How To Make Homemade Beef Stew
I show you how to make a hearty beef stew recipe homemade. Click "Show More" for the recipe.
Troy's Hearty Beef Stew
3 lb Chuck Roast (Cubed)
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
2 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
Water
1/2 Onion diced
3 or 4 Garlic cloves (diced)
16 oz Baby Carrots
5 Red Potatoes (halved)
8 oz Beef Stock
28 oz can of Peeled Tomatoes with juice (diced)
8 oz Frozen Green Peas
8 oz Frozen Corn
Cooked Rice
Salt and Pepper to taste
Add vegetable oil to a dutch oven and heat over medium high for a few minutes.
Add cubed beef and brown on all sides. You may need to brown the beef in several batches. Once meat is browned on all sides, remove and set aside.
Add flour to remaining oil in the dutch oven. Cook for a few minutes over medium heat to cook out the flour taste and let the roux gets a little darker brown.
Add water to the roux a little at a time stiring water into the roux mixture until you have a thin gravy.
Add meat and juice back to the dutch oven.
Add 8 oz of beef stock to just cover the meat. Add more water if needed.
Add 1 tsp each salt and pepper, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Add Onion and Garlic, cover and simmer 3-4 more hours or until meat is tender.
Add carrots and let simmer another 30 minutes.
Add potatoes, tomatoes, peas, and corn to dutch oven, cover and simmer another 30 minutes or until potatoes and carrots are tender.
Add more salt and pepper to taste if needed.
Enjoy!!!

Brisket Chili Recipe | How To Make Tasty Homemade Texas Chili
I show you how to make the best homemade chili using leftover smoked brisket. Click "Show More" for recipe!
You can get the chili powders I used from Mild Bill's Spices:

Troy's Smoked Brisket Chili Recipe
Add the following to a large dutch oven:
32 oz. Beef Broth
8 oz. can of tomato sauce
2 Serrano peppers or Jalapeno peppers (optional)
3 Chicken boullion cubes
Bring mixture to a boil, and then add the following:
1st dump:
1 Tbsp. Cowtown Light Chili Powder
1 Tbsp. Grand Prize Chili Powder
1 Tbsp. San Antonio Original Chili Powder
2 tsp. Onion powder
1/2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1/4 tsp. Salt
Cook over medium low heat covered for 1 hour.
After 1 hour, you can remove the Serrano peppers and discard them.
2nd Dump:
2 Tbsp. Dixon Medium Hot Ground Chili Powder
1 Tbsp. Cowtown Light Chili Powder
1 packet of Sazon Goya
2 tsp. Cumin powder
2 tsp. Garlic powder
1 tsp. Terlingua Dust
1/4 tsp. Green Jalapeno powder
2 Cups of water or enough to adjust thickness to your liking
1.5 pounds of cubed smoked brisket point
Cover and simmer 30 minutes
3rd Dump:
1 Tbsp. Grand Prize Chili Powder
1 Tbsp. Cowtown Light Chili Powder
1 tsp. Terlingua Dust
1 tsp. Cumin powder
1/4 tsp. Garlic powder
1/4 tsp. Cayenne powder
1/4 tsp. brown sugar
Cover and simmer 10-15 minutes
Add 15 oz can of Black Beans (optional)
Simmer another 5-10 minutes to warm the beans.
Taste chili and adjust salt and heat level if needed. If the chili is too thick, add more water. If the chili is too thin, mix 1 tsp. of cornstarch or masa into 8 oz. of water, then slowly add to the chili mixture to thicken it to your liking.
Enjoy!!!!

Turkey Tetrazzini Homemade Recipe | How-To Video

Turkey Tetrazzini Recipe
Ingredients
1 lb of Cooked Turkey, chopped or shredded
1 lb of Uncooked Linguine or Spaghetti
1 Onion chopped
1 lb of Baby Bella Mushrooms sliced
4 Cloves of Garlic minced
1 Tbsp of Italian Seasoning
8 Tbsp of Unsalted Butter (divided)
1/2 cup of Pinot Noir (Red) or a White Wine
1/3 cup of All Purpose Flour
32 oz of Chicken Stock
1 Cups of Whole Milk
1/2 cup of Heavy Cream
1 cup of Cream Cheese, softened at room temperature
1.5 cup of Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
3/4 cup of Frozen Peas
1.5 cup of Shredded White Cheddar
1/2 cup blend of Shredded Parmesan, Romano, Asiago cheeses
Salt and Pepper to taste
For the Topping:
1/4 cup of Grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup of Italian Panko Bread Crumbs
2 Tbsp of Butter
Preparation
1) Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, grease a large casserole dish with a little butter or cooking spray and set aside.
2) Fill a large pot with water, add a generous pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Add the linguine and cook it 2 minutes less than the package instructions indicate. Drain well and rinse under cold water to stop it from cooking further.
3) In a large dutch oven, add 4 Tbsp of butter and allow it to melt over medium high heat, add the mushrooms and onions, season them with some salt and pepper, Italian seasoning, and saute until onions are transluscent, about 6 to 8 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 more minute, deglaze the pan with the wine and allow the wine to reduce by half.
4) Add the flour, making sure to stir it in well and cook for about 2 minutes. Add the stock, milk and cream and simmer for about 8 to 10 minutes or until the mixture has thickened a bit .
5) Stir in the cream cheese, adjust the salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the parmesan and cheddar. Set aside and let cool 5 minutes.
6) Add the cooked linguine, shredded turkey, and thawed peas. Give everything a good stir. Pour mixture in the prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle over the panko bread crumbs and Parmesan and dot the remaining butter evenly over the top.
7) Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
