Full post-production job on this one, great high-energy show.
Colors have been corrected, there's still some bloom/haloing that was hard to get rid of, mostly due to stage lighting. Black levels adjusted to be proper inky black and white balance adjusted. (Ok, all the levels are adjusted)
Deinterlaced to 59.94 fps, upscaling work done here and the AI can be a little much on this video (i'm testing some new tools in the AI realm so I'll proabbly go over this video again, the AI here is way too obvious at some points for personal taste even though it's better in some facets.. It messes up jerry's hair and his glasses at times) . Either way, this should be a huge upgrade over existing copies of this video with the best audio track available in 2023.
Full lineage from original video and new audio patch (thanks charlie miller) below!
Thanks everyone

World Music Theatre - Tinley Park, IL
Kicking back into gear with the videos now that we're a bit more settled into our jobs this fall and through the most hectic period, so videos should be getting back to a regular pace. We're still working on a solution to cover for the fact that google took away unlimited capacity drives, which is what I depend on for video editing and stoage (local backups are at home but we are *Still* waiting on fiber)
This should be transparent and will end up being more of a money issue than ability issue moving forward. (Thank you to everyone who keeps supporting this page, we need it more than ever and couldn't do it without you!!!)
Anyways, this was originally one of the youtube live dead streams. We did a bunch of post production work from a lot of different angles to get the visual quality significanly better (you can compare if you'd like!)
Also augmented with charlie miller's Ultramatrix24 Master. 1990 ultramtx tapes are some of the best GD recordings to exist (IMO) and are absolutely the pinacle of the ultramatrix "experiment"
Enjoy!

My only work here is making a slideshow of pictures from the time-period (i used 500-pictures for this video).. I try to give eeach picture 20-seconds.
Since we will have a slight downtime over the next week or two, I wanted to post some good Audio tracks from teh eras that don't have a lot of video to be had.
Hope you guys enjoy these shows.. Lots more videos coming as soon as we get situated back into our jobs for the year.

Notes/Flaws:
- This is a beautiful recording of an extremely laid back show.
The original .shn set had the end of How Sweet It is clipped, as
well as a reel flip in Mystery Train. How Sweet lacked about
nine seconds at the every end, which I patched in along with the
set break announcement and crowd. I patched about 23 seconds of
missing material over the reel flip in Mystery Train. Patch
material was provided by the amazing audience recording made by
Bob Menke and Louis Falanga (Sony ECM-250 + Sony ECM-270 mics
[onstage] ~ Sony TC-152 master cassettes). I re-.shn'd other
tracks to make them seekable, hence the all new md5s.
- No flaws noted.

[AUDIO] Grateful Dead - Lusk Field House - SUNY - Cortland, NY April 18, 1971 (FULL SHOW SOUNDBOARD)
My only work here is making a slideshow of pictures from the time-period (i used 500-pictures for this video) tracking the recording from the below lineage, and adjusting the slideshow to play out with the same timing as the show's audio. (and added the silly effects between pictures) Each photo should get about 20-seconds. Every attempt is made to NOT crop off any credit to any photographer that has their name attached on these. (i am fairly certain it shouldn't happen at all). Thanks to them for giving us something to look at :)
We will be posting a lot more video in September, the current and next week or two are some of the craziest months for both myself and Josh with our other jobs, so I am taking the time to post some shows from the late 60's and early 70's where there's obviously a huge lack of good video sources.

This fresh transfer is a nice upgrade over existing sources which are very

Alternate arrangement of "Around And Around". This is classic '71 Dead.

I will try to make this a more regular thing

Full show
Circled back around to this show after some time. Wanted to be able to do it justice, and mostly accomplished here. This should be a significant upgrade from the previous shot i took at this video.
Two more years of experience seems to have paid off :) Really happy with how detailed everyone and everything in general looks in this new release.
I replaced the original audio track with Charlie Miller's UltramatrixSBD master.
Final "Blow Away" - "Jam" includes brief "Mind Left Body" theme - Crosby, Stills & Nash opened

PHISH [1080p60 Remaster] August 16 2011 - UIC PAVILION CHICAGO, IL (6-cameras!)
Hey Now
I wasn't going to publish this, but really don't care .. Full show, 6 fan-shot cameras. Non official sourced sound.. I should be able to post this but phish is weird.. That said, i hope they give me a takedown notice instead of a strike if they're going to be silly over this, but either way I can afford a copyright strike so go right ahead and be dbags to your fans if that's how you wanna be :)
Videos were all 1080i... Credits to the OG's are in the video at the beginning. This was already a quality production that was just able to benefit from some editing and modern magic.
The last 10 minutes of video are frozen on this because i messed up the encode. Working to fix it this weekend. Have been super busy lately.
That said, have some fresh new JGB and GD shows ready to go up in the following days. Even if we're not actively posting videos on youtube, there's a lot always going on in the background. In the end, this page (and archiving it all for circulation) is something we constnatly have to balance out in order to not burn out.
This show may stay up or it may get pulled, so enjoy it.

Last 15 minutes of show filled with graphics
this video was transferrred from tape to 1080 progressive, so it was really hard to work with as hardware deinterlacing and hardware upscaling can leave a lot to be desired. That said, this is a pretty rockin show and any JGB video is a good JGB video.

Grateful Dead [1080p Restoration] July 13 1985 - Ventura County Fairgrounds - Ventura, CA [Set 1]
This is a restoration of
Grateful Dead - July 13, 1985
County Fairgrounds - Ventura, CA
Ok, one more "restoration" today, we're finally getting our bearings back together and have a really amazing release coming within the next 2-days... I will keep the rest a surprise but be sure to look out for the premiere.. (i'll list that one early in the day and make sure it's not overlapping other band streams) We should be back to regular video posting here real quick! (Both josh and I have jobs that get super busy right befrore summer, so the videos tend to slow down for much of April into mid-May.
Anyways... We did a lot to polish this turd up, and the best news is that thanks to charlie miller, it sounds amazing... :) (as always!)
This already had some deshake applied, I added more stability to it and it's still all over the place, did a lot of noise reduction (both spatial and temporal) and it's still noisy (if i got rid of all the noise there wouldn't be a videol left)
The Sbd has been upgraded with charlie's 24-bit flac release (lineage below)

Josh and I are both just wrappng up our academic years at work so things have been busy (I was also sick for almost two weeks!) We will be back n full swing here real soon!
There will likely be full shows tonight and tomorrow !!!!
This is a one-off we wanted to do some work on and bring some serious life back into.
Thanks for understanding, i realize we've set a high bar when normally pumping out 3-5 videos a week at times, but we cannot always maintain that pace. All good things in all good time
Thanks everyone for the continued support, you guys are aweomse.
