Bloodborne (PS4) Gameplay -No Commentary-
I'm not good at this game by any means. I only recently got my hands on a PS4 Pro, and bought Bloodborne because of how highly recommended it was. I've never played particularly far into a Souls game. I've owned the original Demon's Souls for over a decade, and I did play into the game a bit, but then got completely sidetracked.
So far I am enjoying Bloodborne, but I definitely have to get into the grindy mood to play it. It's combat system feels pretty good. It's definitely a lot more fluid in the combat which makes it feel a little easier, even if it's not an easy game in itself. I also bought Dark Sould Remastered, and, compared to Bloodborne, I'm getting my buttocks handed to me in Dark Souls with it's more rigid combat system.
So far, I am enjoying the grind in this game.

The Ball (PS3) Gameplay | Unreal Tournament 3 Mod | Console Games with Mod Support |
The Ball has a Steam release now, but I first played this really fun puzzle game as a total conversion mod for the Playstation 3 version of Unreal Tournament III. That's right, the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament III had full mod support. I made a video on it on my old channel if you would like to watch: https://youtu.be/bNglyiyogFM?feature=shared

Mirror's Edge (PS3 vs Xbox 360 Graphics Comparison) -No Commentary-
In order to get the PS3 version of Mirror's Edge to display at 1080p, you have to go into your system settings and turn off 720p, and 1080i as display options, and the game will run at 1080p. In order to get the Xbox 360 to display the game at 1080p, plug your Xbox 360 into a TV that supports it. Lol.
My apologies for muting the background music, but the DMCA hounds are not to be dealt with, even if this video is technically to inform or educate people on the differences between the PS3 and 360 versions. I already know how that appeal would go.
As for the better of the two, while I don't have a framerate counter like trdrop to see which one runs better, I can say that I didn't notice much differences except for when I was trying to line up the cut-scenes. I did the best I could, but my editing software is crap, and it can only do so much.
Graphically, I did notice that the 360 version of the game has some extra shadows in it, but there was nothing major that stood out. I guess the difference is if you like the brighter look of the PS3 version verses the darker look of the 360 version.
Texture quality seems to be about the same. Maybe those of you running 4K displays will notice more differences than I do at 1080p. I want to the the PS3 version has a little more aliasing, but nothing major.
I would say this one is pretty much a tie. There may be the slightest edge to the 360 version, but both versions are close enough.
As for the game itself, I love this game.

Ratchet and Clank (PS4) Gameplay -No Commentary- |PS4 Pro | Boost Mode | Super Sampling Enabled |
I just got Ratchet and Clank for the PS4 in today, and I have been enjoying it all day. This whole series is super addictive to play, and this 2016 reboot mixes the original PS2 game with the addictive RPG elements introduced in Going Commando, and also weaves the storyline into the Ratchet & Clank movie, using actual clips from the film. I just got this game in today, it's my first time playing it, but it retains all the addictive gameplay elements that has made this series so great.
It's the same formula Insomniac would take into the Spiderman Games. Great series, talented developer. If you have put off playing this game, maybe you should look into it.
NOTE: I recorded this at 1080p and upscaled to 4K in my editing software as I have neither a 4K TV, nor a 4K capture card. Super Sampling is on as well. I also don't have an HDR capable screen.

Bioshock Infinite Comparison (PC vs Xbox 360 vs PS3) -No Commentary-
I made this months ago, but didn't think it was good enough to upload. Partially because I should have just partitioned the screen to have all three play at once instead of switching between them, and because the PC version being the giga-Chad version of the game pulls so far ahead of the other versions, it's hard to see the comparison. I just wanted to throw the PC version in there for fun, but it didn't turn out the best. I should have just kept it 360 vs PS3. I don't own newer console versions of the game, but I don't feel the need to either seeing as I already own it three times over.
I decided to upload this video because I did take the time to makeit. I'm still experimenting with better processes for comparisons. I make these comparison video mostly out of my own curiosity, and for the fun of it.

Ratchet and Clank Going Commando HD (PS3/PS2) Gameplay -No Commentary-
This is from the Ratchet and Clank Collection on the PS3.
I have still yet to play all the way through Going Commando or Up Your Arsenal. I have always meant to, but I played far into the original, and the second R&C game I played was Future: Tools of Destruction. I have since went back and picked up both mainline R&C games I missed for the PS2, Deadlocked, and this collection.
So even though most people love GC the most in the series, I've still yet to play very far into it. This is also why I will vehemently Tools of Destruction, because I love that game, being the first on I played with all the addictive added RPG elements, and because it's still a great game.
I will eventually get around to playing all the way through Going Commando. This whole series is spectacular, and is one of the few surviving 3D platformer franchises out there anymore. I guess Crash and Spyro have come back, but for the longest time, from the 7th gen on, we were pretty much down to Ratchet, and Mario left.

Tomb Raider II (PC) Gameplay -No Commentary-
I acquired the first 4 Tomb Raider games off Steam a while back, even before the remaster announcement. I am an avid fan of the original Tomb Raider series, and I always will be. My only question with the new remaster on the way is, how will modern gamer respond to the controls in these games? The problem is, if you change the control scheme, you would have to redesign the maps, because TR maps are on a square-based grid. It has specific jumps to reach specific ledges with the specific amount of room required to run and make those jumps.
As cool as I think a remaster of the first three games (get rid of TRIII, and put TLR instead as far as I'm concerned), I don't see a lot of modern players being able to get handle on the controls, and I don't see them changing the controls without completely redesigning the levels. If people complained about Goldeneye's controls when it was re-released, how much worse are they going to complain about Tomb Raider"s?
Anyway, this is Tomb Raider II which is my favorite in the original series, because it was my first. I am a PS1 TR player, and I have discovered that using the USB PS1 controller that came with the PlayStation Classic mini console works beautifully with the PC version of the game. Yes, retro PC gamers, I am as big a wimp about playing TR using only the keyboard as other people are wimps about Tank controls.
I love this game. I love this series, and I will never not love the brilliant, intricate, level designs of the original Core Design Tomb Raider games. The atmosphere, the gameplay, the music, I love this series.

Killzone: Shadow Fall (PS4) Gameplay -No Commentary- | Uncapped framerate | PS4 Pro Boost Mode |
So I finally got a PS4 10 years too late, and I figured that if I'm going to jump into the PS4 library this late, I'm going to get the PS4 Pro (with 2 TB storage) which is what I did. I know I could have just bought a PS5 which will play PS4 games better, however, the $250 I saved by buying the Pro instead of the PS5 will be spend on buying games instead.
As far as Killzone Shadow Fall is concerned, I just got the game in yesterday, and I played it all the way to Last Stand where I have rage quit. Lol. I definitely like the new direction the series took here. I still love the old Killzone titles, but I appreciate Shadow Fall's attempt to take the series into a new, more openly designed direction. Instead of pulling players through a tunnel FPS with large, overdone set pieces à la Call of Duty, Guerilla Games went with a more open/exploration based design with smaller battle skirmishes in between. There are still some scripted set-piece scenes, but they are downplayed more, and not nearly as over the top as the past games attempted to be.
It's almost like they said, let Call of Duty do the Call of Duty thing, we'll try and do something new. I do like the new direction the game took, even if it sometimes leads to large open areas that are empty in places. As a launch title, I get the feeling like they wanted to add more to the game, but were rushed to get it out by launch. Graphically, the game still looks beautiful. The art direction in the game is still nice to look at.
The game doesn't run great, but there is a 30 FPS framerate cap option for those who don't like framerate variations. I personally, don't know which mode I prefer. I do have boost mode on, but it only seems to marginally improve the framerate according to Digital Foundry. I know the PS5 will run this game at a smooth 60 fps, but I wanted to experience games on the original hardware (well, the PS4 Pro that is), and save the extra money. I'll get a PS5 later. Right now, I have 10 years of gaming to catch up on.
NOTE: I recorded this at 1080p and upscaled to 4K in my editing software as I have neither a 4K TV, nor a 4K capture card. Super Sampling is on as well. I also don't have an HDR capable screen.

Batman: Arkham Asylum (PC) Gameplay -No commentary-
A while back I picked up all three Rocksteady developed Arkham games for a mere $8 on a Steam sale, and I like them. When one of them is annoying me, I'll just switch off to the next game in the series. Normally it's Arkham Knight that annoys me with it's stupid tank battle scenes, but I am slowly playing through all three in whatever order I feel like. I've put the most time into Arkham Knight, but they are all really good.
I remember watching a friend play this game when it first hit, and I thought it looked good, but wasn't my thing at the time. I've since come back around to play all three thanks to a Steam sale. The only one I owned previously was the 360 version of Arkham City which another friend gave to me, but I didn't play for the first time until I bought the Steam versions.
Anway, solid game, and while it doesn't have the big expanded maps of the sequel, it's still worth playing. It has aged very well, even when compared to the sequels. The early Unreal 3 engine graphics may not have aged as well, but they still look good. I like Unreal 3, the official engine of the PS360.
I guess I just need Arkham Origins to complete the whole set

Half-Life: Opposing Force (PC) Gameplay -No Commentary- | Windows XP Rig | Physical Disk version |
My apologies for the darkness of this footage. Since the Steam version of Opposing Forces just glitches out, and won't run on my current rig, I decided to play the disk version on my Windows XP computer which has a Pentium D 820 (it was given to me), and a hand-me-down GTX 750 Ti which I was using as a stand-in GPU for my current computer until I bought my RTX 2060.
I am used Fraps to benchmark, and my elgato HD60s to capture this footage. It's been years since I played through Opposing Force to the point that I only vaguely remember it. I think I remember Blue Shift better, but both are hazy in my memory. I own the whole Half-Life collection on disk, and putting in the CD keys on Steam netted me all the games for free on Steam. It's the collection that came with the "HD Pack," which improved the visuals of Half-Life, and it's expansions. This is why I still love old physical media, and still buy old PC games in Physical form when I can.

Perfect Dark (N64) Bot Deathmatch (Complex) -No Commentary- | Hyperkin 3-In-1 HDTV Cable |
Just showing some bot deathmatch gameplay for Perfect Dark in the Complex level. The reason this footage is in 16:9 is that Perfect Dark actually has a 16:9 viewing option which is incredibly rare for N64 games. The Hyperkin 3-in-one cable lets you easily shift the aspect ratio from 4:3 into 16:9 with a switch on the device.
As far as bot deathmatches go, I definitely put an absurd amount of hours into Perfect Dark. My biggest complaint has always been that stupid blur effect that happens when you get melee'd in this game. It's especially annoying that it even follows you into the next life after you respawn. For the time, this was easily the best bot deathmatches to be had on consoles, however, once I got my hands on a PS2, and Timesplitters which does everything PD does (in bot deathmatches that is), and more, I have a hard time coming back to the PD series, even Zero. I would say that the entire Timesplitters series was the pinnacle of the Goldeneye/Perfect Dark style of local/bot multiplayer.
That being said, I do still enjoy the bot matches in Perfect Dark. I love me some bot deathmatches in general. Just because Timesplitters surpassed it very quickly, doesn't mean that PD's bot deathmatches aren't still really fun to play, even with the stupid blur effect. I also enjoy the single player mode in Perfect Dark, even if it wasn't nearly as memorable to me as Goledneye's sp was. That, however, is because of where I was at in life when PD hit, versus when GE hit. I played Goldeneye a lot more.

Jet Force Gemini (N64) Gameplay -No Commentary- | Hyperkin 3-In-1 HDTV Cable |
Jet Force Gemini is a fan favorite for the N64, and I really enjoyed playing through it back in the day. I have never beaten this game thanks to one terrible design choice on Rare's part that has prevented me from fighting the final boss in the game.
In order to fight the final boss and beat the game, you are required to have saved all the little furry Tribal's in the game. So basically, you have to go back and save all the Tribal's in all the levels, and since they respawn, you can't tell which ones you have already saved verses the ones you missed. It basically just brings the entire game to a halt, and you have to go back and replay the entire game whilst saving all the tribals in order to continue. That is why I have never beaten it despite putting 33 hours into it on my main save.
Other than that, I've always really enjoyed this underrated N64 title. This is definitely one of my favorite N64 games. The rest of the game is fun. Was this the inspiration for Ratchet and Clank? I'm not sure, but it is similar in many ways.

Zero Tolerance (Genesis/Mega Drive) Gameplay -No Commentary- | Hyperkin Retron 5 |
Zero Tolerance is an interesting, and pretty difficult first person shooter for the Genesis. I have owned it for over a decade, but have never been able to get very far into the game. It's definitely cool to have a working first person shooter on the default Genesis hardware, the game is hard because the enemies move faster than you can move the camera which ends in a lot of unfair hits being taken. I like this game. it's an interesting curiosity of a game, but it is definitely a flawed experience.

Viking: Battle for Asgard (Xbox 360) Gameplay -No Commentary-
Viking: Battle for Asgard was a game that definitely flew under the radar when it hit on the PS360. It's a decent game if you can get into it. It's combat feels incredibly basic when compared to something like God of War, but it's a solid effort from what I have played of it. Viking is worth looking into if you are on the hunt for under-the-radar games. It won't wow you, but it's a solid game. Maybe something in the 7/10 range.

Viking: Battle for Asgard (PS3 vs Xbox 360 Comparison) -No Commentary-
Viking: Battle for Asgard was a game that definitely flew under the radar when it hit on the PS360. It's a decent game if you can get into it. It's combat feels incredibly basic when compared to something like God of War, but it's a solid effort from what I have played of it. For no good reason, I decided to buy it on both the 360 and PS3 when I ordered it. I had forgotten about this game until I went back and read an old review of it on an of blog fanzine of where I had other members of the Gamepro forums write reviews, and reading @TheWarriorFrenzy's review of this game in my old blog fanzine made me decide to pick it up.
As for which version is better visually, the 360, hands-down, wins this comparison. Gameplay-wise, the games play the same, and I didn't notice any major framerate differences between the two. However, the 360 version definitely looks a lot better in the textures (not sure if it's just because the way the 360 handles the blacks or if the textures are better), and according to the box supports 1080p, whereas the PS3 version only supports 720p. Using my 1080p TV as my monitor, I can't really tell if the resolution is higher on the 360, but those with 1440p/4k monitors will be able to tell. I've also noticed that the 360 version has a flag on the back of the character model that is absent in the PS3 version.
Overall, the 360 version definitely looks better, but they both run and play about the same. Viking is worth looking into if you are on the hunt for under-the-radar games. It won't wow you, but it's a solid game. Maybe something in the 7/10 range.

Red Dead Revolver (PS2) Gameplay -No Commentary-
This is my first playthrough of Red Dead Revolver, but it definitely has elements in it you can see were expanded for Red Dead Redemption. This isn't an ope world game, but there are exploration elements within this game where you can explore towns. This game is definitely going more for the western movie action game feel. So far, I'm enjoying this game, and it was a great start to a great series.
NOTE: This game supports widescreen display which is why this footage is in 16:9

Area 51(PS2) Gameplay -No Commentary- | Hyperkin PS2 HDTV Cable || Underrated/Hidden Gem |
Area 51 is one of my favorite FPS games on the PS2, and one of my favorite of it's entire generation.
During the 6th generation, Midway remade, and revamped a lot of their classic arcade IPs, and Area 51 takes the classic Light Gun game, and thrusts it into the post-Halo era of gaming. The game has a combination of Halo, Half-Life, Deus Ex, and even a little Metriod Prime thrown in for good measure. The storyline has a little Des EX meets X-files meets Half-life, and goes into conspiracy theories surrounding Roswell. Overall this is a well made FPS game with a good storyline. One of my favorites of this generation, and just an underrated game all around.
As you can see though, the single player mode is kind of short when compared to other FPS games released in that generation, but it's online play, when it was still online, was fast, furious, and super fun. I know that some people have modded disks, and run a modded PS2 to play PS2 games online again, but I'm not sure if Area 51 is one of those games as of yet.
Blacksite was Kind of Meh, but this game is still awesome. Midway was turning out some amazing stuff in the 6th gen.
This game was also released on the Xbox, and PC, but the Gamecube release was cancelled.

Command and Conquer: Renegade (PC) Gameplay -No Commentary-
This game came with The Command and Conquer: The First Decade Collection which kind of still works on Windows 10. Well, the two C&C games work, and Renegade works as well, but the other games have issues and won't boot. I'll figure it out later, or will just run this on my Windows XP rig. I can still play Red Alert, so I'm happy with that.
Renegade is...OK. Far from the greatests FPS ever, but not the worst. It's a middling effort at best, even for it's time. It is interesting that they took C&C into the first person shooter genre. A strange departure for the series to say the very least.
I do know that people had a lot of fun playing this in online multiplayer back in the day.

Unreal Tournament III (PS3) Bot DM Gameplay (Q3ProTourney4) -No Commentary-
I was playing some Unreal Tournament III, and thought I would share some footage of me playing a Quake III map in UT3, thanks to the PS3 version's mod support. I love this game. This is still one of my favorite 7th gen FPS games of all time. We didn't get a Timesplitters that gen, but UT3 filled that void for me on the PS3. I can play this game for hours and hours, even offline verses bots.

Unreal (1998) Bot Deathmatch -Deck 16- No Commentary
I was playing some bot deathmatch in the original Unreal, and game which I love, and I thought I would just share some hectic gameplay with you. I have 15 bots in this match for a total of 16 players. Bot deathmatch in 1998 was a rarity, and Unreal was one of the first FPS games to implement it. Unreal Tournamnet refined the Bot DM a lot more, but this is still super fun to play. If you own the original Unreal, kill some bots on occasion, it's fun.

Doom PS1 Gameplay -No Commentary-
Just a Gameplay Sample for the PS1 port of Doom. I used the PS3 to upscale this footage.
The PS1 port of Doom is, arguably, the best console port of the game of all time. It makes some changes, taking the music and making it moody, and ambient, adding colored lighting, cuts out a couple of the larger levels, and adds Doom II enemies in the original Doom. It also has Doom II on the disk. Well, a sizable portion of Doom II. You basically get two Doom games for the price of one which is awesome.
The PS1 port is also the smoothest playing port tot he retro consoles. It does have some framerate issues, but it wasn't until the Collector's Edition of Doom 3 on the original Xbox which contained a 4-player port of the original Doom that consoles got a smoother playing port. The PS1 version is packed full of content, adds some cool new additions to the game, and plays fantastically. This is definitely worth picking up for the system.
