5 CONFIRMED DEAD IN COLLAPSED PETROL STATION FENCE
Five people have been confirmed dead and three others injured following a collapsed petrol station fence in Ndejje Kanyanya Makindye division in Kampala.
The collapsed fence follows the early morning heavy rains in different parts of Kampala metropolitan area.

BALAALO IN ACHOLI REGION: SITUATIONS THAT BRING SENTIMENTS IN PEOPLE CAN NOT BE RESOLVED BY LAWS
The conflict of Balaalo in Acholi in Northern Uganda has been attributed to dishonesty, not doing things correctly and Acholi people not having a common link with the balaalo.
During an exclusive interview with the former leader of opposition in parliament professor Ogenga Latigo said situations that bring sentiments in people cannot be resolved by laws or rationalized by purchasThe nomadic pastoralist’s community known as balaalo began migrating to acholi sub-region in 2017 and the influx in numbers was seen in 2021 during the covid 19 period.
These said to come from Rwanda, Tanzania and Ankole are allegedly acquiring customary land through conniving with a few individuals in Acholi sub-region and security personnel.
LAWYER ELIAS LUKWAGO TO PETITION SPEAKER AND CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OVER DIRECTIVES
Lawyer Erias Lukwago has revealed plans to petition the constitutional court over the recent directives issued by the speaker of Parliament against absenteeism by MPs.
This follows a Confusion which as has struck the Parliamentary committees as starts to bite.
Despite the instruction that the protesters should not attend committee sittings, some of the accused members are confused since they receive messages inviting them for the respective sessions.
Among the most affected is MP Francis Zaake who is being investigated for alleged public disorder as a Member of Parliament when he provoked a fellow MP Julie Kinyamatama.
Lawyer Erias Lukwago who appeared in the committee of Rules, privileges and Discipline to represent his client questioned why the Rules committee invited MP Zaake yet he is part of the boycotters.
