Dan Aykroyd Was Engaged to Carrie Fisher Before Meeting His Wife
Amid Hollywood’s numerous contentious breakups and divorces, actor/comedian/filmmaker Dan Aykroyd and his wife actress Donna Dixon’s long-time happy marriage is a breath of fresh air.
The lovebirds have been married since 1983 and their marriage is still going strong. To find out their secret, let’s take a look back at the love story and personal lives of the Canadian comedian and American actress.
Before meeting his future wife, Dan Ackroyd was engaged to actress Carrie Fisher. They met while Ackroyd was filming The Blues Brothers alongside fellow SNL alum John Belushi. “Contemplating marriage, I gave Carrie a sapphire ring,” Ackroyd confessed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Fisher reportedly called the engagement off in 1980 to get back together with her former boyfriend, Paul Simon. “We had a great time,” Ackroyd said. “She was also in love with Paul Simon. She married him but I hope she kept my ring.”
Donna Lynn Dixon was born in Alexandria, Virginia in 1957. Her father was Earl Dixon, who owned several nightclubs, most notably Hillbilly Heaven located in Lorton, Virginia. After graduation from Groveton High School, Dixon headed to George Washington University in Washington D.C. to study anthropology. Like her husband, Dixon would drop out of college to focus on her passion — which, in her case, was both modeling and acting.
In the late ’70s, Dixon won the title of Miss Virginia and Miss District of Columbia World and was a runner-up in Miss USA. She switched gears to acting in the 1980s, starting her acting career by playing Sonny Lumet in the TV sitcom Bosom Buddies.
In 1983, she was cast in the comedy movie Doctor Detroit alongside her future husband. Dan Aykroyd. Dixon and Ackroyd would go on to co-star in Twilight Zone: The Movie, Spies Like Us, and The Couch Trip.
Ackroyd and Dixon met in 1982 on the set of Doctor Detroit. Sources say that the comedian was smitten with the former Miss Virginia from the start. Dixon soon broke up with her then-boyfriend Paul Stanley so she could date him.
According to Dixon, Ackroyd popped the question right before they were about to embark on a cross-country trip. She remembered the proposal during an interview with Fran Drescher. “Basically we were about to go on a cross-country trip, and [he] said to me that after we go on this cross-country trip, alone, in a car for 72 hours, that maybe then [he] would consider marriage to you.”
According to Dixon, she told the actor, “I don’t have to spend 72 hours in a car to know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
After tying the knot, the couple would share three daughters: Stella Irene, Belle Kingston, and Danielle Aykroyd.

A History of the Backflip in Freestyle Motocross
Motocross is one of the most exciting action sports around. Stars like Caleb Wyatt, Carey Hart, Mike Metzger, and the great Travis Pastrana have taken Motocross and supercross to new heights. Freestyle Motocross features countless amazing feats but none are as impactful as the backflip. The backflip is similar to the slamdunk in basketball. It has been around for a long time but is continuously being reinvented.
The first person to ever perform a backflip on a bike was Jose Yanez in 1985. No one had ever conceived of backflipping a full sized motorcycle until the '90s. At this time freestyle Motocross was in its infancy and thriving. Casey Hart made Motocross history in the Gravity Games by attempting to backflip a 250 cc motorcycle. Hart didn't quite stick the landing but that didn't stop him from making Motocross history.
Hart attempted the backflip again in 2001's X Games and suffered some serious injuries resulting in bone damage. Hart has sacrificed his body for the progression of the sport on more than one occasion. Caleb Wyatt carried the backflip torch even further in 2002 by landing the trick proving to the world that a backflip on a full sized motorcycle is possible. Casey Hart finally conquered the backflip in the FMX Best Trick during the Summer X Games of 2002. This was the same year that Mike Metzger performed two backflips in a row on a motocross bike.
These events would set a trend in motion and change the sport forever. Backflips soon became routine for riders. In 2006 Travis Pastrana changed the game by performing the double backflip. It was on in the Motocross world after that. In 2008 Jim De Champ joined in on the fun by performing a front flip for Nitro Circus Live. In 2009 Cam Sinclar completed a double backflip during Redbull x Fighters.
In 2015, Josh Sheehan perfected the backflip to trump all backflips. Sheehan nailed the first triple backflip on a motorbike at Pastranaland in Maryland. Jose Yanez could have never predicted what his trick would do to the world of BMX and Motocross years later. Doing a backflip on a full sized motorcycle was thought to be impossible once. In motorsports, impossible is just another "world's first" waiting to happen. We've come a long way from the wheelie. If you have a dirtbike of your own, we suggest you leave the flips to the pros.

Ozone Generators: Can They Remove Bad Odor and Mold From Cars?
Ozone generator reviews may have you on the fence. In a time where the importance of clean air is stressed, you might be worried about the quality of your home or car’s air. People all over the world are putting down cigarettes and are buying air purifiers in the hope of purifying their air.
Many people who detail and sell cars for a living aren’t new to ozone machines. It’s a simple odor removal hack for them. A fresh air smell and cigarette smoke stench could be what makes or breaks a sale.
Ozone gas is made of three oxygen molecules. O2 is the natural molecule we inhale. Although, once it combines with a reactive (or a broken) oxygen atom, it becomes O3. Ozone can be dangerous.
First and foremost, be sure not to expose people, plants, or pets to the generator when it’s in use.
Allergens and smoke odors are not great for air quality. These could be the reasons why you have a dry throat, itchy eyes, or ongoing cough. There are many air purification methods, but ozone generators are known to get rid of mildew.
Amazon has a variety of ozone generators. If you’re interested in increasing your indoor air quality and understand the risks of using one as an air cleaner, this option is an excellent choice for small spaces and large areas.

Stuntwoman Kerri Cameron Fearlessly Rides the "Wall of Death"
If you’ve ever been to a carnival, you know that the performers are no strangers to wild and dangerous stunts. But, what happens when you add motorcycles to the equation? I’ll tell you what happens, you end up with an insane performance called the Wall of Death. With a name like that, you know it’s going to keep you on your toes as a spectator.
The Wall of Death is essentially a carnival sideshow that features a barrel-shaped wooden cylinder that can range from 20 to 36 feet. Inside the cylinder, stunt riders will ride motorcycles or drive go-karts continuously around the walls, making them appear to completely defy gravity. They manage to keep the motorbikes planted on the walls as the crowd watches from above. Oh, and to add a little more to the challenge, they also perform stunts while riding around the wall. They’ll ride around no handed, no handed side saddle, standing up, and include many other mindblowing tricks. Talk about an adrenaline rush.
Kerri is one of the few folks that gets to ride for Luke Fox’s original Wall of Death troupe. Her previous career was in horse riding, and she claims her introduction to the Wall of Death world was purely an accident. She was laid off by her employer at the time and hit the job center to look for work. She stumbled upon the ad for the Wall of Death and decided to check it out.
It was love at first sight for Kerri when she was introduced to the wall. She hasn’t left since. Cameron claims that the key to successfully riding the wall is a mixture between balance, speed, and stamina, since you will need to battle dizziness as well as the G-forces.
The daredevil motorcyclist makes her tricks look easy, but I can assure you that this takes massive amounts of talent and skill to accomplish. Kerri also touches on the struggles of being a female in a male-dominated industry. Obviously, there are much fewer female riders than male, but Kerri does a fantastic job at being a positive role model for all the women in the audience. She admits that people are normally a little stunned to see her hop on the bike, but it brings joy to everyone’s faces when she unsuspectingly does circles around the wall. There’s no denying the ability that Cameron has. In fact, she’s likely got more guts than most of the guys out there, and she proves that with each and every performance.
We need more people like Kerri in this world. The biker took on the challenge head first and proved to everyone that she has the skill to do this intimidating stunt. She has a very uplifting personality and does a great job showing the world what woman are capable of. Keep on blowing minds, Kerri Cameron!

Ray Rice Was Run Out of Football, But Where is He Now?
Ray Rice will go down as one of the most controversial NFL players of all time.
The former Baltimore Ravens star was as consistent as any other running back in professional football, but a 2014 domestic violence arrest ended his career instantly.
What has Rice been up to after his time in the NFL ended?
Ray Rice had an impressive high school career and opted to remain close to home and play for Rutgers. The New Jersey school may not be competing for a College Football Playoff berth anytime soon, but they were a force in the Big East when Rice attended.
Over three years with the Scarlet Knights, he rushed for 4,926 yards and scored 50 touchdowns.
After an impressive college career, Rice declared for the 2008 NFL Draft and got taken in the second round by the Baltimore Ravens. Head coach John Harbaugh leaned on him often and Rice became a premier running back in the league.
Rice represented the AFC in the Pro Bowl three times, and the Ravens won a Super Bowl in 2012 with Rice on the roster.
In 2014, the wheels fell off of Rice's NFL career. Video footage obtained and distributed by TMZ showed Rice assaulting then-fiancee Janay Palmer (now Janay Rice) in an Atlantic City casino.
Rice was charged with aggravated assault, and Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended him for two games. The Commissioner received ample amounts of criticism for this sentence, as many deemed it much too short.
The Ravens released Rice from his contract in September of that year, and he has yet to crack an NFL team's roster since.
Ray Rice is finished in pro football and won't ever receive a second chance. It is hard to blame any team for not wanting to be associated with him, but it is interesting to ponder why Kareem Hunt hasn't received the same treatment.
He was suspended while on the Kansas City Chiefs for a similar infraction, but after serving his suspension, he signed with the Cleveland Browns and still has a prominent role.
These days, Ray Rice has worked as a running backs coach for New Rochelle High school's football team. He used to dominate games against the Bengals, Browns, and Steelers twice a year, but that feels like a lifetime ago.
No amount of apologies will be enough to give him a spot in the NFL.
Rice has made appearances on ESPN's Outside the Lines and CBS This Morning to help rehabilitate his image.
Although he said he felt physically and mentally healthy for the first time while speaking with Gayle King, it would be shocking to see the former NFL Pro Bowler take the field ever again.

This Remote-Controlled Alligator Head is Hilariously Terrifying
Every day I thank God that I don’t live in Florida. Florida seems to have a gator problem, and I’m not okay with it. (They’re pretty scary creatures.) If you know anyone who feels the same way about gators, then you’re going to love these remote-controlled alligator heads.

Is Getting Pooped On By Birds Good Luck?
If a bird poops on you or anything you own, it's said to be a sign of good luck!
The Russian superstition is based on the rare odds of actually being pooped on by a bird.
A rabbit's foot or horseshoe might be the more traditional objects relating to symbols of good luck, but we can't forget about bird poop.
With as many birds as there are in the sky, it's supposedly more rare to be pooped on by one than it is to win the lottery. This actually prompts many people to play the lotto when they do get pooped on by a winged wayfarer. Can you imagine having a winning ticket for the Powerball after getting pooped on by a bird? (Now that's some good fortune!)
However, we know that parking a car under a tree is a recipe for disaster, so you're tempting fate if you play that game. Being struck by lightning is even rarer and not seen as quite so fortunate, so it might be time to dispel the myth surrounding bird poop's sign of luck.
Now, you're probably hoping next time you see a flock of seagulls that one will just feel a few bubble guts and release some bird droppings on you. Hey, it might feel like a bad day at first, but it could be your lucky day. If it happens, go and buy a lottery ticket. Although, I hope you have a good stain remover because if you had any prior bad luck, it might leave you with a gross stain.
Don't toss out your favorite t-shirt if you're lucky enough to get pooped on. We've got you with the best stain removers. Your shirt will look fresh in no time after a drop of these babies, and a good wash.
Good omen aside, sometimes birds poop on your stuff. Hopefully, this first time is the only time. Keep some stain remover (and probably Febreeze) nearby. Animal feces may be a symbol of good luck, but it's still a messy situation!

Top 10 Revolvers for Concealed Carry
Top 10 Revolvers for Concealed Carry
Revolvers can be a strong choice for concealed carry guns, as they're reliable and easy to use.
Not everyone loves using small, semi-auto pistols for concealed carry. As a matter of fact, there's a large crowd of shooters that will only carry revolvers for self-defense.
Of course, semi-autos might be more popular, but when you get down to ease of use and functionality, it's hard to beat a good ol' wheel gun.
So, if you're in the market and want to know what the best concealed-carry revolvers are, these 10 guns are a great place to start.
10. Rossi 352: $299
The Rossi 352 shoots .38 Special in a five-shot capacity. Simply remove the gun from its holster, cock back the hammer and you're ready to roll. It doesn't get much easier than that. However, seeing as this gun does have a hammer, some may not like it. But, considering this is a Rossi, it's a good gun.
9. Ruger GP100: $725
This may be a lot of gun to conceal, but if you have to defend yourself, you want to win. That's where this small, palm-sized cannon comes into play. Firing .357 Magnum rounds out of a 3-inch barrel with a six-shot capacity, this gun won't let you down.
8. S&W Bodyguard 38: $469
Probably one of the two or three most popular revolvers for concealed carry, the lightweight Bodyguard just won't let you down. The hammerless design won't get stuck in your pocket and the five-shot capacity of .38 Special ammo will make you feel safe and sound. It's a black beauty, too, and those looks make it one of the best revolvers you can own.
7. Ruger LCR-22: $499
Wait... a .22? Yes. When it comes to a situation where you need a gun, any gun is better than no gun. The concealability of the LCR is second to none, and being able to produce one in a hurry can make the difference between life and death. What you might lose in stopping power, you'll gain in follow-up shots. The LCR allows for an eight-shot capacity of low recoil, highly accurate rounds.
6. Smith and Wesson 442: $749
Looking for another hammerless option? Alongside other Smith & Wesson J-Frames, this model has gained a lot of popularity in the United States in regards to self-defense performance.
5. Taurus Protector: $615
Who doesn't love a small .357 revolver that can be concealed super easily? Well, Taurus sure figured it out here. This small little pocket shooter only has a 2-inch barrel. After that, it fires five rounds of either .38 Special or .357 Magnum. Regardless of your choice, this is a good one, and far easier to carry than the Taurus Judge.
4. North American Arms .22 Revolvers: $209
[embed_recommendations]
The size of these revolvers alone will astonish you. The .22 Short pictured above has a barrel length of just 1.125 inches. Ultra-light and inexpensive, these not only make a great sidearm, but also eliminate any excuses for not being armed once and for all.
3. Ruger Super Redhawk: $1079
Got some extra money laying around and want a gun that can put down the threat with one shot? Well, here you go. From bad guys to grizzly bears, or anything else between, this gun should have an advantage over most semi-automatic pistols. However, the stainless steel Ruger Super Redhawk will be harder to conceal than others, but for a winter carry gun, go for it. You can get this gun chambered in .44 Magnum, .454 Casull or even .480 Ruger, all sporting a six-round capacity.
2. S&W Governor: $769
When the situation is calling for it, reach for the Governor. Feel at ease knowing you will be firing .410 shotgun shells at the bad guy who won't know what to do when those rounds start going off. This gun just flat out overpowers about anything you would encounter.
1. Taurus Raging Bull: $641
The .44 Magnum is a great round for self-defense. The problem is most guns that can fire this round are big, bulky and not designed to be concealed. Thankfully, Taurus has the Raging Bull. This gun can deliver a five- or six-round capacity of either .44 or .454, depending on your preference. Regardless of your method of personal defense, this is a gun you can trust your life with.

Adding Vinegar in Your Laundry is a Genius Household Tip
Did you know distilled white vinegar is the perfect solution for odor, dulled clothes, or lint buildup? Yes! Use vinegar in your washing machine and your clothes will thank you. The acidity helps to break down stains or odors in a similar way that bleach gets rid of stains. Except for a cup of vinegar is less harmful than some harsh chemicals found in cleaning products.
White vinegar works best for this, containing the perfect amount of acidity to clean and deodorize without causing harm to your clothes. If you only have cider vinegar, make sure to dilute it before use. Simply add half a cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle in your washer for brighter colors and to remove yellowing deodorant marks from dark clothing. Use a spray bottle to spray your colored clothes.
You can either pour in the vinegar manually at the start of the rinse cycle or add it into the fabric softener dispenser. For a stronger method, add a cup of white vinegar to a large pot of water. Bring the water to a boil and put the clothing items in. Leave them to soak overnight and then wash them in the washing machine. This wash cycle method is for stubborn or especially dark stains, but it should only be used on 100% cotton.
It also helps get rid of mildew smells as well as lint from pet hair. It even softens fabrics as a natural fabric softener! Who knew that white vinegar could be so versatile when it comes to your load of laundry?
Did you know white vinegar is also a great DIY washing machine cleaner? Clean your laundry room with this magical liquid. Washer hoses can collect laundry detergent scum and mineral deposits from hard water, which makes it harder for them to clean effectively. To counteract this, it's recommended to run a wash cycle with an empty washer, using two cups of white vinegar and hot water. This should be done a few times a year for a nice, clean washer that works efficiently!

10 of Charley Pride's Greatest Songs
There's been so many great Charley Pride songs over the years that the country music legend became RCA Records' best-selling solo artist since Elvis Presley. The Sledge, Mississippi native's career accomplishments include 29 No. 1 hits, spread out between 1969 and 1983, plus numerous other songs that've stood the test of time and a shelf full of Grammy awards.
This top 10 list favors country songs made famous by Pride, eliminating noteworthy covers of Ronnie Dove's "Mountain of Love," Kris Kristofferson's "Me and Bobby McGee" and "Help Me Make It Through The Night" and Hank Williams' "Kaw-Liga," "Honky Tonk Blues" and "You Win Again." It also skips quite a few well-deserved No. 1 hits, such as "Wonder Could I Live There Anymore," "I Can't Believe That You've Stopped Loving Me," "It's Gonna Take a Little Bit Longer," "A Shoulder to Cry On," "Don't Fight The Feelings of Love," "My Eyes Can Only See as Far as You," "She's Just an Old Love Turned Memory," "Never Been So Loved (In All My Life)," "You're So Good When You're Bad," "I'd Rather Love You," Then Who Am I," "She's Too Good to Be True" and "Amazing Love." Other songs overlooked include the great gospel songs off Let Me Live and Henry Mancini team-up "All His Children."
In short, there's lots of great tunes (many of which are love songs) by Pride, a beloved member of the Grand Ole Opry. Picking his 10 greatest hits is a tall task, so we approached this more as a jumping-off point for anyone learning about or rediscovering Pride's music, not as a definite list of his best songs.
"The Snakes Crawl at Night"
Pride's debut RCA single arrived in December 1965. The Mel Tillis-written, "Cowboy" Jack Clement-produced "The Snakes Crawl at Night" introduced listeners to country music's next great vocalist through a chilling tale of a man who gets revenge on his cheating wife and her secret lover.
"Someone Loves You Honey"
"Crystal Chandeliers" isn't the only often-covered song popularized by Pride. His 1978 hit became the signature hit for reggae singer J.C. Lodge in 1982 and a dance sensation for Lutricia McNeal in 1998. Consider it further proof that a good song's a good song, regardless of its singer's preferred genre.
"Night Games"
Pride's 29th and final No. 1, 1983's "Night Games," proved that not even slick production could water down the delivery of one of country music's all-time great storytellers. For more prime Pride from the '80s, check out his 1981 album Roll on Mississippi (featuring the great song "You Almost Slipped My Mind") and 1984's The Power of Love.
"You're My Jamaica"
The escapist beach bum appeal of Jimmy Buffett informs this chart-topper from 1979. Over 25 years later, Pride re-recorded the song as a duet with Neal McCody for McCoy's 2005 album That's Life.
"I'm Just Me"
Pride spoke for everyday people as effectively as his peer Tom T. Hall and other master storyteller with the title track from a 1971 album. It's one of Pride's better albums because of such deep cuts as a cover of Conway Twitty's "Hello Darlin'."
"Where Do I Put Her Memory" (from the album Burgers and Fries)
Perhaps the best cross between Pride's honky-tonk roots and his penchant for singing Kenny Rogers-style love ballads appears on his classic album Burgers and Fries. Jim Weatherly wrote this must-hear example of Pride lamenting the lovesick blues.
"I'm So Afraid of Losing You Again"
Dallas Frazier of "Elvira" fame co-wrote Pride's second No. 1. Instead of chasing Nashville trends circa 1979, Pride and his team dialed the clock back to the "Tear in My Beer" style honk-tonk numbers from the country star's formative listening years.
"All I Have to Offer You (Is Me)" (momentum began with his No. 9 hit from 1966, "Just Between You and Me")
Momentum building since Pride's No. 9 hit from 1966, "Just Between You and Me," culminated three years later with this, his first No. 1 hit. It was the first song by a Black man to top the Billboard country charts since 1944. That year, both the Nat King Cole Trio and Louis Jordan scored crossover country hits.
Read More: Meet Charley Pride's Musically Talented Sons
"Is Anybody Goin' to San Antone"
Pride's second best-known song tells of the sort of downtrodden character you might expect from Kristofferson. In this case, our hapless hero's hitchhiking far away from a broken relationship.
"Kiss An Angel Good Mornin'"
Most of the time, a classic artist's most obvious song became that famous for a reason. That's the case here, as "Kiss An Angel Good Mornin'" qualifies as one of the greatest country singles of its time and a fine example of Pride's vocal gifts and rural charm.

Inside James Hetfield’s Unbelievably Cool Car Collection
You know your car collection is cool when the Petersen Automotive Museum has some of your clutch pieces on display. "Reclaimed Rust: The James Hetfield Collection" features 10 custom hot rods from the Metallica frontman's personal collection.
The exhibit at the Petersen was supposed to run through 2020 before heading on a world tour, but then COVID-19 happened, which turned most certainties into a shiny bouquet of question marks. Therefore, if you can't get to the museum in Los Angeles, California before it closes, you can always purchase the accompanying book, Reclaimed Rust:the Four-Wheeled Creations of James Hetfield.
Rock stars and classic cars go together like a piston and rod, but Hetfield's collection goes beyond the odd custom coupe or roadster.
His first exposure to custom cars was through his father, who built and restored in the family garage. Then there was his brother's Plymouth Barracuda, which he famously wrecked and put back together with Bondo. But things really took off in the parking lot of the original McDonald's in Downey, California, which had an incredible hot rod scene during Hetfield's childhood.
Hetfield's first personal build was a 1953 Buick Special. He joined the Beatniks Car Club, which he considers his first real entry into custom car culture. One of the cars in the Petersen collection-- a 1963 Lincoln Continental by the name of "Dead Kennedy"-- reflects Hetfield's changing style over time.
Every hot rod in James Hetfield's collection is a custom car in the full sense of the term. It doesn't just have a custom paint job or interior, the whole bespoke car came out of Hetfield's mind, with design and building input from experts, most notably, Rick Dore, including the Black Pearl, Aquarius, and Skyscraper. Scott Mugford of Blue Collar Customs was also involved in vehicles like the Iron Fist and Str8Edge.
Here are a few highlights from the collection, though admittedly, it's really hard to do these amazing beauties justice in print. As you can imagine, James Hetfield's car collection is just as eclectic, exotic, and mind-blowing as the heavy metal guitarist and vocalist himself.
The inspiration for The Black Pearl was a 1948 Jaguar, but only the outer frame rails are original to the model. The engine is a Ford V8, and the rest of it is custom built.
The Black Pearl has a certain liquid sexiness to it that can be found in many of Hetfield's collection. The suicide-style doors blend seamlessly into the sweeping Art Deco styling, resulting in a teardrop shape that every 1930s European touring vehicle aspired to have.
Aquarius is a jaw-dropping sight to behold. In fact, James Hetfield recommended the Petersen display this particular vehicle on a turntable to allow the crowd to appreciate its beauty from every angle.
Once you get past the angelic glow of its silver exterior, there's the matter of its sultry shape. The styling inspiration was the 1939 Delahaye Type 165, though the rear fins, peaked windshield, and removable hard top hearken back to the American hot rods of the 1950s.
Designed to be a "floating car" with the wheels hidden from view, Aquarius seems to glide over the roads, though Hetfield admitted in an interview that sometimes getting over the odd speed bump was a little nerve-wracking.
There's no missing the smoldering red visage of Voodoo Priest. At one point in its life, Voodoo Priest was a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr. It's owner served in Vietnam, came home, left the car in his mother's driveway, and disappeared.
If the red paint and strange backstory don't capture your attention, then how about the 4.4L V12 engine that powers the strange beast? Three Stromberg 97 carburetors and some upgrades later, and this flame-shaped vehicle blazes down the road.
The styling of Voodoo Priest is so remarkable, it won the 2012 H.A. Bagdasarian Award for the “World’s Most Beautiful Custom.”
A result of James Hetfield's several collaborations with Scott Mugford, Str8Edge is unusual for a few reasons. First of all, it's a bright royal purple with a pristine white interior. Next, because it's a pickup truck. And beyond what you can see in the final product, it was already partially restored when Hetfield got his hands on it.
At one point, it was a 1956 Ford F-150. Since then, it's been customized to look like the future we dreamed of in the 1960s. It's got slick winged taillights, and a hot-rod style vented hood. It rides low, barely skimming the ground, and giving the crowd a lot to look at and a lot to like.
Legend has it that Str8Edge was one of the most difficult custom builds, based on a truck that had been chopped up to carry around its previous owner's golf cart. Today, however, it's receiving just the right level of admiration for a beast of its beauty.
Reclaimed Rust includes 10 of James Hetfield's personal hot rods. From the lilac-colored Buick Skylark know today as the Skyscraper roadster to the bronze-tinted Slow Burn with its outrigger rear wheels, the collection is equal parts art and mechancial mastery. It's rare to find custom car collections that have come directly from the brains of their creators to this level.
While you might catch a glimpse of something that might have once been a Packard or a Jaguar, the exterior has been reimagined through the mind of James Hetfield of the heavy metal band Metallica. The result is an aesthetic dreamscape that defies the base description of "custom car collection."

Derek Jeter Dated A-List Celebrities Before Marrying a Supermodel
Former New York Yankees superstar Derek Jeter was one of the hottest commodities in sports throughout his playing days, both on and off the baseball field.
The superstar MLB shortstop was arguably the most eligible bachelor in the nation during his heyday, and he took advantage of the single life.
While Jeter eventually settled down and married his wife Hannah Davis, his dating history is proof the professional baseball player enjoyed it while it lasted.
Derek Jeter has been married to Virgin Islands born model Hannah Davis since 2016. They tied the knot at a wedding in Napa Valley, California.
Hannah Jeter is best known for her work as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model and a Victoria's Secret supermodel. Davis has also modeled for other top companies such as Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.
She and Jeter were spotted together for the first time in 2012, but kept their relationship under wraps until their engagement. The power couple now has two children.
Their first child, baby girl Bella Raine Jeter, was born in 2017. The pair had their second daughter Story Grey Jeter in 2019.
They keep their personal life under wraps, and don't post pictures of their children on social media to maintain their privacy.
Prior to settling down with Hannah Davis, Jeter boasted a Major League dating history, having been rumored to be with many A-List celebrities.
Most notably, Jeter was rumored to be in a relationship with Hollywood actresses such as Jessica Biel and Minka Kelly.
Additionally, the Hall of Fame shortstop has been linked to Mariah Carey, Adriana Lima and Scarlett Johansson, among others.
Following his Major League Baseball career in New York City, Jeter stepped into an ownership role in the majors, taking on a key position with the Miami Marlins, who made an improbable run to the playoffs during the pandemic-shortened 2020 MLB season.
The five-time World Series champ also founded the popular website The Players' Tribune, as a way for athletes to tell personal stories from their own perspective.
While Jeter was once loving the single life, he's settled down with Davis in retirement and is now fully a family man.

Meet Kate McKinnon’s Super Cool Girlfriend Jackie Abbott
Straight, gay, or however you identify yourself, it’s hard not to be in love with Kate McKinnon. Since joining the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2012, the comedian has blown us away with spot-on, sidesplitting impressions everyone from Hillary Clinton to Justin Bieber to Kellyanne Conway to Ellen DeGeneres to Robert Durst to Jeff Sessions… the list goes on.
Her hilarious-yet-somehow-empathetic impressions and delightful characters have won the hearts of fans and earned her plenty of accolades — including two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and the American Comedy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
But despite being one of comedy’s most brilliant and beloved minds, McKinnon has managed to keep her personal life shielded largely from the Hollywood limelight. She explained her reasoning in an interview with GQ: “I just… I decided in my mid-20s that I didn’t feel comfortable sharing personal details like I had in the previous few years. And I just have run with that ever since.”
Kathryn McKinnon Berthold was born in 1984 in Sea Cliff, New York to Laura Campbell and Michael Thomas Berthold. Kate has a younger sister, Emily. Her father died when she was 18 years old. After graduating from North Shore High School in 2002, she headed to Columbia University in New York City.
After graduating, McKinnon came aboard as an original cast member on The Big Gay Sketch Show in 2007. The next year, she began performing in the famous Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York. McKinnon also lent her voice to a number of series, including The Venture Bros., Robotomy, and Ugly Americans.
McKinnon joined the cast of SNL in 2012. In 2016, she became the first SNL actor to win an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series since 1993 (and then she did it again in 2017). She has been nominated for Emmy awards several times, including once for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics along with four of her SNL co-writers for the song “(Do It On My) Twin Bed“.
Currently, McKinnon is NBC show’s longest-running female cast member. Offset, McKinnon has starred in a number of movies. Among her most notable roles was Dr. Jillian Holtzmann in the 2016 reboot Ghostbusters, alongside co-stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Leslie Jones. Her other film credits include Balls Out, Finding Dory, Office Christmas Party, Rough Night, and The Spy Who Dumped Me.
In 2019, Kate teamed up with her younger sister Emily to release an Audible audio series “Heads Will Roll.”
We met Kate McKinnon’s girlfriend Jackie Abbott when they attended the 2017 Emmy Awards show together. Jackie Abbott is an American actress, photographer, and clown. We know from her website that she has a BFA in Drama from NYU, and has appeared in a number of commercials, independent films, and theater productions. She’s also into Argentine tango and Capoeira.
Though both ladies have managed to keep their relationship under the radar and off social media, McKinnon did open up about her sexuality during her speech at the 2020 Golden Globe awards. As she presented Ellen DeGeneres with the Carol Burnett Award for Achievement, McKinnon praised DeGeneres for the good she’s done for the LGBT community. “She risked her entire life and her entire career in order to tell the truth, and she suffered greatly for it,” McKinnon said. “Of course, attitudes change, but only because brave people like Ellen jump into the fire to make them change.”

How Did Mark Wahlberg Become So Famous?
To say Mark Wahlberg came from rough beginnings would be an understatement. A native of Dorchester, Massachusetts, Wahlberg became involved in petty crime, drugs, and gang activity in Boston as a kid. At the age of 16, the star was charged with assault for hitting a Vietnamese man on the head with a large stick and throwing racial slurs. The actor spent 45 days of the two-year sentence in prison after being convicted of a felony.
In a 2014 petition to be pardoned for the assaults (which he later dropped), The Happening actor said he was “deeply sorry” for the attack and had since worked hard to become a better man. The actor has said that the jail time gave him the motivation to leave his violent days behind him.
Despite messing up early and often, Wahlberg really did manage to turn his life around. Read on to learn how he went from hoodlum to Hollywood, and delinquent to caring (if somewhat overprotective) dad.
Right around the time Wahlberg was released from prison, his older brother Donnie Wahlberg was rising to stardom as a founding member of the boy band New Kids on the Block. Mark actually had been an original member of the band but left because he didn’t vibe with their boy-next-door image. With the help of his brother, Wahlberg was able to land a record contract for his rap group, Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. As a rapper with the group, Mark became famous for stripping down to his boxers on stage — to the delight of his adoring fans.
His antics caught the eye of the higher-ups at Calvin Klein, landing him a gig as the company’s main underwear model. Soon, he was appearing in boxers on billboards around the country.
But fame wasn’t enough to quell Mark’s rowdy ways. He was frequently in the tabloids for fights, court appearances, and other scandals. After being accused of brutality, homophobia, and racial hatred, his second album fell from the charts.
Humbled and shamed by his music downfall, Wahlberg decided it was time to say goodbye to “Marky Mark”. Now known simply as Mark Wahlberg, he began auditioning for acting roles.
After appearing in a 1993 television movie, The Substitute, Mark surprised everyone by delivering a thoroughly charming performance for his big-screen debut in Renaissance Man in 1994. He continued to turn critics around with impressive performances in subsequent movies like The Basketball Diaries and Fear.
Things really took off when Mark played Dirk Diggler, a troubled adult movie actor, in Boogie Nights, in 1997. From there, he continued on to impress with diverse roles in movies like Three Kings, The Yards, The Perfect Storm, Planet of the Apes, The Truth About Charlie, The Italian Job, and I Heart Huckabees.
Mark won best-supporting actor Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for The Departed, which featured co-stars Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Matt Damon. He’d win awards and critical acclaim for subsequent performances as boxer Micky Ward in The Fighter, a policeman Tommy Saunders in Peter Berg’s Patriots Day, a cop in Max Payne, a father in Transformers: Age of Extinction, a Navy SEAL in Lone Survivor, an electronic technician in Deepwater Horizon, and literature professor Jim Bennett in The Gambler. He even demonstrated his prowess as a comedy actor in movies like Ted, The Other Guys, and Daddy’s Home.
In 2018, Mark co-starred with Michelle Williams in All the Money in the World. His salary of $1.5 million for doing reshoots for the film sparked controversy since Michelle had received less than $1,000 — less than one percent of Mark’s pay — for the same reshoot. In response, Wahlberg announced he would donate all the money he received from reshoot to a Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund in Michelle’s name, saying in a statement that he “100% support[s] the fight for fair pay.”
Most recently, Mark has appeared in Netflix’s Spenser Confidential and lends his voice to the animated movie, Scoob. His latest movie, Uncharted, with co-stars Antonio Banderas and Tom Holland, is set to release in 2022.
Outside of acting, the Blue Falcon star has served as executive producer for TV shows like Boardwalk Empire, HBO comedy series Entourage, In Treatment, McMillions, and Ballers, as well as producer for the movie We Own the Night. In his 2014 television project Wahlburgers, Wahlberg plays himself alongside his brothers Donnie and Paul.
Mark is currently married to model Rhea Durham. They are proud parents to four kids — Ella, Michael, Brendan and Grace. And we can’t forget Mark’s hit songs “Good Vibrations” and “Wildside” with Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

Michael Jordan Found Love Again After His Expensive Divorce
Michael Jordan is the greatest. The NBA legend has six NBA championships, five MVP awards and 14 All-Star Game selections to his name, plus the billionaire Charlotte Hornets owner's net worth speaks for itself.
MJ rose to stardom at North Carolina and for the Chicago Bulls. The superstar launched his own Jordan brand apparel under Nike and even starred in the iconic basketball movie Space Jam.
Jordan's Hall-of-Fame basketball career was portrayed in ESPN's docuseries "The Last Dance," which hit Netflix in July of 2020. The most famous basketball player of all time has maintained an unknown personal life off the court.
No. 23 has been married twice, but who are his first and second wives?
Jordan's ex-wife Juanita Vanoy was a few years older than he was when they met in Chicago, Illinois. Juanita was born in 1959 on the Southside of Chicago and worked as a model when she met the basketball superstar.
Vanoy worked as an executive secretary at the American Bar Association after modeling. Jordan's ex-wife headed the Michael and Juanita Jordan Endowment Fund and ventured into real estate later in her career.
Juanita met her future husband at a Chicago restaurant through a mutual friend in 1985 during Jordan's second season with the Bulls. Jordan wrote in his autobiography he admired Juanita because she waited for him to notice her instead of gushing over him.
Four years later in 1989, Jordan made Juanita basketball's First Lady when they tied the knot in Las Vegas while their first child, Jeffrey, was still a baby.
"The Last Dance" director Jason Hehir told The Athletic he intentionally left Vanoy out of the docuseries even though she was a major part of his career.
Jordan has three children from his first marriage -- two sons, Jeffrey and Marcus, and a daughter, Jasmine.
Jeffrey Jordan was born in 1988 and played college basketball for Illinois and UCF but didn't play professionally.
Marcus Jordan, born in 1990, also played for UCF. He once wore his dad's Nike Air Jordan shoes during a game despite UCF being signed with Adidas at the time. Adidas ended its sponsorship deal with the school but Nike signed UCF thanks to help from His Airness.
Jasmine Jordan graduated from Syracuse University, where she met basketball player Rakeem Christmas. The two made MJ a grandfather when they welcomed a baby in 2019.
Jordan and Juanita were married for 12 years before running into problems.
In 2002, they filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences" but salvaged their relationship for another four years. The NBA star couple officially parted ways in 2006.
Juanita received a $168 million divorce settlement, plus an undisclosed cash payment for the couple's Chicago home they shared during their 17-year marriage.
Vanoy now lives comfortably in the Kingsbury Estates section of Chicago in a $4.7 million house she bought in 2007.
Michael Jordan's Wife Yvette Prieto is who makes him happy now.
Prieto is Cuban and grew up in Miami, where she was a successful model for designers like Alexander Wang.
She was born in 1979, making her some 16 years younger than Jordan. Prior to meeting him, Prieto reportedly dated the brother of singer Enrique Iglesias, Julio Iglesias Jr.
Jordan's Cuban-American model wife reportedly caught his eye at a nightclub in 2008. Jordan and Prieto moved in together in 2009 and he popped the question in 2011.
The two eloped in 2013 near Jordan's home at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida. The wedding cost more than $10 million.
At the reception in Jupiter, Florida, Jordan and Yvette celebrated with athletes and celebrities like Tiger Woods, Spike Lee, Usher, Robin Thicke and Jordan's former NBA pal Scottie Pippen.
Jordan and Yvette welcomed identical twin daughters named Ysabel and Victoria in 2014.

Tony Romo Married a Beauty Queen & Started a Family
In terms of star status, there aren't many superstar athletes in Texas as famous as former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. The four-time Pro Bowl football player spent his entire 13-year NFL career with the Dallas football team, where he won 78 games (but not a whole lot in the playoffs), threw 248 touchdowns and penciled himself in as one of the franchise's greatest passers.
Romo retired in 2017, transitioned to sports broadcasting and now makes more money than many current NFL quarterbacks calling games alongside Jim Nantz in the booth for CBS Sports as a color analyst.
It's no surprise that someone of Romo's stature ended up marrying a former beauty pageant queen who competed in Miss USA, but he also dated two bombshell country music stars when he was a free agent on the dating scene.
Romo's lack of success in the postseason is well-documented (remember the playoff fumble?), but he's never had a problem scoring some of the most beautiful and famous celebrities. Let's take a closer look at some of those relationships.
Romo and Jessica Simpson were the "it" couple when they dated from 2007 to 2009. They reportedly began dating in November 2007.
In December 2007, she was spotted at his game between the Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. They stirred the sports media world when pictures of them at a Cabo San Lucas resort surfaced before a pivotal playoff loss to the New York Giants.
Romo broke up with the singer and Dukes of Hazzard star in 2009 right before her 29th birthday. He reportedly broke up with her after she met John Mayer and suspected something happened between them. The kicker? He broke up with her via email.
Romo and Carrie Underwood dated briefly in 2007 before he and Simpson were an item.
The NBC Sunday Night Football theme song singer and former American Idol winner linked up with the zero-time Super Bowl winner and briefly dated before things turned sour.
Crazy enough, Underwood went on to date Romo's future brother-in-law in 2008. Hopefully she never took a Louisville Slugger to both headlights of either of their cars.
But who is Tony Romo's Wife Candice Crawford Romo?
Candice Crawford was born on December 16, 1986, in Lubbock, Texas. She grew up near Dallas, though, and studied journalism at the University of Missouri. While in school, she won Miss Missouri USA and was one of 51 Miss USA contestants to fly out to Las Vegas for the 2008 Miss USA competition. The 21-year-old beauty queen finished in the top 10.
Crawford traded swimsuits and gowns for an on-air career as a television personality afterward.
She worked in the Dallas-Fort Worth area as a sports reporter when she met Romo for the first time, and the two began going steady in 2009. That's right, he chose a reporter instead of a Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.
Their first date was hilarious because she had to hide her parents when the starting quarterback came over because they were diehard Cowboys fans.
Romo gave her an engagement ring and made her his fiancée the following year and they officially wedded in May 2011 at Arlington Hall in Dallas.
Candice Romo didn't need to marry Tony to boast stardom in her family. She's the younger sister of actor Chace Crawford, who starred in the hit show Gossip Girl. He dated Carried Underwood in 2008 after Tony Romo did. Small world.
The Romos have showed face at Dallas Mavericks NBA games together. The former NFL player himself played on the varsity basketball team at Burlington High School in Wisconsin. Candice appears to be pretty athletic herself:
Tony Romo and Candice Romo have three sons together. First child Hawkins Crawford Romo was born in 2012, Rivers Romo in 2014 and they welcomed their third son, Jones McCoy Romo, in 2017.
Tony Romo loves being a dad.

Robert Downey Jr. Threw His Drugs into the Ocean for His Wife
When Susan Downey first met Robert Downey Jr., she wasn’t attracted to him. “Not even a little bit,” she revealed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. As Susan remembers, she met the Ally Mcbeal star on the set of Gothika. “The main thing I remember about meeting him was thinking how strange he was,” she said of her initial encounters with RDJ.
Fast-forward to the present-day, and Sarah and Robert are one of Hollywood’s favorite power couple. What happened between now and their fateful first meeting? To find out, read on to hear the love story of the film producer and Oscar-winning actor.
So back to 2003. Susan was hired by Joel Silver to be vice president of production for his company, Silver Pictures, and it’s Dark Castle Entertainment division. Susan had been VP at Silver Pictures since 1999, working on films like Thir13en and Swordfish — but Gothika was her “first full-credit producing job” on the big screen. No way was she going to jeopardize this important career move by falling in love with a cast member. Besides, as we’ve said, she thought the Academy Award winner was weird.
“We were up in Montreal prepping for Gothika, and we had lunch with the director and Halle Berry,” Susan said in an interview with Hollywood Reporter, remembering the very first day they met. “Everybody else ordered Japanese, but Robert told us how oatmeal was the ‘superfood.’ He brought his own packets of oatmeal to have at lunch. And he had this box of various herbs and stuff. And then he started doing these yoga moves. I mean, he was interesting but weird.”
At the time of their meeting, the Chaplin star and movie producer were as different as two people can be. She was valedictorian of her high school class and summa cum laude at the University of Sothern California. Robert, on the other hand, was a high school dropout with a history of substance abuse, drug offenses, rehab stints, and scandal.
By 2003, Robert was on the road to sobriety and doing a pretty good job of walking straight and narrow. So, despite her misgivings, Susan agreed to go on a date with him when he asked her out. “One day [after filming], when we were on the treadmills, Robert goes, ‘Levin, you wanna go to dinner?’” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I said, ‘Eh, I’ll grab something to eat.’ So we agreed to go change and meet in the lobby and as he walked down the stairs toward me, I remember looking up at him and suddenly thinking, ‘He’s really cute.’”
After finishing the production of Gothika, Robert almost went back to his bad-boy ways. But Susan wouldn’t have it. “I said immediately, ‘This isn’t gonna work.’ I made it clear that to stay with me, nothing could happen,” Susan remembered. As it turns out, Susan’s ultimatum was the final push the Iron Man star needed to conquer addiction once and for all. In July 2003, he threw his drugs into the Pacific and promised never to dabble with substances again.
“Addiction was so foreign to me,” Susan would later admit to The Hollywood Reporter. “I was incredibly ignorant of the hold it had on people.” The Avengers star added, “Thank God for that — if she knew the depths of my depravity, we would not be sitting here.” Within three months of dating, the Golden Globe Award winner popped the question. At the time, he was still married to model-singer Deborah Falconer, with whom he shares a son named Indio.
Although she declined his initial offer, Susan eventually accepted his proposal of marriage. However, she demanded that they put off their wedding for two years to see if the Dolittle actor would keep his word and stay away from substances. He did — and the two were married in the Hamptons in 2005.
Today, Robert and Susan are still going strong after more than 15 years of marriage. Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie has called their marriage “perfectly symbiotic“. “The reason I call them perfectly symbiotic, it’s that they each represent the other side of each other’s coin,” the director said. “There’s no clashing over the same space, although they’re always looking in the same direction. It’s a very rare thing they have.”
The celebs have two kids: a son named Exton Elias and a daughter named Avri Roel. The lovebirds also run their own Warner Bros.-based production company: Team Downey.

Emma Thompson’s Marriage to Greg Wise Was Predicted by a ‘Witchy Friend’
Emma Thompson’s marriage to actor Greg Wise was prophecized in the stars. It did, however, take a while for Greg to get the message. When his psychic friend Helen predicted that he would meet his future partner while filming the movie rendition of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, Greg knew who it had to be. Of all his co-stars in the Ang Lee film — including Kate Winslet, Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman, and Emma Thompson — only Kate Winslet wasn’t married.
Emma told the story on The Graham Norton Show. “He assumed it wasn’t me because I was married and quite a lot older than him so he thought it might be Kate,” the Academy Award winner explained. So Greg asked his co-star Kate on a date to a Glastonbury festival. “But it was the wrong call,” Greg admitted to The Express.
Luckily, Kate had noticed the chemistry between Greg and Emma, who incidentally was also the film’s screenwriter. “She pointed out that we were right for each other and told me that Emma’s marriage was over,” Greg remembered. Greg got it right the second time. Nowadays, he tells the story of how they met a little bit differently “Before I started filming Sense and Sensibility, a witchy friend of mine said you are going to meet the love of your life and 25 years later, I am still with Em!” he said in 2019.
For Emma, the relationship also seemed to come at just the right time. The same year, the British actress, born in London England, had divorced her husband of six years amid rumors that her husband had an affair with actress Helena Bonham Carter. Emma had met Kenneth Branagh way back in 1987 when they co-starred in the BBC TV miniseries Fortunes of War, for which Emma won a BAFTA Award. After marrying Kenneth in 1989, the pair continued to work together and even started their own production company before their divorce in 1995.
“The only thing I could do was write,” the Harry Potter star told The Telegraph. I used to crawl from the bedroom to the computer and just sit and write, then I was alright, because I was not present. Sense and Sensibility really saved me from going under, I think, in a very nasty way.” According to the Nanny McPhee star, she channeled her heartbreak when for her iconic scene in Love Actually.
“I’ve had so much bloody practice at crying in a bedroom, then having to go out and be cheerful, gathering up the pieces of my heart and putting them in a drawer,” the Golden Globe winner explained.
Things turned around when Greg and Emma started dating. Four years after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Gaia into the world. Another four years after that, The Crown actor and Late Night actress were married in Dunoon, Scotland, with Gaia as their flower girl.
The same year they were married, the family welcomed an adopted son named Tindyebwa Agaba into their clan. “Tindy” was a Rwandan orphan and former child soldier who fled the genocide to find refuge in the U.K.

Dale Earnhardt’s Daughter Taylor Is a Pro Rodeo Competitor
It's no secret that the Earnhardt family loved surrounding themselves with motorsports and horsepower, but did you know they also had a thing for horses as well? Seven-time NASCAR Champion Dale Earnhardt Sr. kept lots of them on his private estate as his kids were growing up, and his daughter Taylor Nicole Earnhardt developed a real love toward these animals.
It eventually turned into a passion, especially when she found out about competing in different rodeo events. Her father, being a NASCAR Hall of Fame driver and team owner of Dale Earnhardt, Inc. (DEI), taught Taylor to use that same competitive nature to thrive in the world of barrel racing. Her skill in the sport quickly brought her to become a professional rodeo competitor, which she still continues to do to this day.
Even on top of her career surrounding horses and rodeos, she still finds time to help others. Taylor acts as the spokeswoman for the Dale Earnhardt Foundation, alongside her mother Teresa Earnhardt. This organization commits itself to children, education, and environmental preservation, and they've raised millions of dollars to support their cause so far.
Even though Taylor stays extremely busy in her professional career, she's managed to expand the Earnhardt family as well. Back in 2012, she got married to her husband Brandon Putnam in Mooresville, North Carolina, officially making her Taylor Earnhardt Putnam. As she walked down the isle, "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts was the song of choice, and the two rode to the reception in a cherry red 1946 pickup truck from Dale Earnhardt's classic car collection.
Back in 2016, Taylor and Brandon welcomed their beautiful first child to the world, Sage Nicole Putnam. She may be only four years old, but judging by Taylor's Instagram, she's already been surrounded with some pretty awesome experiences. You can check out even more pictures and video updates on her page.
Something tells me this child is going to love horses as she gets older. Taylor knows the value of family thanks to how she grew up, and it certainly seems like she'll be giving her child the best life possible.
Between Taylors success in her own life, and Dale Earnhardt Jr/Sr's success in racing, there's definitely something great in the Earnhardt bloodline. It's awesome to see everything that Taylor was able to accomplish, while also creating a family for herself. Earnhardt Sr would be proud.

Remastered Footage Shows Mario Andretti Race in 1966 Indy 500
Whether you’re a diehard auto racing fan or just a casual spectator, you’ve likely heard the name Mario Andretti. Boasting a career spanning more than 30 years, Andretti pretty much did it all, racing in everything from Formula One to IndyCar to USAC to NASCAR. With a Formula One World Championship, four IndyCar titles, and numerous other awards and accolades under his belt, Andretti will not only go down as a racing legend, but an overall sports icon.
Of course, despite having plenty of victories throughout his career, Andretti had his fair share defeats, too. And, many of those crushing defeats came at the Indianapolis 500. Yet, even in defeat, Andretti was really something else to watch on the track. In the above remastered footage from Indianapolis Motor Speedway, we get an incredible POV look at Andretti running a lap during the 1966 Indy 500. It’s hard to imagine that this happened more than 50 years ago. Just check out at how amazing that looks!
Now, like 28 of his 29 attempts at the Indy 500, Andretti’s ’66 running ended in disappointment. Despite leading for 11 laps, he eventually had to drop out due to a valve issue. It wasn’t until three years later, at the 1969 Indy 500, when Andretti took his first, and only, trip to victory lane at the Indianapolis race.
Unfortunately, this win came with a steep price and spawned what many refer to as the “Andretti Curse,” which kicked off a string of bad luck at Indianapolis Motor Speedway that not only affected Mario, but also his son Michael, his son Jeff, his nephew John, and his grandson Marco. Reputation wise, most racers probably couldn’t bounce back from a “curse” of that magnitude. But most racers aren’t Mario Andretti.
Mario Andretti’s valve issue wasn’t even close to being the only mishap at the 1966 Indy 500. Following a first-lap crash involving Billy Foster and Gordon Johncock, 11 racers were eliminated right off the bat, including Foster, A.J. Foyt, Gary Congdon, Cale Yarborough, Arnie Knepper, Al Miller, Bobby Grim, Larry Dickson, Ronnie Duman, Billy Foster, Don Branson, and Dan Gurney (who you may remember for his famous Eagle car and as the founder of All American Racers). Though they were also involved in the crash Johncock, Carl Williams, Mel Kenyon, Joe Leonard, and Bud Tingelstad, were able to successfully restart the race.
Of the 33 competitors, only SEVEN ultimately finished, marking the fewest finishers ever in an Indy 500. But, the problems didn’t stop there.
Despite a promising run from rookie Jackie Stewart — who led for 40 laps in John Mecom’s Lola T90-Ford, but was eliminated after his oil pressure dropped too low — Firestone-sponsored Graham Hill was declared the winner, with Jim Clark getting second and Jim McElreath getting third. However, this victory was marred in controversy, as Clark and his Lotus team thought that should have been declared winners. It was later theorized that when Al Unser’s car, having been painted nearly identical to Clarks, crashed out on lap 161, Clark was mistakenly dinged, leading to him dropping back significantly in the restart position.
Unfortunately for Clark, when the standings were released the day after the race, they remained unchanged and Colin Chapman and Andy Granatelli, the entrants of Clark’s Lotus team, declined to file an official protest. Apparently Mario Andretti wasn’t the only racer to have bad luck at the Indy 500.
