160 Kgs x 5 High-Bar Squat. BIG NEW PR!
I was not expecting I would be able to hit this today; as I was feeling weaker and moving slower with my warm-ups. However, my single of 145 Kgs right before this ended up feeling pretty good, so I decided to push myself for a PR. Last block, I got up to 157.5 Kgs for 3 reps, so hitting 160 for 5 (I was supposed to do 4, but I was so caught in the moment, and did the reps so quick, that I wasn't 100 % sure I had hit 4. So I did an extra, just in case, haha) and having some reps still left in the tank is pretty good progress! 🤘🏻

3x10 140 Kgs Romanian Deadlift. Goal achieved!
I usually do these on the same day as my comp deadlift session, but I ended up moving them to my Paused deadlift session, as I felt terrible/low energy and strength by the time I was meant to do them on my comp deadlift day. I felt pretty confident I could comfortably do 140 today, so I made a 5 kilo jump from the previous week's 135, and just went for it. I decided to try going back to using a more narrow stance too, as I feel like I get a better stretch with the hamstrings, with my feet closer together. Overall, not bad! I'll have to see how much further I can comfortably push these, before I hit a ceiling with the RPE. If I can keep pushing it, then it should only mean good things for my regular deadlift 🤘🏻

EASY 200 KGS PAUSED DEADLIFT. BIG PR!
I was originally not planning to for this weight, yet. However, Paused deadlifts have been going very well recently, and I was feeling very good and FRISKY, today. So I decided today was the day to crush 200. It moved quite easily, too. I kind of wish I had milked the pause just a little bit longer, but the perception of time is on a totally different plane during these kinds of things, hahaha. So now onward to 220 Kgs/five plates paused. Which may be not too far away, after all 🤘🏻

Paused Deadlift & Tempo Bench Press. Block 2 Week 4
Awesome session, today! Made great progress with all of my lifts, particularly with the paused Deadlift, (there ya go, @ricktunnissen3407! 😜) and Romanian Deadlift. I was even surprised with the Tempo Bench Press, as I didn't think I would have much gas in me to do too well. However, I managed to comfortably hit only 2.5 Kgs under the most amount of weight I've ever done with the movement, and within the prescribed RPE. As I've said before, the weight is not moving as fast and easily as when I was 5+ kilos heavier, but the fact that it seems I am getting closer and closer to relative where I was earlier is a really good sign 🤘🏻

Paused Squat session. Block 2 Week 4.
I slept horribly the night before this session. I also did this right after working at the gym, so I was feeling very tired and weak, today. Despite that, the squats went fairly well, albeit being more difficult and taxing than it would have been, normally. The rest of the session was kind of underwhelming, though; as I was pretty exhausted after the squats. So I had to dial back the benching, and accessory work a bit, and do what I could. Can't win 'em all!

I wanted to pull this with Hook Grip, but I injured my pinky finger, and decided to play it safe, and strap up, to help avoid aggravating it, too much. This is a new PR, in terms of weight lifted for reps, and at my lowest body weight in a long time. So I am really excited for what is to come, in the near future! 🤘🏻

185 Kgs x 2 Squat. NEW PR!
Definitely wasn't on my A game, today. Warm-ups were feeling heavy, and when I got to 160 kgs, it was very apparent that the weight was moving slower than usual. However, I was deadset on doing 185 for 2, today. As soon as I unracked it, I knew I had it. First rep went quite well, but the 2nd, not so much, unfortunately. I lost tightness with the upper back, and pitched forward too much. Even still, I think this perfectly fit the prescribed RPE of 9; as I am confident that if I had just really taken my time to recompose myself, and lock in, I could have pushed out one more rep.

180 Kgs x 2 Squat. New Rep PR!
In spite of being really tired and hungover, I am pretty happy with this. I was supposed to do a Top Set of RPE 8, and I felt like pushing myself. Even then, I think this was under RPE 8, as I think I could have grinded out at least another 2-3 reps. I descended just a bit too fast on the second rep, I think, but no biggie. Something to keep in mind though, for the heavier weights, for sure.

Comp Squat and Bench Press. Block 2 Week 3
Despite being really tired and hungover from a recent Halloween party, this session went really well, hahaha. Top Set for squat was supposed to be RPE 8, but I honestly think it was lower, and that I could have done at least 2-3 more reps. Bench is continuing to gradually build back up. Feeling stronger with it, week by week. Hopefully I'll be back to where I was before with that, in due time 🤘🏻.
