I made this a while ago when I was selling gymnastic rings. I wanted to wait until I had more in stock before posting this, but since the "Pushups" version of this video is trending right now, I thought I would share this in the hopes that it can help more people.
You don't have to buy the gymnastic rings from me. Just look up "gymnastic rings" and you can find multiple places to order some. Look to spend around $50. Some of the cheaper ones have loose cam buckles and this can be dangerous.

My Favorite Exercise
My favorite exercise isn't pushups or pullups. It's just walking.
Beyond the physical benefits, I use a morning walk as a planning stage for my life.
During most of my day, I'm being flooded with new information. I'm getting notifications, talking with people, listening to music, watching videos, reading books, and so on.
Because of this, I spend most of my day REACTING to stimulus and don't really have a chance to give my mind some quiet time to make proper decisions and think of new ideas.
I've talked about this for a while, but I've recently come to discover that some people are afraid to be alone with their thoughts. At the end of the video, I touch on this. In my opinion, the terrifying thoughts in our brain can only be resolved through resolution. Distraction is only a band-aid at best.
I know this is easier said than done, but I highly encourage you to take steps to reclaim your own mind. It's our true home.

Pasta Aglio e Olio: Light & Easy!
This is one of my favorite dishes! I highly recommend trying it out.
Spaghetti Aglio e Olio is also sometimes made with linguine.
Try adding some halved cherry tomatoes, parmesan, or anything you like to put your own spin on this!
It pairs nicely with pan-seared salmon.

Twist Holds Fixed My Neck and Back Pain
Fun fact: while I've always been into fitness, the reason I started researching progressive calisthenics was because of my neck.
At the time, I was only doing pushups and figured I was neglecting other parts of my body, so I started looking for a full body routine.
I was also having some nagging neck pain that I hoped some exercises could help.
I picked up Convict Conditioning (highly recommended read—the basis for many exercises on this channel). The bridges were a pleasant surprise for my neck and helped alleviate the pain a lot.
It wasn't until I read the sequel (Convict Conditioning 2) that was I was introduced to twist holds. When done consistently, these eliminate my neck pain entirely. I hope they can do the same for you!
It's also a valuable mobility exercise that can help us in many athletic movements such as throwing, punching, or anything that involves twisting.

STAND TO STAND BRIDGE: Tutorial
Hello friends! Sometimes I know a video isn't going to be very popular, yet I want to make it anyway.
Bridges, and especially "stand to stand" bridges, are not a very popular exercise. Not many people will search for them or even see them as beneficial.
However, they're one of my favorite exercises and a part of my routine!
After becoming very good at regular bridges (extend your limbs and breath normally throughout the set), experiment with single leg variations.
Then try walking in the bridge position. Walking uphill makes it a bit easier.
Then you can find a pole, tree, or wall and use it to help you on the way up or down.
BE VERY CAREFUL while doing this step and subsequent steps. If you lean back and feel dizzy or lightheaded, stop immediately. Go warm up, and come back in a few minutes. You DO NOT want to pass out in this position.
Soon you'll be able to go lower and lower without assistance from the wall! Success!
You want to imagine bending your body back into a circle or a "wheel." The bridge is also called the Wheel Pose in yoga! Try to envision touching your fingers to your toes, even if you can't come close to this.

You CAN get rid of fruit flies, my friend!
I call this the "fruit fly's downfall."
This is an old video and yes, completely non-related to fitness. However, now that the weather is warming up in some places, I wanted to share this lifehack that has helped me out a lot.
Even very clean houses sometimes get fruit flies. They simply find a way.

Neck Pain Stretches
Here are some stretches I do when my neck is feeling stiff and tight!
I was suddenly inspired to make this video today when I was thinking how much I relied on these stretches when my neck tightens up.
I was wondering what other people did, and I think some people just... Do nothing.
That sounds horrible, so I wanted to share what works for me.
These exercises are by no means definitive. In fact, I had to cut out a fairly lengthy warmup part. There are also some more passive stretches you can find in other videos. I tried to include the ones that are not discussed as much.

Exercises for Knee Pain Relief
Hey everyone! When I started posting more squat and lower-body workouts last week, I got many requests for this video. I actually had already had a knee pain video, but I felt like I could make it a lot better, so I remade it.

Knee pain can be caused by MANY things, and this video is not intended to diagnose or treat any medical conditions. Some issues cannot be solved with exercise or physical therapy alone.
However, I've found that building up do doing squats with a full range of motion can help with knee pain. It's interesting, because there are some fitness figures that are adamantly against deep squatting because they claim it is BAD for the knees. I like it, and I've found it to be a very natural position. However, I do think that many people may not be prepared for it. Like any exercise, it can potentially hurt you if you're not acclimated to it. You can use your arm to assist you through the motion until you're able to do it without your arms with no pain. Beyond this, sometimes strengthening our calves and hamstrings can "mysteriously" fix our knee pain. Both of these muscle groups support the knees.
On the other hand, sometimes these muscles are simply too TIGHT. You muscle fibers may be getting too tight and constantly trying to hyperextend your knees. Savor some calf and hamstring stretches.
I should point out that my chosen hamstring stretch in this video, standing toe touches, are controversial to some. Again, I like them, so they're shown here. If you are against them or they hurt you, you're very welcome to choose a different hamstring stretch.
Finally, I talk about isometric exercises like the horse stance and wall sit that seem to help with knee pain.
I touch upon synovial fluid, which is largely responsible for healing and nourishing our joints. Synovial fluid mostly circulates with movement, so I've included some knee "circles."

You CAN do muscle ups, my friend!
If you can do 12 solid pullups and 5 dips on a horizontal bar, you can probably learn to do the muscle up!
(You may be able to learn it with lower numbers. Nothing wrong with building up your numbers a bit just for fun though, huh?)
I had to cut out a scene for time, but try to envision swinging DOWN and BACK. Keep your arms straight above your head and swing them down without bending your elbow. That's the feeling of swinging down. Now hold your arms parallel to the ground in front of you and pull back explosively as if you're doing a horizontal pullup. That's the "back" feeling. Try to combine the two.

Bodyweight Leg Exercises
Don't skip leg day! I recommend building up our lower body strength progressive bodyweight squats. Progressive meaning the exercise gets harder as we get stronger! More information in the free routine linked below.
I generally do explosive work first, then regular squats, and then I follow up with ancillary work like calf raises and isometrics.
I didn't mention during the video, but holding an isometric stance in the bottom part of a half squat can sometimes make a good lower-body exercise for those with knee pain. Look up the horse stance or mabu that martial artists do. It's similar to that.

Reducing Muscle Soreness
I actually like the sore feeling, but it can sometimes impede our progress. Here are some things we can do to alleviate it!
I can summarize pretty easily. The video is only 59 seconds, haha:
Warm up before working out
Cold showers or cold baths after workouts
Drink water
Get plenty of sleep (VERY IMPORTANT)
Self-massage / foam rolling
Heat therapy
It may interest some of you that lactic acid is currently not thought to be the cause of delayed-onset muscle soreness. Instead, the culprit is primarily microdamage incurred during high-intensity workouts.
It is may ALSO surprise some of you that muscle damage, while previously thought to be the catalyst of muscle GROWTH, has been shown in some studies to be non-essential to muscle growth. Soreness may be correlated with fitness progress, but progress can happen without it.
