A huge landslide in the Savoie department. However, prolonged periods of drought can cause as much damage as the most severe natural disasters, causing crop failures, famine, and a water crisis. MAY – JULY 2023 ☀️ URUGUAY: For several months now, the capital of Uruguay has been experiencing its worst drought in at least 70 years. MONTEVIDEO and its surrounding areas, where more than half of the country's population resides, are gradually running out of drinking water.
