Hey guys, you see me with my hands in my pockets more this year it will be because I like my pockets??? The project we’ve got here, lowering that deck down so that whenever snow gets on there it doesn’t catch. We’re going to be 5 inches down. So that it will slip off the sides. It’s going to be low enough that we’re probably not going to put handrails off to the sides. And then the steps going to go on top of the concrete here that we’re going to pour. Which we’ve already dug out, you missed out on that. Little bit of sweat, when we got to that. So we'll give you videos as we go along.
We had to get in a hurry because we've got a storm coming. So we did. Sorry we didn't take you all the way through this. But to explain we had makes the concrete. Put it in. Finished it, to get some soup on top and get the rocks down. Rush finish on that, hopefully that'll be as you can see, it's green stuff they call green concrete. And this is, you know, older, gray. That’ll turn gray and it’ll be almost light gray tomorrow. Then we frame to a bigger the actually deck was smaller than is now. And we made it bigger so they could come out around the door. The step will be over that way. And then they can go in with the groceries. And then what I did over here was I split the steps. So it has three even distances. Later on.
Tomorrow, we're going to fill all this in with solid wood. All that will be solid wood. And then we'll do the same on this side tomorrow. We'll see more tomorrow.
What we've done is made it with the steps are even like we did on the other side. This is how we supported it, because it's less than five and a half inch. It's as far as width support. We had to use 2 to 4 and then support them and we used materials we had here, and maybe more than what we needed.
And so we'll fill this in with, with two by sixes and then we'll come along and fill all this solid underneath, all the way around and it will hold up to heavy duty loads.
Hi guys. This is the final decision. He changed his mind and wanted to put some handrails up and we put some handrails up and filled in everything solid. Later on, whenever the moisture gets out of the boards, two months, three months. We’ll stain it and probably paint this too.
At the same time accent color all the steps are even. And now, when he puts a carport over here, he can get it from either vehicle. So job is accomplished, and everybody’s happy.

Transcribe:
Hi, guys. This is a little project that they were getting a lot of rot at the bottom of the well house. And he asked me if I could figure out a way to fix it so it would not continue and make it look better. So we're going to do is use a metal roofing materials, metal on the outside. And then I had some green left over.
I told him I'd use green. And so what we're doing, what we did is beings that this looks like, it's down in the ground a little bit. I went and did the rest of it from the bottom of the siding, measured up three foot, and we’re going to put the j-channel on first and we're going to put the metal, which is over there, and we'll probably have to cut it off in this area or dig it out.
Also, the classic mistake that I made in the past is whenever I put j-channel on both the door and the the wall end up being a clash there. And it would not let the door open all the way. So, uh, we're going to start with a 45 right here so that I can put another 45 out there and the door can be opened up all the way.
And then we're going to cut right here. So I'll do is I’ll mark. Like so, that way I know where it's at. So and then we're going to fasten this with the regular drywall screws and I'm going to cut the 45 here like I was talking about, and we're going to fasten this J channel. So we'll have something pretty at the top.
He doesn't really care that much, but I do. I want him to be happy, not be unhappy. I think you might have seen me do it on other videos. So the width of this is about a half an inch, so I'll just go an inch on either side of that center. And then I cut over to it in the middle and I make it look really easy.
But it's not as easy as all that. Then I cut that notch out. What it does is let me close up like so. So then I got to... Ty, do you want to hold this? And if that on that long, you got the same thing over here. See? Kind of freehand. And, let’s see, it should be out here three quarters past how people are.
Just got through telling a guy, the day I stop making mistakes is the day I’ll be dead. I don't make a lot of mistakes. I'll try not to, but I do make mistakes. Again I'm doing this 45. Just need to cut a little bit out of it.
There we go. So we're going to fasten this and we'll show you the end result. Then we'll show you putting the metal up and everything all together.
Hey, guys, we've put the j-channel up like we said. I found a one, and I want to spend the extra money because it's already way lower than you could ever get. But, uh, I folded it in a corner in the middle of all these ridges, and then I've cut an angle out of it because the dirt over here ends up getting higher on the side. So we're gonna slip this in. Slide it up inside. Go ahead and fasten here at the top there now? Yeah. Put one on the bottom.
One, two, three. And now means that, uh, on that one there.
And then try to stay away from the rotted bottoms. And stay up in here. All right, You go all the way round and there where the door is we’ll have to leave a cut where that metal will be apart from each other. So. See ya.

I will try to answer with hope to be simple enough and understandable enough to help other people with questions about the same subject .
First, let's keep in mind vents in a block or concrete wall foundation will have pressing need of how to dispose of water or moisture trapped under the house for any number of reasons. The foundation for concrete or block is dug into the ground causing a tendency to keep moisture under the house.
That also brings another subject of houses installing plastic on the ground to keep moisture from wicking up because unlike a mobile home conventional homes have no vapor barrier installed on the floor joists. Now more and more new mobile homes are installing this vapor barrier thinking this should be the same situation . Mobile homes have a vapor barrier already protecting it.
Still, we might say why not? OK, whenever I crawl under a house or a mobile home with plastic on the ground they are large amounts of water on top of the plastic from the leak. At age 56 these memories are still vivid. Sometimes a pond of water is kept by plastic.
And guess what in the winter with a diligent homeowner the vents will be closed. Guess how much vents are helping now. Even with vents guess how long it takes to get rid of the ponds of water trapped under a house. A LONG TIME MY FRIENDS.
Any plumbing needs protection from cold weather. Vents allowing cold winter winds many times below 0 will want to be closed. Makes sense, does it not.
So now we are discussing venting in good weather. Funny thing about mobile home skirting other than block or concrete. It does not hold back water. Guess what? It does not hold water underneath either.
Now an exception to this will be when you have plastic on the ground. Now, this great idea of plastic is catching and holding water that might be rolling from the yard under the skirting. Now let's get to vents or areas that vent, consider that every rib 9 inches open under the top front. So a 70-foot house has 172 feet around it. It also has 230 ribs plus four corners also open at the top.
Finally, as long as I have been installing mobile home skirting not once has there been a complaint about lack of venting been the problem. NOT ONCE IN 30 PLUS YEARS.

All right. So now we're getting ready to start a very complex area, which is right here. Need to have a bucket around, so you can keep cleaning. And in this case, we have a bit of a sink, but I don't really like to see.
So anyway, we're going to wipe all this down with sponges just a little bit and make sure everything is pushed solid in. I want to make sure to get those grooves cleaned out. Okay. Now, on a little bit hanger.
OK, we got that corner cut over this. All right, there's a start. I want to keep cleaning up, getting it out of those grooves cleaned up inside here so the grout won't have a different color sticking out, which we'll do, and then we'll get back with you. For one thing I should note is that we had loose drywall around the frame here.
We put screws in so it wouldn't move. We don't want any of that movement. And we nail down all the staples and nails and things, but running a hammer over it. And then finding it and then hammering it down and then again, we'll show you as we go across for the lighting, but there's a start of the corner and we start moving the across back and forth.

So, we're getting ready to make some grout on the tile in this Sistine stone sliding glass door corner shower, that's a long name.
And what I usually do. I mean, I can mix it up in big pans, but we have a very small space and a big buckets, and stuff like that. But we have a small, small space. So, what I'm going to do is pour water in here, this is not real level, I'll just for the whole bottle.
Then this is a inexpensive well, white dry grout. It's not sanded, non-sanded. So, it will not scratch tile and look real smooth. This is stuff you would put in the bathroom areas and glass tile. So don't you scratch your tile, things like that when it's real easy to clean out. Sanded would go on places like the main walking area, things like that.
Then I have a battery powered drill to make sure those little deals there are sticking out. This is come from a mixer that you would use at home to mix up
"Eggs"
Eggs or whatever. And I got that at Goodwill, and I just buy them up for a quarter, fifty cents a piece and stick them on the truck and use them for all different kinds of things. Fast mud. Grout. Floor leveler. It's a little bit soupy for what I want so I'm going to add some more. Think I may have to add a little more water now, too much.
All right. Now it looks like it'll be fine.

Fixing Plumbing Fails #Shorts
What a mess. This is too high. That's why they built this weird looking platform up to... So, they didn't have to mess with the plumbing. But it also meant the water heater had to go way up. Difficult to deal with, but what I'm going to have to do is take all this out. Take this union loose right here, which is what allows you to take two pieces of rigid pipe and put it together when it's really hard, when you've got it solid on both ends, you can take that.
But I've got to get all these heat the heat tape off of it and take this loose right here. Take all this out and put it back together with pex so it doesn't freeze, or at least it’s not as much and lose it. So yeeaha!!

With me? Wow, on this early morning day, what I'm trying to do is help my wife put together an incubator. You're like, oh, this is a refrigerator. Looks like. It is, we're going to change a refrigerator, that has a glass door, into an incubator. Or at least try to do that. We have an incubator, warehouse kit, and we've got to provide through the wall into the inside to fans slash heaters.
There's two of them. This is not a fancy kit, but we're going to try and see if we can make it fancier, way bigger incubator than what she had. So the first thing I would do is drill in the center. Because that's where the temperature gauges and controls are. I'm using a half inch bit.I don't know if it's good enough.
We're going to see I think it might be. So this control with another one goes on the outside. If the wires are longer, I would probably locate it towards the top. But because the wires are not very long, there's two fans for such a big incubator. I have to put it toward the center and I'll have to put a applied for it to hang on so she can see it.
But these wires need to go inside and control the fans. And since the hole is not big enough for both them at the same time, I've got to get it through one at a time. And there's a little bit of room for the little timer that we're talking about putting in.
"And we'll have heater probes, too, when the new heater comes in or when a new thermometer comes in."
Okay. So this is the cord that plugs in this is going to be here. I'll try put a piece and I'll have to make a piece of metal. Bend it and stick it out. I'll show you when I do that. But right now, this is the incubator where I start, come into your kit and these are both heaters and fans.
"We will..."
At the same time go ahead.
"We will leave links in the description to where we got these. We also plan on later doing a different type of kit, more of a do it yourself kit in case you can afford the really expensive I mean, but these weren't really expensive. They were a $125 for the basic and two heaters and then $20 total for the egg turner kits and the egg turner. We're just going to use old egg turners. There you go, I'm done."

Just to let you know, you're not the Lone Ranger when it comes to working in bad weather. We had a alternator go out on this truck last night, 30 miles away from home had to have it towed in. And so I've got to change the alternator and decides to snow. So, at 16 degrees, we are going to start working on pulling this alternator out, albeit not very easy and probably take breaks.
Oh, the hydraulic ramps aren't holding it up. Hold it up. We'll just use this piece of metal stud. Where I took out a window in a pet store, pet supply. Alternator, it is right here on top. That's kind of cool. Got to find the tensioner. That's not good. We'll be dropping it on our head. Stand up. The tensioner is right here.
Or is that an idler barring tensioner is down below? Yeah, tensioner is down below. Got to have.
You want to point to the tensioner?
You taka a, you put a looks like an Allen wrench on that one? Anyway, let's disconnect the battery, get my mental stud back up. Tiny little things bolts. Umm, alright, so let’s go get those. So, I'm taking the battery connections loose.
We don't have to take both of them loose, but I probably will because I don't want to short things out when I'm taking the wires off at the back of the alternator. I just don't want those problems.
What size is the wrench?
This is an eight millimeter on his 2006 Ford three 2003.
Okay. We are probably going to take breaks as this wind is making that temperature even worse. I'm put this where it will not fall. Wow, it don't want to come off. I'm trying. That don't want to come off at all. I'm going to go get my pry bar and break my battery. Alright.
You're touching it.
I know. STOP. There we go. I got to have screwdriver I think to pop that off. One in the back. A small screwdriver on that one. This looks like a 15 or... And then it's the one back there. You can't even see it.
Yeah.
No, the air conditioning thing is right in the way. We'll have to do that with a wrench. All right. Both socket screwdrivers pull the wires loose and figure out how to get that tensioner pulley off.
I guess you got to make sure there's some antifreeze in this thing.
Oh, we done did that.
I'm going to warm my hands up.
We don't know the meaning of surrender. Of course, we don't know the meaning to a lot of different words. Tink! We don't know the meaning to a lot of words. So, if we don't know meaning of surrender is not a big deal, but we've been taking a lot of breaks, getting back in the house warming up.
We took the alternator in, the phone because it got so cold that the phone quit working that we record with the nice phone. At some point we'll get a fancier camera, but that's been a good camera. It just said, that's it. We quit. We're out. Oh, I mean, it's so cold. I saw a politician with his hands in his own pockets. So, it's cold.
What socket sized is that?
It's a 15mm.
So, there's three bolts that are 15.
Yeah.
And then we've got the bolt on top of one bolt that is a 13 and a bolt on the back of that's a ten.
Yeah.
And then you have a 15 that goes in the front for the tensioner pulley.
That's a lot of fun. Can't hardly get my hand on that, we got a cheater pipe on the ratchet.
Pretty simple work, right?
Yeah, it's not super easy. But then again, if it was easy, Wal-Mart greeters would be doing it. You have to have the tools, you have to have the patience, have to have the willingness to do it. It helps to have YouTube to look up and see if you're doing it right, while you're getting warmer.
OK. All right, you want to put those clips on over here. What clips? I can go grab that first. The clips, the two brackets, whatever in the back. There's three, actually. So, this...
(phone died)
It's working. We stayed with until we got it. It's cold but we got it.

Hi. This is Chris of Chickens For Chicks. This is where my babies are. And I would love for you to come on along with me on my journey in homesteading and learning about my chickens and doing all that fun stuff.
Well, hello everybody. I just wanted to come on real quick and let you guys know what I'm doing with my chick flick video.
And I thought with my first set and I kind of think I'll do it with my others as my grow outs, that I would go ahead and take videos every day. So why don't you come along with me and join and watch my babies grow? Y'all have a good day. Bye.
Hey guys, I was just sitting, thinking about all the reasons I have been wanting to do a YouTube channel for several years now. And it finally dawned on me. I am terrified to do it and put myself out there, which is bullshit. If you have something to say, you need to get yourself out there. It's hard, and it's scary. But I can tell you from my husband's channel it's worth it.
So I just thought I'd do a quick video of, you know, think about it. If you want to do it, just do it. What's the worst that's going to happen? People are going to be mean. People are mean most of the time anyways. So what the hell? All right. Have a great day. Love you all. Bye.
Hey, guys. I am out here with my adults. I thought I would go ahead. I did a quick video, a couple of videos, and I thought I would look at my babies and I would go ahead and let's see if I've got any eggs. I no, doesn't look like it. You can see no eggs today from these guys. I got some eggs from others and there's Momma. I think I'm gonna come out of here and spray down their enclosure because, holy hell, is it hot, y'all?
I mean, hot. All right, let's go look at the other two babies. These are my Miss Hagathea and Dizzy and Cosmo. Hagathea seems to think that she is sitting on eggs. Listen to this. Listen to this. We get to look for an egg. That is not an egg. That is a fake egg. Now, listen here. He thinks he's all that in a bag of Doritos. He comes over here the other day and picked the hell out of my foot.
I'm all about it because he's guarded this girl. But y'all, I ain't even happy and Miss Hagetha, Hagetha the hag. Listen to this. Listen to this, what are you going to do Cosmo? And there is my Dizzy boy who guess what? He started to crow last week. Look at my girls. They're back here having a smorgasbord. Kind of wondering if they're not hiding eggs on me in this huge area right here.
And I'm kind of wondering if they're not hiding some eggs. These are my girls. And then there's my babies. Come get some.
I think that might be a boy, but every time I think, I guess I think I'm wrong. Cannot wait until somebody starts crowing. Look at that little girl. She is, like, totally hidden. Got aunt smorgasbord going on. There she is. See her? There are my ladybugs. Oh, all right. Well, I'm going to go back in. And I'm going to get over my chicken shittedness, and I am going to put out some films because hell, why not? Cosmo. Cosomooo.
Cosmo, hey, baby. Cosmo. He's so adorable. Cosmo. Come here. AKKK come here. See, you can actually pet him, but he's a little butt about it. Ah... Since we've been through all three or all two. We might as well go out and check on the babies. Look, it's the babies. Look at all them babies. If you all want to say in the comments what you think these babies are, I think they might be girls, but I could be wrong.
Here's all the babies! Look at them. They're like, Hey, lady, where's the food? You mean you came here with no food? What the hell? So look at them babies, all right? Yeah.
Hopefully, I'll have some videos up. And this will be a past tense when you get this. If you want to do a YouTube channel and you got something to say, all I can say is the haters are going to hate you. Might as well hang your shingle out and put your stuff out, because who knows what'll happen. And that is me signing off for today.
Look at my beautiful babies. Look, at there, they're so pretty.

Hey, that's a pot of gold, John.
“It ain’t got nothing in it. It’s empty.”
You threw away a pot of gold. It’s missing the gold.
“Once I picked it up and it was so light I knew it didn’t have no gold in it.”
“I don’t know what that’s going to.”
Little kid caps?
“Say cowboy, you lost your chaps?”
You know what Keith said yesterday? He said that truth goes around naked, but lies have to be covered up.
“Who said that?”
Keith, that guy we did a lot of work for.
“Oh the old man?”
Ya, who are you calling an ole man? We’re almost the same age.
“No, we’re not.”
He’s just six years older. First. I don’t think there’s enough of that to make this place smell good. A Frisby.
“We're making progress. You might fill up the dumpster a little too fast.”
Watch the bottom on that. It's got something heavy in it.
“That looks heavy too.”
It’s heavy. Like I was saying, it is heavy.
“It's like you're hurting somebody an anvil, and they're not ready for it.”
I wonder how long these things been sitting on a hook?
“Too long.”
“If Betty Crocker lived here.”
Where did Betty Crocker go? Gall lee.
“She was looking for a new town.”
“It’s a nice stove.”
Some more pickles, a 5-gallon bucket.
“She bought them, but she didn’t eat them.”
Take a razor knife and cut all of those off. Let me get that out of your way. It’s got a hammer handle in there.
“Yep, I see it.”
Hey, Harry. Yeah, I'm clearing out a trash house. Okay. All right. I'm looking forward to seeing you. Get back on your world trip.

Complete Mobile Home Bathroom Remodel Cast Iron Tub
We completely pull out the old bathroom, the tub, floor, remodel it from the frame up. The bathroom ends up with an antique claw-foot bathtub... In a mobile home. This is an unusual, unique remodel in a trailer house. Rare to find a clawfoot tub in a manufactured home.
In a mobile home, you always want to replace the particle board. If you don't it will just continue to deteriorate until there's nothing left. That will leave your new flooring in the air with nothing but staples holding it up.
Any time you're completely replacing your floor, you don't want to run each layer of the floor the same way. To give the floor strength and avoid humps, you go across the joists. You also want to add two bys anywhere you have boards meeting and along the edge of the floor.
Phil gives you several tips and tricks to help you complete your project. Also covers the different tools you can use to get the same result.

How to Level Old House Floor
Complete video showing how to level an old house, fix saggy floors and install house wrap for moisture barrier. Step by step, walkthrough of how to jack up your home, what you need to watch for. We give you all the tools we use, and explain exactly why.
First, we walk you through how to check the house, what signs you need to watch for to find saggy, uneven, and unlevel floors. It's not just the floors you need to look at, but also the walls.
Once you get into the crawl space, you can see what you need to get done, and never know what you could run across. All the beams are flimsy and lightweight. We end up reinforcing them with new wood. Usually, you would want to insulate the floors and house wrap the entire floor if you are going to relevel the floors.

Transcript:
Long day, but we've got it up to the point where you have put grout in it, need to put trim in around the windows and they have which can be upgraded to something fancier.
We put the medicine cabinet back in, and the light of to take back out, we added lights. You want to come on over here? Both here and over the shower, by feeding it over. We actually had to open up the ceiling right there. And then put a piece of wood up there and put it back up, and I'll have to seal it back up. Make it look a little better. Than that, we had two feed a wire over to here, and then over there. All that's LED.
Umm, including the light fixture. Went back for LED. And again, this is all on the mobile home that most say we can't do it.
"Yep."
Hey. Love the ceramic tile slash glasses on the walls of this mobile home and we haven't spent a fortune on it. We have spent quite a bit of money. And we're putting the unsanded grout in the crack. I know, again, some ceramic tile guy's like, oh, you're using a finishing knife, but you can actually use anything flat.
You can use a spatula for that matter, if you're really good with a spatula. I recommend it. But this is not a video about how to do ceramic tile. This is a video on about how you can do these things in mobile homes. So we'll show you a little bit later what other things we're going to be doing in this situation and what the finished product will look like.
Okay, finished product, not as fancy, as big fancy house, but it's a little, little place. I would have done a more detailed thing about how to do ceramic tile. This is more about me showing you even in the smallest of places, you can actually do that nice stuff they have in a fancy house. So, you can. You're an American not an American't. Thanks.
