JAPAN’S AMBASSADOR FUKUZAWA ASSESSES REFUGEE PROJECTS IN N. UGANDA
Japan's Ambassador to Uganda, Hidemoto Fukuzawa has reiterated Japan's steadfast commitment to supporting Uganda's refugee response during his visit to Northern Uganda.
Ambassador Fukuzawa inspected projects, notably the modern Out Patient Department at Arua Regional Referral Hospital, a major initiative funded by the Japanese government through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JAICA).

COVENANT NATIONS CHURCH TO RAISE UG SHS. 1.160 BILLION FORTHE CONSTRUCTION
On Friday 24th November 2023, guests representing a diversity of partners braved the rain to attend the Covenant Nations Church’s 2nd annual partners’ dinner at Las Vegas Hotel in Bunga, Kampala.
The dinner was intended to appraise the partners on the work God has enabled the Covenant Nations Church (CNC) accomplish in 2023 and to also fund raise for financial support towards the two Light Up Missions planned for 2024 in the country and the construction of a multi-purpose hall for the Edward and Erina Kataaha Bible College in Maya Wakiso District.
Covenant Nations Church is targeting to raise Ug Shs. 1.160 billion towards the cause.
The First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports Mrs. Janet Museveni graced the dinner as the chief guest and said all praise and glory goes to God for what He is using the Covenant Nations Church to do in this time.

UPDF SOLDIER SENTENCED TO 65 YRS FOR KOTIDO MURDERS
UPDF Soldier Private Peter Lokidi has been sentenced to sixty-five years in prison for the murder of three individuals and the attempted murder of two others in Nakaperimoru sub-county, Kotido district.
Chaired by Col Francis Katereho, the court concluded a week-long field hearing addressing various cases of gun violence in Kotido.
Private Lokidi, aged thirty-three, broke into the residence of the Officer-In-Charge of Nakapelimoru police station on September 22, 2023, and used the accessed firearm to commit the crime
Despite pleading not guilty, Lokidi was convicted based on prosecution evidence.
PRIME MINISTER NABBANJA UNVEILS 2.4B HEALTHCARE UPGRADE AT GOMBE HOSPITAL
Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has inaugurated new healthcare facilities valued at 2.4 billion shillings at Gombe Government Hospital in Butambala district.
The facilities consist of 16 staff quarters and a maternal and child health ward.
Nabbanja emphasized government's commitment to infrastructure development in the health sector and urged health workers to attend to the public.

KARIMAJONG CULTURE: POWER TRANSITION FROM NGIMORU TO THE GAZELLES
The stage is set for the transfer of Karimajong power in Moroto, scheduled for tomorrow.
This transition follows a reduction in the number of ruling group members.
Currently held by the Ngimoru, who serve as decision-makers in Karamoja, the power will shift among the three Karimajong clans: Matheniko of Moroto, Bokora of Napak, and Pian of Nakapiripirit and Nabilatuk districts.

Homes & Construction expo 2023 - Minister Mayanja implores public to protect remaining empty spaces

While addressing the press at media centre in Kampala the minister for water and environment Sam Cheptoris said the key priorities for Uganda in this conference is to take a firm position on the inevitable and essential phase down of fossil fuels, and call for the tripling of renewable energy output to 11,000 gig watts by the parties.
Some of the thematic areas of this conference are climate adaptation, mitigation, capacity building technology development and transfer, gender compliance and transparency, and climate finance.

MOH receives cold chain equipment worth $4.9 million to boost immunisation in 39 districts
The Minister of Health Dr Jane Ruth Aceng has revealed that there is stagnation in coverage for vaccines especially in routine immunizations and with support hoping to enhance the coverage to over 95 percent for the 13 antigens in immunization.
Aceng made the remarks while receiving Cold Chain equipment, motorcycles and tracks procured by Africa CDC through the master card foundation worth $4.9million.
