The tourists should have crowded the town of Flåm this time of year and we would normally be running a two train service on the Flåm Railway. But due to the current situation with closed borders, social distancing and refrain from travel, Flåm has turned into a very quiet town. Even more quiet than during the winter season. Without narration. Today I picked up the loco in a more unusual place. Going out the "back door" of the maintenance workshop for the EL18 and almost down to the station called Loenga (usually just freight that goes through this station). Coming on the bridge you can see the Østfold Line down to the left. Changing end and the go back down on the outside of the workshop to connect with the carriages. The consist this day was aprox 200m of the passenger cars type B5-6. It looks like these carriages will removed from the Bergen Line when the new contract is effective and placed only in franchise North and franchise South. Cut the travel time to Lodalen half and was loads of fun. Today we're going to Lodalen Depot in Oslo and picking up the loco, connecting it to the carriages and then hauling the train from Oslo to Ål in Hallingdal where there is a driver change. We're going from partly cloudy and sunshine to overcast and the pretty thick fog in at Ål. This is the day train from Oslo to Bergen, so there are more stops along the way than we see for the Morning Express. Some action at Finse when going over the mountain with afternoon express. The wind is coming from a direction that makes the snow really build drifts on the track. I love it! I did not even expect hitting a drift the third time, and you can see how the snow reduces the effect of the headlights.
