Walking into Wellness
When it comes to wellness, I walk the walk. Literally.
This isn't going to be very long. We all know what to expect from Wellness Wednesday.
I discovered the benefits of walking quite by accident. I wondered how long it would take me to walk to the YMCA. Forty minutes. That's longer than I walk to any park, or gym now, plus there were hills. It's flat here.
I'd walk to and from the gym, train for more than an hour, get groceries on the way home and then work the graveyard shift. I'd sleep for 6 hours mostly, but I realized I started losing weight in my sleep.
I was weighing myself before bed and as soon as I woke up. I was amazed! This was truly a dis-covery. And it's still working, although I have some other tools at my disposal.
This year losing weight is not enough. It has to be fat weight. And indeed I don't even want to lose weight, we must lose fat! So the trick is shred fat, gain muscle, gain weight. It's a new trick for us.
I may have been mistaken about this not being long.
Last week we posted an eval over a two month period. We seem to be losing 1/3 lb of fat, per lb of muscle. That's an estimate. We'll check again in a few weeks.
Shredding fat makes muscles appear bigger. Don't know if we've added size or not. Haven't pulled out the tape measure in many months. Very small gains might not even register.

Holdin' Out For A Savior
The best programs are the ones you never notice. Alan Watts said something similar about civil servants. The most efficient operatives are never noticed. They do the job without hype or fanfare and the average citizen never gives a thought to the service being provided.
Until it breaks.
What many of us call "culture" is a type of program. It operates in the background maintaining the beliefs espoused by its servants. Who ever we are, we are programmed to believe that our culture is the best there's ever been. This programs us to believe that our culture is worth fighting for. Worth saving. We conveniently ignore that the same culture that provides us with art and comfort, reigns down terror on what we've been programmed to believe are "inferior" cultures.
The United States government overthrew a sovereign government, killing thousands so that Americans could enjoy bananas.
One of our oldest and deepest programs is the savior motif. It's not only culture, it's a religion. The savior shows up in the nick of time. The theme is pervasive. Money for the rent to save the family farm. The calvary arrives to save the settlers from the "savages." You know the story.
In real life there aren't enough heroes to go around and because of this people get themselves into situations they can't get themselves out of. They take risks with the expectation that a savior will arrive in the nick of time to pull their chestnuts out of the fire; to redeem their souls after a lifetime of evil and debauchery so that they can pass through the pearly gates.
There are few if any global statistics to support this idea. The stories are mostly anecdotal. "Everybody" knows someone who's done dumb shit against the advice of "common sense" and needed to be saved from a bad situation.
We might dare to imagine that if pig one and pig two couldn't rely on pig three to provide a sturdy refuge in times of imminent disaster, they'd have invested in bricks to build their homes.
Western culture has been built on lies, violence, conquest, exploitation and every "ism" in the book. It's run out of victims and in the image of the ouroboros it's devouring itself. It cannot save itself from itself so it will destroy itself. It's inevitable. No savior is coming, but that doesn't stop the scallywags from selling us hopium. Some are scheming on how they can profit and exploit on the other side, but they probably won't live that long. This collapse is moving excruciatingly slowly because the overlords have overlooked too many variables and underestimated the resolve, knowledge and skepticism of a savvy majority.

My Occulted Disclaimers
Universe has been influential in providing thematic episodes for you recently. It's reminding me to remind you that your humble vagabond is just a regular guy who decided one day to start making daily videos. We're not particularly expert in any field, with the possible exception of health, wellness, fitness and living, but only because we've been at it for so long and made so many mistakes we are mostly correct by default.
As a human entity I have been outside of the system for so long that it seems stupid to me. From my exoteric perspective the system seems more like a creature designed to squeeze or harvest the life force out of us, rather than enhance and extend it. The results speak for themselves, statistically, in metrics such as quality of life and longevity and confidence in the, system. Especially here in the US and from what I can gleen from English speaking Podcasters, a similar malaise and pessimism has befallen the UK and Europe as well.
The presenter of this daily series wishes not to be construed as an "influencer". Despite the weekly wellness advice provided. Ha ha. (It works for me.)
Keep in mind that "occulted" means "hidden" and it goes very well with our annual theme of dis-covery, or "apocalypse". They are opposites.
This year what has been hidden will be revealed.

And just like that fifty days have passed since day 1000.
Returning to my obsession, or shall we call it, an intense interest in podcasters and podcasting, we go for a mini-rant tour around the net and talk about some of the channels I've watched, passed up, and those I have stuck with.
Way back in the day, pre-military I wanted to be a radio DJ because I liked music. The more I learned about that actual career, the less I wanted to do it because the radio gig wasn't so much playing records, (disc jockey actually means, "moving discs", or records, maybe shuffling them), but being a broadcaster. Two problems; first I didn't like my voice. Two, there are rules, you have to keep a log and there's stuff you weren't allowed to say on the air.
Despite both of these hindrances, I did broadcast on college radio, armed forces radio and pirate radio. (You'll hear my "DJ voice" in this episode.) And many of my small audience actually liked my show enough to listen.
But for me, back then, it was more about having fun. Although I don't think I'd be that much more serious about it today. There are still rules, but I have gotten more comfortable with my voice, even though it comes and goes. (I usually leave it in the gym.)
Some group is giving away a podcasting kit as some kind of prize in a promotional contest, which tells me how diluted the "industry" has become. When anybody can do it, everybody will do it. And that's another reason why I probably won't go any further than what I'm doing now. I can literally do it on the run, or on the walk, as it were.
The AI technology available as well as my own pirate ways and quasi-analogue resources are going to make for an interesting series, if & when I devote more time to it. The element of fun must remain despite the element of "duty" - the challenge I've given myself.
As of today it's been 1,050 days in a row of creating and posting videos. I don't expect you to check. If you do, you won't find them on this channel. (Long story.) If you're watching on Rumble or Ourtube, the FMO series predates their existence, not sure about Odysee, became it was Lbry before.

I'm slowly realizing that the same way each "dimension" or class of humans have their own "elites," each group also has its "normies." Sunny and warm weather is "normal" weather for South Florida in January. Cold, gray with dirty snow is normal weather for Boston in January. The question is, "Can, or should we expect anything to be normal in this era?"
Some vibrations on normies, normal and comfort in this episode.
Also more vibes about the warrior's path, the origins and inspiration for my particular journey and how everyone tries to take advantage of crises. Who was it that advised, "become ungovernable"? That's good advice. The "rulers" expect a "normal" response from the crowd when they, the rulers unleash chaos. What happens when the crowd behaves counter intuitively? Maybe we'll find out this year.

The Crooked Path to Salvation
The image of the black clad Hasidic emerging from underground seemed custom made for the haters that like to characterize certain religious groups in the form of certain rodents. I haven't heard any commentary, however making this connection. Why would I? I don't listen to Brother Nathaniel (note the "El") and his type, although I know they exist. Maybe the connection is just too easy.
This week's chaos was just too titillating to pass up, so we hyped it up a little bit. All the more reason to be strong. Redefine it you must but don't stray too far from the center.
Speaking of "center" or "core", I've been thinking about the root word, "rupt", it means "broken". We hear the word "corrupt" almost daily. We have an idea what it means, but what it really means is that the center is broken. Imagine the center of your wheel is broken. How can it roll?
Which brings us to another small chapter of the Warrior's Path. Then of course, the gym.

Six weeks since leaving Singapore and my return will be by bus. Last time I flew into the country I was detained and asked to leave. Join me on this adventure. And there's some good advice if you ever plan to bus it from Malaysia to Singapore on the weekend.
Wish I could tell you more about the behind the scenes stuff, but it's unauthorized.
Then of course this week we make it into the gym. These gym sessions run together after a while. It's more of the same, legs and hips. We must improve flexibility to improve performance and strength. That's something I didn't recognize back in the day.

We're more apt to notice malaise than exhilaration, aren't we? It seems that when we're in a slump it lasts forever, while being in the zone is like a one night stand. I don't know this for sure. I've never lived as anyone else, as far as I know, and other people relay their stories they inevitably exaggerate. I can state this with relative confidence.
The past four days, including Sunday, I've been amped! Antsy. Hyper, maybe. But full of energy. This is ongoing. Even as I type this up, I'm still vibing from an intense gym workout. Even after the thirty minute walk, bod was still full of energy!! I want this stamina to be the new normal and I think it's possible.
Aside from the usual Wednesday ritual, there's a bit about things that have not been proven to exist. That's a funny thing about us humans. Going to the Dogs
The simian evolution story from the original Planet of the Apes goes something like this; human pets, dogs and cats were wiped out by, guess what... A virus, so monkeys were adopted as pets, then became servants and somehow over thousands of years humans became feral as the apes became wise.
Today, almost 60 years after the release of the first Planet of the Apes movie, pets and dogs in particular have become "family members". Which by the way is accurate to the etymology of the word "family." In my neighborhood I've seen dog being pushed around in prams, being carried in purses and backpacks and shoulder holsters. They are walked around on leashes too. It's a law, but some pooches are better behaved than others, and while they are leashed, their "pet parent" isn't holding said leash.
There are 7 or 8 dogs living in these "villas". Nextdoor neighbor has two. Upstairs neighbor has two.
I have no pets. You'd have met them by now and I'd probably be using them to gain popularity.
I prefer dogs to cats, but the cats I lived with and looked after for a couple of years have warmed me to felines. Although I don't consider myself a "cat person."
Today's episode, aside from being in the park again, has to do with the relationship between humans their dogs and the shit that far too many of them, humans, don't pick up and how this is one of the failures that will cause the end of humanity.

ALT-MEDIA SYNCHRONICITY
It's been a strange week in the simulation, some of my subroutines failed, and the synth-brain leaked and certain tasks were forgotten. Little stuff like forgetting to take vitamins, leaving the stove on after pouring tea, running the same segment in two consecutive episodes. We missed a record two days in the gym this week. The only thing normal is that we continue to have bizarro dreams. Very vivid and memorable, and I usually return to this side of the simulation with a quote.
For example, I told the dream avatar that represented my son, "many parents tell you they love you as they beat you half to death. That's not going to happen here." I wrote it down. Maybe I'm supposed to share it with you.
Humans are amazing sheeple. I enjoy monitoring the alt-media and I suspect a lot of the podcasters are, or were aspiring commercial broadcasters, former broadcasters or entertainers. Many are very polished and a lot of them get their talking points from the same source. And they talk. But nothing gets accomplished.
I suppose that's not their job to accomplish anything. That's why it's called a "talk show" I guess. It's not called a "do something show."
I never feel like I've missed anything by not listening to them. No news, no analysis, no predictions, no tips on how to live a better life.
Nothing.
Speaking of living a better life, another go at discussing "minimalism" in this episode. I will "expose" the deep dark secret of minimalism.
And since we ditched the gym, we'll run some of my favorite exercise clips from 2023. It was another 7 year and my best one thus far.

I don't know what percentage of the world comprehends the true definition of "apocalypse." Probably most of the world does because of Greek and Latin. Most Americans probably don't, because of movies that are described as "post apocalyptic." I was one of them for a long time. Didn't expect to be lied to by copy writers, (the writers of copy that describes movies), so I went with the context clue. Apocalypse equals disaster. More specifically, natural disaster.
By the way, a "cataclysm" is more accurate in describing a natural disaster, especially a flood.
I was literally dumbfounded when someone suggested that apocalypse meant "to reveal"! I looked it up. Sho'nuff.
Chicken Little, I went on the nice people who were using the word incorrectly.
Which brings us to Apocalypse Year and today's episode. By the end of this year more individuals will know what "apocalypse" truly means. Not only because the ugly side of elite society will be revealed, but a generous portion of what's been occulted (hidden, obscured) from us will be revealed, including human history. If that history suggests aliens hybridization I won't say definitively, but I won't be shocked if it does.
We're going to the gym today since we missed yesterday due to weather. I think we'll be spending more Fridays in the gym until spring, but don't hold me to that. We're on a mission to build legs, flexibility and core, so we may get back out on Fridays.

Struggling through the first week of the year, we flash back to Magnificent Melaka, my favorite Malaysian city. Today we stop in to Bamboo Hut for a bite, then walk along the boardwalk mentioned in an earlier episode.
We got rained out of the gym today so we dug up the Singapore workout, and it reminded your humble vagabond of different ways to train outdoors.
There are parks around the area that are various distances away, from five minutes to literally an hour. We'll explore these in the coming year.
Can we walk an hour, train for an hour and walk an hour back? That will be pretty badass!

The Year of the Strong Man

Like many of the great secret societies of antiquity, masculinity has been infiltrated. There is a long list of reasons why. Classic masculinity has been so watered down that the average male doesn't even know what it means to be a strong man.
The way men have been stereotyped in movies and cartoons, always ready to drink and fight and fuck, forceably if "necessary," gave rise to the toxic masculinity bullshit. Why? Because lost boys emulated the worst traits of "cinemasculinity." And girls of a certain decade didn't know any better than to admire it. They watched the same movies.
Your humble vagabond has had the immeasurably good fortune to be raised in a neighborhood, or "village" (before the saying was co-opted by the Clintons) of masculine men. Not movie stereotypes. Simply men doing what needed to be done every day. Generationally most of the men in the neighborhood were late, GI or Early Silent generation, born in the mid-late 1920s to mid-1930s. Most, if not all were military veterans. Military service in the twentieth century made a huge difference in masculinity vs machismo. These were my role models. The lessons we learned didn't come from reading "how to be alpha" books by sociologists, or sitting in the audience listening to liars relay their sexual fantasies and conquests. (We got that for free from the homies.) We bore witness to how fathers raised their sons and their daughters.
These were the examples of strong men that forged our hood, a microcosm of the United States in those days.
We, of a certain age, whether you served or not, have witnessed the planned collapse of masculinity. How much lower can we get than identifying as a female and then beating up females for sport, and getting paid for it? How embarrassing is it to see a man in a wig and a dress melt down emotionally when he's addressed as "sir?".
If you're okay with this, than you're probably supporting the decline.
2024, in this series, is the Year of the Strong Man. We're going to reclaim this role and we may even have to redefine, for popular culture, what a strong man is, how a strong man behaves, mentally, physically and spiritually.
Strong men are not threatening to women, they complement the feminine. However there's a generation, or two of women who are completely ignorant of Strong Man characteristics. It's going to be an exciting era because there are those who equate aggression and drug assisted physiques as characteristics of strong men, because their examples come from commercial influences.
From the perspective of this Vagabond, the latter generations, possibly peaking with GI (WW2 era) descending to Gen Z, have gotten weaker and less masculine every quarter century. There are few if any living role models left to inspire.
So we have both a challenge and an opportunity. We can "design" and inspire a new generation of strong men based on qualities that won't trick them into going out and killing someone to prove their manhood. They won't be lured into getting beat up for the entertainment of blood thirsty cowards. They won't be played against each other by women, commerce or politics. They will be able to live their best lives, grow, support and protect & defend their families, if that's what they want. Or, they can defend their country or create their vision if that's what they want.
They do no harm in their lives and allow no harm to come to their loved ones.
This will be a multigenerational project. It must be a project because it won't happen organically, just as the decline wasn't organic. It could literally take a century, but if we don't start now, who knows how dramatic the next step down will be?
Anyway. Believe it or not there's more to this episode than the Strong Man thing.

Sometimes I don't seem to make sense, but it makes sense to me.

Moving the Finish Line
This is popularly known as "moving the goal posts," but I prefer the race analogy, because the people race never really ends. There's always the encouragement to do more to get more. They will make more and then entice you to work, (expend your energy) harder and longer to chase that diamond encrusted carrot.
The strategy is the make us more terrified, lower our frequency, drive us into substance dependency, drain our energy and ultimately, depopulate.
That's the view from my simulation and I rebel accordingly.
Two take-aways. First, the race never ends, that's death. Two, the race only exists if you decide to play the conspicuous consumption game. The rare human who can discipline his/her desire for "stuff" (and all its trappings) can avoid the metaphorical race and all the damage it does.
Often, after rambling on, there comes opportunity for analysis. I put it here. The THEY are changing the game because too many players have figured it out. It's a fraud, and to "win" requires more than skill at a certain level. It requires the soul.
"Now youse can't leave."

Welcome to the apocalypse. It's a brand new year for your humble vagabond. The story behind it is very personal and I'll probably not ever reveal it publicly, nonetheless there are clues in every episode, especially the throwbacks.
Today's rantcast has to do with the "great awakening." Too many of these hopium pushing, merch peddling podcasters behave as if "waking up" (usually to the narrative they're promoting) is just, metaphorically opening one's eyes. They, the presenters, spin their scenarios with no actual proof, usually quoting another podcaster, or so-called "experts" who have won prizes or have the same credentials as the experts they don't believe.
These fauxk, will literally refer to a Nobel prize winner while in another report disparaging a winner of the same prize. Remember the Nobel people awarded their "Peace Prize" to war criminals. Do you think the others are legit?
Just like these other truth jockeys, your humble vagabond babbles on day after day, noticing patterns and inconsistencies in the simulation. (Confidentiality, sometimes my rants reveal my own hypocrisies, and I set out to correct them. I must admit, it's a challenge.)
And speaking of challenges, Apocalypse Year 2024 is going to be a huge challenge. (BTW, the channel name will change and we'll eventually update everything.)
I anticipate that the bad guys will throw everything they've got left at us to make us give up and give in; war, climate, health, alien invasion, altered history, digital surveillance, worthless currency, cyber shutdown, bad movies, gender terrorism, normalized insanity, cognitive dissonance and another stolen election. A baker's dozen!

Getting back into the Super Power Tuesday groove, with another Gym session and the usual positive vibes.
If you watch preppers videos all day you no doubt think that everyone in North America is prepping, so you're gearing up.
I watch a lot of Alien history videos, so I sometimes think that there's an alien intervention movement happening. This is not the case. At least I don't see any signs of it in my every day travels. But you know, I don't get out much.
This is the rap for today, and of course the message is much bigger than the words. I only realize this after watching the segment several times.
The secret is the method and the pattern of how we're corralled into particular mind sets.
What percentage of the North American population is fat? Sick? On meds? Scared? Angry? Woke? Oppressed? Vulnerable? Paranoid? Insane?
And now, wonder what percentage is healthy, unmedicated, unafraid, strong, confident, discerning, defiant, resistant, durable? You will notice that these stats are neither kept nor promoted. When someone tells you that they are, or have these qualities, they are either lying or bragging.
This is where we are.
We may chat about this later in the Gregorian new year.
