Cod 2: Big Red One (PS2) Gameplay Sample
This is Treyarch's first foray into Call of Duty is decent, but from a single player standpoint, I like Finest Hour a lot better. It's online play was fun, and better than Finest hour though.
I guess the saddest part is that not much has changed in Cod"s single player modes. We have been playing the same scripted scenes, just in different orders for almost 20 years now. Graphical technology has changed, the scenes got bigger in scale, but they are, indeed, the exact same played-out, stagnant scenes that haven't changed since the series began. Not like anyone plays this series for the single player anyway.
Overall, not much to say other than if you were a console gamer, your first two Call of Duty games were more than likely Finest Hour, and Big Red One. I still need to pick up the PS2 versions of Cod3, and World a War just to see how different the are from the PS360 versions.
Note: Big Red One supports 16:9 widescreen which is why this video is widescreen.
