This is the furthest I have played into this game. I always meant to get around to playing it, just never had the time. Honestly, so far, I really like this game. The swordplay and controls are good, and the lock-on and dodging system mirror Zelda's. The swordplay and gameplay feel smooth, and I realized during this footage, that you can just pretty much climb every wall to the top of the level...just because.

The art direction in this first level of play really reminds me of Shinobi's art direction, that greyed-out cityscape motif, but for a 2003 game, the textures look crisp, which for PS2 was rare early on.

Honestly, from the little I have played, I don't have any complaints. Solid game so far. Smooth, and easy to learn controls, decent graphics, good music, and fun gameplay. You can even use those orbs you collect to purchase stat upgrades. I'm still early in this game, but from the few levels I have played of it so far, I like this game. Look into it for that action DMC-style game. It may not be on the hig-production-value tier of DMC or GoW, but it's worth looking into if you liked games like Rygar, Shinobi, Nanobreaker, Onimusha, Genji, Gungrave and etc.

This game was developed in collaboration with Taito, and Red Entertainment (who developed GunGrave as well)
