🌊 On October 4, 2023, devastating floods occurred in the state of Sikkim, INDIA. Heavy rains in the Himalayan Mountains and Glacial Lake region caused a dam to erode, destroying the largest hydropower facility in the country. As a result, the Tista River flooded the surrounding area, destroying 15 bridges and roads, cutting off locals and tourists. More than 50 people have died and more than a hundred are missing.
🌀 On October 2 and 3, widespread flooding also occurred in DOMINICA and GUADELOUPE due to Tropical Storm Philippe. More than 2,000 people were affected.

⚠️ On October 2 in ITALY a strong earthquake with magnitude 4 has been registered in the region of Flegrean Fields, which was felt by residents of Naples. More than 1,100 earthquakes have occurred in the region in the past month. The Italian government is considering measures for mass evacuation of Campi Flegrei residents.
🔴 On October 2 and 3, there were powerful earthquakes in INDIA and MID ASIA in the Pamir-Himalayan region, including NEPAL, where a magnitude 6.2 earthquake caused destruction and injuries.
🟠 On October 3, there was a magnitude 6.3 earthquake in the Pacific Ocean south of JAPAN. The next day, a magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck near the coast of Mindanao, PHILIPPINES.

On October 7, MEXICO had a magnitude 6.3 (other reports say 5.9) earthquake in the southern state of Oaxaca.
🆘 On October 7, a powerful series of earthquakes occurred in northwestern AFGHANISTAN with the strongest tremor at magnitude 6.3. This led to the destruction of a large part of the city of Herat, more than 2,500 dead and nearly 50,000 residents trapped under the rubble.
Events in recent days indicate an unusually high activity of earthquakes of magnitude 6 or more, which was previously a rarity. A warning about this trend was given at the end of 2022 in the online forum "Global Crisis. Our Survival is in Unity".

🌊 LIBYA: Another North African country fell victim to a climatic cerberus. Tropical Cyclone Danielle became Africa's deadliest storm on record. By September 15, the death toll exceeded 11,000. 🔹 In early September, some regions of Panama and Paraguay were flooded.
🔹 In Brazil, the flooding was among the deadliest disasters in the country. There were more than 40 casualties in the southern states of Rio Grande do Sul and Sainte Catarina.

The tremors in the area of the supervolcano are getting stronger: the earthquake that occurred on September 27 with a magnitude of 4.2 was the largest in the last 40 years and was part of a swarm that began the day before. It's not just the country's residents who are in danger, but the whole of Europe, the whole world.

☀️ URUGUAY: For several months now, the capital of Uruguay has been experiencing its worst drought in at least 70 years. MONTEVIDEO and its surrounding areas, where more than half of the country's population resides, are gradually running out of drinking water. As a result, a state of emergency was declared in the regions on June 19. As of the end of June 2023, the Paso Severino reservoir, the main source of freshwater, reached a historic low and holds less than 3% of its normal capacity.
Unlike some other Latin American countries, Uruguayans used to safely drink tap water. However, now, tap water is no longer considered suitable for drinking: it tastes salty and can cause stomach disorders. 🌪️ MIDWESTERN UNITED STATES: At least two people lost their lives in a severe tornado in central Oklahoma, USA. The most affected communities were Shawnee and Cole. Several homes and other structures were damaged or destroyed, and farms were especially hard hit, with many destroyed. The storm was part of a larger outbreak of severe weather that caused at least 15 tornadoes in Oklahoma, Iowa and Kansas.

🌪️ MYANMAR: In 40 minutes, a deadly tornado in the central part of Myanmar managed to take the lives of 8 people and destroy more than 230 houses and two Buddhist monasteries. The storm raged in the evening of April 21 in two villages near the capital of the country.
More than 120 people were wounded. Almost all the houses in the villages were quite badly damaged, power lines were broken, trees were uprooted and many roads were blocked.
People may still be under the rubble.

🌀 OMAN: For two days in a row, residents of the Sultanate of Oman witnessed the formation of powerful tornadoes accompanied by huge thunderstorm clouds. Tornadoes swept through the southern part of Al Sharqiya province, leaving behind destroyed buildings and fallen poles.

🌪️ UNITED STATES: A series of devastating storms and at least 12 tornadoes swept across rural MISSISSIPPI STATE, affecting Alabama as well.
One of the tornadoes was the deadliest in Mississippi in half a century. It took the lives of at least 25 people and dozens more were injured.
The small town of Rolling Fork in the western part of the state almost ceased to exist.
🆘 The Mississippi state government has declared a state of emergency and the search for survivors continues.

🌊 NORTH BRAZIL: Thousands of people were displaced from their homes after floods and landslides in northeastern states. There are reports of deaths and injuries. A state of emergency was declared in several municipalities of the states of Ceara, Maranhao and Para.

💦 ECUADOR: The coastal city of GUAYAQUIL experienced severe flooding due to heavy rainfall that coincided with a high tide.

At the end of July 2023, a heat wave in the Mediterranean led to severe forest fires. The fire affected Greece, France, Turkey, Croatia, Portugal, Italy, Algeria and other countries.

But after the fire came close to the area of hotels, according to eyewitnesses, people were engulfed in a terrible panic. Spontaneous evacuations began. The roads were jammed, there were not enough buses, and people not only drove but also walked with suitcases right along the road. In total, about 30,000 people left their homes and hotels.
The fire severely affected the entire southern part of Rhodes. Many settlements and thousands of hectares of land were burned, many animals, including rare ones, died.
