Rep. Donalds: Kaitlan Collins Spent More Time Interjecting Her Points of View than Questioning Trump
COOPER: “You’re a supporter of the former president.”
DONALDS: “Well, a couple things. First of all, town halls are for the voters, not for the press, not for the person who is the moderator. Kaitlan spent more time interjecting her own viewpoints or her views on a situations — “
COOPER: “Those were actually facts, though.”
DONALDS: “Hold on. Are you guys now going to interject here or do I get a chance to speak now?”
COOPER: “Those were facts.”
DONALDS: “The town hall is for the president to speak to the voters of New Hampshire, not for this back-and-forth with the media.”
COOPER: “But that’s not true. Who defined that?”
DONALDS: “Hold on. That’s number one. Number two, with respect to Ukraine, I totally disagree. He did not say he was just going to give over Ukraine the way you intimate, Van. He did not say that.”
Jones: “He did not say he wished a victory in Ukraine — “
DONALDS: “What he said was is that he would actually look for a solution to end it quickly. He put 24 hours on it. But let’s be very clear, what Joe Biden has done has been a disaster, because initially with Ukraine, Joe Biden wanted to give Volodymyr Zelenskyy a ride out of dodge, he wanted to give him a plane ride, and it wasn’t until people in Moscow and Ukraine, here in the United States, said this invasion is wrong and Joe Biden reversed course.”
Jones: “Do you want a victory in Ukraine? Do you want a victory in Ukraine?”
DONALDS: “I’m just trying to respond to everything that’s been coming up on the table. Lastly, let me say this. We spent 22, 23 minutes talking about January 6th? We could have been talking about a whole lot of other issues instead of doing that for the first half hour or so. But let me be very clear, what was said in this town hall about National Guard troops that were authorized by Kaitlan was wrong. I’m on the Oversight Committee. I was in two hearings on January 6th. It was testified in oversight that Donald Trump authorized National Guard troops on January 4, he followed up in a call with then-acting secretary of defense on January 5 trying to see where the deployment was on those troops. That is testimony in the Oversight Committee. Everybody testified at the Oversight Committee when Nancy Pelosi was speaker of the House except one organization, and that was the Capitol Police because Nancy Pelosi would not allow them. I’m telling you what was testified to in the Oversight Committee under oath.”

Trump on National Debt: "We’re Spending Money Like Drunken Sailors."
TRUMP: "If they don’t give you massive cuts, you’re going to have to do a default, and I don’t believe they’re going to do a default because I think the Democrats will absolutely cave because you don’t want to have that happen, but it’s better than what we’re doing right now because we’re spending money like drunken sailors.
>> Just to be clear, Mr. President, you think the U.S. Should default if the White House does not agree to the spending cuts Republicans are demanding?
TRUMP: We might as well do it now than do it later because our country is dying. Our country is being destroyed by stupid people, very stupid people.
>> You once said using the debt ceiling as a negotiating wedge could not happen.
TRUMP: Sure, that’s when I was president.
>> So why is it different now when you’re out of office?
TRUMP: Because now I’m not president.
[Applause]
>> The U.S. defaulting would be massively consequential for everyone –
TRUMP: You don’t know. It’s psychological more than anything else. And it could be very bad. It could be maybe nothing. Maybe you have have a bad week or a bad day, but, look, you have to cut your costs. We’re spending $7 trillion on much of it on nonsense. $7 trillion on nonsense.

Rep. Johnson: ‘Those Folks Coming Across the Border Are Helping to Put Food on Our Table’
Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA): "Those folks coming across the border are the ones who are helping to put food on our table. Without them, we are not able to eat. If you turn them away, if all of them were turned away, and then this legislation passed making it easier to get at people who are already here legally and you have no immigration then we would have no food on our plates. We would have nobody taking care of the building, the construction of our homes, we would have nobody cleaning up in the hospitals. Uuuuuh ya know, honest work that deserves an honest day's pay. You know. That's the kind of system that we need to have in this country. Immigration is important and my friends on the other side of the aisle want to pretend that they want to close this border."

Jean-Pierre: ‘There Are Challenges at the Border’ that Biden ‘Has Taken Seriously from Day One’
Jean-Pierre: “There are challenges at the border. This is something that the President has taken seriously from day one, putting forth a comprehensive piece of legislation to deal with immigration reform, something that has been a problem for the past several decades. The system has been broken for the past several decades.”
REPORTER: “...The President speak out about Title 42 share a message that Mayorkas has given or you know — you know, something to that effect. What we hear from the president on Title 42?”
Jean-Pierre: “Well, I would say you heard from the president this — this past Friday. He did a — he did a interview, a sit down interview with one of the networks and talked about Title 42, talked about immigration. So the American people did hear directly from the president on this issue. I don’t have anything else to share in the next couple of days about the president’s schedule. So, I’ll just leave it there. But he was asked a question and he answered it.”
REPORTER: "Should the Vice President be involved in today’s meeting since she’ll, be here in the country, while the president is away?"
Jean-Pierre: "So the President is is closely... has been closely consulting with the Vice President on this. They have have had several conversations on this issue and so again when it comes to issues that matter to the American people, they’re very much partners."

Karine Jean-Pierre Explains Why People Have To Pay Their Debts
Jean-Pierre: “If you buy a car, you are expected to pay the monthly payments. If you buy a home, you are expected to pay the mortgage every month. That is the expectation. That is the spending that you put forth or spending that you may have done before and now you’re paying it every month. If you do not pay your car payment, if you do not pay your mortgage payment, then your credit is going to be bad. It’s going to hurt your credit. So, let’s look at Congress for a second. This is spending that they’ve already done. They’ve already spent. Let’s not forget the $2 trillion Trump tax cuts that they were willing and happy to vote for. So, we’re telling them, or saying to them, do your job. Pay for something that you’ve already spent on. That’s it. This is spending that has already occurred. They need to do the right thing that has been done, 78 times since 1960. It’s that simple. It is very, very simple. It is the right thing to do. It is their constitutional duty. It is not complicated at all.”

Gov. Greg Abbott: Biden’s Ending of Title 42 Will Lead to 4.7M Illegal Border Crossings a Year
ABBOTT: “We’re here today because of the impending end of Title 42 policy. With the Biden Administration ending Title 42 this Thursday, President Biden is laying down a welcome mat to people across the entire world saying that the United States border is wide open. And it will lead to an incredible amount of people coming across the border illegally. President Biden’s open border policies is going to cause a catastrophic disaster in the United States. According to the Biden Administration itself, they anticipate about 13,000 people coming across the border illegally every single day. If you extend that out over the course of a year, it means there will be about 4,700,000 people coming across the border a year. That will mean that there will be more people coming across the border illegally than there are residents of the massive city of Chicago. The bottom line is, it did not have to be this way. So never forget this. Just three years ago, we had the lowest border crossings in decades. And those low number of border crossings were a result of the policies put in place by the Trump Administration. It was the Title 42 policy, the Remain in Mexico policy, the ending of catch and release, building a border wall, as well as sending a message across the entire world. America is not open to people who are trying to come here illegally. If you want to come to the United States of America, you must do so legally, not illegally. Today, however, we’re dealing with the highest number of people coming across the border than ever before, and we will set a new all-time record this year. All of this is a result of policy decisions by Joe Biden.”

Gavin Newsom shouldn’t get to decide which businesses survive. Neither should Congress
California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has shown America that he is about ideology before the citizens. The application of AB 5 in California made it harder for citizens to make a living. Worse, it made it near impossible for these American citizens to engage their rights under the US Constitution.
Now, Democrats want to bring AB 5 to America with "The Pro Act." Casey Mattox, VP for Legal and Judicial Strategy at AFP, explains why AB 5 and the Pro Act are unAmerican and wholly unnecessary.

Should The GOP Consider Arizona In Play For 2024?
Is Arizona a red state or a blue state? Well, based on election results, it's very blue. Based on questions about those election results, it's anybody's guess. And based on positions taken by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, who knows what she'll think from one day to the next!
It's not just a mess, it's a dilemma. How does one campaign there? Should GOP contenders really stick their neck out for it in 2024? Will Biden take the state for granted?
Arizona Republic contributor and editor of Ricochet.com Jon Gabriel talks to Tony about what to expect.

The Future of Farms and Protecting Women in Sports - Rep. Kat Cammack Talks to Tony Katz
Florida Republican Representative Kat Cammack talks to Tony Katz about the future of farms in the US and the importance of protecting women in sports.
For the past month, Rep. Cammack has been touring farms across Florida to understand what they are up against: rising fuel prices, tight labor market, increased interest rates on capital and competition from China.
Rep. Cammack also voted to protect women in sports. From her website, "(Rep. Cammack) voted in support of H.R. 734, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023, which strengthens the law's existing protections for women, ensures a level playing field for female athletes, and protects the law from the Biden administration's radical regulatory scheme.

JP Morgan Buys First Republic Bank. Here's What it Really Means for Us.
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen was clear a few weeks back: All The Banks are Equal, But Some are More Equal Than Others.
When a bunch of banks came together to "support" First Republic Bank when it started to falter, economist Dr. Matt Will said it clearly: These banks are getting in line...hoping to buy First Republic up at a discount.
JP Morgan got the sweetheart deal, which includes guarantees and the FDIC covering losses.
Once again, big banks make bank and the American people pay for it. Right?
Dr. Will explains what happened to First Republic Bank, how the government gave JP Morgan the deal and what it means for smaller banks and their depositors...like you.

Why Walls Work: Tony Katz at the Southern Border
Tony Katz took his first visit to the Southern Border with Americans For Prosperity. After a briefing from Customs and Border Patrol, as well as former Rep. Mayra Flores, Tony saw the wall for himself. He also so the problems Border Patrol is having across the 2000+ miles of border.
Walls do work, and Border Patrol was clear with Tony about that. (Actually, it's a fence, which Border Patrol seems to prefer, as you can see through it.) Those who diminish the wall's value do so for craven political purposes while willfully avoiding the facts.

Fauci REFUSES To Take Responsibility for COVID guidelines on school closures and masks
Fauci: “Well, that’s true, Kaitlan. But the point that I made in my response to the Reporter in ‘The New York Times’ article was that what it is that there was a personification of me as a person who essentially closed everything down. Those were public health recommendations that came from the CDC. And I have always been very supportive of the CDC because they base their recommendations purely on public health issues. And the point that I made that, as public health officials, it’s our responsibility to give the public health perspective to it. The decision of how that balances with other considerations really comes from other authorities, some authorities who have things other than just the public health to be concerned about, economic and other considerations. So, that’s the point I was making. I was not trying to shun away from responsibility. We made a public health recommendation based on sound public health principles.
COLLINS: "to hear that they only work at the margins maybe 10 percent would make a lot of people ask, okay, then why was I wearing a mask for so many times?”
Fauci: “You know, Kaitlan, we have got to be careful. Because if you read very carefully what I said, if you look at the broad public health effect when you have masks that are so-called mandated or supposed to be worn, because so many people don’t wear them even though they’re in an arena in which masks are supposed to be worn, well, they don’t wear them properly from a public health standpoint on the cohort of people. The effect can be only marginal. And as we mentioned, it was 10, 13 percent or so. But for the individual who religiously wears a properly fitted mask, the effect is much, much, much better than that.

Biden Release Re-Election Ad Full of Divisive Platitudes
Biden: “Freedom.”
Biden (voice-over): “Personal freedom is fundamental to who we are as Americans.”
Biden: “There’s nothing more important, nothing more sacred.”
Biden (voice-over): “That’s been the work of my first term: to fight for our democracy...”
Biden: “This shouldn’t be a red or blue issue.”
Biden (voice-over): “...to protect our rights, to make sure that everyone in this country is treated equally and that everyone is given a fair shot at making it. But, you know, around the country MAGA extremists are lining up to take on those bedrock freedoms, cutting Social Security that you paid for your entire life while cutting taxes for the very wealthy, dictating what healthcare decisions women can make, banning books, and telling people who they could love, all while making it more difficult for you to be able to vote. When I ran for president four years ago, I said we’re in a battle for the soul of America, and we still are.
The question profession is whether in the years ahead, we have more freedom or less freedom, more rights or fewer. I know what I want the answer to be, and I think you do too. This is not a time to be complacent.”
Biden: “That’s why I’m running for reelection.”
Biden (voice-over): “Because I know America. I know were good and decent people. I know we’re still a country that believes in honesty and respect and treating each other with dignity, that we’re a nation where we give hate no safe harbor. We believe that everyone is equal, that everyone should be given a fair shot to succeed in this country. Every generation of Americans have faced a moment where they have to defend democracy, stand up for our personal freedom, stand up for the right to vote, and our civil rights. And this is our moment. So, if you’re with me, go to JoeBiden.com and sign up. Let’s finish this job. I know we can. Because this is the United States of America and there is nothing, simply nothing we cannot do if we work together.”

Joe Biden Launches Re-Election With An Ugly Video and Terrible Message
Not much thought went into the video announcing that President Biden was running for re-election. Or, is it that they didn't want to think about anything important. The economy is a wreck, the border is a crisis, the wokeness is trying to invade every corner of society....while Joe Biden has you paying for the mortgages of others!
Biden's video doesn't focus on the issues, nor does it focus on his "success." Instead, it pushes the idea that Republicans want to take your freedoms. It is an ugly ad, and paints a bleak vision for the 2024 election season, and America.
Hot Air.com editor Ed Morrisey joins Tony Katz to break it down.

Ray Epps: Tucker Carlson Is Using ‘Any Means Possible to Destroy My Life’
WHITAKER: “What do you think when you see this now?”
Ray Epps: “It brings back some bad memories. It’s hard to see our Capitol under attack.”
WHITAKER (voice-over): “It’s been more than two years since the storming of the Capitol, but Ray and his wife Robin told us they relive January 6 every day of their lives.”
Robin Epps: “Some people have said, ‘Well, just let it go. Let it die down.’”
Ray Epps: “It doesn’t.”
Robin Epps: “What they don’t understand is, it doesn’t.”
Carlson: “What exactly was the role of Ray Epps in the chaos of January 6?”
WHITAKER (voice-over): “The theory Epps, a former member of the Oath Keepers, was an FBI informant who incited the crowd on January 6 bubbled up from a right-wing news site called Revolver News run by a former Trump speechwriter...”
BEATTIE: “And then you’ve got the entire fed-surrection.”
WHITAKER (voice-over): “...and landed on Fox News prime time.”
INGRAHAM: “According to a new investigation from Revolver, Epps may have led the breach team that first entered the Capitol on January 6.”
WHITAKER (voice-over): “The convoluted conspiracy theory made its way to Capitol Hill.”
GAETZ: “It’s not the Proud Boys who engaged in the initial breach. It’s Ray Epps at that precise moment.”
MASSIE: “How did Ray Epps know that there were going to be pipe bombs?”
Cruz: “Ms. Sandberg, who is Ray Epps?”
WHITAKER (voice-over): “That question has animated Fox News host Tucker Carlson for nearly two years.”
Carlson: “Ray Epps, he’s on video several times encouraging crimes, riots, breaches of the Capitol.”
WHITAKER (voice-over): “Carlson has focused on Epps more than 20 times on his top-rated show, a half dozen times so far this year.”
Ray Epps: “He’s obsessed with me. He’s going to any means possible to destroy my life and our lives.”
WHITAKER: “Why?”
Ray Epps: “To shift blame on somebody else. If you look at it, Fox News, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ted Cruz, Gaetz, they’re all telling us before this thing that it was stolen. So you tell me, who has more impact on people? Them or me?”
WHITAKER (voice-over): “Epps, once a loyal Fox News watcher, told us he doesn’t understand how he got cast as the villain. The Epps’ version is more mundane. They believed the 2020 election had been stolen from Donald Trump and considered January 6 a legitimate protest.”

Lindsey Graham Clashes with CNN’s Bash Over Trump and Pence Abortion Remarks
BASH: "Former president Donald Trump’s campaign said this week that the Supreme Court got it right when they ruled abortion was a state issue, but here’s what former vice president Mike Pence said yesterday in Iowa.
PENCE: I don’t agree with. The former president, who says this is the state’s only issue. I mean, we’ve been given a new beginning for life in this country. I think we have an opportunity. To advance the sanctity of life moving ever closer to the center of American law.
BASH: Senator, I’ve heard you say both on this issue that it is a state issue, but now you do support a federal ban. So who’s right here?
GRAHAM: Well, I’ve been supporting limit on late term abortions for since 2015. I had a bill to limit abortions at 20 weeks, with exceptions for rape, incest life of the mother 70% of Americans support limiting abortion when the when the unborn child can feel pain. 50 or 53 European nations limit abortion at 15.
BASH: My question is, is it a federal issue or state?
GRAHAM: Yeah but it’s a human rights issue. Does it really matter where you’re conceived? At 15 weeks you have a developed heart and lungs and to dismember a child at 15 weeks is a painful experience. This barbaric is out of line with the rest of the civilized world. Only North Korea and China allow abortion on demand up to the moment of birth except the Democratic Party. What the Democratic Party proposes on abortion is barbaric. Abortion up to the moment of birth taxpayer funded. I think it’s barbaric. I welcome this debate. I think the Republican Party will be in good standing to oppose late term abortion, like most of the civilized world.
BASH: Just for the record Roe went up to viability, but I just want to button this up...
GRAHAM: You know, quit covering for these guys had no no, no. You’re media. You keep coming for these guys. They introduced legislation that allowed abortion on demand with taxpayer funded. Uh were you paying for it, The taxpayer up to the moment of birth. That was their position and Washington. That’s the law. They want to pass and nobody in your business will talk about it. It’s barbaric.
BASH: Senator. Uh I’m not covering for anybody, and you know that and when I have Democrats on, and I’ve had, Democrats on the facts have asked many, all of them about their position on where where they believe this issue. Should be my question for you, sir. My question for you, sir, is about President Trump who you’ve endorsed to be president again. Is he right in saying that this issue should be a states issue?
GRAHAM: He said yesterday. I think it is speech in Iowa that he opposes late term abortion. Here’s what I believe that anybody running for president who has a snowball’s chance in hell in the 2024 primary is going to be with me, the American people and all of Europe, saying late term abortions should be off the table. 70% of people oppose late term abortions. I am confident over time that’s where our nominee will be confident that no Democrat will answer the question. Of when do you draw a line? They never get challenged. And I welcome this debate. I welcome this debate. Should we be like China and North Korea or should we be like Europe when it comes to late term abortion?
