Supreme Court Homeless Case Arguments: Johnson vs. Grants Pass (Pre-Recorded)
Face to Face: Dion and Shawn break down the arguments in front of the SCOTUS in the case of Johnson vs. Grants Pass, the lawsuit involving the criminalization of homeless by assigning fines.
Although the city of Grant's Pass calls it a ban on "camping", many have spoken out against it, and are eagerly watching the outcome of this case.
This case could have far-reaching consequences for cities looking to combat the (record-breaking) homeless problem, as well as those unfortunate enough to find themselves at the mercy of these fines.

Meet Spencer England: Candidate(R) for Indiana State Senator (District 8)
Join #DDD on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 7 PM Central Time to meet Spencer England, Candidate for Indiana State Senate, District 8.
Spencer England is a well-known figure in La Porte County. He has previously run for Mayor of the city of LaPorte, Indiana, and has been a very vocal opponent of the far left and their radical policies. He's a veteran, having served in the US Army from 2000 to 2018, and campaigns on America First MAGA policies.
We'll sit down with Spencer and find out what makes him tick. We'll go beyond the sensational stories and sound bites and present the opportunity to get to know the man behind the campaign.
We ask all of our candidates to send us a bio, and here is what we were sent:
"I'm an America First MAGA Republican running for Indiana Senate District 8 which includes LaPorte, Starke, Marshall, and a small part of St Joseph County. I'm married to a wonderful gal (Erica). We have five girls. We are practicing Christians focusing on First Century Worship. We homeschool our two little girls, and our high schooler attends public school. children I'm a big advocate of school choice. I believe parents should have the right to care for their children, not the State. I'm pro-life and believe it exists only if the life of the Mother is in danger. I believe the line of responsibility begins before conception, and decisions have consequences."

La Porte County Haunted? Meet Ghost Cast: The Haunt - Local Ghost Hunters
Is La Porte County Haunted?
Let's find out!
Shifting away from politics and into interesting, we're joined by a local paranormal investigation team.
Rob and Chey comprise Ghost Cast: The Haunt and they're joining us tonight for a look into what they do.
Dion has had his own paranormal experiences, and has briefly covered them during his videos in the past, but here we have a dedicated team that looks into local hot spots and rumors of activity. A few of our team members have seen programs before such as the ones Rob mentions below, but there aren't many professionals in the area that we're aware of, so we were very excited to learn about this pair and their passion for a subject that we feel just doesn't get enough attention.
We hope that you're as excited as we are to dive in to this interview and, as always, send any questions to Talk@DionBergeron.com
*From Ghost Cast: The Haunt Team:
I'm Rob and I am 37 years old. I am a father to an amazing 15 year old daughter and boyfriend to an amazing girl, Chey.. Also she is a crucial part of the Ghost Cast team in succeeding to finding truth of the paranormal.
I have always had a interest in the paranormal. Watching everything from the Syfy show "Ghost Hunters", Ghost Adventures and various youtube channels. Also having an interest in the weird and unknown such as cryptids.
Finally at this point in my life I am able to start investigating and searching for the truth myself. I hope whatever we may find on our adventures we can share with you.
Hi, can I interest you in a witty yet ridiculous comment? I’m Cheyenne, also known as Chey, and I was raised my entire life in Northwest Indiana and I’m a self published author with the help of Amazon books. I design my own tattoos and my own artworks on canvas and paper. I’m a lover of all things horror, spooky, and paranormal- with the Scream and Child’s Play franchises being my absolute favorites and a lover of the Friends TV Show.. Ghost Hunting and exploring abandoned buildings is one of my favorite hobbies especially when I get to research the history about the location and any spiritual possibilities.*

Meet: Micah Beckwith Future Lt Governor of Indiana?
Join #DDD on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024 to meet Micah Beckwith, Candidate(R) for Lieutenant Governor of the state of Indiana.
Micah Beckwith is breaking with convention, independently running for an office that has traditionally been a "gimme", as the tradition for a long time has been for the Primary winning Governor candidate to choose a running mate, and the convention just votes them in. No one campaigns for Lt. Governor.
Micah Beckwith does. He has organized a full independent grass roots campaign for the second in command of the state of Indiana. Why?
We'll ask him this, along with other questions, including any you send to Talk@DionBergeron.com as we get to know this unconventional candidate.
We ask all of our guests to send us a bio. Here's what we were sent:
"Micah has been serving the Hamilton County and Central Indiana areas for more than 17 years. Micah has pastored multiple churches in Central Indiana including White River Christian Church in Noblesville, Northview Church which has multiple locations throughout Central Indiana, and currently pastoring at Life Church in Noblesville.
He has also been a small business owner since 2005, owning several companies, including a promotional production company and entertainment group.
Micah ran for Congress in 2020 and is not serving as the director of the Indiana Family Institute's Hoosier Leadership Series, an organization dedicated to raising up conservative leaders within local, state and federal government. Micah currently teaches a high school constitutional literacy class at Wisdom Builders Christian School in Carmel, Indiana. With his deep understanding of American history and his boldness, Micah has quickly become one of Indiana's most prominent conservative voices. Along with being a frequent guest on Indy's largest talk radio station, WIBC, he currently works with Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA, inspiring pastors around the country to reengage the political arena with the Gospel.
He attended Huntington University, graduating with Economics and Finance majors, and a minor in Small Business Entrepreneurship.
With a deep understanding of American History, Micah is answering the call to defend true constitutional values ensuring that our children and grandchildren will continue to have a home where freedom and liberty reign.
Micah resides in Noblesville with his wife, Susan, two kids, Brody and Savannah."

Meet: Juanita Haney: Candidate(r) for La Porte County Treasurer
Join us April 16th, 2024 at 7PM Central to meet Juanita Haney, who is running for La Porte County Treasurer in the 2024 Republican Primary.
This will be Juanita's first foray into politics, though she IS somewhat familiar with the swamp here in La Porte County. Her husband, current Commissioner Joe Haney, has frequently been the target of those who want "business as usual" (aka corruption) to continue without the scrutiny that Commissioner Haney brings.
We know her husband is pretty awesome, but what about Juanita herself?
We'll be sitting down with her to have a real conversation about her, her background, and why she's running for this office.
We ask all of our guests to provide us with a bio, and this is what we were sent:
"Juanita Haney is not your typical candidate—she's a dynamic wife of 22 years and a dedicated mother of three daughters, ages 26, 19, and 17. Hailing from a vibrant upbringing on a sugar farm in south Florida, Juanita's journey led her to Indiana after college, where she immersed herself in the fast-paced world of the University of Chicago's transplant team and various hospitals in Northwest Indiana. After years of impactful work, Juanita decided to embrace a new challenge: homeschooling her daughters full time.
Beyond her professional and family life, Juanita is a fierce advocate for animal rights and a lifelong learner. Her interests span from reading to crafting 3D paper art, collecting dolls, and even marksmanship. Juanita's zest for life is evident in her eagerness to travel, try new things, and tackle challenges head-on. As a candidate for LaPorte County Treasurer, Juanita brings a unique blend of experience, passion, and a love for adventure to the table."
(End Bio)
If you have any questions you'd like us to ask Juanita Haney, tune in live or email Talk@DionBergeron.com and we will do our best to make sure we get to them.

Meet Commissioner Joe Haney, District 3 La Porte County Indiana
Join us at 7PM on April 9th for an in-depth discussion with Commissioner Joe Haney. Commissioner Haney is in his 4th year of his first term, and is up for re-election this year. He has accomplished a LOT during this, and we'll get a chance to learn all about that, along with his plans for his next term, once re-elected.
Joe has been at the forefront of several "controversies", butting heads with his fellow commissioners and others.
A troublemaker to some, a freedom-loving patriot to others, Commissioner Haney is no stranger to critiques.
Often described as a "problem child" or "wave maker" by those that prefer a quiet, if a bit corrupt, government, Joe Haney has never been one to allow malfeasance or outright criminal behavior to fester under his watch. He calls out the issues he sees and works towards their resolution.
We ask all of our guests to send us a bio, and this is what we were sent:
"Commissioner Joe Haney was sworn in to his first elected office as La Porte County Commissioner in 2021. He currently serves as the District 3 Commissioner. Joe also serves on County boards such as the Parks Board and others.
Joe is active in his community and has spent his adult life volunteering his time and talents, from serving as a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT to volunteering at homeless shelters, animal rescue groups, and more. 2020 was Joe’s first run for an elected office and this is his first time serving as an elected official, he has spent the rest of his adult life in the private sector.
Joe is a former clinician having worked in the surgical suites on a level one trauma team, transplant team, and as an operations manager for a total of nearly 20 years on the definitive side of health care. Joe currently resides on a small farm near Door Village with his wife of 22 years and their three daughters, where he runs a small business."
(End Bio)
As always, if you have questions that you'd like answered during our interview with Commissioner Haney, please email them to Talk@DionBergeron.com
If you, or someone you know, is a community leader, small business owner, or running for office and would like to appear on the show, please email Talk@DionBergeron.com and our scheduling team will reach out to you.

The President of Guyana was interviewed and the interviewer tried to shame him regarding the oil in his country and climate change. Guyana President is incredibly based, and was having NONE of it. We'll show you the interview.
Someone compiled the complete list of the individuals accusing old Uncle Joe of inappropriate touching. It's quite a list...
Brazil and X (formerly Twitter) are engaged in a bitter battle over free speech and government overreach and censorship. It isn't getting much coverage in the news. What's happening?
Saudi Arabia is planning on building a massive city in the desert. Their plans have changed a bit, though. Let's check in on that.

We ask all of our guests to send us a bio. This is what we received.
"Diversity of Experience, Leadership & Dedication to Public Service
Becoming a judge has been a goal of mine since I entered Valparaiso School of Law in the fall of 1993. For the past 27 years, I have practiced law in LaPorte County with the Law Firm of Braje, Nelson & Janes LLP. For the entirety of my practice, I have been engaged in criminal and civil litigation. Furthermore, since 2001, I have been assigned as a Felony Public Defender in LaPorte Circuit Court appearing virtually every Friday morning since that time handling and trying major felony cases. During this time, I have gained an extensive knowledge not only of conducting trials but also the workings of Circuit Court. Also, I have practiced civil litigation in Courts throughout Northwest Indiana as well as criminal trial work in the Federal Courts of the Northern District of Indiana and the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. I have also argued before and participated in litigation and appeals before the Indiana Supreme Court. It is this diversity of experience that I hope to bring to the bench as LaPorte Circuit Court Judge.
My upbringing shaped me with a strong desire to give something back to the community. For the past 26 years, it has been my privilege to serve as a volunteer firefighter and first responder with the Long Beach Volunteer Fire Department. Since January of 2023, I have served the department as Fire Chief. I am a past board member and Board President of the Boys and Girls Club of Michigan City and a past Volunteer Judge for the Teen Court Program. Believing in assisting those who have served our Country, I have served as a team member of the LaPorte County Veteran’s Treatment Court since its inception."
(End of Bio)

Meet Rhonda Graves - Future La Porte County Auditor?
Tune in to #DDD at 7PM on Tuesday, April 2nd to meet Rhonda Graves, who is running in the Republican Primary for La Porte County Auditor.
As the current Chief Deputy Auditor, Rhonda Graves has experience in the office and knows the job. Luckily, she has agreed to come to the studio in order for us to get to know the woman behind the name and title.
Although considerably less publicly known than our current auditor, she is no less dedicated, and we'll get a chance to talk to her about her job, her extracurricular activities in the community (of which there are many) and how she has the energy for all this.
We ask all of our guests to send us a bio, and we post them without edit. The bio we were sent is included below.
"Rhonda Graves has been the Chief Deputy Auditor of La Porte County for just over a year. She brought with her the knowledge she gained while serving as Chief Deputy Treasurer of Starke County and prior years of service in early voting for La Porte County. With this knowledge she was able to hit the ground running upon arrival to the Auditor’s Office.
“I am running because I see the need to increase accountability for the funds we control, transparency of the funds that we spend, and the understanding of allowable government spending, all while maintaining an office that works efficiently, lawfully, and stays up-to-date on best practices. After all, it’s your tax dollars at stake.”
Rhonda grew up in southeastern KY as a coal miners daughter. Her father was killed in the coal mines when Rhonda was 7, and she along with her mom and sisters moved to La Porte for a change of scenery. That was 1983.
Today, the Graves family consists of Rhonda, her husband Mike, two children, Emily and Ty, and their dog Lou. Both children graduate this year- one from high school and one from college.
Rhonda enjoys giving back to the community in various ways - Girl Scouts, Cookies for Soldiers, Gleaner Arbor, etc."

Meet Timothy (Tim) Stabosz: Future La Porte County Commissioner?
*Audio feedback loop in the first minute or so, I eliminated it as soon as I realized it* Apologies. I'll try to pay more attention in the future.
Join us Tuesday March 26th at 7 PM Central to meet Timothy Stabosz, candidate (R) for La Porte County Commissioner, ask any questions you may have, and get to know the person behind the headlines.
Tim has been an outspoken critic of certain La Porte County personalities and policies. For some, he's a controversial figure that makes the job harder than it has to be, speaking out when there are those that wish he'd be silent. He's been on the front page more than once, with calls for his resignation, lawsuits, and more. For others, he's a lone voice of reason in a sea of "seedy underbelly" politics, calling out corruption and insisting on accountability and transparency by demanding itemized bills so that the public knows exactly how our tax dollars are being spent.
Is he doing what's right for We The People, or is it just a power trip?
Bruce Wayne or Harvey Dent?
Is he more Batman or Two-Face?
Tune in and find out!
We ask all of our guests to send us a bio, and here is what we were sent:
"Timothy (Tim) Stabosz is running in the May 2024 Primary Election for La Porte County Commissioner, District 2, currently held by Richard Mrzoniski. Tim feels compelled to run to fight the corruption and abuse of power that currently occurs in county government, from no-bid contracts, intimidation, abuse of power, and the list goes on. Tim wants to bring back openness, honesty, and integrity to the county and the position of County Commissioner. Tim is a fighter for the residents of La Porte County and cannot be bought or intimidated by those seeking to run the show behind the curtain. His campaign slogan is simple and reflects this: Vote for Tim because you deserve better.
A 1990 graduate of DePaul University, Tim earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and spent two years as a federal credit union auditor. He has spent the last 30+ years in the financial industry and has earned significant experience and success as an investor and entrepreneur. Tim served two terms as a LaPorte City Councilman (Tim was on the Financial Committee for both terms), and in 2020, he was elected to the office of County Auditor, aka the Chief Financial Officer of LaPorte County. He is also a member of the Parents Television & Media Council, a nonprofit and nonpartisan research and education organization advocating for responsible entertainment and the protection of children and families from graphic sex, violence, and profanity in the media, and was the Chairman of the Board until December 2023 ( www.parentstv.org ).
Originally from Chicago, Tim moved to LaPorte after falling in love with his “adopted hometown”. A historical home aficionado, Tim is the proud owner of a home designed by the architect Franklin Burnham, whose most prominent commission is the Georgia State Capitol. Tim also spends his free time restoring pinball machines, driving his classic car, and participating in vocal performances."
