Did You Know Dale Earnhardt Supported Removing the Confederate Flag?
“What would Dale do?”
For many NASCAR fans, that hypothetical question is essentially treated as the sport’s unofficial motto. The late Dale Earnhardt Sr. — a seven-time Cup Series champion — is almost unequivocally considered to be the greatest to ever step foot inside a stock car. The American hero of stock car racing, taken from us too soon. Many former NASCAR fans even invoke Earnhardt’s name as the primary reason behind their lapsed fandom. NASCAR died the day Dale Sr. died, they say.
With NASCAR’s recent announcement that it would be banning the Confederate flag from all events and properties, many of those frustrated with the auto sanctioning body’s decision probably found themselves invoking The Intimidator’s name once again. “What would Dale do?” Well, the Kannapolis, North Carolina native would have, without a doubt, supported the Confederate flag’s removal.
During an episode of the Fast Lane Family podcast back on April 29, 2015 — which would have been Dale Senior’s 64th birthday — Earnhardt’s oldest daughter, Kelley Earnhardt Miller, shared a story about Dale that she promised would “show a lot about my dad’s heart.”
“On my dad’s truck, he had this sticker with a rebel flag that said ‘American by birth, Southern by the grace of God.’ At the time, we had this housekeeper named Ann, and she was the most awesome lady. She was an African-American lady, and she asked my stepmother about my dad’s rebel flag on the back of his truck.
“And so the next thing we know my dad’s out there with a knife and a razor blade, and he’s cutting the rebel flag out of the sticker. He didn’t want to offend anybody or make anybody mad in that manner. It was so sweet. It was a little kind-hearted thing. She just thought that was the best. She’s like, ‘That’s just so awesome that you would do that.’ He had a good heart, a big heart.”
As it turns out, Senior’s eventual disdain for the Confederate flag was passed down to his son, Dale Earnhardt Jr.
“I think if it’s offensive to an entire race, it really does nothing for anybody to be there flying,” Dale Jr. said back in 2015, in support of South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s call to remove the Confederate flag from the grounds of the State House. “It belongs in the history books, that’s about it.”
More recently, on June 3, 2020, Junior welcomed Bubba Wallace, the only African-American driver in the Cup Series, on his Dale Jr. Download podcast. Wallace opened up about everything from what it’s like to be black in NASCAR to his own personal experiences with racial injustice.
On June 10, Wallace appeared on CNN to call for the Confederate to be banned from all NASCAR races. Two days later, NASCAR made the official decision.

$28 Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker Is the Secret to Refreshing Tea All Summer Long
Here in Texas, we don't trust anyone who doesn't like sweet tea. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to look at you crazy if you say you don't like Dr Pepper, but not liking sweet tea is a different kind of strange. Are you kidding me!? C'mon. Sweet tea is a must, which is why every Texan (and southerner) needs a Mr. Coffee iced tea maker.
Red Diamond tea is yummy, but nothing beats homemade iced tea. Especially if your family goes through it quickly (or if you love pouring a lot of sugar in your pitchers of tea). With this $28 iced tea maker, you'll be able to make two quarts of tea. Get it just in time for summer! Coming home to fresh iced tea will be a wonderful feeling after a hot day outside.
Mr. Coffee TM75 Iced Tea Maker, 1 EA, Blue
The iced tea maker can brew tea bags or loose leaf tea in single or double servings. And of course, there's a programmed cleaning cycle to keep the glass pitcher clean. The iced tea maker is 11 X 7 X 15 inches, making it perfect for countertops.
Of course, I know I'm going on and on about sweet tea, but use the 2-quart pitcher to make your unsweetened tea as well. Too much sugar isn't a good thing, y'all!
You can find the ice tea maker on Amazon. The pricing is fantastic. It's only $28.29. It is Amazon Prime eligible, which means you can have this on your doorstep in just two days if you're a Prime member! The customer rating is also amazing.

Everyone has different experiences with their methods of fire pits. If getting the fire going is typically a hassle, or high winds and rain are an issue for you, then it's time to consider the Pull Start Fire. It's exactly how it sounds. Just pull the string to get your fire going in seconds.

Canned Skunk is the Perfect Side Dish for Christmas Dinner
Why go out and look for fresh skunk when you can have a good ol' bowl of canned skunk?
Forget deer season! Everyone is going on and on about how they're about to make tasty venison steak, stew, and sausage. You can keep your venison, it's all about some stinky, good canned skunk.
These critters are going to make great sides for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Head on over to Amazon for your very own can of roadkill.
Just kidding, y'all. This can is the perfect gag gift for your favorite outdoorsman. Throw this gag can in your dad's or husband's Christmas stocking and watch him lose his mind. Once he realizes it's not made of real skunk, he'll be able to have a good ol' laugh.
Can you imagine if this was real skunk? The skunk smell would probably make your whole house reek. A five-star customer review says, "Very funny." Who are you pranking with the canned skunk gag gift? If you have a buddy who's willing to eat about just about anything you can hunt, I recommend pranking him with this gag can.
Oh, the look on his face when he sees the funny gag gift. The prank will be extra funny if he's a little gullible. I know we all have a friend who takes forever to catch onto jokes. If he's curious and picks up a can opener to see what's in it, the joke will end there. There's just composted organic material in it. (It's not edible.)
Surely he'll be relieved when he sees there isn't skunk meat in it. (Hopefully.) Your buddy will be able to keep the hilarious novelty gift in his cabin for fellow hunters to laugh at.
You can find more canned gag gifts on Amazon. Choose from canned raccoon, armadillo, possum, and more.

'Home Improvement': Where is the Cast Today?
It's safe to say that the ABC sitcom Home Improvement was one of the pivotal parts of the 90s. Not only did the show air from literally 1991-1999, but across its eight seasons, it was one of the most-watched TV shows in the entire country.
Viewers loved watching comedy genius Tim Allen play Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor. Just your everyday family man in Detroit with a wife and children and his own home improvement show, Tool Time. Over the years, the show won numerous awards including a Golden Globe for Allen, and People's Choice Awards every season it was on the air.
Over 20 years since the beloved series ended, what are its main cast members currently up to?
Tim Allen
Tim Taylor hosts Tool Time with his friend Al who has to regularly remind him of safety regulations when he is demonstrating things on the air. Prone to accidents and mishaps, Tim is fun to watch despite his "know it all" tendencies.
Allen is still making it happen in Los Angeles where he has been filming the second sitcom he's led, Last Man Standing since 2011. Nearly all of his former costars have made appearances on the show. He's also well known for continuing to voice Buzz Lightyear in Disney's Toy Story franchise.
Earl Hindman
Who could forget the neighbor Wilson who you could never get a good look at on the other side of that picket fence? Sweet Wilson, and that is Wilson Wilson, Jr, doesn't show is face a single time during the show's run until the very final curtain call.
Hindman appeared on Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent before he sadly passed away from lung cancer in 2003.
Taran Noah Smith
Mark Taylor is the youngest of the family and relates much better to his mother than his father and brothers. He frequently gets Randy and Brad in trouble and even goes through a "goth" phase when Mark enters high school.
The role of Mark was Smith's only experience as a series regular. His last IMDB credit is a voiceover role in Batman Beyond. Smith literally grew up on camera and decided that ultimately, he didn't want to be an actor. When he was just 17 he married Heidi van Pelt, 16 years his senior and officially retired.
Zachery Ty Bryan
Zachery Bryan plays the oldest brother in the family, Brad Taylor. Brad is the most athletic of the three boys but also gets into the most trouble. Tim relates to Brad the easiest which is probably why he's the only son to ever co-host Tool Time.
The Aurora, Colorado native (outside of Denver) went on to appear on a slew of TV shows -- Family Law, Boston Public, Cold Case, Touched by an Angel, Knight Rider, Veronica Mars, Burn Notice, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the TV movie Code Breakers. He's also appeared in the films Thor: Hammer of the Gods and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
Patricia Richardson
The matriarch of the family, Jill Taylor, really keeps everything together despite being a terrible cook. She even goes after a Master's degree in Psychology because she decides she doesn't like her career. She has a strong personality (probably due to her military upbringing) that sometimes clashes with Tim but in the end, they always prove they are a great match.
Following her Home Improvement days, Richardson continued appearing in successful TV shows including Strong Medicine, The West Wing, and various tv movies including the recent A Very Vintage Christmas.
Richard Karn
Al Borland is Tim's best friend and co-host of Tool Time. He's a little less hip than Tim before he's also the more responsible of the two. He makes less money as Tim's assistant but somehow their relationship works.
Karn has continued to be a successful working actor over the years. He has appeared on The Rosie O'Donnell Show, That '70s Show, The Bold and the Beautiful, and PEN15 on Hulu. He was also the host of Family Feud for multiple years.
Jonathan Taylor Thomas
Jonathan Taylor Thomas was one of the biggest child stars of the '90s. He was the voice of Simba in Disney's Lion King after all. Middle child Randy Taylor is not only the smartest of the bunch but the most mischievous. Thomas left the TV series early in season 8 but made appearances through the end of the series.
Though Thomas mostly retired from acting, he appeared in Veronica Mars, An American Town, Smallville, and Tim Allen's Last Man Standing.

Want a Pet Fox? Let's Settle on a Name!
Pet foxes are extremely opportunistic and will eat anything (like my chickens) they can find! Foxes can eat a large variety of different foods ranging from mushrooms, berries, fruit and, of course, small animals.
They take a lot of special care, but f you are eager to live with a pet fox, we came up with some names!
The fox is famous in literature and Disney movies! For popular names, we spent some time researching pop culture for inspiration like 'The Fox and the Hound'.
When it comes to popular fox names, what about: Fantastic Mr. Fox; Zorro; Megan Fox; Michael J. Fox; Reynard the Fox; Foxy; Scarlett; Silver fox or red fox; What about Vixen?
There are so many famous foxes, too. What about Maid Marian from Disney's Robin Hood? Remember Swiper the Fox from Dora the Explorer? Hey, you could go with a classic like Tod from Fox and the Hound!
The fennec foxes are adorable, weigh between 2 and 4 pounds, and even look like Pokemon. Great names for them could range from Willow to Cooper; have fun with these!
Arctic foxes are typically the most rare. These silver foxes are similar to dogs in many ways, but they're typically expensive to bring home. If you end up with a silver baby fox, try out Silver Surfer or Flash!

The Tragic Death of Steve Buscemi’s Wife
Beloved character actor Steve Buscemi has played a part in so many of our most American stories, from crime dramas like Fargo, Reservoir Dogs, The Sopranos, and Boardwalk Empire to comedic appearances in The Big Lebowski, 30 Rock, and more. Nothing livens up the screen like a cameo from Buscemi, whose trademark twitchiness and familiar eyes we’ve all come to appreciate. So being a big star, you might think that Buscemi has lived in Hollywood for decades. But in fact, he is the ultimate New Yorker. And the story of how Buscemi met his wife Jo Andres is, fittingly, a wonderful New York love story. Sadly, Andres died of cancer in 2019. She was a wildly successful artist in her own right.
Steve Buscemi was raised in Long Island and planned to follow in the footsteps of his father, a sanitation worker, by getting a stable government job. He became a firefighter and moved to New York City in the early 80’s. Buscemi famously volunteered as a firefighter in the wake of 9/11 and returned to those roots recently, playing a station chief in Judd Apatow’s The King of Staten Island. On the side of fighting fires, Buscemi took acting classes at the famed Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. Living in the East Village, he naturally fell into the vibrant arts scene, seemingly at odds with the life of a firefighter. Buscemi founded an experimental comedy duo with Mark Boone Jr., “Steve and Mark.” The pair distributed their poster all over town. And the picture caught the eye of a local artist named Jo Andres.
Steve Buscemi, though generally private, opened up about his life in a rare interview with GQ. Buscemi explains that Jo Andres was living across the street from him in 1983. He had been eyeing her and pretended to bump into her on the street while walking his dog. When she finally realized that Buscemi was the comedian she thought was so cute from the “Steve and Mark” posters, the connection was instantaneous.
Jo Andres would soon make a name for herself as a unique choreographer. A modern dancer herself, Andres understood early on that a multi-media approach would draw new audiences to dance. She projected painted slides onto her dancers, with images ranging from abstract to humanoid, as the dancers themselves navigated with props of wispy tulle. The result was a sensory experience of pure mood that seemed to fulfill its title: “Lucid Posession.” According to the New York Times, critics loved her experimental performance art. By the 1990’s both Buscemi and Andres were experiencing professional success.
Steve Buscemi and Jo Andres were married in 1987. Soon after they had their only child, a son Lucian, and moved from Manhattan to the Brooklyn neighborhood of Park Slope where they remained, and where Buscemi still lives, even after Andres’ death in 2019. Their long marriage was happy, and full of support for one another’s exciting careers. Even as Buscemi was cast in more and more projects, requiring him to travel to Los Angeles, he and Andres never spent more than three weeks apart. And he wasn’t the only one entering the film business. Buscemi’s wife moved on from choreography to create art videos and short films. One of these, “Black Kites” featured both her husband and son Lucian. It premiered at the Sundance film festival in 1996 to rave reviews.
Steve Buscemi has had many near-death experiences. Aside from the dangers of firefighting, Buscemi was hit by a bus as a child (the settlement paid for his Lee Strasberg acting classes), later a car, and was seriously stabbed while out with Vince Vaughn in 2001. To survive these incidents — and go on to become a household name in entertainment — Buscemi considered himself lucky. Until he lost his wife to a long, painful battle with ovarian cancer.
Speaking of the experience to GQ, Steve Buscemi said of her final years, “The pain was the hardest thing. People who are going through that, it’s painful. It’s painful to die from cancer. There’s just no way around it.” It’s a rough ending to a long relationship that has provided fans with such an extensive artistic output. Buscemi is so alive, so cracklingly funny, and utterly strange in his various roles that it can be easy to forget about the man behind the filmmaker. He’s spent the majority of the Coronavirus pandemic in the residential Park Slope neighborhood, where is he a legendary fixture. Now on his own, Buscemi spends time painting and trying to stay creative inside the brownstone house they once shared.

No fast food joint does ice cubes better than Sonic Drive-In. Chewable, crunchy, and crave-able, Sonic ice is one-of-a-kind. But did you know you can buy bags of it at select Sonic locations?
Yes!
This cult-following ice is available in 10-pound bags, perfect for house parties. The nugget ice is scientifically designed to melt at the perfect speed to prevent a diluted drink.
Want this ice all the time?
Invest in a countertop nugget ice maker. Heck, Matthew McConaughey even has one in his Hollywood home. While the price may be steep, an at-home ice machine is the peak of luxury.
You can also ask for an extra cup of chewable ice to accompany your cherry limeade or slushes the next time you are at your local Sonic drive-thru. Keep your crushed ice and flake ice, all I want is a nugget ice machine.

Phil Mickelson’s Wife is a Former NBA Cheerleader
Phil Mickelson has been one of the most popular professional golfers throughout his long career, having turned professional in 1992.
Mickelson was born in San Diego to parents Phillip Mickelson and Mary Mickelson. His first taste of the sport came from golfing with his father and a grandfather from a young age.
His grandfather, Alfred Santos, worked as a caddie at Pebble Beach. It was as a child that the right-handed Mickelson adopted his famous left-handed swing after mirroring his father on the fairway.
After high school, Mickelson attended Arizona State University on a golf scholarship where he truly began to emerge as a star on the golf scene. While a member of the Sun Devils’ golf team, “Lefty” became a three-time Haskins Award winner and a three-time NCAA Individual Champion.
For all the success that Mickelson displayed in college, his biggest win in Tempe was meeting his wife.
Mickelson is married to his wife Amy Mickelson, formerly Amy McBride. The couple met in 1992 during their college days at Arizona State, where Phil was a star golfer and Amy was a cheerleader for the NBA’s Phoenix Suns.
When Mickelson introduced himself as a pro golfer, McBride actually thought he meant he worked at the local golf course. She quickly found out that wasn’t the case.
The two spent their first date on a tennis court near campus and hit it off immediately. Fast forward to 1996, and Phil and Amy were married. Since their marriage the couple have welcomed three children. Their oldest daughter, Amanda, was born one day after Mickelson placed as the runner-up in the 1999 U.S. Open Championship, where he lost to Payne Stewart. In 2001, Phil and Amy announced the birth of their second daughter, Sophia. Two years later, in 2003, the couple had their first son, Evan.
Evan’s birth was extremely difficult, as Amy ruptured an artery in labor and Evan was non-responsive at birth. Ultimately, both Evan and Amy pulled through.
In 2009, Amy Mickelson was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent major surgery, multiple sessions of chemotherapy and battled the cancer for 11 months, with Phil standing by her side, having stepped away from the PGA Tour, including events like the Byron Nelson Championship.
After beating cancer and being given a clean bill of health, Amy and the Mickelson family have been active in supporting awareness for breast cancer and fighting against it. Amy returned to the public scene for the 2010 Masters Tournament, and though she didn't attend the first, second, or third round, she and her children stood by Phil’s side when he won his third green jacket on the 18th green at Augusta National.
With Amy by his side, golfer Phil Mickelson took the PGA Tour by storm after turning pro in 1992. He hired Jim “Bones” Mackay as his caddie. While Mickelson collected some victories on the Tour as a youngster, Lefty failed to win a major throughout his first 13 years participating in tour events.
Finally, in 2004, Mickelson took the top prize in a major championship for the first time in The Masters. Lefty nailed down the win with a long putt in the final round, fending off Ernie Els who finished one stroke behind.
Following his first win in 2004, Mickelson's career truly took off. In 2005, Mickelson won his second major championship, the PGA Championship at Baltusrol. He snatched an impressive birdie on the 18th hole to secure victory.
That same year, Mickelson was dropped by his sponsor Titleist after he was found having praised Callaway's golf clubs in a voicemail. Titleist dropped Phil, who was quickly picked up by Callaway. Unfortunately, Mickelson struggled at the 2004 Ryder Cup, which many people attributed to his equipment change.
Lefty would win his third championship and second Masters in 2006, which resulted in him catapulting to No. 2 on the Official World Golf Ranking.
Throughout his career, Phil has accumulated 53 professional wins, including 44 PGA Tour wins. Mickelson also boasts a plethora of international victories, including 10 wins at the Presidents Cup. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2012.
More recently, Phil Mickelson took home victory in the highly-publicized golf tournament, CBS' The Match, which pitted Lefty up against Tiger Woods in a best-of-18 event in Las Vegas. Mickelson required four playoff holes to take down Woods in the 22nd round.
Mickelson and his wife Amy have been married almost 25 years and have journeyed through the ups and downs of both Lefty's professional career and Amy's health to get to where they are today.

Erin Andrews’ Net Worth Proves She’s America’s Top Sports Reporter
It looks so easy being a sideline reporter, huh? Just walk up to high-profile professional athletes, ask them a few questions in the midst of chaos, and give tidbits and factoids during in-game breaks. In reality, working clubhouses and locker rooms during massive events like the World Series, Super Bowl, and Daytona 500 is a demanding, constant grind that few people are capable to doing at a high level.
When it comes to FOX's Erin Andrews, she is among the elite sideline reporters in the game and has become a role model for women pursuing careers in sports today. But in a male-dominated space, how much does does a transcendent talent like Andrews earn after two decades in the business?
Born Erin Jill Andrews in Lewiston, Maine, she is the daughter of Paula Andrews, a teacher, and Steven Andrews, a six-time Emmy Award-winning investigative reporter. The family moved to San Antonio, Texas, when she was young and eventually to Valrico, Florida, where Andrews attended Bloomingdale High School and the Brandon School of Dance Arts.
She was a smart student who participated in student government and the National Honor Society and attended the University of Florida from 1997-2000. She was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in telecommunications. There, she was also a member of the Florida Gators dance team while in school.
Her first job out of college was as a freelance reporter with Fox Sports Florida South before becoming a Tampa Bay Lightning reporter for the Sunshine Network. Andrews parlayed that into a role with Turner South Network covering Atlanta's major sports teams — the MLB's Braves, NHL's Thrashers and NBA's Hawks — until making the jump to ESPN in 2004.
For nearly a decade at ESPN, Andrews covered everything you could possibly imagine. From the College World Series and Little League World Series to college football Saturdays and the Scripps National Spelling Bee, she quickly grew into one of the sports world's most recognizable on-air personalities.
In 2011, Andrews signed an endorsement deal to promote Reebok's ZigTech shoe. However, after citing Nike shoes as the cause of several TCU football players sliding on the turf at the 2011 Rose Bowl, ESPN forced Andrews to end her relationship with Reebok after amending its company policy.
Andrews made the jump to Fox Sports in 2012 where she continued to blossom. She was the in-studio host of the Fox College Football pregame show and reported weekly on the Fox NFL Sunday kickoff show.
In this role, Andrews' talents arrived on sports' biggest stages, including hosting the trophy presentation at four World Series from 2012-15. She's been on the field at major sporting events such as Major League Baseball's All-Star Game, on pit road for the Daytona 500, and was on the field for her third Super Bowl when the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs met in Super Bowl LIV.
In 2010, Andrews filed a lawsuit seeking $75 million in damages from West End Hotel Partners and Michael David Barrett, a then-46-year-old man who drilled peepholes into Andrews' hotel room and videotaped her getting undressed back in 2008.
Barrett was arrested by the FBI and pled guilty to interstate stalking. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison, three years probation, and hefty fines.
In March 2016, Andrews was awarded a $55 million settlement -- 51 percent was to be paid by Barrett and 49 percent would be paid by Windsor Capital Group (the hotel management company) and West End Hotel Partners, which owned the Nashville Marriott Hotel in Tennessee where the peephole video was taken.
It's unclear how much Andrews, who is popular on social media and has been named America's sexiest sportscaster by Playboy Magazine, ever received from this settlement.
In 2010, Andrews competed on Season 10 of ABC Network's Dancing with the Stars. Alongside partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the pair finished in third place. She began co-hosting the show in 2015. Andrews also worked as a contributor and correspondent for Good Morning America and co-hosted the CMT Music Awards in 2016 alongside Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt.
Andrews married Jarret Stoll, a 14-year NHL veteran and two-time Stanley Cup champion hockey player, in 2014. Stoll earned more than $28 million during his career and asked her out by sneaking past security in California before taking her on a date in Los Angeles.
She was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2016, which required immediate surgery. According to PEOPLE, Andrews underwent surgery 17 days after the diagnosis, then boarded a plane two days later to cover Fox's NFL game in Green Bay. She was deemed cancer-free shortly after.
"I'm not watching any football games at home this year," Andrews told her doctors at the time. "This is our Super Bowl year, and I'm not missing the Super Bowl."
Andrews has worked with multiple companies to promote various causes from women in sports to fighting hunger across America. Specifically, she partnered with Kraft Foods for their "Huddle to Fight Hunger" campaign. In 2019, she partnered with Fanatics to design her own sportswear clothing line for women.
Exact details of the 42-year-old's current contract with Fox Sports are unclear. The television personality resigned with the company in 2016 to focus primarily on football, and several online sources claim Erin Andrews' annual salary is around $2 million per year.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Andrews has a net worth of $30 million.

Tina Turner Began Her Solo Career as a Country Singer
Tina Turner's first solo album after a successful run with her then-husband in the Ike & Tina Turner Revue followed the lead of Ray Charles and The Supremes, but not in a way you might expect.
Tina Turns the Country On (1974) followed the lead of prior country-flavored and covers-heavy albums by African American acts: Charles' Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music and its sequel (1962) and The Supremes Sing Country, Western and Pop (1965). Like its predecessors, Turner's debut solo album gained no traction on the country charts despite it being an earnest, well-crafted homage to some of the genre's best songwriters.
The United Artists Records release introduces two fresh cuts: P.J. Morse's "Bayou Song" and Fred and Marsha Karlin's "The Love That Lights Our Way." Beyond those two selections, the track list consists of Turner's renditions of contemporary country and folk songs. Nashville nods include an album-defining cover of Kris Kristofferson's "Help Me Make It Through the Night," plus hat-tips to Dolly Parton ("There'll Always Be Music") and Hank Snow ("I'm Movin' On"). From the folk end of the spectrum comes Turner's versions of James Taylor ("Don't Talk Now") and Bob Dylan ("He Belongs to Me," "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You") songs.
Other selections include the Gary White-penned Linda Ronstadt hit "Long Long Time" and Olivia Newton-John's "If You Love Me (Let Me Know)."
Turner recorded the album at Bolic Sound Studio in Inglewood, Cal. with future Glen Campbell producer Tom Thacker. Her backing band represents West Tennessee's influence on country music and includes rockabilly guitarist James Burton and Elvis Presley and Emmylou Harris bandmate Glen Hardin.
Turner pivoted from country music after just one album, with the covers-heavy A-side of Acid Queen (1975) featuring her interpretations of The Who, Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones' classic rock hits. However, there was plenty more country material from the archives of Bolic Sound, as heard on budget CD compilations Tina Turner Sings Country, Soul Deep, Country My Way, Good Hearted Woman, Country In My Soul, Stand By Your Man, Country Classics, You Ain't Woman Enough To Take My Man and The Country Side of Tina Turner.
Although it seems like a side note in history when compared to the sustained influence of Ike duet "Proud Mary" and the future success of "What's Love Got To Do With It" and "Private Dancer," Turner picked up a Grammy nomination (Best R&B Vocal Performance, Female) for her brief detour into folk and country music.

How to Make Homemade Car Air Fresheners With Essential Oils
$20 for an air freshener that won’t last long is pretty pricey, and I’m overpaying for it. For a quick and budget-friendly hack, you can make homemade car air fresheners for under $20. There are many ways to circulate your DIY car air freshener in your vehicle. Some choose to place clothespins in their air vents. Yep, drop some of your favorite essential oils onto a clothespin for an essential oil air freshener.
Another method is using a glass jar. Glass jars are mostly associated with gel air fresheners. Fill a mason jar with your air freshener recipe and place it in your cup holder. Since there are many ways to make car air fresheners, do not get discouraged.
As long as essential oils aren’t dripping all over your seats, you’ll be fine! Be sure also to check out YouTube for tutorials.
DIY Car Air Fresheners Supplies
1. Jar
A jar is a must if you plan on using a gel air freshener. You’ll need a jar with a metal lid. It won’t take a lot of time to make your own car air freshener if you go this route.
2. Essential Oils
Maybe you haven’t invested in an essential oil diffuser yet. A few of my favorite essential oils are peppermint and lavender. Lavender is relaxing, and many believe peppermint is a great natural remedy for headaches.
A few drops of your favorite essential oils will go a long way.
3. Hole Punch
You’ll need a hole punch if you want to make a DIY cardboard air freshener.
4. Metal Rings
Metal rings come in handy for hanging your DIY car air freshener.
5. Spray Bottle
You can also add a few drops of essential oil to some water!
You can find all of these supplies at your local craft store or Amazon.

15 Affectionate Dog Breeds Always Ready to Snuggle
There are certain dog breeds known for being more lovey-dovey than others. These dogs are always happy to curl into your lap and take a snooze or cover your face with sloppy kisses.
A few affectionate dogs that make excellent companions include the Bichon Frise, Bulldog, Brussels Griffon, Boxers, and Great Danes. These dogs become like family members in no time. Some didn't make this list, but they are great at spooning we hear!
The Labrador Retriever is one of the most popular dog breeds in the world, and it's no surprise. They're known for being sweet family dogs that build strong bonds with their owners.
Greyhounds are speedy canines best known for kicking up dust on the racetrack, but there's more to them than their competitive sides.
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a little dog that defines "lap dog" — Their favorite place is to cuddle wherever you are!
Golden Retrievers are big, goofy dogs that have long been recognized by Hollywood movie producers — Buddy from "AirBud" is a prime example.
American Pit Bull Terriers are arguably the most misunderstood dogs. When humans don't force these animals to do unspeakable acts, these "nanny dogs" are incredibly loyal.
Who needs a pillow when you have an Old English Sheepdog in the family? These canines are crazy about cuddling, and that thick coat of fur practically demands to be touched.
It's not uncommon for these gentle giants to be mistaken for small horses, but don't let their size fool you. Irish Wolfhounds are simply lap dogs that eventually grow out of your lap.
As one of Hollywood's original canine superstars, Collies have proven both on the big screen and off that they're true people-dogs.
While every dog's personality is unique, these particular breeds are known for their loving and eager-to-please temperaments. Have a hard day at work? Feeling sick? Need a hug? There's no limit to the stress-relieving and mood-enhancing powers of these affectionate dog breeds.

Meet Joe Biden’s Children
It’s no secret that President Joe Biden has had a long-standing political career. The former Delaware Senator served as vice president to Barack Obama from 2008 to 2016. Currently, he's serving as the 46th president of the United States alongside his vice president, Kamala Harris.
Despite being very open in politics, his family life isn’t necessarily well-known. Many people know of his two sons, Hunter and Beau, but believe it or not, he is actually a father of four. He had his three eldest children, Beau, Hunter, and Naomi with his first wife, Neila Hunter. Beau unfortunately passed away in 1972. Biden later married his second wife, Jill Jacobs, in 1977 and they share Biden’s youngest daughter, Ashley. So, that’s being said, let’s dive in. Here is everything you need to know about Joe Biden’s Children.
Joe Biden’s daughter Naomi was only one when she and her mom, Neila, both died in a car accident in 1972. During the Christmas holiday, after Biden became U.S. senator-elect, Neila along with Naomi and sons Hunter and Beau were driving to buy a Christmas tree. She accidentally pulled into traffic and the vehicle was struck in the right of way by a truck. Both Naomi and Neilia passed away but her two sons survived the car crash.
Biden was sworn in the hospital where his children were being treated. In a commencement speech at Yale University, Biden spoke of his wife, saying, “Six weeks after my election, my whole world was altered forever. While I was in Washington hiring staff, I got a phone call. My wife and three children were Christmas shopping, a tractor-trailer broadsided them and killed my wife and killed my daughter. And they weren’t sure that my sons would live.”
Joe Biden’s eldest son is named after the former vice president himself, but they gave him the nickname Beau in his early years. Beau Biden joined the Army National Guard as a major in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps in 2003. Following his Father’s Footsteps, he also drove into politics and became the 44th Attorney General of Delaware from 2007 until 2015. Biden spoke about his son’s political prospects in an interview with The Hill saying, “ I was sure that bow could run for president someday, and, with his brother’s help he could win.”
Beau married his wife, Hallie Olivere, now Hallie Biden, back in 2002 and had two children, a daughter named Natalie Biden and a son named Robert Hunter Biden II. Beau had announced his intention to run for governor of Delaware, but he passed away in 2015 at age 46 after a battle with brain cancer. The death reportedly impacted The Democratic Presidential Nominee and wife Dr. Jill Biden emotionally and mentally. Dr. Jill Biden spoke with The New York Times about his death, saying, “After our son, Beau, died of cancer, I wondered if I would ever smile or feel joy again. It was summer, but there was no warmth left for me.” She also noted how inspired she was by Joe as a walk through the grief of losing his son.
Robert Hutner, who goes by his second name, is currently an attorney for a New York-based law firm. The 50-year-old is also the founder of the venture capital firm Eudora Global. His personal life has made quite some headlines due to his struggles with alcohol and drugs, as well as his divorce from Kathleen Buhle in 2017. They now co-parent three children, Naomi, Finnegan, and Maisey Biden. Naomi Biden, who is named after her late aunt, recently shared a sweet photo on her Twitter about her grandfather, writing “I am proud to be your granddaughter every single day @JoeBiden. But tonight, I am just as proud to be an American.”
Hunter reportedly has another child, whose identity has been kept Anonymous, with a woman from Arkansas, Lunden Alexis Roberts. The paternity of the boy was a subject of an now-resolved 2018 court case which determined that Hunter was a father. Soon after Hunter separated from Kathleen, he then began dating his brother’s widow, Hallie Biden. According to Joe Biden, he told Page Six in 2017 that the family was lucky that “Hunter and Hallie found each other as they were putting their lives together again after such sadness. “They have mine and Jill’s full and complete support and we are happy for them.” Despite the well wishes, the couple broke up in April 2019 for unknown reasons, but several sources added at the split was very amicable. A month later in May 2019, Hunter married Melissa Cohen, a filmmaker from South Africa.
At 28-year-old Ashley Biden is the youngest of the Biden family. She graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans and got a master’s degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania. She was also the former executive director of the Delaware Center for Justice, which is a nonprofit advocacy group. She later went on to work as a social worker for the State Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families. She is now set to be devoted to her charitable clothing line, Livelihood. She’s currently married to Dr. Howard Krein, a plastic surgeon at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Joe Rogan’s Muscle Cars Are Custom Beauties
Joe Rogan is has grown into a very well-known name thanks to his popular podcast called The Joe Rogan Experience. He was named the highest-earning podcaster by Forbes, even before he signed a licensing deal with Spotify for $100 million. Rogan went from hosting "Fear Factor" to a career in as a UFC commentator and a stand up comedian, all while maintaining his podcast.
As his career truly began to take off and his net worth increased, he found it easier to fund his hobby as a car enthusiast. Ever since he got his first car, an MK. IV Toyota Supra, it's been clear that Rogan had a thing for high-performance vehicles. While he's had a wide variety of foreign sports cars such as the Acura NSX, BMW M3, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and the Tesla Model S, his obsession appears to be focused on the iconic American muscle cars. Let's take a look at a few of the badass rides that have come in and out of his car collection.
He owns a restomod 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and it looks fantastic. You may have even seen this car make a surprise appearance on Jay Leno's Garage. He took the car to Jay to inspect before he took off on a drive to the Los Angeles hills. The Corvette's engineering and design was drastically improved by Steve Strope at Pure Vision Design. Rogan's car was fitted with a Chevy LS1 V8 engine with a Magnusson supercharger giving it more than enough power to back up its good looks. It required custom brackets just to fit this thing under the hood. It also features a retro-style custom interior.

Additionally, Joe added a restomod 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, nicknamed "sick fish" to his collection. The redesign of this Cuda was done by the star of the Overhaulin' TV show, automobile designer Chip Foose. As for the actual build, it was put together by Troy Trepanier. The engine was replaced with a Chrysler Hemi V8. This classic car was transformed into a beautiful work of art. Although it looked amazing, Rogan admitted that it was not very practical or pleasurable as a daily driver. After realizing that the car was much better off as a show piece, he ended up selling it to another car collector.
His 1974 Chevrolet Nova SS is truly one of a kind. Joe Rogan consulted once again with Steve Strope and stated that he wanted something very special that would never roll off of a GM assembly line. To do that, they decided to strip the car down to bare metal and fit the Nova with Camaro parts. They chopped the roof, and completely re-did both the engine and suspension. Rogan didn't get his inspiration from Chevy, instead he drew ideas from a 1980's Porsche. He wanted the car to be the fastest vehicle he owned, and the end result is stunning. It would be interesting to see how his Sharkwerks Porsche GT3 would stack up against this Nova in a race.
Now, trust me, his car collection doesn't stop here. He has much more practical vehicles in his fleet like a modern Ford Mustang, off-road capable vehicles like his Ford Bronco, and even a luxurious SUV for when he wants a smoother ride. However, it definitely appears that he takes special pride in his muscle cars. He has a great taste in vehicles, and has the ability to afford the expensive hobby. He'll often talk about his vehicles on his podcast so be sure to tune in if you want to keep up with his next projects.

Michael Jordan’s Clutch NCAA Title Shot Sparked His Legacy
Only 32 seconds remaining.
North Carolina's inbounding following a timeout. Georgetown leads 62-61. The NCAA championship game on the line.
The Tar Heels needed a bucket.
Senior Jimmy Black throws the ball into freshman Michael Jordan. Black runs across the court above the right elbow to set up the four corners offense. Jordan and Black pass it back and forth, looking for any opening in the Hoyas' 1-3-1 zone defense anchored by star center Patrick Ewing.
Black then makes an to forward Matt Doherty at the high post. Doherty faces the rim and kicks it back out to Black. Black takes a dribble to the lane and throws a skip pass to Jordan. No. 23 is open thanks to a back screen from James Worthy.
MJ rises up...
Nothing but nylon.
That field goal gave UNC a 63-62 lead. And 14 seconds later, the Tar Heels secured the Division I college basketball crown.
The victory gave head coach Dean Smith his first national title, and relieved some scrutiny after losing NCAA Tournament championship games in 1968, 1977, and 1981.
It was the University of North Carolina basketball team's first NCAA Championship in 25 years and the cherry on top of a 24-2 regular season that included two victories over archrival Duke and an ACC Championship. Jordan, Worthy, and Sam Perkins were stars.
That jump shot was the first time we saw Michael Jordan thrive on the big stage with the game on the line.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina, the Hall of Fame basketball player embraced the pressure of big moments.
Jordan played with fire at Laney High School and caught the attention of the Tar Heels. In Chapel Hill, he won a national championship, earned the Naismith College Player of the Year Award in 1984, was a Consensus All-American, and won a gold medal as a member United States team at the 1984 Olympics.
After his junior year, he left school and was the third-overall pick by the Chicago Bulls in the 1984 NBA Draft.
The 1985 Rookie of the Year award, NBA All-Star game appearances, dunk contests, and MVPs were all nice accomplishments. However, it was in the final seconds where Jordan rose above the rest.
In the first round of the 1989 Playoffs, Air Jordan floated as Cleveland Cavaliers guard Crag Ehlo flew by for an extra inch of space, nailing a 15-footer and eliminating the Cavs.
In Game 3 of the 1991 NBA Finals, he hit a game-tying shot against the Los Angeles Lakers to send the game to overtime and willed the Bulls to victory.
Two years later, the NBA player broke Cleveland's heart again when he hit a fadeaway jumper from the elbow in the Eastern Conference Semifinals to complete the sweep.
And in the 1998 NBA Finals — on the verge of a second three-peat — Chicago's leading scorer sealed the series win against the Utah Jazz with a crossover on Bryon Russell, nailing a jumper and holding that sweet follow through as the ball whooshed through the net.
Legends of the game like Charles Barkley and Clyde Drexler of the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets knew Jordan's clutchness first hand while trying to capture NBA championships of their own.
This isn't to say Jordan was perfect. His famous quote regarding failure reiterates that:
"I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."
Taking the game-winner requires confidence. Making it takes balls. That's why the Charlotte Hornets chairman is regarded by many as the best player ever.
Jordan had that courage at 19 years old and throughout his NBA career.
To have that courage, you can't be afraid to miss.

What's The Best Cheese for Pizza?
Making homemade pizza is a fun way to spice up your weeknight dinner menu. But what is the perfect cheese to add to your pizza recipe? The type of cheese does matter (unlike pizza toppings which can be anything from pepperoni and prosciutto to pickles), and it depends on three things: meltability, elasticity, and flavor. Different cheeses have different textures, and some are more fitting for the title of the best cheese for pizza than the others.
Our Favorite cheeses for topping pizza include low-moisture mozzarella, fresh mozzarella cheese, provolone, cheddar cheese, fontina, gouda, gruyere, and goat cheese. Pizza lovers and pizza makers can all agree mozzarella is the most popular of the bunch.
Once you've got some sauce and cheese on your pizza dough, you can add on some hard cheeses or soft cheeses for flavor. Some of our favorites include parmesan cheese,whole-milk ricotta, and feta. These cheeses act like a garnish on your pizza pie.

'The Thunder Rolls': The Story Behind Garth Brooks' 1991 No. 1 and its Banned Video
"The Thunder Rolls" has become one of Garth Brooks most beloved country music hits as well as one of his most recognizable. The fourth single from Brooks' 1991 album No Fences was co-writted by the superstar and renowned Nashville songwriter, Pat Alger.
Brooks was just getting started when he sat down with Alger to work on the song. In a 2012 interview with WSLC, Alger explains that Brooks found inspiration for the original concept of the song from another song that Alger had written.
"I’d written a song with Mark Sanders, who’s a great songwriter, and he’s a good friend. We’d written a song called ‘Like a Hurricane’ that Kathy Mattea had recorded. It was the B-side of ’18 Wheels and a Dozen Roses.’ There’s a line about thunder rolling in the song. Garth had been listening to that song – he’d been listening to stuff that (producer) Allen Reynolds had given him. He came in and said, ‘What if we write a song about somebody who’s cheating on his wife, and every time he does it, the thunder rolls.’ And I kind of laughed."
Though he initially thought the idea was a joke, the two men sat down to discuss the idea and actually made it work and ended up with something really special.
"And when we wrote it, I really did think it was kind of different, Alger continued. "And of course we were trying to pitch that song immediately. We were trying to get Reba McEntire and Tanya Tucker to record that.”
Tucker ended up initially attaching herself to the song, but her producer Jerry Crutchfield felt like the song was finished and requested a third verse. Though Tucker did end up recording her own version, it was dropped from her initial album so Brooks decided to make his own recording.
The original single didn't include the fourth verse that Brooks had added, which added a darker tone to the story. When the music video captured the full story that centered on a cheating husband coming home to his wife after being wife another woman, it was considered incredibly controversial. Some networks, including CMT wouldn't even air it.
“She runs back down the hallway, and through the bedroom door
She reaches for the pistol, kept in the dresser drawer
Tells the lady in mirror, he won’t do this again
‘Cause tonight will be the last time, she’ll wonder where he’s been.”
But women's shelters were supportive of the song and video, claiming that it was raising awareness for domestic violence. Though this notorious extra verse was not in a recording, the "Friends In Low Places" singer regularly performs the song in its entirety at live performances for his fans. Despite all of the controversy at the time, the music video won the CMA Video of the Year award as well as a Grammy nomination.
"The Thunder Rolls" Lyrics
Three thirty in the morning
Not a soul in sight
The city's lookin' like a ghost town
On a moonless summer night
Raindrops on the windshield
There's a storm movin' in
He's headin' back from somewhere
That he never should have been
And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls
Every light is burnin'
In a house across town
She's pacin' by the telephone
In her faded flannel gown
Askin' for a miracle
Hopin' she's not right
Prayin' it's the weather
That's kept him out all night
And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls
The thunder rolls
And the lightnin' strikes
Another love grows cold
On a sleepless night
As the storm blows on
Out of control
Deep in her heart
The thunder rolls
She's waitin' by the window
When he pulls into the drive
She rushes out to hold him
Thankful he's alive
But on the wind and rain
A strange new perfume blows
And the lightnin' flashes in her eyes
And he knows that she knows
And the thunder rolls
And the thunder rolls
The thunder rolls
And the lightnin' strikes
Another love grows cold
On a sleepless night
As the storm blows on
Out of control
Deep in her heart
The thunder rolls

‘Wheel of Fortune’ Hostess Vanna White Posed For Playboy to Pay Rent
Vanna White has been gracing our screens for years as the famous letter-turner and co-host on the beloved game show Wheel of Fortune, alongside Pat Sajak. She has been the beautiful, charming television personality of the show since 1982! But before she ever hit the TV screen, she was actually a contestant in the Miss Georgia 1978 pageant. So no wonder the 64-year-old’s stunning outfits and grace have made her one of the most well-known game co-hosts for more than 30 years.
Born in South Carolina, Vanna White was born Vanna Marie Angel, near North Myrtle Beach, in Conway, South Carolina, in 1957. She attended the Atlanta School of Fashion in Atlanta, Georgia after high school and worked as a model. Shortly afterward she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and the red carpet. She landed a few minor acting roles in Gypsy Angels, Graduation Day, Looker, and Star of the Family in the early 1980’s.
Around this time she was also a contestant on The Price is Right. (Does it count as cheating if she hadn’t been on Wheel of Fortune yet? Either way, it just doesn’t feel right!) Sporting a blue shirt that read “Get Serious”, she charmed the crowd, contestants, and even Bob Barker. Sadly, she never made it off the “Contestant’s Row,” and bid way too high on prizes!
Vanna White auditioned against over 200 other hopefuls to land the gig of hostess on NBC game show Wheel of Fortune in 1982. Within a short time, she struck stardom gold. Endorsements came, and she starred in Venus: The Goddess of Love, an NBC movie. Weird Al Yankovic wrote a song called “Stuck In A Closet With Vanna White” on his 1988 album Even Worse. She also appeared as a minor character on the Nintendo 64 game “Paper Mario” named Vanna T.
In 1987, some Wheel of Fortune viewers were shocked to see that White was actually staring back at them from the cover of an issue of Playboy magazine. To which yes, inside were some very intriguing seminude photos of White. While fans were very puzzled by her career choice, however, she didn’t actually agree to appear in the magazine itself. Hugh Hefner had bought the publication of the photographs that she had agreed to pose for in 1982, prior to being hired for the game show. Why did she decide to pose for the magazine?
Well, according to the Washington Post, she needed to do the shoot to pay for rent when she left her hometown of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to pursue her career in Los Angeles. A 60-year-old at the time, she told Fox News, “When I first moved to Hollywood, I was too embarrassed to ask my dad for rent money. I was young and I wanted to do it on my own. So, I did these lingerie shots and from the moment I said I would do them, I thought, ‘I shouldn’t be doing this, but I’m not going to ask my dad for money, so I’m just going to do it!'”
With headlines that preceded her Playboy debut adoring her saying, “How much Vanna can we Stanna?” she had also expressed her concerns about being on the cover of the magazine to Johnny Carson, saying, ‘I’m so sorry . . . I made a mistake, I’m sorry and I just hope I don’t lose my job over it.'”
After Merv Griffin hired her to be the official letter-turner on Wheel of Fortune, she begged Hugh Hefner for the non-publication of the pictures, desiring to stay away from turning into a centerfold. She even wounded up suing the magazine for $5.2 million for tarnishing her “family audience” image, suing Hefner personally. But of course, due to how big the franchise was and Playboy’s promotion efforts, she quickly decided to drop both suits.

Tuff Stuff offers a number of roof top tents for purchase, but for the latest episode of our F-150 adventure build, we went with their Delta Overland Roof Top Tent. It's got the same design as the Tuff Stuff Ranger Overland model, but without the annex room (though it still is optional and sold separately) and the additional overhang over the ladder area.
By eliminating these features, this allows the RTT to be mounted at a lower height, so you don't have to duck under the overhang. With that in mind, the Delta RTT is best suited for mounting to pickup truck beds, 4X4 travel trailers, or smaller SUV/Crossover vehicles where the roof rack is below head height.
Other features of the Delta rooftop tent include a polyester, mold-resistant rain fly, a high-density foam mattress with a removable and washable cover, all-aluminum frame, sturdy ladder, roof rack mounts, a heavy-duty PVC driving cover, and three “NO-SEE-UM MESH” screened windows with awnings. On top of that, the Delta tent fabric is high quality, breathable, and offers maximum water resistance, so you definitely won't be roughing it during your off-road trips.
Besides roof top tents, Tuff Stuff offers a number of crucial accessories, from truck bed racks to Jeep and Tacoma accessories to any other of your overlanding needs. These folks definitely got you covered for your next off-road adventure.
Remember: you can't win without entering, and you need to do so before March 31, 2021 at 11:59 pm ET!
Texas Fish Killed During Record Winter Storm
After a stretch of unusually harsh winter weather took a toll on Texas wildlife, the impact is just now being fully understood.
The Lone Star State saw massive fish kills in both fresh and saltwater fisheries, resulting in thousands of dead fish washing ashore.
"The quantification of impacts to fish is still ongoing. Rapid assessments indicate the majority of fish (by number) impacted were non-recreational species," said the Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept.
Still, the TPWD says gamefish species will be affected due to food chain interruptions, like black and red drum, tarpon, snook, sheepshead, sea trout, and grey snapper.
The TPWD is asking citizens to report animals likely killed by the extreme weather so the agency can better assess the overall impact to Texas’ wildlife.

Pink’s Husband Carey Hart Is a Former Motocross Star
We've all heard at least a few Pink songs on the radio, and there's no denying that the Grammy Award winner grew to be quite a well-known pop star over the years. But, did you also know that her husband, Carey Hart, used to be a professional motocross racer? Not only that, but he's also got a number of accomplishments under his belt.
From racing to freestyle motocross to off-road racing, Hart has been involved with it all. It's hard to have the light shined on you when you're dating a Hollywood celeb like Pink, so that's why we're going to check out what Hart was able to do on the dirt, and discuss why he's pretty much a badass on two wheels.
Born in Seal Beach, California, but raised in Las Vegas, Carey Hart turned professional by the time he was 18, racing on the AMA supercross tracks. He was one of the very first to get involved with freestyle motocross as it started to gain some traction. In '98 and '99, he was known for throwing down big "superman seat grabs" on the jumps. He even stepped it up further and did an "invert superman," which later was actually renamed to "Hart attack."
Hart continually improved his tricks and was one of the first to complete a backflip on a 250cc dirt bike during competition. He tried this trick a few times in the early 2000s, but finally landed it at the 2002 X Games in Philadelphia, grabbing himself a silver medal.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N60tdFEvgK4
Hart is no stranger to hard slams in his career. He's had plenty of them, with broken bones, concussions, all of it, on multiple occasions. One of the worst ones was perhaps in 2002 on the first night of Tony Hawk's Boom Boom Huck Jam tour.
Hart mistimed a jump with a skater and ended up having to bail into the metal scaffolding. The steel target wasn't the safest landing, and it resulted in him breaking both his arms and legs. This crash was severe enough to take him out of competition for three years. He used this time to start his company, Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company.
In 2005, he was the host for ABC's Live's X Games FMX coverage, and he did lots of other TV work, as well. By 2007, he formed his very own supercross team, H&H/Rockstar Moto Team. As he got closer to 2009, he shifted gears a bit to launch his off-road racing team. His truck competed in the short course tracks, and the team earned 40 podium finishes over the years. He competed in a number of different Lucas Oil Off-Road racing events, and was nominated for "Rookie of the Year" in the LOORR Series.
The racer announced that his final moto competition would be at the 2012 X Games. After retiring from the sport, he got much more involved with television, advertisements, and movie work. He's definitely had a wild ride to get to where he is today.
Alecia Moore, a.k.a. Pink (or P!nk, if you're super cool), was actually the one that proposed to Carey Hart. During a racing event, she held up a sign on the pit board that said "Will you marry me?" as he rode past. Shortly after, the motorcycle racer exited the race to go pick her up. They later married in 2006 at the Four Seasons Resort in Costa Rica.
In 2011, the couple welcomed their daughter Willow Sage. They released pictures of her to People Magazine, and used the proceeds to donate to different children's charities. Five years later, the couple had son Jameson Moon.
While Carey has been featured in the music videos for the Pink songs Just Give Me a Reason and True Love, both Carey and Willow were featured in the music video for Just Like Fire. Talk about keeping it all in the family!
Peeking into their social media account, it's clear that Carey and Alecia have made the most of their coronavirus pandemic lockdown time. Pink has videos sharing a new song that she and her daughter came up with, and there's plenty of other pics showing both of the children sitting on the dirt bike with Carey.
Seeing as Hart is somewhat retired now, they've both been able to slow down a bit and enjoy the things in life that truly mater.
