Why China Switched to the New QBZ-191 Primary Weapon
In 2019 the Peoples Liberation Army switched to a Next Generation QBZ 191 weapon system. This is a departure from the bullpup design that they had been using for the past twenty years. The old QBZ 95 was lacking in some major ways.

British ‘Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle’ Explained
From Bosnia to Iraq the Warrior IFV has served with distinction for many decades so its no surprise the British Army is having such a hard time finding a replacement. In this video find out why this historic troop carrier is such an outstanding vehicle. It has a 30mm autocannon on top and can drive 10 miles per hour faster than the American Military's M2 Bradley. It can also fit one extra dismounted soldier. Mechanized infantry love this armored military vehicle.

The Final Iraq War Battle: Sadr City
In 2008 Sadr City, the fate of Iraq hung in the balance of this final battle. If the insurgents won it would wipe out all the gains from the US Forces Surge. This was the final major combat operations in the Iraq War. The Siege of Sadr City in 2008 was two months of fierce close quarters combat. Baghdad was under attack from constant rocket and mortar fire. Something had to be done.
The past few years of war were at stake here. Commander Hort of the 3rd Infantry Division came up with an clever plan to defeat the insurgency. He erected a 3 mile long span of 3 meter high t-walls to shut off the city. The enemy had their AK47's Rocket Propelled Grenades and Improvised Devices. The United States had their M2 Bradley Infantry fighting Vehicle and M1 Abrahams Main Battle Tank.
Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cappyarmy/
This concrete T-wall prevented the insurgents from operating with any level of freedom. This final Iraqi War battle meant that the Iraqi Prime Minister was able to keep control of the country. It resulted in a drastically lower level of violence throughout Iraq and Baghdad. The "Green Zone" was safe from rocket attacks following this battle.

The new computer ballistic scope will replace the ACOG and CCO entirely. It calculates where to display the reticle after you press the button. This works for machine guns, rifles, sniper rifles. L3 Harris created the 1-6x magnification optic. It includes Target Reference Point features as well as the ability to laser range find. Its like having a range card in front of you so you can re find old targets.

How China's QBZ 95 bullpup fits their tactics
Follow me on Instagram for live updates: https://www.instagram.com/cappyarmy
The QBZ 95 is part of military history. It's the smallest and most lightweight Bullpup out there. The QBZ 95 has distinct curved magazine and top carrying handle. This was a point of pride for the Peoples Liberation Army when they first showed it off in Hong Kong in 1997.
The PLA has been using this as their primary weapon every since. But is it all it's cracked up to be? Why are they moving away from this bullpup in favor of a traditional firearm? Lets find out in this episode of Task & Purpose.

When Poland joined NATO they weren't ready to say good bye to their PKM. Instead of switching to the M240 they made their own version of the PKM that could fire the NATO 7.62 x 51mm belt fed ammo. That sounds easy but it actually took a ton of engineering and re tooling.

Humvee Retrospective: Honest Review
The most iconic military vehicle that all light infantry and suburban dads recognize. It was originally meant as a behind the front lines transportation vehicle but the wars in middle east brought it out to the front lines of asymmetrical combat. We quickly realized it wasn't armored for the job and began upgrading its protection and engine to carry the added weight.
Technology was taking off and engineers designed remote controlled weapon systems to keep the crew safe inside. One V shaped hull later and the Humvee was starting to become usable right before the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle finally replaced it.

The German Army's Puma is known as the best Infantry Fighting Vehicle in the world while at the same time being plagued with development problems. Its an armored personnel carrier armed with a 30mm autocannon unmanned turret.
The troop transport is a relic from the Cold War era and the war in Afghanistan. The German Military is working hard to get it ready by 2029 and hopes to export it to as many NATO countries as possible. It failed its combat test in 2020 so what's really gone on here? Can it be fixed? Find out in this video.

Experimental US Army machine gun test

We found that in Afghanistan the enemy liked to entrench in buildings and fire harassing shots. They liked to find elevated fighting positions that were out of US Forces firing range. This weapon would address any capability gap within the US Forces. It can chew through a building’s walls thanks to its higher kinetic energy.
The MG338 is one step down from the 50 caliber machine gun while being the same weight and length as the M240. Around 27 lbs and 47 inches with a 24 inch barrel. If you’re on a patrol in some open mountain terrain your maximum effective range is 800 meters with the M240 and the accuracy starts to drift at that range. You don’t want to have the same range as the enemy you want twice the range. The MG338 has been proven to engage targets at 2,000 meters. But is this machine gun necessary and what new features would it give the next generation of infantry?
It’s a real life BFG from doom. The gun that lays waste to every enemy in your path. The MG338 is a big fucking gun and I could feel the power of the round while going full auto on it. The engineers at SIG gave the machine gun a recoil mitigation system so the free floating barrel moves backwards with each shot. The consequence is a smoother ride, lower rate of fire, higher accuracy especially at long range. Reloading belt feds was once a chore but thanks to quality of life improvements it’s much easier with the next generation of machine guns. The feed tray breaks away in the smallest way possible which makes reloading from the prone a snap.
Its fascinating when real life future weapons technology appears in culture. We see it in the form of video games and movies. Call of Duty included the MG338 briefly then removed it. The video game version is a lot like its real life counterpart with a high damage profile and low rate of fire. The only difference is in the game our operator has no problem shoulder and hip firing from the standing position. I can confirm that would be impossible in real life. If you were one of the soldiers who was able to fire the M240 standing I would love to see you try that with the MG338. Shooting from the prone dust was kicked up everywhere and the rounds slamming into the berm 50 meters away were like mini explosions.
The hybrid steel brass ammo allows this machine gun to fire at higher velocities and with greater kinetic energy. You’re looking at around 6,300 Joules of muzzle energy which is twice the legacy weapons.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to test fire the SIG Sauer prototype machine gun at SIG Sauer's headquarters in New Hampshire. It shoots a new type of unique ammunition unlike anything anyone has seen before.
When I got behind the trigger and fired the new hybrid ammo I could tell what a game changer the MG68 would be for the world of belt fed machine guns. This machine gun will close the capability gap that soldiers witnessed during long range mountain combat in Afghanistan.

Evolution of Drone Warfare on the modern battlefield FT. @Justin Taylor
From balloons over ancient cities in 1850 to the USAF MQ-9 Reaper UAV: humans have always been fascinated with autonomous war machines. The US is developing a five kilowatt laser Mobile High Energy Laser gun which can shoot down UAVs from miles away. It also has electronic warfare equipment that can jam a UAVs signal and crash it. They took out dozens of drones in their tests.

The first examples of what could be considered modern use of drone technology occurred all the way back in the 1950s. In the 60s there was a large gap between the capabilities of spy planes, satellites, and low echelon ground reconnaissance. The answer to this dilemma was the Ryan 147b drone. The pentagon expressed a need for Unmanned aerial vehicles after a series of fatalities involving U.S spy planes, and wanted a way to collect ground data without risking the lives of U2 pilots, which were hard to train, and incredibly expensive to replace. It was the first unmanned aerial vehicle capable of flying over a disputed or dangerous area, gathering information with it’s built in cameras, and safely making its way back to friendly territory to be collected. While collecting information, it could also serve as a decoy against enemy AA, drop munitions on fixed targets, or drop leaflets on enemies for psychological warfare

Why the US Military No Longer Owns the Night
Browse the internet securely for only $2.08 for 3 years - https://bit.ly/3fqrVXB
Do we still own the night? Our near peers now have night vision goggles and the US Military is now forced to share the night. There is a problem with using Infrared laser beams and strobes during night time operations on a modern battlefield. Today's combat zones require ground forces to use a new Enhanced Night Vision Goggles system. The old PVS-14 NVG's and nods gave away their position every time they turn their PEQ15 on. Using the new ENVG-B's troops might still be able to reclaim the night and own it once more.

When the US army recently issued the first Enhanced thermal Night Vision Goggles we found out they give off a wireless signal sent to your weapons point of view superimposed onto your goggles point of view. It looks like they basically added some snapchat filters to night vision devices. This is a revolutionary new way to fight. In this video we cover the military news of strategy tactics and warfare at night. Only time will tell how useful it will be on the ground.

Rise and fall of the MP5 submachine gun
Check out the GunMag Warehouse YouTube channel- https://bit.ly/2SW4o8K
The H&K Mp5 9mm submachine gun is one of the most requested weapons we get on here. I want to know how this became one of the world's most famous submachine guns? To me, this gun is a rise and fall story like ‘scarface’ or ‘wolf of wallstreet’.
For instance, in the 80’s it was still at the height of its popularity with you know, every special forces unit and SWAT team using it but by the late 90’s the mp5 had hit rock bottom with those same units moving away from using it. So you’re probably wondering what happened, how did it all go wrong? - We’ll answer all of that but first - Que the MP5 80’s montage!

Why the Aussies chose the Steyr AUG Bullpup
Did they tip the scales in favor of the Steyr AUG instead of the M16A2 because Colt wouldn't get Australia the license to manufacture? Was the test biased? The fact that none of the Australia Special Forces community use the Steyr makes me suspicious. I'm always cynical about tests but maybe its telling the truth lets look at the data in this video!
In this video we investigate the pros and cons of this weapon. It was the first Bullpup rifle to ever be adopted into main stream service as a major country's primary rifle. It was revolutionary for its time with a modular barrel system unlike pretty much anything seen prior in firearms.

US Army M4 replacement Military NGSW Program Explained
The Next Generation Squad Weapon program is a US military program that will replace the M4 and 556mm. The 6.8 x 51mm promises to bring higher fire power and new features to every rank and file US Military grunt out there. Variable 1 to 6 x options will give soldiers the ability to hit targets out to 800 meters with higher energy on target. I look forward to testing the other guns in this weapons program and bringing you any insights I have.
