In this video, we’re going to talk about a study that links alcohol to 750,000 cancer cases each year.
A worldwide study in 2020 looked at the relationship between alcohol and cancer. They found that 4% of all cancers are caused by alcohol. 75% of these alcohol-related cancer cases are in men.
The most common types of cancer related to alcohol consumption (in order) are:
• Esophagus (32%!)
• Liver
• Breast
• Colorectal
• Head and neck
Alcohol-related cancer cases are most prevalent in eastern Asia and central and eastern Europe.
The question is, why does alcohol consumption increase your risk of cancer? There are five primary reasons. Take a look.
1. Alcohol gives off a toxic carcinogen called acetaldehyde
2. Alcohol increases ROS
3. Alcohol blocks antioxidant nutrients
4. Alcohol increases estrogen
5. Alcohol makes carcinogens more easily absorbed
Drinking kombucha tea can help reduce your cravings for alcohol. It has a similar texture to beer or champaign, and it can create a relaxed feeling after consuming it.
Nutritional yeast is also great for curbing cravings because it’s loaded with B vitamins.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids Reduce Insulin Resistance

Insulin resistance is behind so many health issues, and so many people have insulin resistance. Of course, a low-carb diet and fasting can help improve insulin resistance, but so can omega-3 fatty acids.
DHA and EPA are the two omega-3 fatty acids. These both have the capacity to improve insulin resistance and diabetes type 2.
These omega-3 fatty acids have very powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Anything that can reduce inflammation will also help reduce insulin resistance.
They support immunomodulation, which is the control of the immune system. There is a huge link between inflammation and the immune system. Omega-3 fatty acids also support the mitochondria in the muscles.
One study found a significant lowering of fasting insulin levels and decreased insulin resistance when they tested fish oils for insulin resistance.
Foods that contain omega-3 fatty acids (from highest to lowest):
1. Mackerel
2. Salmon
3. Cod liver oil
4. Sardines
5. Caviar
6. Anchovies
7. Tuna
8. Oysters

In this video, we’re going to talk about the fact that most medications originate from nature.
70% of all drugs created or discovered in the last 25 years were derived from natural products.
50% of all anti-cancer drugs since the 40s were either natural products or were derived from natural products.
What’s the difference between natural remedies and synthetic drugs?
Natural chemicals have complex chemistry, making it more difficult for them to bind to receptors and cause side effects.
Synthetic chemicals have simple chemistry, making it easier for them to bind to receptors and cause side effects.
Keep in mind that you should never stop taking your prescription medications without talking with your doctor.
Let’s take a look at synthetic drugs and potential natural alternatives.
Ibuprofen - Studies show that curcumin can be just as effective
Prozac - Studies show that curcumin can be just as effective
Metformin - Berberine has similar effects
Statins - Garlic and olive oil may produce similar effects
Lisinopril - Parsley, garlic, thyme, and cinnamon may produce similar effects
PPIs - Slippery elm may produce similar effects

Use DIM for HPV (Human Papilloma Virus)

0:00 Introduction: Use DIM for HPV
0:10 What is DIM?
0:40 How can DIM help with HPV?
2:43 Share your success story!
Let’s talk about why you may want to use DIM for HPV (human papillomavirus). DIM is a compound in cruciferous vegetables.
Certain phytonutrients are very unstable, so it’s hard to put them in a supplement. DIM is much more stable and can be used as a supplement.
HPV is the most common STD. 80% of sexually active adults have been exposed to HPV.
HPV can cause certain health problems, such as:
• Cervical dysplasia
• Breast cancer
• Genital warts
• Cancer of the throat, mouth, and tonsils
The National Cancer Institute is doing research on using DIM to treat HPV, and they’ve seen some good results.
Some interesting research shows potential improvement in using DIM for other types of herpes, as well. Like those that can cause cold sores and shingles.
Cruciferous vegetables can help you with things that go way beyond detoxification of the liver. They could help dismantle the effects of certain viruses, lower your risk of getting cancer and genital warts, and help with many other issues.

Find out why you can’t get enough vitamin D from your food.

0:00 Introduction: You can get enough vitamin D from food myth
0:17 Why most people can’t get enough vitamin D from sunlight
1:13 Key takeaways
In this video, we’re going to talk about why you can’t get vitamin D from food.
It is virtually impossible to get enough vitamin D from the foods you eat. You would have to consume fatty fish every single day to maintain normal levels of vitamin D.
Vitamin D is called the sunshine vitamin because your body produces vitamin D when you’re exposed to direct sunlight. However, it can be difficult to get enough vitamin D from sunlight unless the conditions are just right.
In the right conditions, you can get 1,000IU of vitamin D from sunlight for every 10 minutes of sun exposure.
But this is only if…
• You live close to the equator
• You’re young
• You’re not overweight
• It’s summer
• It’s midday
• You’re laying down
• You aren’t using sunscreen
• You have a healthy liver
• There are no clouds or pollution blocking sunlight
• You have no genetic defects
• You have no gastrointestinal damage
• You have a gallbladder

NAC stands for N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine. This is a stable form of cysteine.
Cysteine is a non-essential amino acid, and it functions as a stabilizer for the formation of protein structures in your body.
The benefits of NAC include:
1. Limits alcohol-induced liver damage
2. Helps reduce acne and acne scars
3. Limits ADHD medication toxicity
4. Helps reduce addiction
5. Helps manage COPD symptoms
6. Reduces mucus
7. Helps reduce OCF symptoms
8. Reduces depression and anxiety symptoms
9. Helps reduce symptoms of autism
10. Helps manage bipolar and schizophrenia symptoms
11. Limits acetaminophen (Tylenol)-induced liver damage
NAC helps normalize neurotransmitters, which helps with autism and many different forms of addiction, from food addiction to drug and alcohol addiction.
NAC also has the ability to boost a potent antioxidant called glutathione. Glutathione has the ability to repair your cells and protect them from oxidative stress.
In summary, NAC is a powerful substance that has many valuable benefits. If you give it a try, let me know how it works for you in the comments below.

Just Two Days of Sugar Devastates Your Gut Health
Is it okay to have sugar in moderation—maybe even just on the weekends? Find out!

0:00 Introduction: Is sugar fine in moderation?

DATA:

Some people think it’s fine to only have sugar in moderation. But, is it?
An interesting research paper out of the University of Alberta showed a significant increase in the risk of inflammatory bowel disease when they tested a short-term increase in sugar consumption.
Your good bacteria prefer fiber for fuel. Bad bacteria prefer sugar as fuel. When you feed pathogens the sugar they want, you can trigger all sorts of immune reactions. The good bacteria are fighting the bad bacteria, which causes an inflammatory condition.
When the ratio of good bacteria to bad bacteria is thrown off, a lot of gut inflammation and gut permeability issues (leaky gut) can occur. This can lead to autoimmune issues.
I really want to increase awareness on the point that it doesn’t take much sugar to create a problem. If you’re not consistently giving up sugar, you may want to try it and see what it does for your health.

Crave Carbs Late at Night?

In this video, we’re going to talk about why you crave carbs late at night.
Why are you craving carbs at night? The number one cause of carb cravings at night is not being in ketosis.
When you’re in ketosis, you don’t crave carbs, and you don’t feel hungry at night.
Cravings for carbs at night are a sign that you had a meal earlier in the day (or the night before) with too many carbs.
A blood sugar imbalance due to high-carb foods can affect your body for days—even if you’re on a keto diet for the rest of your meals.
How to curb your carb cravings:
1. Consume fewer than 30g carbs per day
2. Skip breakfast
3. Add more fat to your meals
4. Add more potassium to your meals with large salads
I like to add a large salad before each meal to help supply potassium and other important nutrients that help keep cravings at bay.

How Many Soft Drinks Do People Drink?

0:00 Introduction: How much soda do people drink?
0:50 The problem with drinking soft drinks
1:42 Share your success story!
How many soft drinks do people drink on a yearly basis?
Well, in the year 2000, the average American consumed 53 gallons of soda. That’s 5,088 tsp. of sugar. In 2018, the average American consumed 38.97 gallons of soda, which is 3,741 tsp. of sugar.
Drinking this much soda will create a lot of inflammation in the heart, kidneys, and nervous system. Soft drinks are even linked to an increased risk of bone loss. Most of the bone loss occurs in the hip.
I hope this increases your awareness of soda as a source of sugar and the mass consumption of soda.

A few things that can contain obesogens:
• Food containers
• Baby bottles
• Toys
• Plastics and their related chemicals
• Non-stick Teflon cookware
• Cosmetics
These things give off chemicals that mimic estrogen. Estrogen is one of the hormones that make you fat.
Obesogens to look out for:
• BPA (found in plastics)
• Phthalates (found in plastics)
• Atrazine (herbicide)
• PFOA (found in certain non-stick pans like Teflon)
• DES (a banned drug that's still in the environment)

Is Ketosis Safe While Pregnant?
Here’s what you need to know about keto and pregnancy. Let’s talk about keto and pregnancy. You might hear that keto is not healthy for someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. So, is keto safe when pregnant?

Foods to Avoid When Pregnant:

The conventional thought is that we need to consume 175g-300+g of carbs per day. This includes women who are pregnant. It’s recommended that 45-65% of all of your calories be carbohydrates.
It’s also said that ketones could affect fetal brain development. This thought is based on one study that measured urine ketones (not blood ketones) just one time during labor (not throughout pregnancy). This is somehow correlated to the child’s IQ. But, there were no follow-up studies to confirm the outcome. However, women typically don’t eat anything during labor. So, if you’re not eating, you’re generating ketones.
It's actually natural for a pregnant woman to make ketones. She may generate even more ketones than when she's not pregnant, even if the carbs are a bit higher. Ketosis is very different from ketoacidosis. Diabetic ketoacidosis is a situation where a diabetic doesn't take their insulin, and they have extremely high blood sugar levels, very high ketones, very acidic urine, and the blood starts to become very acidic. This is much different than what happens when you're pregnant.
The problem with pregnancy and being on a high-carb diet is that you increase the risk of gestational diabetes, and you greatly affect the future of the child’s health. It is vital that a woman eats extremely healthy while pregnant.
