not report the trans fats in the product. If a product is classified as an emulsifier, not a lipid or fat, it is exempt from the FDA’s ban on trans fats.
There is some controversy surrounding the function of the Apeel coating on produce. Is it a coating to keep food fresh or a fungicide? The EPA and the OMRI describe Apeel as a fungicide used after harvest, but Apeel is advertised as a protective coating.
There’s no way to remove the Apeel coating from your fresh produce, so it could potentially lock pesticides or pathogens inside. Think twice about buying fruits and vegetables that have this coating on them.

The Dark Side of Zinc for Hair Vital Tip for Hair Growth
If you’re experiencing hair loss or other problems with your hair, you might be consuming too much zinc. Learn more!
Check out Dr Berg's Zinc product with the blend of trace minerals. You can search in on amazon under Dr Berg's Trace Minerals or go to drberg.com. This product has not only zinc but copper as well in a blend of all trace minerals.
0:00 Introduction: The dark side of zinc
0:17 What is zinc?
0:35 Symptoms of zinc deficiency related to your hair
2:13 Symptoms of too much zinc related to your hair
3:15 Zinc dosage
3:35 Zinc toxicity symptoms
4:58 How much zinc do you need?
6:50 Learn more about zinc!
Let’s talk about the dark side of zinc. Zinc is one of the most important trace minerals for your hair. But having too much zinc can be just as damaging to your hair as zinc deficiency.
Zinc is a trace mineral, and it’s involved in over 300 different enzymes. Zinc is needed to support the growth of hair follicles. With low zinc, you could experience hair loss.
Zinc is also needed for collagen and keratin. If you're deficient in zinc, you could notice thin and brittle hair.
Having too much zinc can lead to copper deficiency. The more zinc you take, the more copper you need. Copper is also involved in hair growth, hair color, and the structural integrity of the hair.
The most zinc an adult could take without experiencing any side effects is roughly about 40 mg per day.
Symptoms of zinc toxicity can include:
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Decreased appetite
• Abdominal cramps
• Diarrhea
• Headaches
But, you may need even higher amounts of zinc short-term for certain health problems. The key is to make sure you always consume enough copper as well. The correct zinc-to-copper ratio is roughly ten to one.
It’s important to remember that when you consume foods high in zinc, your body only absorbs 20 to 40 percent of it. There are a lot of various things that decrease the absorption of zinc.
It’s important to avoid things that prevent the absorption of zinc and consume foods high in zinc. You may also want to consider a zinc supplement as well as make sure you're getting plenty of copper.

What to Do After Ozempic
Not sure what to do after coming off of Ozempic? Watch this video to learn the steps to maintain weight and health after Ozempic.
0:00 Introduction: Maintaining weight after Ozempic
0:15 What is Ozempic?
4:55 Negative effects of Ozempic
5:30 How to maintain weight after Ozempic
Understanding the benefits and drawbacks of Ozempic is crucial when considering how to manage your weight after stopping this medication.
As a GLP-1 Agonist, Ozempic mimics a hormone in your small intestine that helps regulate insulin levels, control appetite, and slow down gastric emptying. While this can aid in weight loss, it can also lead to adverse side effects.
These side effects may include:
• Nutrient deficiency
• Gastroparesis
• Constipation
• Gallbladder problems
• Thyroid tumors and cancer
To help maintain your weight after Ozempic, it’s crucial to make certain lifestyle changes, such as:
1. Follow a ketogenic diet to keep insulin levels low and promote fat-burning.
2. Do intermittent fasting to control appetite and improve hormone balance.
3. Incorporate weight training to build and preserve muscle mass.
Additionally, ensuring adequate protein intake is crucial for maintaining muscle mass, especially for those who have already lost a significant amount of muscle while on Ozempic. This can be achieved through consuming bioavailable proteins such as red meat, eggs, and fish.
Monitoring your hormone levels and ensuring proper cholesterol intake is also important, as cholesterol is a building block for many hormones, including testosterone and estrogen.

Let’s talk about the problems with using BMI (body mass index) as a weight or health measurement.
One of the biggest problems with BMI is that it doesn’t tell you how much fat you have versus muscle. It also can’t give you much of an idea of what's going on with your overall health.
Other common measurements:
• BMR (basal metabolic rate): Measures how fast you’re burning calories
• TDEE (total daily energy expenditure): Measures the quantity of energy being burned
• Keto calculator: Measures BMR and TDEE and can tell you how many calories and how many macronutrients you should consume in a day based on your BMR and TDEE
Many times, people look at how much weight they lose per week as a measurement of how healthy their metabolism is. However, this isn’t a good idea.
A big principle to consider is: get healthy to lose weight—don’t lose weight to get healthy. In the process of exercising and getting healthy, you’re going to gain muscle.
Muscle is heavier than fat. This means that some weeks you may not lose any weight, but your clothes are still going to feel more and more loose.
Instead of a BMI test, there are many other helpful tests you can do to help measure your overall health.
One of the best assessments of overall health is the metabolomic test. This test can look at your metabolic pathways in real-time. It can provide great data to help professionals understand what could happen down the road, so you can do something about it now.

Intermittent Water Drinking: DON'T Drink Until Thirsty
We’re told we need to drink often to stay hydrated. But is that really true?

Is it healthy to drink water all day long? Let’s talk about it.
Yes, we need water—I’m not against drinking water. But I think we need to rethink the concept of sipping on something constantly.
An interesting research paper suggests that thirst triggers oxytocin, the trust and love hormone. This is also a powerful stress-reducing hormone.
If you drink something all day long, you may not trigger oxytocin as much as if you waited until your body gave you signals of thirst.
We know the importance of eating intermittently, but what about drinking intermittently? We don’t want to reduce the quantity of water we drink, but what if we decrease the frequency we drink?
Drinking too much water can dilute your stomach acid and affect your digestion. It can also flush out electrolytes and lead to low sodium levels.
A sodium deficiency may cause fatigue, weakness, an increase in adrenaline, and many other health concerns. You need a combination of water and sodium in your diet to really hydrate your body.
I think we need to ask ourselves more often whether we’re actually thirsty or not. You may even find your stress goes down a bit if you don’t over-hydrate.

How to Go to Sleep within 60 Seconds
Check out these sleeping tips and discover a powerful technique to help you fall asleep within minutes!
0:00 Introduction: How to fall asleep fast!
0:11 Barriers to better sleep
2:59 Sleep technique to fall asleep fast
4:08 Check out my video on breathing!
In this video, I’m going to show you how to fall asleep fast with a simple sleep technique. First, let’s take a look at the reasons why you might be having trouble getting to sleep.
1. Overtraining or too much exercise causes the sympathetic nervous system to go up, keeping your adrenaline high and preventing sleep.
2. If your room is too hot, it can interfere with your sleep quality.
3. High carb consumption and stress deplete vitamin B1. Vitamin B1 is essential for the parasympathetic nervous system, so a deficiency will keep you up at night. Try taking vitamin B1 before bed for better sleep.
4. Too much caffeine is a common cause of poor sleep.
5. Poor gut health can inhibit good sleep. Kefir as a probiotic can help!
6. Insulin resistance inhibits the absorption of tryptophan, a precursor to melatonin. This can interfere with your ability to fall asleep fast.
7. Some people have trouble sleeping after being on keto or the carnivore diet for a long period of time. This is because their insulin is very low. Try having a cup of berries with your last meal to fix this problem.
8. Sodium deficiency can cause problems with your sleep. This can be caused by fasting, OMAD (one meal a day), or not adding enough sodium to your diet. Low sodium can cause your sympathetic nervous system to go up which can keep you from sleeping.
If you want to know how to fall asleep instantly, try this simple sleep technique! You’re going to breathe in a way that synchronizes your heartbeat and blood pressure to the rhythm of your breathing. This will help stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, inducing sleep very quickly.
Try practicing with a timer first! Breathe in for 5 ½ seconds and breathe out for 5 ½ seconds. This will give you about 5 ½ breaths per minute. When doing this technique, breathe through your nose, and within minutes you will fall asleep.

Breast Cancer in Men
Breast cancer in men is a trending situation, and we need to talk about it.
Video on Plastic Pollution: ▶️ https://youtu.be/52ufLL45oIs

0:00 Introduction: Breast cancer in men
0:20 Male breast cancer risk factors
2:37 Protective foods against estrogen
2:55 Share your success story!
Male breast cancer is becoming more common. 1 out of 100 breast cancer cases diagnosed in the United States involves men.
Risk factors for breast cancer in men:
1. Medications that involve estrogen
• For example, certain treatments for the prostate.
2. Radiation
• Radiation from x-rays or cat scans involving the breast tissue can increase your risk.
3. Cirrhosis of the liver
• This advanced scar tissue of the liver can cause your androgens to decrease and your estrogen to increase. A healthy liver is also needed to detoxify excess estrogen.
4. Alcohol
• Alcoholic beverages, like beer, can increase estrogen.
5. Being overweight
• Fatty tissue is like a magnet for estrogen.
6. Plastic chemicals
7. Soy
• If you consume non-certified organic soy, you’re being exposed to hexane, which is a neurotoxin. There are also other things in soy that can increase your estrogen levels. Soy can be found in many vegetarian foods, fake meats, protein bars, diet shakes, and textured vegetable protein. You should also avoid soy protein isolates, and soy protein concentrates.
**Cruciferous vegetables are the best protective foods against estrogen. Be sure to consume these on a regular basis and do what you can to avoid things that will increase your estrogen levels, like soy.

3:30 Osmotic diuresis
5:50 What causes nocturia?
6:25 How to fix insulin resistance?
In this video, we’re going to look at the causes of nocturia and the best natural solutions. Nocturia is the urge to urinate at night when you should be sleeping, and it can interfere with your ability to get a good night’s sleep.
Nocturia is usually said to be caused by a bladder infection, a kidney infection, prostate issues, or aging.
People with nocturia are not typically urinating a full bladder of urine. This means there must be an issue with the sensors in the bladder or the valve of the bladder.
If there’s too much sugar in the blood, a phenomenon known as osmotic diuresis can occur. This causes excess sugar and water to be excreted, which is why diabetics and people who are obese are at an increased risk for nocturia. If you have sleep apnea, you are also at an increased risk for nocturia.
Insulin resistance is the leading cause of obesity, diabetes, and sleep apnea, all of which lead to nocturia. Research has shown that insulin resistance itself can cause nocturia.
The best way to address nocturia is to fix insulin resistance. To do this, stop snacking at night and work towards eliminating snacking altogether. Cut down your carb intake to less than 30 grams per day and do intermittent fasting. To speed things up, try consuming one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water before meals and exercise regularly.

8:13 13. Medications
In this video, we’re going to talk about 13 reasons why your metabolism is slow. If you struggle with weight gain and can’t seem to lose weight, this video is for you.
Take a look:
1. Age - As you age, growth hormone lowers. Fasting and exercise (especially (HIIT) increase growth hormone.
2. Menopause - Menopause can cause high cortisol, which alters metabolism. Support your adrenal glands to fight high cortisol.
3. Pregnancy - Being pregnant causes high estrogen. Avoid dairy, flaxseed, soy, and other estrogenic foods.
4. Dieting - The longer you’ve been on a low-calorie diet, the worse your metabolism will be. Keto and intermittent fasting is the best remedy.
5. High-carb diets - High-carb diets cause insulin resistance
6. Chronic stress - Stress increases blood glucose levels, leading to poor metabolism.
7. Hypothyroidism - This is often an immune system problem rooted in the gut that affects metabolism.
8. Fatty liver - The liver helps regulate hormones that control your metabolism, such as growth hormone, insulin, cortisol, and estrogen. Choline, fasting, and keto can help a fatty liver.
9. Obesity - The more fat you have, the more estrogen you make. In turn, this can cause more issues with your metabolism.
10. Snacking - Every time you eat, you spike your insulin levels, which affects your metabolism.
11. Alcohol - Alcohol contains carbohydrates and also blocks your ability to tap into fat burning. Alcohol can turn off fat burning for up to 48 hours.
12. Early childhood infection - An infection in early childhood can slow down a child’s metabolism.
13. Medications - Certain medications can slow down your metabolism.

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Dimitris Tsoukalas. There’s a chronic condition that’s more prevalent than cardiovascular disease and cancer combined. Autoimmune disease is the most common chronic illness, with over 50 million people suffering from autoimmune conditions in the US.
Autoimmune disease is a condition where the immune system does not recognize certain organs and tissues, so it attacks them. Hashimoto’s is the most common autoimmune disease.
Dr. Tsoukala explains that Hashimoto's thyroiditis is a chronic inflammatory condition in which the immune system attacks and gradually destroys the thyroid gland. This reduces the thyroid's function, leading to hypothyroidism.
Around 26 million people in the United States are suffering from Hashimoto's disease—and 9 out of 10 are women.
One of the first symptoms of Hashimoto’s is low energy. This is because the hormones produced by the thyroid gland regulate metabolism and control the metabolic rate. People with Hashimoto’s also have difficulty regulating body weight because their metabolic rate is slow. Hormonal imbalance and emotional instability are other common symptoms of Hashimoto’s.
All of Dr. Tsoukalas’ patients diagnosed with Hashimoto’s also have vitamin D deficiencies. More than 90% of his Hashimoto’s patients are insulin resistant. Another common problem associated with Hashimoto’s is multiple marginal micronutrient deficiencies. These deficiencies lead to mitochondrial dysfunction.
Dr. Tsoukalas takes a unique and groundbreaking approach with his patients and utilizes metabolomic testing, which tests chemical reactions in the body to help determine any deficiencies.
