Bujingai: The Forsaken City (PS2) Gameplay Sample
This is the furthest I have played into this game. I always meant to get around to playing it, just never had the time. Honestly, so far, I really like this game. The swordplay and controls are good, and the lock-on and dodging system mirror Zelda's. The swordplay and gameplay feel smooth, and I realized during this footage, that you can just pretty much climb every wall to the top of the level...just because.
The art direction in this first level of play really reminds me of Shinobi's art direction, that greyed-out cityscape motif, but for a 2003 game, the textures look crisp, which for PS2 was rare early on.
Honestly, from the little I have played, I don't have any complaints. Solid game so far. Smooth, and easy to learn controls, decent graphics, good music, and fun gameplay. You can even use those orbs you collect to purchase stat upgrades. I'm still early in this game, but from the few levels I have played of it so far, I like this game. Look into it for that action DMC-style game. It may not be on the hig-production-value tier of DMC or GoW, but it's worth looking into if you liked games like Rygar, Shinobi, Nanobreaker, Onimusha, Genji, Gungrave and etc.
This game was developed in collaboration with Taito, and Red Entertainment (who developed GunGrave as well)

Deception IV Blood Ties (PS3) Gameplay Sample
This is my first time playing this game, but I do own the original Deception on the PS1. Tecmo's deception series has been a very long running series, and puts the player in the role of the villain, protecting your castle from invading heroes.
The original that I own on the PS1 had a bit of a King's Field feel to it, first person camera, but the series has shifted to a third person game. As you can see this game is a mixture of a puzzle game, and RPG elements. Instead of battling your enemies with attacks, you are forced to lay down traps to catch them in. There are stage traps as well, and you can combo together multiple traps to do massive damage. So far, the game is really engrossing, even if I wish I could just attack the enemies back. I'm not sure if that's something you get to do later on in the game. As the game goes on, you earn new traps, and more trap slots, and the enemies get tougher.
I picked this game up a few years ago during the Gamestop fire sales on PSWii60 games, and I am glad I did. I've always liked the Deception series, and it's worth a look if you like unique games with strategic elements.

Doom 3 BFG (PS3) Gameplay Sample
I'm not sure how I feel about BFG edition. I love the original Doom 3, and I love the Flashlight mechanic in that game. Was it a gimmick to show off the lighting capabilities of id Tech 4, yes, but they made it a working gameplay mechanic that added to the experience. They did improve the weapon sounds, but again, I'm kind of eh when it comes to taking the flashlight mechanic out of the game, especially when I had lots of fun just thumping the lower enemies with it. The game is also brighter, so you almost don't even need to use the flashlight.
I guess BFG is good, but I'll take the original any day of the week over BFG. I know it has a lot of other cool extras as well, so it's still worth playing, even if the flow of the game seems off now that you don't have to choose between light, or weapon. I know there was a lot of complaining over the years over the flashlight mechanic in the game, but I wasn't one of them. I guess it makes it more action focused, but if I wanted a more action-focues Doom 3, I'd just play Quake 4. This is still a good game, but not as good as the original in my opinion. It just plays better how it was designed in the first place.
Other than that, id tech 4 is the most beautiful engine ever. I'm joking, but still, if you were one of those who either bought a PC (like I did), or upgraded you rig just to run and see this engine in action back in the day, this game an engine are legendary, and a part of the last great era in PC gaming. Half-Life 2, Doom 3, F.E.A.R., Farcry, Crysis, etc. This was the last era in my mind where PC gaming was differentiated from all others. Now, whether it be PC or consoles, all platforms are just digital download boxes, and none of them have their own distinct feel or flavor to them outside of Nintendo's systems. The way things are, PC, Playstation, and Xbox are just kind of melding into the same thing, so buy whichever one of those you want to get all the same mainstream games, and buy a Switch to get an actual unique console experience. At least that's my take on the modern market.

Wolfenstein (2009) PS3 Gameplay Sample
I've had this and The New Order for a couple of years, and I started by playing The New Order first since I heard such good things about it, but, honestly, Playing 20-mins to a half hour of the New Order, I realized it had everything bland, and uninspiring that I have hated about modern FPS game for over a decade. When I turned The New order off, I remember saying, "I already hate this game." I'll give it a second chance eventually, however, I then put in Wolfenstein 2009, and I already am having a lot more fun with it than the New Order. This is why I only care to selectively partake in newer gaming.
I haven't gotten too far into this game, but it already feel better than it's sequel. It seems they threw a little Deus EX into Wolfenstein which is cool. The gunplay feels pretty good, and the upgrade system is also pretty cool. As you can see, the PS3 version doesn't run great. A lot of stuttering, and a glitchy feel, but so far, the game is solid overall. That can change one way of the other as I play more.
This is another game that got very mixed reviews by reviewers and gamers of it's day, but if it looks decent enough, and you find it for cheap, look into this game on the PS3, 360, and PC.

Panzer Dragoon Orta (Xbox) Gameplay Sample
I love the Panzer Dragoon series. When I got a used Saturn, my system came with Zwei, and thus started my love of this series. I missed the chance to pick up Saga, because even as far back as 2001 when I got my Saturn that game was already $400-$500. However, I do own, and still love the first two, and Orta which also has a version of the original PD game that is unlockable.
I am playing on easy here, I did have some footage of normal difficulty, which is way harder, but the Elgato software has been freezing up and corrupting the footage since I got my new GPU. I probably should have already had an OBS setup for the HD60s, but the Elgato software is easy and convenient, so that's what I would use. However, every bit of footage I have recorded with it as of late has corrupted, so OBS it is from now on.

Far Cry Instincts (Xbox) Gameplay Sample
I forgot how good this game is. What an awesome port to the original Xbox as well. I am using my Xbox 360 to play this footage, but the original Xbox Far Cry is so fun and playable. For Xbox Standards, this is one of the top-tier best looking graphics on the system, coming out in 2005. For a system that only had 4 full years of support, we never got to see the full potential of the original Xbox.
I've never played the PC version of Far Cry, I'm sure it looks and runs better. The Xbox version still has addictive, fun gameplay and for the time, amazing graphics. Last gen Xbox games could compete with first-gen 360 games graphically. **Edit** Looking it up, apparently the Xbox version is completely different from the PC original. I was today years old when I found that out. Kinda cool. This means I should definitely pick the PC version up as well.
The gun-play and gameplay in this game are really fun and engrossing. Again, I forgot how much I liked this game. The only downside of the Xbox version is the same downside with the Xbox version of Doom 3, every time you boot it up it has a pretty long, unskipable cutscene that masks a really long initial load time.
Other than that, this game is so fun to play, has a really cool level editor, and you could even play created maps online against other players. Maybe someday I'll pick up the PC version, but the Xbox version still plays great. Awesome game. If you are collecting for the OG Xbox, pick this game up.
Note: I also have Vengeance on the Wii which I have barely played. Maybe I should pack up the 360, and PS3, and set my Wii up for Wii and GameCube Gameplay samples. Maybe soon.

Halo Anniversary (Xbox 360) Gameplay Sample
This is my first time playing Anniversary collection, but seeing as I have played through the original dozens of times, it's all familiar, just prettier. When this game hit, I was too busy being broke, poor, and struggling to make ends meet. I'm happy to now be able to go back and see what I missed from this period of my life.
What can I say about this game that hasn't been said a million times over?

Gears of War (Xbox 360) Gameplay Sample
So I had a friend who at the time had an Xbox 360, and the only game he had was Dead Rising. I would be over at his house all the time, and I would play the crap out of Dead Rising. He almost never even touched his 360. He eventually asked if I wanted another game to play, I said yes, so he traded in Dead Rising, and bought Gears of War close to it's launch. Long story short, he had borrowed $400 from me at one point, so instead of paying me back, he offered me his Xbox 360 with Gears of War, so I took it. Pro system plus game for $400 when the console by itself was still that price, not a bad deal.
I guess my point is, my very first Xbox 360 game was Gears of War. I'm just playing on Casual difficulty for this gameplay sample, saving deaths for ease of view. I only played this game online a couple of times, I know there were big fans of it, but I played through this single player mode multiple times over the years. For a lot of us, this was our introduction to the Unreal 3 Engine, which was pretty much the engine that ran the PS360, because a ton of games used it.

GRAW (Xbox 360) Gameplay Sample
I had a better sample to show, but the visuals froze up while capturing. Anyway, GRAW was one of the first 360 games I owned, and it's a little clunky to go back and play now. This game predated even Gears of War's release on the 360, so the duck and cover mechanics work, but take a little adjusting to.
I remember playing this game online, and it reminded me of playing Socom on the PS2, which was a good thing. In fact, I'm willing to bet that a lot of PS2 Socom players who went with the cheaper Xbox 360 over the overpriced PS3 got their Socom fix through this game.
Overall, it's a little clunky to play, a little gltichy in parts, but look past some of the control and smoothness issues, it's still worth a playthrough.
If you want to know what pre-Unreal 3 games on the 360 looked like, look into the original GRAW. I have the second GRAW as well, but haven't played it yet so I cannot comment on if it is a smoother experience. I would bet it is though.

Frontlines: Fuel of War (Xbox 360) Gameplay
I had to leave the intro in there. Remember when this kind of thing used to sound like some far-off imaginary fiction? I miss those days.
Anyway, I have yet to play very far into the single player mode of this game, but it's not bad for what it is. Think of an objective-based shooter, but off the rails. Whereas Call of Duty does similar things, and leads you down a tunnel, Frontlines opens it up, and lets you go about the objectives how you want to. You aren't forced down the exact same path, into the exact same building, the exact same way every time. You can actually choose what buildings you want to go into or not, and what route you want to take. I really like the openness of choice in this game.
The gunplay feels pretty good too, and the online mode was basically Battlefield 2, but was still really fun. I remember downloading and playing the online demo that let you play the game online against other players, and really liking it. All around a solid game.
It may not have so-called "AAA-game" set pieces or story elements, but that's OK, it still plays well, and has a good feel. Plus, most "AAA games" suck anyway. Overrated garbage I've played for the last two decades. Things really haven't changed since the 7th gen design-wise. There are obviously a few exceptions here and there, but most games aren't that good anymore if you ask me.

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3) Gameplay
Tools of Destruction was one of the big reasons why I really wanted to pick up a PS3. I don't even remember why I wanted to play it so much at the time, I just saw a video or a review, and just wanted to play it, even though I had still yet to play the second or third games in the series.
It wasn't my main reason, but at the time I had an Xbox 360, but wanted to get a PS3 as well.
Honestly, I love this game. Insomniac had spent the years refining and tweaking R&C into an extremely addictive platformer/Shooter/RPG, and Tools of destruction was spectacular in my honest opinion. I remember it getting disappointing scores from the gaming media at the time, but their opinions and reasons to complain were dumb. I can't say their opinions were wrong, just uninformed.
I did notice that the idea of an unbiased gaming media really started to slip away during the 7th gen. Sites would stoke the flames of the fanboy flame wars, and there was a ton of negativity toward the PS3 at the time, and I'm saying this as someone who owned a 360 instead of a PS3.
Looking back, this whole period was silly, but interesting. Hopefully, people can look back on both consoles a lot more favorably than they did while those systems were still alive. It was pretty much the last great console generation, and the new ones are, meh. Not nearly as interesting or exciting. Not to sound like the PC master race, but when consoles are just download boxes for games, Series X, PS5, PC, what's the difference. I think I'll get a Switch someday instead.

Quake II RTX Demo Gameplay
The cool thing about this demo is, if you have a newer version of Quake II, either the steam version or the one that came with the special collector's edition of Quake 4, you can install the full game and play it Ray Traced. I could not get it to install off the original 1997 disc, and from the steam community posts, that might be because it needs certain updates and patches for the RTX demo to find it for the install. Some did post that the version that came with the Quake 4 collector's edition worked for them.
All that being said, I love Quake II, and the RTX demo makes it look awesome. This is a new way to play through a classic if you have the means to play it.
And in case you still thinking about doing a Dell Optiplex build, here's the rig I am running:
Optiplex 9020
i7 4790
RTX 2060 KO
32 gig DDR 3 at 1600 MHZ (the max speed the motherboard supports)
An EVGA 500w PSU with a 24 pin to Dell adapter (The adapter is extremely important if you are gong to upgrade to a better GPU over the low wattage GPU's available, but even with the default, there are some good low profile low wattage cards)
I don't know if people are still interested in an optiplex build as tech has already moved forward, but in case you are on a budget, or just like tinkering. For me, I don't plan on upgrading for a long time, as this is more of an editing rig for me than a gaming one, but, as you can see, I still delve into PC gaming from time to time.

Doom RTX Gameplay Sample
I'm not a doom Pro, so anything past the first three levels, my knowledge of where every secret is minimal. Anyway, this is Doom with Ray Tracing, and I think it's a pretty cool addition. It's pretty awesome that this is a fan project as well. The Doom community is crazy dedicated to this game, and always will be, and my hat is off to them. Doom is timeless, and still fun to this day.
Anyone looking on where to find RTX Doom go here:
https://github.com/sultim-t/prboom-plus-rt/releases
Then you just copy and paste Doom.wad into the folder to run it.
For those wondering, I just upgraded from my venerable GTX 750Ti to an RTX 2060 KO. I'm still running an Optiplex build with an upgraded PSU, i7 4790, 32 gigs of DDR3 (1600 mhz is all the motherboard will support), so the 2060 is not overkill for such an older system. Plus, they were available off EVGA's website where I also bought an XR1 Lite Capture card to test it out.
Note: I didn't ad the upgraded sound pak to this footage, so the music quality isn't the best it could be.

Quake Horde Mode Gameplay Sample
To see my review I did on this remaster, go here: https://youtu.be/bIc9J_wZ7lM
I wish the horde mode was available when I did my review of the game, but it's here now, and man is it fun to play. For a mere $9.99 with this Quake Remaster, you get a ton of free content to enjoy. In fact, I'd say the game has as much new content and free stuff as those "Games-as-a-subscription" games do, except you don't have to purchase idiotic crap like a season pass. yAy FoR MoDeRn gAmiNg. iT Is sO fUn.
My guess is, even if they tried to charge extra for it, the Quake Modding community has such a legacy, good modders would just take all the content they are trying to make you pay for, and just make them into free mods. The Quake mod scene is just as passionate, and almost as old as the Doom mod scene. I'm glad this is the one game that Bethesda actually acts like they care about the customers who bought it. It was a free upgrade if you already owned Quake on Steam, and a mere $9.99 if you don't and they keep adding some really awesome content for free. This is one of the few modern remasters/games where they aren't trying to milk a bunch of extra money out of you. It almost seems like a passion project for the devs, and that's really cool. Plus, I'm guessing a lot of the free stuff is mods that were created decades ago, and they can't charge you for them anyway.

World of Illusion (Genesis) Gameplay Sample
This is only the second time ever I have booted this game up. I never played it back in the day. Solid platformer, but a slower-paced one. I'm guessing that is because it was marketed to kids. I'm not good at this game, but good game to look into. I'm not sure how it stacks up against Castle of Illusion, but I've heard more about Castle than World, so I'm guessing Castle is the one fans liked better.

Vandal Hearts (PS1) Gameplay Sample
Found this on my hard drive. I was going to upload it a while ago, but I wasn't sure if it was interesting enough to post, especially since I done got Clint kilt.
I love Vandal Hearts. It is actually the one turned-based strategy RPG I have played all the way through on the 1. I have started, and played far into others (Final Fantasy Tactics, Kartia, Eternal Eyes, Front Mission 3, etc.), but have only played through Vandal Hearts all the way to the end. I love this game, and it's one of the fantastic pre-FFVII Konami RPGs. Konami made some great RPGs on the 1.
I love strategy RPG's I just never seem to beat them. They were/are a fun sub-genre in the RPG genre, specifically Japanese RPGs. Vandal Hearts has a simple, easy to learn system that isn't overly complicated, but still has plenty of depth. I never got my hands on Vandal Hearts II, but I still love this one. If I remember correctly, it's a little over 20 hours long to beat it, so it makes it a shorter RPG, but at this point, I don't mind. I don't have 40-100 hours to throw at an RPG nowadays anyway.

Quake III Revolution (PS2) Gameplay Sample
I used to be much better at hitting Rails with the old Dualshock 2, but as you can see, my skills have diminished. I guess that's what happens when you jump into a save you haven't played for probably well over a decade.
In case you are wondering, this game has widescreen support, but apologies if the image is a little stretched due to my video editor. I am using that Hyperkin Cable I covered a while back for this footage, which is what I have been using for all my recent 2 footage (except the progressive scan titles).
For that video Go here: https://youtu.be/7Ic6tIRWIFo
Quake III Revolution is a really fun port of the game to the 2. The load times are a bit too long, but with the right selected preset, you can make it control like a modern dual analog F game (the default control scheme is bad, but you can find the right preset in the option). However, I could not find a way to make the aim speed faster, which is why I sometimes look like I'm lost when trying to face an opponent.
Overall, this is a really fun port. Not, it doesn't have any online, or keyboard and mouse support, but for splitscreen action with friends, or a fun single player experience, this is still a fun port to play. This was an early 2 game, and it was exciting to see PC to console ports that weren't degraded when compared to the originals (yes PC gamers, I know, teh controlz and teh low rez of tube TV's). I would say that Bullfrog Productions did a better job of optimizing Quake III to run on the 2 than Epic did with Unreal Tournament (granted UT was a launch game, so they may have rushed it).
When compared to it's competition when it hit, Unreal Tournament, and Timesplitters, TS will always own both of them for not just the multiplayer insanity, a myriad of options, and such a smooth framer-rate, I would say both QIII, and UT are still fun if you find them for cheap. The load times in QIII aren't great, but it's framerate is solid when compared to UT. UT has a lot more modes, and options though. Still worth a play if you find it for cheap.

Duke Nukem 3D 20th Anniversary (PC) Gameplay
I never got around to picking up the PC version of Duke Nukem 3D, and even if I had, it had some trouble running on even something as old as Windows XP. I own every retro console version of the game (Saturn/1/N64) except the Genesis version, but I never picked up the original until I bought the 20th anniversary edition off Steam a couple of days ago.
But "Hey, what can I say." I'm glad to finally have a version of the PC original to play. I love Duke 3D, and all it's console ports are good ports with their own unique quirks. Duke is fun no matter how you play him....Not sure about the GBA or Genesis ports, but for the mainline consoles, and PC, this is one of the best classic F games.
It's raunchy flavor seems a bit tame by today's gaming standards, but they were incredibly controversial in the 90's when Duke hit. The N64 version even did some clever level design changes to censor some of the raunchy parts.
Anyway, good remaster. Pick it up on Steam if you haven't already. It's always fun to play.

Doom Eternal (PC) Gameplay Sample
Don't judge my poor playing, I just finally picked this game up yesterday, and this is my first time playing through it. Don't expect any spectacular playing here.
I am playing this on my Lenovo Legion Laptop I found on clearance for $400:
AMD Ryzen 5 4600H
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti
8GB RAM
The settings are 1080p, and mostly high settings, and it runs pretty well
Until I finally upgrade my GPU in my desktop (still rocking a GTX 750 ti), I'll be using my laptop to play it. So far I like it better than Doom 2016. It's definitely a lot more action focused. Some day I'd like to think I will figure out a key-binding configuration to do fast weapon stitching, but I doubt it.

Red Faction (PC) Gameplay Sample
The entire Red Faction collection was on sale on Steam, so I bought the whole set. I love the original Red Faction. It is still my favorite game in the series, and it closely mimics Half-Life in it's designs and play, but the Geo-Mod engine was/is still so much fun to play around with. This is my first time playing the PC version, but I love this game on the PS2, and now the PC. I know the PC mod community for this game was super dedicated, because the Geo-Mod engine is such a cool, never-reproduced thing.
As for the series itself, every Red Faction game has been a different kind of game, The original was more Half-Life in nature, the second was a Squad-shooter with Halo influence, Guerilla was Saints Row on Mars with destructable environments, and Armageddon, from what I remember was a bug shooter, and I could swear it was like a Horde mode. I guess I could just boot it up and play it again to remember.

Shadowman Remastered (PC) Gameplay Sample
Up until today, I have actually never played the original Shadow Man. It's one of those games I always wanted to get but despite there being a PS1, N64, DC, and PC release of this game, I never picked it up. Welp, some more Steam game buying today has let me finally play this remastered version of the game, and so far so good.
When I posted Shaodw Man 2econd Coming as a PS2 underrated Gem 13 years ago after having played through it, and liking it a lot, fans of the original were like "This game sucks, the original was so much better." So, I guess, now that I own the original, I can either validate, or disagree with their complaints. Actually, I already disagree that 2econd Coming sucked, because I still really enjoyed that game, but since I enjoyed that one, I will definitely like this one as well as people generally agree that it was the better game.
I'm actually happy to see Acclaim games getting some love, and a remaster. Acclaim didn't always make the best game, and were rightfully regarded as a company that made mediocre to bad games, but even Acclaim made good games here and there. Both Acclaim and 3DO had the same reputation for putting out meh to bad, but even 3DO made some good games here and there over the years. I know that is off topic, but Acclaim was always a developer I had hopes to turn things around as was 3DO. Then Midway died, and I'm still genuinely mad about that as well.
Anywho, first impressions of Shadow Man Remastered, I like it. It's got a great dark moody atmosphere, and some thought out designs from an era when developers realized they were making a game, and not a QTE-filled, ad-nausea visual story with minimal, or just bland gameplay designs. I love good level designs were you can tell the levels are more than just an area for overdone (boring) set-pieces to unfold a canned, rehashed, uninteresting story.
Shaodw Man Remastered is cheap on Steam if you are interested. Aslo, here is the 13 year old Video where I covered 2econd Coming as an underrated Gem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGoslZkwOjY

Cod 2: Big Red One (PS2) Gameplay Sample
This is Treyarch's first foray into Call of Duty is decent, but from a single player standpoint, I like Finest Hour a lot better. It's online play was fun, and better than Finest hour though.
I guess the saddest part is that not much has changed in Cod"s single player modes. We have been playing the same scripted scenes, just in different orders for almost 20 years now. Graphical technology has changed, the scenes got bigger in scale, but they are, indeed, the exact same played-out, stagnant scenes that haven't changed since the series began. Not like anyone plays this series for the single player anyway.
Overall, not much to say other than if you were a console gamer, your first two Call of Duty games were more than likely Finest Hour, and Big Red One. I still need to pick up the PS2 versions of Cod3, and World a War just to see how different the are from the PS360 versions.
Note: Big Red One supports 16:9 widescreen which is why this video is widescreen.

Maximo vs Army of Zin (PS2) Gameplay Sample
Outside of playing this for a montage I made, this is the most I have played of Army of Zin. I played pretty far into the original Maximo, but never beat it fully. I am playing on Normal difficulty instead of hard, and I can see they went with a more accessible (see easier) game than the original Maximo.
The fist game being an homage to Ghouls 'n Ghosts/Ghosts 'n Goblins, was purposely stupid hard, yet, still compelling, and well designed. I remember the original Maximo getting a lot more coverage than Army of Zin, but the first Maximo was released early enough in the PS2's lifecycle to get more coverage, whereas, by 2003, when Army of Zin hit, there were so many more games on the market, across three systems to cover, so it didn't get nearly the attention of the first one.
Thery made some refinements that make the game easier (like the ability to grab ledges), and from the first two levels, it seems the game eases you into it's difficulty whereas the original wanted to kill you right from the get go.
I'm willing to bet that fans of the original might not like the changes to make AoZ easier than the original, but for playability, and easy of access, it tops the original. It is easier to get into for new players. I loved the original, and Army of Zin seems worthwhile to play as well, even if it doesn't fully feel like a sequel.
I guess you can say the design is more fleshed out, whereas the original was brutally hard, and had less explration, and was more action oriented, and not as focused on exploring. So the first one is great, but rough, the second one is different, but more fleshed out. At least from what I have played of it. I could be wrong as I have only played the first two levels so far.

Serious Sam: Next Encounter (PS2) Gameplay Sample
While the Xbox was getting ports of actual Serious Sam games, the PS2 and Gamecube got this fun little offshoot for a mere $20 asking price. Next Encounter has all the fast, furious gameplay the series is known for, but ads a combo system and point system for even more of an arcade feel.
Retro throwback shooters are all the rage today, but Serious Sam was one of if not the first throwback shooter that came from a then indie developer to take the PC gaming market by storm. I haven't played the more recent releases in this series, but of the two I own, Second encounter on the PC, and Next Encounter on the PS2, I am a fan of this series. I guess I own Serious Sam 2 on the Xbox as well, but have yet to so much as play it.
I'm not sure what the differences between the Gamecube and PS2 versions of this game are, outside of the PS2 version used to have online play. If it's typical in the differences, the Gamecube version probably looks sharper, and runs smoother. I can't say as I have never played that version.
I enjoy my time with Next Encounter every time I put it in my PS2, and if you're a Serious Sam fan who has yet to play this, check it out. It has all the fun, fast, arcadey action the series in known for.
Long before devs realized that retro FPS throwbacks were were cool, Sam took it serious, and blazed the trail for all to follow. OK, I was trying to be punny. I failed.
NOTE: THis game has widescreen support, which is why the video is in 16:9

Dusk (PC) Gameplay
I like Dusk. I didn't come away from it nearly as in love with it as so many others, but it's still a very well made game. In fact I did a full review on it a while back.

Fun game, but, again, I didn't fall in love with it. I remember when it first got announced, all the big gaming channels covered it, and they said a lot of the same things. I can't tell if the developers sent them a playable version, and gave them a script to read off of, or if they were just copying what other channels said in their videos, but there was definitely something fishy with it.
I like Dusk, but wasn't madly in love with it like so many others were. It's still so fast, fun and fluid, and has some good level designs. I still definitely recommend the game for oldschool FPS fans, as you may love it. It's OK if we disagree.
