Dale Jarrett’s Net Worth: How Much Is the Racing Legend Worth?
NASCAR didn’t have just one legend named “Dale.”
While he didn’t have nearly as many accomplishments and accolades as Dale Earnhardt, Dale Jarrett was a dominant competitor in his own right. He won three Daytona 500s, a Cup Series championship, was named one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers, and will be memorialized forever in the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Yeah, we’d say the kid from Conover, North Carolina did more than fine during his racing days.
Dale gave nearly 30 years to the sport of NASCAR, and as a result, made a sizable amount of money. Here, we’ll look at how much the 63-year-old auto racing icon is worth these days.
NASCAR Career
Son of two-time Grand National champion Ned Jarrett, Dale Arnold Jarrett was practically born to be a high-caliber NASCAR driver. A graduate of Newton-Conover High School, Jarrett was offered a full golf scholarship from the University of South Carolina. He declined. Thus, beginning his extremely successful racing career.
Jarrett got his start in the Busch Series (now the NASCAR Xfinity Series) in 1982. Jarrett would go on to run 329 Busch Series races in 20 years, racking up 11 wins, 173 top-10s, and 15 poles.
In 1984, Jarrett ran his first Sprint Cup Series race, driving the No. 2 Chevrolet for Zervakis Enterprises. After a few brief stints with a number of different teams, Jarrett earned his first Cup Series win in the 1991 Champion Spark Plug 400 at Michigan International Speedway, driving the No. 21 Ford for Wood Brothers Racing.
His first of three Daytona 500 wins would come in 1993 with a little team called Joe Gibbs Racing. That race would go down in history as “The Dale and Dale Show,” since it was a hotly contested battle between Jarrett and The Intimidator himself, Dale Earnhardt. To make the win even more special, Ned Jarrett got to call his son’s win in the broadcasting booth.
From 1995 to 2006, Jarrett was signed to Robert Yates Racing. Jarrett would go on to win a number of big races for RYR, including two more Daytona 500s (1996, 2000), two Brickyard 400s (1996, 1999), and three Budweiser Shootouts (1996, 2000, and 2000).
In 1998, Jarrett was named one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers, and in 1999, he won the NASCAR Winston Cup Series championship.
Jarrett finished his career with Michael Waltrip Racing, and after running in the All-Star Race in 2008, he officially hung up his racing gloves and joined ESPN’s broadcasting team as a booth announcer.
Jarret is also a 2014 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee, and was inducted along with Tim Flock, Jack Ingram, Maurice Petty, and Fireball Roberts.
Dale Jarrett Net Worth and Personal Life
Dale Jarrett has an estimated net worth of $35 million.
The former race car driver and current sports commentator is the father of Jason Jarrett, who had a brief stint in NASCAR. In 1984, Dale married Kelley Jarrett, his now ex-wife, and the couple had three children together: Zach Jarrett, Natalee Jarrett, and Karsyn Jarret.
Jarrett’s past business ventures have seen him partner up with two NFL legends: Terry Bradshaw and Brett Favre. Dale and Terry co-owned the now-defunct fantasy sports site Pay The Fan, while Dale and Brett co-own the Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure. Favre was also a part owner of Jarrett’s Busch Series team.
While he doesn’t race anymore these days, Dale also still takes time to actively participate in his first love: golf.

Whatever Happened to Frito Bandito?
If you watched television in the late 1960s, chances are you were introduced to the animated mascot for Fritos Corn Chips. Wearing a sombrero, sporting a thin mustache, stubble, a gold tooth, and carrying two six-shooter pistols on his hips, the Frito Bandito was created by Foote, Cone & Belding, animated by Tex Avery (the same animator who created Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck), and voiced by Mel Blanc, who also voiced Speedy Gonzales and Porky Pig. While Frito corn chips thought the cartoon mascot was a win, many advocacy groups, including the National Mexican-American Anti-Defamation Committee found the Frito Bandito campaign to be racist. With a Mexican accent and jingle, the NMAADC found the Mexican bandit to be highly disrespectful.
Frito-Lay eventually retired the Frito Bandito commercial in 1971 and moved on to promoting the company with the muncha bunch.

Remembering Hollywood Legend Garry Marshall
on May 12, 2020, ABC paid tribute to our favorite Hollywood legend, Garry Marshall, with his very own TV Special, "The Happy Days of Garry Marshall." The special brought together several stars of some of Marshall’s most iconic TV shows and movies, sharing their favorite memories of the Hollywood actor. These icons include "Pretty Woman’s" Richard Gere, Julia Roberts, and Hector Elizondo; Ron Howard, John Stamos, Marion Ross, Henry Winkler, Anson Williams from "Happy Days;" David Lander, Cindy Williams, and Michael McKean from "Beaches," Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews, and Chris Pine from "The Princess Diaries."
The special featured icon’s most famous stars and the celebration captures the “hilarious, positive, upbeat, and romantic nature of Garry Marshall. It’s exactly the show we need right now.” Which seems fitting enough, since Marshall once famously said, “I never want to change the world. I want to entertain the world.” And we all know that for more than six decades, his work in films and television made us belly laugh so hard to the point where we spilled out our milk, and he managed to touch our heart by always leaving us feeling good about the world.
Some of Marshall's most notorious works include "The Lucy Show," "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "The Danny Thomas Show," "Runaway Bride," "Valentine's Day," "New Year's Eve," and "Mother's Day." In 1996, he was awarded the Woman in Film Lucy Award in recognition of excellence and innovation in creative works that enhanced the perception of women through television. He was later inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1997.

Meet Clint Eastwood's 8 Children
Clint Eastwoodis one of the most celebrated actors and filmmakers inHollywood. He first hit it big in the television seriesRawhideand playing the role of the "Man with No Name" in a series ofwesternfilms in the 1960s and has since gone on to winAcademy Awardsfor Best Picture and Best Director forUnforgivenandMillion Dollar Baby. While his professional life has continued to soar over the past 50 years, Eastwood's love life has been a little rocky over the years.
Across the span of 30 years, Eastwood has had eight children -- some from extramarital affairs, including a daughter he didn't even know about for 30 years.
Here are some things you probably didn't know about all ofClint Eastwood's children as well as his two ex-wives.
First Wife,MaggieJohnson
In 1953, Eastwood met a young U.C. Berkley student named Margaret Johnson. While waiting for his young girlfriend to graduate college, Eastwood spent some time inSeattle, Washington. It was here that he had a brief affair with an unidentified woman who became pregnant and gave the baby up for adoption. Eastwood and Johnson were engaged at the time and tied the knot just a few weeks before theSeattlewoman gave birth to her child with Eastwood.
Eastwood met actressSondra Lockewhile filmingThe Outlaw Josey Walesand Locke ended up moving in with the actor. Johnson moved to the couple's Pebble Beach home full time and it seems like this last affair was the final straw forMaggie. In 1978, Johnson realized that Locke was not like any of her husband's other affairs. Locke had been living with Eastwood for a few years at that point. It's estimated that Johnson's divorce payout was as high as $30 million, which she received in cash.
Second Wife,DinaEastwood
Eastwood ended his relationship withactressFrances Fisherin 1995, but the actor was already dating news anchorDinaRuiz, a woman 35 years younger than him. The couple was married the following year. It seemed like, after all of his relationships over the years, Eastwood had found the one.
Dinahad her own reality show with E! in 2012 calledMrs. Eastwood & Company, which followed her and her daughterMorganas well as step-daughterFrancesca. She also made appearances in a couple of her husband's films,Blood WorkandTrue Crime.Sadly in 2013,Dinafiled for divorce and said that she and Eastwood had already been living separately.
Kyle Eastwood
Kyle was thefirst childto come from Eastwood's marriage to Johnson in 1968.
Kyle had a small role alongside his father in the filmHonkytonk Manwhen he was a child. He had a few more acting roles, but he's really made a name for himself inHollywoodas a composer and musician. Some of his credits include his father's films,Million Dollar Baby,Gran TorinoandInvictus. He's also released nine studio albums.
AlisonEastwood
Alisonwas the second child of Eastwood and Johnson. Over the years she has had a stable acting career, most recently starring opposite her father inThe Mule. She also founded the Eastwood Ranch Foundation which saves pets from kill shelters while they wait to be adopted.
LaurieMurray(nowLaurieEastwood)
That baby Eastwood fathered inSeattle? That wasLaurie. When she was 34 years old,Lauriebecame curious about her biological parents. She found her birth certificate and it confirmed thatClint Eastwoodwas her father. Can you even imagine? Over the years she developed a close relationship with Eastwood and his other children. She even appeared on thered carpetwith him forThe Mule.
KimberEastwood
Six years into his marriage withMaggieJohnson, Eastwood was appearing on the TV showRawhide. It was on this show that he met a dancer andstuntwoman,Roxanne Tunis. Eastwood and Tunis began a 14-year affair that resulted in a daughter namedKimber.
Kimberhas gone on to become a producer and prominentmake-up artistinHollywood. She's even worked on some of her father's films includingThe Mule(like a few other Eastwood children).
Scott Eastwood
Eastwood was still living with his mistressSondra Lockewhen he started having an affair with aflight attendantnamedJacelyn Reeves, who gave birth to Scott.
Scott was originally born Scott Clinton Reeves, taking his mother's surname. When he decided to pursue an acting career he used Reeves to avoid any nepotism in using "Eastwood." He's gone on to have an incredibly successful film career and has starred in many of his father's films; which he promises he had to audition for. He's easily the child that looks most like his father and has become the most successful inHollywood.
KathrynEastwood
BornKathrynAnn Reeves, the second child from Eastwood andJacelyn Reeves,Kathrynalso went on to have a few acting parts over the years. For the most part, though, she has been out of the limelight, unlike her famous brother.
FrancescaEastwood
Despite Eastwood's relationship with Reeves, he remained withSondra Lockeuntil 1989. The following year, actressFrances Fishermoved in. Fisher and Eastwood had one daughter,Francesca.
Francescawas MissGolden Globein 2013. She has also pursued an acting career and is currently in a relationship with her boyfriend and actor, Alexander Wraith with whom she has one child.
MorganEastwood
The youngest of all of the Eastwood children,Morganwas the only child to come from the second marriage toDina. She starred alongside her mother inMrs. Eastwood & Company. She also made a couple of appearances in her father's filmsChangelingandMillion Dollar Baby.Morgangraduated college in 2018 with her father and most of her siblings present.

The Best Quarterbacks in Auburn Tigers History
By now, it’s no secret. Auburn University has produced some of the greatest quarterbacks in SEC and college football history. A pair of Heisman Trophy winners, a handful of national championship berths, and a few more records make the argument clear as day. Leading the Tigers to battle on The Plains has always been something special and that tradition is still alive and well.
Today, the Auburn Tigers are led by quarterback Bo Nix. As a true freshman in 2019, the 6-foot-2 signal caller had over 2,500 passing yards, over 300 rushing yards, 23 total touchdowns and just six interceptions. Needless to say, he’s well on his way to greatness under head coach Gus Malzahn after replacing Jarrett Stidham.
Looking back through the years of Auburn football, there is no shortage of fine quarterbacks in school history. From Lloyd Nix and Jimmy Sidle to Randy Campbell and Jeff Burger to Stan White and Patrick Nix to Brandon Cox and Sean White, all of them had great careers at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
However, as crazy as it sounds, none of them make the cut as the best quarterbacks in Auburn history.
5. Dameyune Craig
It would be nearly impossible to make a list of great Auburn quarterbacks and not include Dameyune Craig. After a redshirt season and two years as Patrick Nix’s backup, Craig finally became the team’s starting quarterback before the 1996 campaign. Then, as a senior, he led the Tigers to the 1997 SEC West crown and a narrow loss to Peyton Manning and the Tennessee Volunteers in the SEC Championship Game.
Craig has been an assistant coach for teams such as Florida State, Auburn, LSU, and Texas A&M during this career.
4. Nick Marshall
Nick Marshall had an unconventional route to stardom, but he absolutely has a special place in Auburn history. He began his career as a cornerback for the Georgia Bulldogs and went to community college in Kansas before arriving at Auburn.
In two seasons, Marshall proved to be a dual-threat stud. He was the quarterback for Auburn’s infamous “Kick Six” victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide and guided the Tigers to an SEC championship and a berth in the 2014 BCS National Championship Game, where they lost to Florida State.
Marshall went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft and currently plays for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
3. Jason Campbell
Perhaps nobody in Auburn history is as underrated as Jason Campbell. Despite having a new offensive coordinator each season, Campbell put up some great numbers in his four years, including 7,299 career passing yards, 45 passing touchdowns and 24 interceptions.
Campbell was named the 2004 SEC Offensive Player of the Year, won the SEC title game MVP, and led the Tigers to an undefeated season. However, thanks to USC and Oklahoma, Auburn was snubbed out of the national title game.
He played in the NFL for 10 seasons before retiring.
2. Pat Sullivan
The late Pat Sullivan will forever be Auburn’s gold standard. The 1971 All-American was the Tigers’ first Heisman Trophy winner and broke several school and NCAA passing records along the way.
Sullivan was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1991 and passed away in December 2019. His legacy will live on forever.
1. Cam Newton
Who else? What Cam Newton was able to accomplish during his first season at Auburn is nothing short of legendary. The Consensus All-American quarterback won every award imaginable, including the Heisman Trophy, and guided the Tigers to a BCS National Championship Game over the Oregon Ducks.
Newton, who racked up over 4,000 total yards and 50 touchdowns in his lone season for the Tigers, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. His spot on this list is cemented until proven otherwise.

Why ‘Schoolhouse Rock’ Was More Than Just a Children’s Show
As if Disney+ didn’t already have everyone’s favorites, “Schoolhouse Rock” will now officially make its big debut on the popular family-friendly streaming service on June 19. Have you ever realized how much information you’ve actually retained just by remembering songs like “I’m Just a Bill,” “Three is a Magic Number,” and “Conjunction Junction?”
But how did “Schoolhouse Rock” start? This interstitial programming series had its viewers learning their multiplication tables within three to five minutes between the typical Saturday morning cartoon shows. Back in the early 1970s, David McCall, co-owner of New York ad agency McCaffrey & McCall, realized something as he was taking his family to a dude ranch in Wyoming. His son was having a difficult time with his multiplication tables but knew every word to the Rolling Stones’ songs. That sparked the idea to combine the sounds that defined the 70s with school concepts of all kinds.
When McCall returned to his office, he hit up George Newall, a co-creative director at the agency, to see if they could get one of their jingle writers to whip up something. It didn’t really hit the mark, so Newall reached out to Bob Dorough.
What came next from Bob Dorough blew the entire ad agency away. Dorough had taken a few weeks to study his daughter’s textbooks and had come up with “Three is a Magic Number,” associating symbolism of threes with the math of threes. The bop was incredibly simple, catchy, but informative.
Together, David McCall, George Newall, Bob Dorough, and Tom Yohe collaborated with Radford Stone, the agency’s senior V.P. account supervisor for ABC, to pitch the idea to Michael Eisner, the vice president for children’s programming at ABC. Eisner brought in animator Chuck Jones, creator of iconic cartoon characters Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, and Pepe le Pew, and history was made.
On Saturday morning, January 6, 1973, “Schoolhouse Rock!” debuted on ABC. The first four songs that aired were “Three Is a Magic Number,” “The Four-Legged Zoo,” “Elementary, My Dear,” “My Hero, Zero,” all written and performed by Dorough. Bob Dorough then became Schoolhouse Rock’s show director, writing all the songs on the “Multiplication Rock” season, earning him a Grammy nomination in 1974.

10 Ridiculous NASCAR Sponsors
NASCAR is a very profitable business in auto racing, but they didn't achieve that growth by just selling merchandise and tickets to races. NASCAR sponsors play a huge role in the development of the sport and really helped grow the motorsports racing into what it has become today. In fact, NASCAR racing relies on sponsors more than any other sport in the world. The reasoning behind it is because NASCAR fans are extremely brand loyal. Their fan base spends over $2 Billion each year just on the merchandise. If you can get your name associated with the brand, it could prove to be very beneficial for your company.
I'm sure you've seen NASCAR's sponsorship models which feature official partners or premier partners such as Anheuser-Busch beer, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, Nationwide, Geico, or Monster Energy. These's are some successful companies and they put up millions of dollars in order to have their names on the premier series races. However, there have been a number of ridiculous sponsors who have also tried their luck at getting in on the action with not as much success. Let's look back on a few of them and we'll see if you remember any of the odd names from the stock car racing.
10 Oddball NASCAR Sponsors
Affliction Clothing
Matt Kenseth, had some issues landing good sponsors back in 2011. He ended up with the clothing brand that signed on for five races with their logos on the hood of his race car. Affliction is not exactly the type of clothing that the race car driver would wear, or a majority of the NASCAR fans either to be honest. Kenseth didn't manage to get any first place finishes for the clothing brand, but did get a second place finish as well as 3 other races that he ended up in the top 10.
Poison
Winner of the 1990 Daytona 500, Derrike Cope, is known for some uncommon sponsorships. He normally had some kind of music or rock festival sponsor on his number 37 Ford race car. In 2002, he went with the unique poison paint scheme, which was a shock to say the least. Although he sported the sponsor for a while, he couldn't manage to bring in a top position. The best he was able to get was a 34th place finish at Homestead.
RedneckJunk.com
Speaking of Derrike Cope, he's also involved in this one in 2004. Redneck Junk was a classified ad service that sold the stereotypical "redneck" hobby choices. Although a little odd, it didn't seem extremely out of place as the sponsor for the number 50 Dodge car. Cope was unable to make much happen during this time, got a last place finish, and eventually Arnold Motorsports failed after a bad truck campaign.
Sephora (Kim Kardashian products)
Sephora is a big makeup outlet, and used this time in 2010 to promote Kim Kardashians fragrence lineup and a few other products of hers. 2002 Camping World Truck Series Champion, Mike Bliss, was the driver of this car. He played off the sponsorship pretty naturally, but unfortunately couldn't gain much traction with the team. He crashed during one race which resulted in a poor finish, and the driver left the team around 4 races later.
Boudreaux's Butt Paste
With its unique name, Boudreaux's Butt Paste was a cream for diaper rashes. The product was aimed to all of the young mothers out there watching who had children. In the mid 2000's, Former school principal, Kim Crosby, drove the sponsored car. She had about 10 career starts but on multiple occasions was black flagged for being too slow. After an unsuccessful career, by 2005, the deal was over and Crosby moved on to driving monster trucks instead.
Viagra
Mike Bliss was one of the drivers of the Viagra sponsored car but didn't have much luck. Mark Martin however, also drove a car with this logo on the hood. It wasn't exactly a huge failure, the sponsor was frequent for about 6 years and they managed to grab 3 wins and a couple close finishes. It did, however also have some hectic years leading up to the wins.
Depend
This company made adult diapers and boy did it seem out of place on a race car. They originally went after football players but landed in NASCAR territory later on as they sponsored Juan Montoya's number 42 Chevrolet. He surprisingly did pretty well, bringing in a 4th place finish and around 67 laps led. Montoya had actually raced some of his better races while he was sporting this sponsor.
Loveable
A brassiere company who sponsored Tammy Jo Kirk for 15 races in the truck series. It was one of the rare times that a female driver and a female product were matched up together. She managed to get a best finish of 11th throughout the series.
WCW/nWo
NFL's Adam Jones had a relationship with the wrestling federation and they decided to bring the name to NASCAR. Kyle Petty, in his nWo sponsored car, managed to grab a fourth place finish at Talladega in '97. WCW cars saw a win at the season opening race at Daytona as well. After these, the good finishes kind of tapered off.
Cartoon Network
Although a little out of place, the sponsorship did manage to inspire some younger kids to get a little more interested in the sport. They were actually apart of the same network as WCW so they shared cars from time to time. The company didn't see much luck in NASCAR though, and eventually the sponsorship was retired
Types of Sponsorships
Title Sponsor: A title sponsor will likely pay the highest amount for their partnership. They get the rights to have their names become a part of the racing series. For example, instead of the NASCAR cup series, it would be the NASCARSprintCup Series, or the Xfinity Series. It creates a ton of exposure for the sponsor, either through a broadcast on TV, or through social media.
Primary Sponsor: This is what a company would go for if they're looking to put their name on the side of a stock car. They can use the car for whatever type of advertising strategy they want, but it usually promotes their current and most recent products. If you manage to be a primary sponsor in a championship race, and that car takes home the championship trophy, rewards would be huge!
Associate Sponsor: You know all those smaller sponsor logos on the cars and the uniforms? Well, those are associate sponsors. They pay a much cheaper price to become involved, but in return, see a smaller placement of their brands on the cars and the racetracks.

Should the National Anthem Be Removed From Sports?
The first time the American national anthem was played during a sporting event came in the seventh-inning stretch of Game One in the 1918 World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Babe Ruth's Boston Red Sox. More than 100,000 U.S. soldiers were already dead in World War I. A bomb exploded in the game's host city of Chicago, Illinois, the day prior. A sparse crowd was on hand, and it didn't seem like playing baseball was the right thing to do.
But as the U.S. Navy band began to play, players on both the Red Sox and Cubs stood and faced the flag. Fans in the stands erupted with excitement after the show of patriotism.
The national anthem became a standing appointment (pun intended) before Major League Baseball games. Beginning with the MLB, leagues from the NBA, NHL, NFL, and all the way down to collegiate and high school athletics adopted "The Star-Spangled Banner" as a reminder that, no matter what jersey you're wearing, we're here as Americans and "our flag was still there."
Yet, ignorance prevails. Many spend their time talking, texting, using the bathroom, grabbing a hot dog, flirting with the girl behind them, or grabbing a selfie for social media. Playing the national anthem has become less about American ideals and more of a symbolic starting gun to the day's events.
I empathize with the "let's get to business" crowd who think removing the anthem isn't a big deal. After all, why waste the time if no one's paying attention? Why should we even afford NFL players like former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick the opportunity to "disgrace" America by kneeling during the song?
Why? Because these are the United States of America, that's why.
Sports are a beautiful microcosm of our society where anyone — no matter your race, religion, gender or sexual orientation — can take the field and compete as equals. It's the anthem that brings us together for a brief moment honoring those freedoms.
Need proof of the anthem's power? Listen to an emotional TD Garden crowd sing in unison after the deadly Boston Marathon bombing.
"The Star-Spangled Banner" is about perseverance. Francis Scott Key's four-stanza poem came in the shadows of Fort McHenry, which survived a night-long onslaught by the British during the War of 1812 — The first stanza is what we recognize as the national anthem of the United States. Yes, it was written over 200 years ago during a very different time in our history. But at its core, the anthem is about standing side by side, weathering the storm, and remembering that our country is fucking awesome when we work together.
Anyone who thinks it should be removed from pregame festivities, or reserved for "special occasions" like the Olympics or Super Bowl, is entitled to their opinion. Quite frankly, it's a naive one, but you know what, that's fine. This is America after all. In truth, we don't give thanks often enough for the freedoms we have. I think you can spare two minutes before eating your nachos.
The national anthem isn't going anywhere.

Should Barry Bonds Be In Baseball's Hall of Fame?
Barry Bonds deserves to be in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Keeping baseball's greatest player ever out is like no Michael Jordan in the Basketball Hall of Fame. However, Bonds is part of a group of Major League Baseball greats on the outside looking in.
It’s silly to pretend Bonds isn’t the greatest power hitter in the modern era. He owns the Major League's career home run record, finishing his final year with 762 dingers. He earned more walks than anyone in history, because he's the most feared hitter ever.
It’s just as silly to pretend Bonds didn’t evolve from a point guard's physique into an NFL linebacker. The Bay Area Hulk's head even changed shape during his career.
Before the California native was the size of a WWE wrestler hitting bombs at AT&T Park, he was on track for a Hall-of-Fame career with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The sixth pick in the 1985 MLB Draft won the 1990 and 1992 National League Most Valuable Player award with the Pirates. Bonds hit at least 30 home runs, stole 30 bases, and hit higher than .300 in each of those seasons.
What Bonds did with the San Francisco Giants was unfathomable — He hit 586 home runs from his first until his last year at 42 years old. In 2001, he broke Mark McGwire's single-season home run record. Bonds' team made the playoffs four times, and he walloped eight homers in the 2002 postseason before losing the World Series.
Explain to how these honors are kept out of Cooperstown; Seven-time MVP, 14-time All-Star, eight-time Gold Glove, 12-time Silver Slugger, and three-time Major League Player of the Year
Maybe you cried , "Steroid Use!" That's fine. It's the same opinion held by a majority of fans and members of the Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA), who vote on potential inductees.
The U.S. government reportedly found a positive drug test of Bonds in a 2007 raid of the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative (BALCO), a supplements lab in California whose clients allegedly consisted of many MLB players.
Bonds did nothing but deny performance-enhancing drug use until 2011, saying he was misled by his personal trainer; He says he never tested positive by the MLB.
Still, many players tied to steroids may never get in. Bonds, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa and Manny Ramirez all fell short of the required 75 percent of the vote.
Others like Mark McGwire and Rafael Palmeiro were never close and fell off the Hall of Fame ballot. Longtime New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter was a lock among first-time candidates in 2020, joining five-time All-Star Larry Walker, whose 383 career home runs are barely half Bonds' total.
Five players, including Mariano Rivera, were inducted in 2019. Bonds fell short of the 75 percent needed, as did Clemens, who won an incredible seven Cy Young awards.
The San Francisco Giants legend deserves a spot in Cooperstown, even if that means an asterisk on his plaque. It's time for Barry to become immortalized.

The taste of garlic can bring a meal from zero to 100. Seriously, if you're frying up meat that's been thawed for a couple of days, and you aren't even sure what you're preparing for dinner, just pull out some garlic cloves, garlic powder, and garlic salt.
Fresh garlic cloves are unmatched, but I don't necessarily feel like I'm settling for the bottom of the barrel spices when I use garlic powder or garlic salt. Although, I find myself using both when I don't have garlic cloves. Is that going overboard? There has got to a difference between the two.
Garlic Powder vs Garlic Salt
The major difference is that garlic salt is a mixture of garlic powder and salt. That's right, if you've been shaking table salt into your food items after using garlic salt, you were just diluting the garlic flavor with more salt.
I love the garlic and saltiness flavor with my veggies. I truly have to watch out for my salt intake because I can really throw down in the kitchen as long as I have garlic salt in the pantry. For one of the best garlic salts available, check out Amazon or Walmart for Lawry's garlic salt.

Neil Diamond & Barbra Streisand’s Classic “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers”
The “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers” duet performed by Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond was originally a 45-second long song clip intended for a television show. That never materialized and instead, the two made their now-classic duet. the song hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 back in 1978.
The song is about two lovers who have been together for enough time to feel like they have slipped into a routine. They’re growing apart while going through the motions. The song was initially written by Neil Diamond with Alan and Marilyn Bergman for TV show All That Glitters. The premise of the show changed, so “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers” was no longer needed as the theme song. So, Diamond expanded the song from 45 seconds to 3:17, adding additional verse and instrumental sections.
The American popular song was released on Neil Diamond’s “I’m Glad You’re Here with Me Tonight” sans Barbra Streisand. The two didn’t formally record a duet performance until after radio stations started splicing together their verses. The power of demand made the song a reality!
Streisand had originally covered the song on her album "Songbird." The duo performed the duet version at the Grammy Awards show in 1980, with their performance being released on the 1994 album "Grammy's Greatest Moments Volume 1." Both Streisand and Diamon had originally planned to star in a motion picture based on the song itself, but the plans were canceled after Diamon started in a remake of the 1980 hit "The Jazz Singer."

Classic Ford Ad Featured These Beloved “Peanuts” Characters
Talk about the ultimate throwback! It’s been nearly 60 years since Linus, Pigpen, and Snoopy from the classic Peanuts cartoon took us on a journey with the 1961 Ford Falcon. This blast from the past was a huge success for Ford in the early 1960s.
At the time, the Ford Falcon was the most popular compact car in America. The television marketing campaign featuring Charles Schulz’s beloved Peanuts characters was just as popular. During the 1950s, the major American car companies focused on larger luxury sedans that offered a higher profit margin, so the compact car market was ripe for the taking in the early ’60s, as most families were looking for a second car. The Falcon was small with only 95 horsepower and a 2.4 L straight-6 engine and a single-barrel carburetor, but that didn’t stop families from buying it!
Maybe Charlie Brown’s friends and his lovable dog had just a little something to do with that.
Nowadays, using cartoon characters to sell cars probably may seem a little bit hokey, but back in the ’60 and ’70s, it was all the rage. Whether it was Looney Tunes, Peanuts, or anything else that was popular at the time, the familiar animated characters made for pretty darn good salesmen.
That’s not to say that Ford Motor Company, Chrysler, or Chevrolet still don’t use gimmicks like that today in their TV commercials. But, with auto companies having much deeper pockets, and technology being a lot better now than it was a half-century ago, manufacturers can go much more over-the-top with their ads. Heck, just watch the Super Bowl. Some of these TV spots look more like big-budget Hollywood blockbusters than advertisements.
Of course, these new commercials are all well and good. But, sometimes, it’s great to look back on and appreciate the classics.

Richard Rawlings Makes a Ridiculous Net Worth Living Every Gearhead’s Dream
Richard Rawlings has made a pretty penny for himself as a reality TV and media personality, shop owner, and entrepreneur. The star of Discovery Channel shows Fast N’ Loud and Garage Rehab, Rawlings also owns and operates the Gas Monkey Garage and Gas Monkey Bar N’ Grill. As of 2014, he can also be found promoting Dodge in their commercials.
Each of these endeavors has certainly been lucrative. But, exactly how much have Rawlings’s efforts amounted to? Let’s take a look at Richard Rawlings’s net worth and find out.
Richard Ray Rawlings began his life in Fort Worth and Northwest Dallas, Texas. He attended Eastern Hills High School and grew up going to auto shows and working on cars with his father. At 14, he bought his first car. After graduating high school, he worked in law enforcement and as a firefighter and paramedic.
Rawlings had a different plan for his life though. As he saw it, getting on TV was another step toward the larger successes he wanted. First, he opened the Gas Monkey Garage and, only a year and a half later, the Gas Monkey Bar N’ Grill. He used these assets to convince the Discovery Channel he was the right guy for the Fast N’ Loud TV show. From there, he used his television exposure in the United States to successfully grow his Gas Monkey brand into an empire. His latest venture in 2014 was opening Gas Monkey Live, a live music venue.
In 2007, Rawlings and Dennis Collins broke the Cannonball Run time record from New York City to Los Angeles by almost an hour, completing the run in 31 hours and 51 minutes in a Ferrari 550. He also raced in the 2007 Bullrun rally.
Richard Rawlings Net Worth
So, how much is this guy worth these days? Rawlings’s empire amounts to $15-20 million, according to most estimates. Remind me to diversify my investments, folks…

Dandelion Wine is an Old-Fashioned Liquor You Can Make at Home
Got patches of dandelions popping up on your lawn? Don't spray them with weed killer, pick them and turn them into delicious wine! This dandelion wine recipe is the pergect recipe for first time winemaking. Keep your white wine, I'll have homemade dandelion wine.
To start, collect about a gallon of dandelion flowers in a large bucket or bowl. Remove the green parts before moving on. The green parts on the whole flower give a bitter taste, so stick to the yellow flower heads. Winemakers suggest harvesting the dandelion blossoms and flower petals when they are fully open, usually in the early afternoon.
In a large pot, bring the water and sugar to a boil. In a large one-gallon fermentation vessel, add the dandelion petals, citrus zest, citrus juice, and yeast nutrient. Pour in the boiling water.
In a separate bowl dissolved the champagne yeast or wine yeast in lukewarm water and allow to stand until cool, about 2 hours. Pour the yeast into the container and top with water, leaving at least an inch of headspace for the carboy.
Cap the homebrewing container with an airlock and ferment for three weeks at room temperature or until fermentation has stopped.
Siphon the wine into a clean container and let the wine ferment for an additional 6 to 8 weeks. Once time has passed, Sciphon the dandelion wine into a clean container and prepare it for bottling. Bottle the flower wine into wine bottles and cork. Store the bottled wine in a cool dark place for 2-6 months at minimum before drinking.

The King of Rock N’ Roll Found Inspiration From This Book of the Bible
In Washington, D.C., there is the Museum of the Bible, a huge building that is considered to be one of the “most technologically advanced and engaging museums in the world.” This place started back in 2017, showcasing rare artifacts and creating experiences so that visitors can learn more about the Bible’s history.
Curator Amy Van Dyke has been able to reminisce and share some of her experiences handling some of the rare items in this Bible museum. She shared a story with FoxNews about the first time she held the Bible of the King of Rock N’ Roll, Elvis Presley himself.
The Museum of the Bible has two of Elvis Presley’s Bibles. One was the King’s personal Bible and the other was a Bible given to him by a fan (Pat Hyder from Cowpens, South Carolina). Amy explained that she could tell it was “something special to him,” describing how the inside was filled with handwritten notes, front to back. Because of his performance history, it makes sense why the King of Rock N’ Roll would be so dedicated to his Bibles.
Elvis Presley became known when he performed in the Assembly of God Church in Tupelo, Mississippi. He won Grammy Awards for his gospel music, winning best-sacred performance in 1967 and best inspirational performance in 1972 and 1974. Amy continued to explain that Elvis’s favorite book of the Bible was probably the book of Psalms. His handwritten notes scribbled in the margins indicate that this American legend probably took a stronger liking to this very poetic part of the Bible.
“His favorite book, from what it looks like, was the book of Psalms, because, in the book of Psalms, there’s a lot of notations and writings in there, which makes sense because it’s a book of songs. So for a musician, it made a lot of sense,” Amy told FoxNews, “And in the back of that Bible, there’s also some writing and some stanzas that he’s written in there and poems and other things that really spoke to him.”
Safe to say the King of Rock N’ Roll took to the Bible and became a true American legend.

Hunt A Killer: The Immersive Murder Mystery Game for True Crime Lovers
Does anyone else know more facts about Ted Bundy than their own sibling? Yes? Same here. I can't recall my best friend's birthday, but I can tell you the exact date of the arrest of Richard Ramirez and more. Being a fan of true crime is a bit morbid, but it's fun to dig into murder mysteries, which is why I'm excited to give Hunt a Killer a try.
If you keep your TV on the Investigation Discovery channel all day or listen to true crime podcasts, then you're going to love Hunt a Killer. This isn't your typical murder mystery game (like Clue). It's a subscription box service that allows you to solve a murder storyline. This game unfolds over a season of six episodes. You'll eliminate one suspect each month. After six months, you'll be able to catch the killer.
What's Included?
Documents
Letters
Ciphers
Clues
Access to Charlie's yearbook
Access to a detective's desktop, surveillance images, and audio files
Hunt a Killer writers are here to give you unique crime stories to solve each season. Once you get your first box, you'll need to set aside time (possibly each day or week) to figure out who the mysterious serial killer is. It's time to dig into your inner Agent Hotch and Penelope Garcia. Let's catch this unsub.
Let me guess, you're a bit cocky and think you could've caught some of the most notorious serial killers of all time, in under weeks, huh? We'll see about that. I'm so excited to try this! The mystery box customer reviews are fantastic. Also, here's a huge perk. For each box sold, Hunt a Killer donates to the Cold Case Foundation.
Joshie says, "We have had a blast with this!! Combining the fun of a good mystery novel, plus the actually having to figure out for yourself what happened. There's no waiting to see what the protagonist knows because we are the protagonist. And to top it off, the materials in each box are high quality and make the adventure feel real. And just like any good mystery, it isn't always easy to whittle down the suspects."
See? It's not easy. You wouldn't want this to be too easy, though. I love a challenge, and this will really put my crime scene knowledge to the test. I binge crime TV shows on Netflix all the time, and I can't help but feel like I have a knack for true crime. Maybe it's just women's intuition, who knows? Don't worry if you get stuck. You can always ask for help through the online community. (Um, this sounds like the Netflix documentary, "Don't F**k With Cats.")
The official groups are spoiler-free, so you'll be able to stay on track without having someone ruin the game for you. I'm happy this game exists. Now my true crime knowledge doesn't feel like it's going to waste. Hunt a Killer Co-Founders Ryan Hogan and Derrick Smith first started Hunt a Killer as an immersive camp a few years ago. Thankfully, they decided people at home needed the experience as well.
It's time to order your first box and put your skills to the test. Unfortunately, we're stuck at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Although, this is a great chance to have a unique family game night or date night.
As someone who's in a private Facebook group to discuss paranormal sightings and historical crimes, I have to say, this is right up my alley. If we have similar interests, you're probably thinking the same thing.
Good luck on your first case. Let's see if you have what it takes to solve crimes. For more information, visit huntakiller.com.

Tommy Lee Jones Owns a 3,000-Acre Cattle Ranch in Texas
Actor Tommy Lee Jones is about as Texas as it gets. The Oscar-winning actor has made no attempts to hide his southern accent throughout his film career, and his gruff disposition has made him a Hollywood icon who can play comedy as well as drama seamlessly.
The Texan never abandoned his roots in the Lone Star State, or the ranch lifestyle he was raised on, which could be why he was inspired to move back after years working in the film industry. Jones was born in the small town of San Saba outside of San Antonio. His family relocated as his father worked in the oil fields in Midland. When the industry took his family overseas, Jones moved to Dallas to attend the prestigious all-boys prep school, St. Marks School of Texas.
St. Marks got Jones to experience new things from acting in plays to becoming an incredibly talented athlete. He was able to play football at Harvard, where he not only started getting into acting but was able to graduate with honors. Jones famously roomed with future politician Al Gore during his college days as well. After school, he moved to New York City, where he started performing on the stage. Jones is an incredibly serious guy, so it only makes sense that that's how he began his acting career.
While he certainly has a reputation for being as moody as some of his characters, there's no doubt that he'll go down in history as one of the most memorable actors of his time. His career kicked off when he booked the role of Mooney, Loretta Lynn's husband in Coal Miner’s Daughter opposite Sissy Spacek. He went on to win an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Fugitive opposite Harrison Ford. Jones even won an Emmy for his role in the miniseries Lonesome Dove, his first role that got to show off his horse-riding skills from his time on the ranch. Younger fans might know him from his role fighting aliens opposite Will Smith in Men In Black.
Jones is an accomplished polo player, something he is still passionate about today. In fact, according to Texas Monthly, he funds two polo teams, which include Jones and his wife Dawn, professional players, and their fifty horses. They split their time during the year between his polo farm in Palm Beach, Florida, and his San Saba polo ranch.
The house on the Texas ranch is over 150 years old, which shows how much Jones admires the history of his 3,000-acre piece of real estate. Jones told Texas Monthly that he lives the good life out there between the polo fields and cattle they have on the property.
“In the summers, we’ll work cattle, and then at about seven o’clock at night, we’ll start playing polo. We’ll play until about nine, and then when we’re done, we put the meat on the fire and watch the dark come. It’s a good life. Everyone is happy.”

Marisa Miller: Dale Jr.’s Ex-Girlfriend Is a Smokin’ Hot Model
Dale Earnhardt Jr has had his fair share of achievements in his career. When you're among one of the best in the sport, you get to enjoy some of the finer things in life. For example, let me introduce you to Dale Jr's ex-girlfriend, supermodel Marisa Miller. She's a gorgeous American model who was named "sexiest woman in the world" by FHM back in 2010. This woman isn't just looks, she's a motivated go-getter and has a pretty impressive career of her own to back that up.
You may have seen her on the cover of the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, or maybe you've seen her work as one of the Victoria's Secret Angels. She was even placed as number 1 in Maxim's "Hot 100" list. She's a true sight for sore eyes, so let's take a closer look at what she's accomplished during her career.
Born in Santa Cruz, California, Miller was first discovered by modeling agents while she was still in high school. She made some progress, and started to make a name for herself, but the first time she really gained attention was when she was featured nude in the first issue of Perfect 10 magazine back in 1997. By 2002, she moved more into mainstream modeling and started working with the Lingerie Brand, Victoria's Secret. She appeared in every single Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue from 2002-2008. The issue for 2007 included a famous picture from her photo shoot wearing nothing but an iPod. Also during this year, she made her debut into the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
During her last year of the swimsuit issues, the fashion model also became the first spokesperson for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. With them, she worked on different campaigns and helped provide quality advertisements and online content. They must have rubbed off on her because she even rides a Harley-Davidson Nightster. She took it even further and became a spokesperson for the NFL in 2010, and even hosted the international game between the 49ers and the Broncos.
She makes appearances in Television as well, in 2007 she stared in How I Met Your Mother and an episode of America's Next Top Model. Get this, she filmed a commercial for Guitar Hero: World Tour, but it was unable to air because it was too sexy. This woman seriously has got it going on! Even further than just television, she featured in film as well. Her first role was in 2013 with R.I.P.D, which also stared Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges.
We've only talked about some of the bigger things that Marissa Miller has managed to do during her career but she is a prime example of beauty and brains. She knows how to get stuff done and she's created quite the name for herself in the process. I wonder if Dale Jr ever had any second thoughts after seeing her named the sexiest woman in the world, years after their breakup. That's gotta be a little bit of a sting. I support this chick fully and hope she continues to provide the world with more content for everyone to drool over. I don't think anyone is getting tired of looking at her.

"Dixieland Delight" Makes Alabama Fans Go Crazy
In 1982, Ronnie Rogers wrote “Dixieland Delight,” which soared to No. 1 on the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs list after the band Alabama released it on their 1983 album “The Closer You Get..." When the University of Alabama began playing that song during the fourth quarter of Crimson Tide football games, it became an instant Southern classic and crowd favorite.
That is, until Alabama students created some, well, let’s call them “colorful” lyrics to make the song their own. In 2015, Dixieland Delight was removed from the game day experience and hadn’t returned to Bryant-Denny Stadium for several years. In 2018, the wait finally ended, and the hit song is got a second chance.
Alabama Athletic Director Greg Byrne, joined by Terry Saban, the wife of the school’s iconic head coach, preseason All-American running back Damien Harris, and the university’s student body president Price McGiffert, announced that the college football game day tradition would finally be returning.
The song would come back for good as long as Alabama students, already in hot water for Nick Saban for not showing up to blowout games, didn’t sing the old lyrics laced with profanity.
The Alabama student section whipped up some lyrics of their own in the past, which led to the song being banned. Those new lyrics are in all capital letters:
Spend my dollar, (ON BEER) parked in a holler,
‘Neath the mountain moonlight. (ROLL TIDE)
Hold her up tight, (AGAINST THE WALL)
Make a little lovin’, (ALL NIGHT)
A little turtle dovin’ On a Mason-Dixon night. (F*** AUBURN)
Fits my life, (LSU) oh so right, (AND TENNESSEE TOO)
My Dixieland Delight.
While they’re meant in good fun, older fans don't like hearing them during home games in Tuscaloosa like they have at numerous games, including the 2014 Iron Bowl when No. 1 Alabama knocked off No. 15 Auburn, 55-44.
When the Alabama Crimson Tide hosted the Missouri Tigers back in 2018, you better believe all attention turned towards the Alabama fans in anticipation for what they belted out.
Break out your Alabama band shirts because “Dixieland Delight” is here to stay.
