Grateful Dead [1080p HD Remaster] December 31, 1978 - Winterland Arena [Set 2]
Our latest and hopefully final attempt to remaster this video.
It should look *Significantly* better than anything officially released at this point.
Sets 2 and 3 may yet come today, but they may also have to wait until tomorrow.
It is going to take a lot of computing time to finish up the rest.
More info will be posted shortly.
Thanks everyone for a wonderful 2022 -- Here we come 3024!!!

This page 100% depends on the generosity of others to continue the work that is being done here to restore and remaster all existing video sources (we even do new transfers on a lot of stuff and uncirculated stuff these days). The postproduction work takes a lot of time, a lot of specialized equipment and software, eats up a ton of money in overhead, continuously increasing storage demands, and a high-speed fiber connection is on the way.

For full disclosure, if you see commercials on this page, this page is NOT MONETIZED in any way. Any commercial you see is either placed there by copyright owners (which they have every right to do) or by Youtube. We don't want people to have to see commercials any more than they want to see them. On the other hand, we are lucky enough be able to post all of these videos without being crushed off of Youtube from copyright violations. (Which also took a lot of effort to make happen)
With that said, this page would have ceased to exist in December 2020 if it were not for the massive outpouring of people who stepped up and offered to help when i put up the notice that I would no longer be able to maintain this page because of the time and the financial burden. If you are able, consider making a one-time donation or joining the patreon if you find this page to be something of value -- every dollar genuinely helps a ton. We do not want anyone to feel any sense of obligation. We are like everyone else and want to keep the music alive, at the highest quality possible.

Thank you everyone for continuing to support this page. We love being able to do this.

Audio and video notes:
Video is originally from Wolfgang/Bill Grahm vault.
We did a lot of tone mapping and other work here in additon to scaling to 1080p using a couple different processes to keep/enhance detail and fidelity, cleaning up noise, smoothing levels, etc.
Framerate was left how it was in the original.
All postproduction work on this video was performed by Josh Davis and Christopher Hazard

Grateful Dead [1080p HD Remaster] April 4 1986 - Hartford Civic Center - Hartford, CT
This is our audio and video remaster (2-camera!) of
Grateful Dead
April 4, 1986
Hartford Civic Center
Hartford, CT
Full lineage is below
Video Notes: (all video is now 1080p60)
Used alternate audience camera footage to make this a 2cam, filling in some spots where heads get in the way of the main camera shot of the screen
color adjusted far more compared to the first attempt, minus some bright screen spots (mostly
during first 2 songs) Jerry finally has healthier looking skin now for rest of show
Audio notes:
added the camera audio, though lowered in volume, to the 2-source matrix I made for the first version, so this is 3 sources. The camera audio (not used for first 2 songs of set 2) adds a fuller feel and some crowd noise back into the mix
All postproduction work was performed by Josh Davis and Christopher Hazard

==================== Donor Rap ====================
~Thank you~
