UX industry will be OVER by 2025 - What comes next?

Just because the ux industry is coming to an end doesn’t mean that designers will be useless or that products will lack good ux. It will just CHANGE.

And what comes next? The shift I'm talking about here is something I've been mentioning since at least 2019. It's not because of AI but rather something more prosaic - business driven products, then engineering driven and design being pushed out as less and less important.

UX design is not growing for a while now and the industry is shrinking.

But I am lucky to have a community of awesome designers around me who learn the right way and are getting jobs and promotions even in this economy.

However from 2025 the designer skills that are in Demand won't be moving some rectangles in a nice way in Figma or some other tool that takes over the UX/UI tool space.
