For the most part, when someone offends us, we feel like they owe us something now, at the very least an apology. And if they don’t apologize, we may start to think about how to pay them back – we may think it’s ok to withhold affection, be hostile, or passive-aggressive towards them. Of course, Jesus teaches us exactly what to do in this situation so that we stay in agreement with God and not venture into enemy territory!
