Karamoja Amnesty window - UPDF extends amnesty to one month
Armed Karimojong Warriors have been urged to surrender their guns voluntarily before the amnesty window expires.
The call follows a warning by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in May this year, where he announced an amnesty window to all armed Karimojong Warriors
This was during a peace meeting held in Nabilatuk town council.
Addressing Bunagana water scarcity - ICRC, NWSC launch Kisoro water supply reinforcement project
The International Committee of the Red Cross in collaboration with the National Water and Sewerage Corporation has launched the Kisoro water supply reinforcement project in Bunagana Town Council.
The initiative will see construction of an extensive water tank with a capacity of 150,000 liters.

As Uganda gears for international day of persons with disability, government has been asked to increase funding for innovation to facilitate rapid technological advancement targeting to address challenges faced by persons living with disabilities.
Despite registering great strides as regards to improving the welfare of persons living with disabilities, the disability prevalence stands at 12.4% an indicator that more needs to be done to ensure no one is left behind.
This call was made by the state minister in-charge of disability affairs Helen Asamo as she addressed journalists ahead of the international day for persons living with disabilities at the Uganda Media Center in Kampala.

Presidential investors conference - Museveni set to meet Ugandan investors on 29th Nov 2023
President Yoweri Museveni is set to meet Ugandan investors on 29th November 2023 at Kololo ceremonial grounds.
The much anticipated interface with the investors has been dubbed the Presidential Investors Conference and is the first of its kind.
It is expected to attract over 5,000 registered investors in the country ranging from manufacturing, ICT, service sectors among others.

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa has appealed to China to consider supporting Uganda’s drive to end the dependency syndrome.
This follows a visit by the Deputy Chairman of the standing committee on the People’s Republic of China to Uganda LUOSANG JIANGCUN and received by the Deputy Speaker Tayebwa.
Tayebwa appealed for more technology transfer to add value to Uganda’s products to increase the export base of Uganda to China.
According to Tayebwa, the export of Uganda’s raw materials to China fetches low results hence downplaying the country’s balance of trade.
