Tomb Raider II (PC) Gameplay -No Commentary-

I acquired the first 4 Tomb Raider games off Steam a while back, even before the remaster announcement. I am an avid fan of the original Tomb Raider series, and I always will be. My only question with the new remaster on the way is, how will modern gamer respond to the controls in these games? The problem is, if you change the control scheme, you would have to redesign the maps, because TR maps are on a square-based grid. It has specific jumps to reach specific ledges with the specific amount of room required to run and make those jumps.

As cool as I think a remaster of the first three games (get rid of TRIII, and put TLR instead as far as I'm concerned), I don't see a lot of modern players being able to get handle on the controls, and I don't see them changing the controls without completely redesigning the levels. If people complained about Goldeneye's controls when it was re-released, how much worse are they going to complain about Tomb Raider"s?

Anyway, this is Tomb Raider II which is my favorite in the original series, because it was my first. I am a PS1 TR player, and I have discovered that using the USB PS1 controller that came with the PlayStation Classic mini console works beautifully with the PC version of the game. Yes, retro PC gamers, I am as big a wimp about playing TR using only the keyboard as other people are wimps about Tank controls.

I love this game. I love this series, and I will never not love the brilliant, intricate, level designs of the original Core Design Tomb Raider games. The atmosphere, the gameplay, the music, I love this series.
