The Benefits of Diatomaceous Earth for Humans
Check out the amazing benefits of diatomaceous earth for humans.
0:00 Introduction: Diatomaceous earth explained
0:25 Benefits of silica
1:33 Diatomaceous earth benefits
2:20 How to use diatomaceous earth
3:30 Thanks for watching!
Diatomaceous earth has been around for millions of years. It’s a powder made up of fossilized diatoms. Diatoms are basically algae or phytoplankton.
The unique thing about diatomaceous earth is that it’s loaded with silicon. When silicon is exposed to oxygen, it becomes silica.
Silica is really good for a person’s connective tissues, joints, and bones. Calcium can’t even help you form bone without silica.
You need enough silica to help support bone mineralization and prevent conditions like osteoporosis and osteopenia.
Silica is also essential for your:
• Ligaments
• Tendons
• Cartilage
• Nails
• Hair
• Skin
• Aorta
• Trachea
There are different types of collagen. Silica also stimulates type 1 collagen.
Other potential health benefits of diatomaceous earth:
• It may help get rid of parasites, worms, pathogens, and even E. coli
• It can bind with aluminum and help remove it from the body
How to use diatomaceous earth:
Drink one teaspoon of diatomaceous earth mixed in a glass of water once per day. Over the next three days, you might want to increase it to two teaspoons per day.
Be sure to take it on an empty stomach. To help improve absorption, you can also add apple cider vinegar to the water and diatomaceous earth mixture—or take a few betaine hydrochloride tablets when you take the mixture.
If you’re only trying to build up your connective tissue, you may want to take an orthosilicic acid supplement instead. But, if you want all of the above benefits, give diatomaceous earth a try.

In this video, we’re going to talk about using cod liver oil for ADHD. If you or your child has ADHD, you may want to give cod liver oil a try. Here’s why.
ADHD is attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. This is the combination of a lack of attention, lack of focus, and increased restlessness.
Cod liver oil not only has DHA and EPA (omega 3 fatty acids), but it also has vitamin D and vitamin A. Fish oil only has DHA and EPA.
You can get cod liver oil in a supplement, or you can get it in a can. Make sure you get wild-caught cod liver oil instead of farm-raised.
The question is, how does cod liver oil help ADHD symptoms, like concentration, focus, and learning?
Well, your brain is made up of about 60% fat. The cerebral cortex is 20% DHA fat. The neurons and brain cells are high in omega 3 fatty acids.
Additionally, DHA and EPA have incredible anti-inflammatory effects.
In fact, those who have ADHD tend to have significantly lower omega 3 fatty acids.
Keep in mind that it can take up to three months to see meaningful results when taking cod liver oil. You also need to be on a healthy keto diet to see the full results.
You also want to use vitamin B1 for the hyperactivity part of ADHD. You can get this from nutritional yeast.

American Cheese Is Not Even Cheese
American cheese isn’t actually cheese at all… Find out what's really in American cheese!
0:00 Introduction: American cheese is not even cheese
0:27 What is in American cheese?
2:02 The benefits of real cheese
2:27 Share your success story!
In this video, we’re going to talk about why American cheese isn’t real cheese.
On the back of American cheese products, you’ll find a label that says “pasteurized cheese product.”
Why?
To be considered cheese, a cheese product has to contain at least 51% cheese—American cheese doesn’t.
What is in American cheese, then?
Take a look…
American cheese is made out of:
• Unfermented dairy from commercial cows
• Emulsifiers
• Sodium phosphate (potential cause of kidney damage)
• Tartrate (may cause diarrhea)
• Salt
• Artificial color
• Whey
• Modified food starch
• Natamycin (mold inhibitor)
• Soy or canola oil
• Vitamins
• Trisodium phosphate (used as a cleaner and stain remover)

Lyme disease is caused by a spirochete (spiral bacteria). You can be infected from a tick bite, but not everyone bitten by a tick will get Lyme disease. People with a lowered immune system are more susceptible to getting Lyme disease from a tick bite.
Antibiotics are the primary treatment for Lyme disease. But, antibiotics don’t always work for Lyme disease. 20% of the time, people even develop a resistance to the antibiotic. In some cases, when people come off of antibiotics, they get worse. Some people may have to stay on antibiotics for a long time.
This microbe has been around for a very long time and has developed defense mechanisms to survive. If your immune system is healthy, the microbe can go into a dormant state for years. The microbe waits until you get stressed, sick, or just get older, to come out and kick you when you’re down.
In an interesting study, stevia showed a significant effect compared to three different antibiotics. Stevia was also able to eliminate the spirochetes and biofilms, whereas the antibiotics increased biofilms. This was not a human study, but it’s very promising.
Check out my other videos for more natural remedies for Lyme disease, and don’t forget about stevia as a potential remedy for Lyme disease.

Is Coconut Milk or Water Keto Friendly?
Can you have coconut milk or coconut water on keto? Find out!
Are coconut milk and coconut water keto-friendly? Let’s talk about it.
For more details on this topic, check out the full article on the website: ➡️ https://drbrg.co/3hhP7uI
0:00 Introduction: Coconut milk and coconut water on keto
0:12 Coconut milk vs. coconut water
2:30 Share your success story!
Canned coconut milk (1 cup):
Fat—58g
Carb—13g
Fiber—5g
Net carb—8g
Potassium—631g
Silk coconut milk (1 cup):
Fat—4g
Carb—1g
Potassium—310g
Depending on what type of coconut milk you get, it’s going to be more or less keto-friendly, but even 8g of carbs aren’t too bad. You just want to make sure you have less than 20g-30g of carbs per day to really get into ketosis.
Overall, is coconut milk keto-friendly? Yes. And, it works great in coffee and in all kinds of keto-friendly recipes.
Coconut water (1 cup):
Fat—0.5g
Carb—11g
Potassium—600mg
Sodium—282mg
A lot of people consume coconut water for electrolytes because the potassium/sodium ratio is pretty good. I do think the carbs are a bit too high for keto. But, depending on how many other carbs you have in a day, you may still be able to get away with it. It’s definitely much better than juice or soda.

Cooking and Heating Turmeric Enhances Nutrients
Will cooking turmeric destroy its health benefits, or is this a myth? Find out! Turmeric is an incredible natural remedy for inflammation and many other things. But, I have people comment that you shouldn’t heat turmeric because heat will destroy the phytonutrients. This, however, is a complete myth.

2:25 3 powerful phytonutrients in turmeric
3:28 Share your success story!
You would think that heat would destroy all compounds. But, in the case of certain herbal remedies, heat actually seems to enhance certain phytonutrients.
In an interesting study, they tested roasting, boiling, and cooking turmeric at temperatures of 180 degrees Celcius or 356 degrees Fahrenheit for 70 minutes. They measured the total antioxidant capacity.
They found three very powerful antioxidants not only survived but were enhanced with this heat. This is called thermal degradation. It enhances the concentration and increases the solubility of certain phytonutrients.
3 powerful phytonutrients in turmeric:
1. Ferculic acid
• It’s an antioxidant
• It helps protect the skin
• It helps counter sun damage
2. 4 vinyl guaiacol:
• It enhances Nrf2 (decreases cellular stress and increases antioxidant defense mechanism)
3. Vanillin
• It’s an antioxidant
• It’s an anti-inflammatory
• It’s antimicrobial

Calcium and Your Immune System: IMPORTANT
Here’s what you really should know about calcium and your immune system. Calcium is vital for your immune system. Calcium allows your white blood cells to get fuel. The ability of your white blood cells to multiply is also dependent on calcium.

Calcium is an essential signaling molecule in the communication process within your immune system and your cells. Your neutrophils, which make up the great majority of your white blood cells, are dependent on calcium as well. Calcium is also anti-fever because it supports the immune system.
Low vitamin D is the number one cause of hypocalcemia. Vitamin D helps with the absorption of calcium. Vitamin D by itself is vital for the immune system.
Causes of hypocalcemia (low calcium in the blood):
1. Low vitamin D
2. Alkalosis
3. Low magnesium
4. Liver or kidney disease
Hypocalcemia is a common finding in viral infections, but there are quite a few other symptoms of hypocalcemia you could experience that aren’t related to the immune system, such as:
• Chronic cough
• Wheezing
• Difficulty swallowing
• Night cramps
• Charlie horse
• Restless legs syndrome
• Bruising
• Tetany
• Numbness around the lips, tongue, fingertips, or toes
• Insomnia
• Menstrual cramps
• Brittle nails
• Dry skin
• Itchy skin
• Coarse hair

Is MCT Oil Good or Bad for a Fatty Liver
Can you use MCT oil if you have a fatty liver? Here’s what you need to know.
In this video, we’re going to talk about whether MCT oil is good or bad for a fatty liver. In other videos, I’ve talked about how omega-6 fatty acids can be bad for your liver. This includes oils like soy oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, and canola oil.
Timestamps:

1:48 Key takeaways
However, omega-3 fatty acids are very good for a fatty liver. This includes fish oil and cod liver oil.
MCT oils, which are medium-chain triglycerides, are a unique type of fat that can be very good for your liver.
MCT fats are “burned” or oxidized into energy very quickly. Unlike other oils, MCT oil is water-soluble. Why is this significant? It doesn’t depend on bile or enzymes—you don’t have to break down MCT oil at all.
MCT oil bypasses your digestive system and is absorbed directly into the body.
MCT oil is great for:
• Dementia
• Malabsorption
• Epilepsy
• Supporting a healthy heart
• Those with no gallbladder
Keep in mind that MCT oil doesn’t contain vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids—so you’ll still need to get these in your diet when using MCTs.

How to Read a Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) Score
What is a CAC test, and how can you read your CAC score? Find out in this quick video.
In this video, we’re going to talk about how to read your coronary artery calcium (CAC) score.

0:00 Introduction: How to read a coronary artery calcium (CAC) score
1:25 What your CAC test results mean
2:04 What to do if you have bad CAC test results
3:10 Share your success story!
A CAC test will tell you the amount of calcium plaquing that is in your arteries.
When the inside of blood vessels becomes injured or inflamed, your body repairs the damage with calcium and cholesterol.
Your risk of heart attack is increased if you have high calcium in your arteries.
90% of men and 67% of women over the age of 70 have some amount of calcium in their arteries.
Consuming a high amount of carbohydrates is the primary cause of artery damage—it causes a large amount of irritation and inflammation.
Your CAC score can go from 0 to over 1000. Ideally, you want your score to be 0.
The CAC test is one of the best predictors of mortality from all causes.
Here’s how you can read your CAC score:
Score: 0
• Plaque: none
• Probability of heart disease: very low
Score: 1-10
• Plaque: minimal
• Probability of heart disease: low
Score: 11-100
• Plaque: mild atherosclerosis
• Probability of heart disease: minimal
Score: 101-400
• Plaque: moderate atherosclerosis
• Probability of heart disease: moderate
Score: 400+
• Plaque: extensive atherosclerosis
• Probability of heart disease: high
What can you do if you have unfavorable CAC test results? Try…
• Healthy Keto
• Intermittent fasting
• Vitamin B3 (niacin)
• Tocotrienols
• Vitamin K2
• EDTA

0:14 Vitamin D amounts in food
2:44 Share your success story!
It's important to know that you can't get the vitamin D you need from food.
I believe a good maintenance amount of vitamin D is 10,000IU. 10,000IU is not toxic, and there are specific reasons why you need that much. Check out my other videos on vitamin D for more information.
I want to share with you different foods that contain vitamin D, the quantity of vitamin D each of these foods contains, and how much of that specific food you would need to consume on a daily basis to achieve a good maintenance level of vitamin D (10,000IU).
3oz. Mackerel—1006IU—10 servings
3oz. Salmon (wild)—988IU—10 servings (30oz.)
1 cup Mushrooms (white)—732IU—14 cups
3oz. Trout—645IU—15 servings (42oz.)
3oz. Salmon (farm)—570IU—18 servings (54oz.)
1 tsp. Cod liver oil—448IU—22 tsp.
1 can Canned tuna—268IU—32 servings (129.5oz.)
3.5oz. Herring—216IU—46 servings (56oz.)
1 cup Yogurt—154IU—65 cups
3oz. Beef liver—42IU—238 servings (714oz.)
1 Egg yolk—37IU—270 eggs
While you should consume these foods, you shouldn't rely on them for vitamin D. It would be better to get your vitamin D from the sun or a supplement.

Is Your Cell Phone Causing Sweet Cravings Late at Night?

1:27 Craving sugar at night? Try these tips
1:55 Share your success story!
Some people still have sugar cravings at night while they are on a Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting plan. Why?
I stumbled upon a study that had some interesting data about sweet cravings that come from things other than your diet.
Cell phones, tablets, computers, and TVs, emit blue light. When blue light goes into the retina and the hypothalamus, it can affect your circadian rhythm.
Blue light interferes with your melatonin level and spikes your cortisol level. In turn, this can affect your blood sugar level.
When you have low blood glucose late at night, you can experience strong cravings for sweets.
Just an hour of blue light exposure has the potential to increase your sugar cravings.
If you experience sweet cravings late at night, here’s what you can try:
• Turn your phone and computer on nightshift mode or use an app to filter out blue light
• Wear glasses that filter out blue light in the evening
• Avoid the use of your electronic devices within two hours of bedtime
• Use warm or red light in the evening and avoid blue-tinted or cool lights
Give these tips for avoiding blue light a try, and let me know if they help you with your cravings for sweets in the comments below.

In this short video, I want to cover how NAC works. NAC (N-acetylcysteine) is a highly-studied compound used in emergency rooms for Tylenol overdose. It also helps detoxify if you have alcohol poisoning. Another powerful effect of NAC is the prevention of excessive mucus, fluid, and inflammation in the lungs.
NAC works by increasing glutathione. Glutathione is a major antioxidant. When you have too much poison in your body, glutathione gets depleted. This causes free radical damage and oxidative stress that can destroy the liver. Glutathione protects against poisons and other things that increase oxidation and free radical damage.
Glutathione helps:
• Decrease xenobiotics (poisons in the body)
• Stop free radical damage
• Counter the effects of hydrogen peroxide
• Chelate heavy metals
• Decrease pathogens
• Decrease oxidative stress
Other things that help boost glutathione:
• Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA)
• Vitamin D
• SAMe
A few potential causes of low glutathione:
• Cancer
• HIV
• Infection
• Trauma
• Burns
• Chronic disease and inflammation
• Overtraining
• Poisoning
• Diabetes

The Top Sign That You're Consuming Too Much Protein
It's important to make sure you're not consuming too much protein. Check out the top sign that you are.

2:26 Share your success story!
In this short video, I want to cover the signs that you're consuming too much protein.
Signs you're consuming too much protein:
1. Gastrointestinal malaise
This is a general discomfort or uneasiness in your digestive system. Something just doesn't feel right.
2. Dysphoria
This is a state of generalized unhappiness, restlessness, dissatisfaction, or frustration.
3. Lethargy
This is a lack of energy and enthusiasm.
4. Weakness
On the keto diet, you should keep your protein calories at rough about 20%.
Skeletal muscle protein synthesis (the creation of new muscle or repair of muscle) occurs when you consume about 20-25g of protein per meal. But, once you go over this, you're going to have less protein synthesis and more oxidation.
As far as your keto plan, consuming too much protein will reduce your keto adaptation, increase your blood sugars, increase your insulin, and drop your ketone production. You only need a moderate amount of protein on the keto diet.

98 Percent of Sleep Apnea Cases Have Low Vitamin D

Let’s talk about sleep apnea. According to a certain study, 98% of people with sleep apnea have a vitamin D deficiency.
Vitamin D significantly reduces inflammation. Many times, the tissues in the back of the throat and the back of the sinuses are inflamed, causing sleep apnea.
Vitamin D supports an overactive immune system. When a person has an overactive immune system, certain tissues in the body can be inflamed and obstruct breathing.
Vitamin D also has a direct effect on your sleep cycles. It helps you get into a deep sleep. Without vitamin D, it’s difficult to get into delta wave sleep.
We’re talking about vitamin D3, not vitamin D2. There have been some reports that vitamin D2 could actually cause insomnia.
A vitamin D deficiency can affect both sleep apnea and sleep quality in general. Low back pain and snoring are linked to a vitamin D deficiency.
Low vitamin D can also cause high stress, low mood, and unbalanced cortisol, which can all affect your sleep. Teeth grinding is associated with low vitamin d as well, which can affect your sleep.
It may be beneficial to take vitamin D with magnesium. Magnesium can help with the absorption of vitamin D, and it can also help with leg and foot cramps at night.
Vitamin D is also majorly associated with insulin resistance. If you have insulin resistance, you won’t be able to absorb vitamin D very well. If you have low vitamin D, your chance of developing insulin resistance goes up.
If you have sleep problems or sleep apnea, consider taking at least 10,000IU of vitamin D right before you go to sleep. Also, make sure to take magnesium with it.

3:38 Share your success story!
Let’s talk about the most common cause of hair loss. The most common cause of hair loss is androgenic alopecia.
Androgenic alopecia is pattern hair loss. In men, this could be a receding hairline as well as hair loss on the top of the head. In women, this could be more of a thinning of the hair all over the head. Androgenic alopecia affects 50-80% of males and 25-50% of females.
Hair loss medications work in a few different ways. One popular medication works by increasing oxygen, nutrients, and nitric oxide to the scalp.
Most hair loss medications work by inhibiting a certain enzyme called 5-alpha reductase, which converts testosterone into a much more powerful form of testosterone called DHT. DHT is a type of androgen.
Too much DHT can cause:
• A thickening of the dermis around the hair follicle (which suffocates the hair follicle)
• An increase in fibrosis (scarring that wraps around the hair)
• Calcification around the hair follicles
The enzyme 5-alpha reductase seems to be a key factor in whether or not you could develop hair loss. Insulin increases 5-alpha reductase.
Conditions that involve high insulin are associated with androgenic alopecia. Low progesterone can also increase 5-alpha reductase.
Lowering insulin by getting on a low-carb diet and doing intermittent fasting may help with androgenic alopecia.
Natural remedies for androgenic alopecia:
• Saw palmetto
• Zinc
• DHA (an omega-3 fatty acid)
• GLA (a certain type of fat)
