How to Make Green Beans with Garlic and Smoked Bacon | Granny's Kitchen Recipes
A delicious recipe, very easy and quick to make with green beans, garlic and smoked bacon.

GREEN BEANS WITH GARLIC & BACON RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS:
400g green beans
6 garlic cloves
Smoked Cooking bacon
2 tbsp oil
DIRECTIONS:
Start by cleaning the green beans, remove the ends and cut them in half. Place in a deep pan, add water and bring to boil. Boil the beans for 4 minutes. In the meantime, peel the garlic and then mince it. Cut the cooking bacon and in fry in a frying pan or wok. After the bacon finished frying, around 10 minutes, make sure you keep the oil, as we are going to fry the beans in the same oil.
After 4 minutes of the green beans boiling, switch the hob off, but leave the beans in the water for 2 more minutes and then drain them.
Add the drained green beans in the oil you used to fry the bacon and cook for 2 minutes. Add in the minced garlic. Mix well and fry for 2 more minutes.
Remove from heat and serve with the fried smoked bacon.

TUNA MAYO SWEETCORN SPAGHETTI
INGREDIENTS:
500 g spaghetti/pasta
320 g tuna chunks/flakes
250g sweetcorn
5 tablespoons mayonnaise
salt to taste
DIRECTIONS:
In a medium pan, add water with a pinch of salt and bring to boil. Add the pasta and boil for around
10 minutes or as the instructions on the packaging say.
When the pasta is ready, drain and transfer to a mixing bowl. Add the sweetcorn and mix well.
Add salt and mayonnaise, mix well to make sure the spaghetti are nicely covered with the mayo.
After draining the tuna chunks add to the pasta. Mix well and make sure all ingredients are spread
all over the pasta.

Very EASY Creamy Cauliflower Soup from Scratch | Granny's Kitchen Recipes
Extremely easy cauliflower creamy soup made from scratch. So delicious!
Cauliflower Soup Recipe :
Ingredients:
1 sliced cauliflower
2 sliced carrots
2 cloves of garlic
half of yellow bell pepper
5 tbsp of greek style yoghurt or sour cream
1 tbsp white flour
Salt
Pepper
Vegetable seasoning
1 tsp Oil
1 chicken stock cube
Optional: dill, parsley
Directions :
Add all ingredients in a medium sized pot, top with water to cover the veggie.
Boil on medium heat.
When the soup starts boiling you can add salt, pepper, vegetable seasoning and the stock cube, add half teaspoon of oil in the water.
Give it 30-40 minutes to boil on medium heat and after the carrots and cauliflower are thoroughly cooked start mixing the yoghurt / sour cream with the flour. Make sure there are no lumps.
Add around 10 tablespoons of liquid from the soup onto the flour mix to make it thinner and mix well to avoid any lumps.
Add the mix to the soup, slowly and at the same time with the hand which is free mix in the soup well, that's how you avoid lumps.
Allow 10 more minutes of boiling time.
Sprinkle dill and parsley and the soup is ready to serve.

INGREDIENTS:
10 potatoes
1 glass of milk
3 tablespoons butter/margarine
1 tablespoon oil
salt
DIRECTIONS:
Peel and cube the potatoes. Add them in a deep pan and cover with water. Add a sprinkle of
salt in the water and boil them for around 30 minutes, or until they are soft. Remove from heat and drain the excess water. Then add the butter, oil and salt to taste. Mash the potatoes until there are no hard bits left. If you are looking for a softer puree consistency, increase the quantity of milk, if you want a thicker consistency, then add less milk. Taste to make sure there's enough salt. You can add ground pepper as well or any seasoning you want. Sprinkle chopped parsley and enjoy.

HOW TO MAKE PORK MEATBALLS RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS:
400 grams pork mince
1 onion
1 garlic head
1 bunch of parsley
All purpose seasoning to taste
Salt to taste
Chicken/pork seasoning to taste
1 tbsp lovage
1/2 cup oil
1 egg
3 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp tomato puree
Ground pepper to taste
1 slice of stale bread dipped in water
DIRECTIONS:
Mix all ingredients well. Give it a taste test and if it needs more seasoning you can add more
and mix well. Form the meatballs, about a golf ball in size.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and add in the meatballs. Fry on both sides until golden
brown in colour. Place the meatballs on a kitchen paper towel to remove excess oil.

INGREDIENTS:
4 TINS OF BAKED BEANS
2 TINS OF MUSHY PEAS
CHICKEN/PORK SEASONING
GROUND PEPPER
SALT
ALL PURPOSE SEASONING
TARRAGON
ROSEMARY
MINT
DIRECTIONS:
Melt butter in a deep pan, on low heat. Add the baked beans, the mushy peas and mix well.
Add salt, all purpose seasoning, ground pepper, chicken/pork seasoning and mix well. Add
tarragon, rosemary and mint and mix well. Allow to cook for 15 minutes.
Serving suggestion:
You can serve with raw onion/chillies and/or as a side to meat, preferably pork.

HOW DO I COOK PORK CHOPS IN THE OVEN FOOD RECIPE
INGREDIENTS:
Pork chops ( as many as you need )
1 jar Pickled cornichons/gherkins
1 bunch Fresh/frozen dill
Ground pepper
Salt
All purpose seasoning
Chicken/pork seasoning
DIRECTIONS:
TIP: Place the pork chops in water and bicarbonate of soda for at least 30 minutes, this will keep them moist, even after cooking.
Spread butter in a baking dish. Add the pork chops, buttering the chops on both sides. Add salt to taste, all purpose seasoning to taste, ground pepper to taste, chicken/pork seasoning to taste, dill and rub the pork chops well on both sides. Add the sliced cornichons or gherkins,
including the juice from the jar. Bake in a pre-heated oven at Gas Mark 7 for 1 hour or until the pork chops are done.

COCONUT & CHOCOLATE SPONGE CAKE
SPONGE INGREDIENTS:
7 eggs
7 tbsp sugar
7 tbsp oil
pinch of salt
30 grams vanilla sugar
200 grams flour
1 tsp baking powder
COCOA GLAZE INGREDIENTS:
300 grams sugar
250 grams butter
5 tbsp cocoa
8 tbsp milk
1/2 tbsp rum flavouring
1 tbsp coffee (optional)
1 tbsp chicory & coffee essence ( optional )
TOPPING INGREDIENTS:
200 grams dessicated coconut
DIRECTIONS:
Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Using a food mixer with a whisk attachement, mix the egg yolks with sugar, until they
double in volume and become puffy. Slowly add oil, bit by bit, whilst mixing.
Separately, whisk the egg whites and then add them on top of the egg yolks mix. Gently fold
the mix, from bottom upwards.
Mix the flour with the baking powder and slowly add the flour mix into the egg mix, slowly,
bit by bit, again folding from bottom upwards.
In a baking tray, add baking paper and pour the mix in. Bake in the oven at 180°C, for around
25 minutes, or until the sponge is baked. You can test with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes
out of the sponge clean, then it's ready. Generally, it needs to have a golden brown colour.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool down. After it's cooled down, you can cut it into
squares.
Now, you can start making the chocolate glaze.
Cut the butter in squares and place it in a deep pan, on the hob. Add the sugar in, cocoa and
the milk. Bring to boil on low heat, until everything is dissolved. When it starts to boil,
leave it on for a few minutes, mixing, until it starts thickening. You can check if it's ready
with the back of a tablespoon. If the glaze sticks to the back of the spoon, in a shiny coat,
then it's ready and you can go to the next step.
Take the sponge squares one by one, and dip them into the glaze, making sure they are
evenly covered. You can keep them on a rack, to allow the excess glaze to drip off the sponge,
then you can add each square into the coconut, making sure it's evenly covered in coconut.

How to Make Courgettes? Romanian Courgette Stew
INGREDIENTS:
7 small courgettes/zucchini
1 medium onion
1 garlic head
sprinkle of ground pepper
1 tablespoon flour
200 ml / 1 glass of milk
1 tablespoon salt
all purpose seasoning
1 bunch of dill
1 tablespoon vinegar
DIRECTIONS:
Peel the courgettes and then grate them. Add 1 tablespoon of salt on them, mix well, and keeping them in a colander, allow them to drain of water - at least 30 minutes.
Dice the onion and add 1 tablespoon of salt, we want to cook the onion, not fry it, so the salt will allow that. Chop the garlic and add it in with the onion. Add the flour in the pan and mix well and quick, don't allow it to burn or clump. You should have a sauce like consistency. Remove from heat and set aside.
Squeeze the grated courgettes to make sure you remove as much of the water as possible, then bring the onion and garlic back to heat, adding in the grated and drained courgettes. Mix well and cook on low heat. After 5-10 minutes, add in 1 glass of milk. Cook on low heat for around 10 minutes, or until the courgettes are soft and the stew is thickened. Add in the chopped dill, mix well and add the vinegar in and the ground pepper and mix well.
Cook for 5 more minutes and taste. If it needs anymore vinegar, salt or pepper you can add more. Otherwise you can remove from heat.
You can serve on it's own, or with bread, or as I did, with butter baked pork shoulder, the recipe for which is in my videos.

Butter Baked Pork Shoulder Recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
4 pork shoulders
Salt to taste
Chicken seasoning to taste
3 tablespoons butter
All Purpose seasoning to taste
Directions:
Place the pork shoulder steaks in cold water with dissolved bicarbonate of soda. This will keep the meat moist . Keep the meat in the water for as long as you can.
You can also keep it overnight in the fridge.
Butter a baking dish, then add the meat in. Sprinkle Chicken seasoning, salt, all purpose seasoning and rub the meat really well on both sides. Bake at Gas mark 7 for 30 minutes, or until the meat if cooked.
You can serve it on it's own, or with a side of fries, or as I did, with a side of
courgette stew.
