Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2023/05/shady-moose-toro-6-x-52.html
(Description provided by Forged Cigar Company)
Chillin’ Moose and its beefy sidekick Bull Moose will soon welcome a Connecticut “cousin” called Shady Moose, a new line of cigars made with an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper, a first for the Chillin’ Moose franchise.
Shipping to retailers on March 1, Shady Moose will launch as a full-time line with three new sizes, including the first Toro for the growing Chillin’ Moose trio.
Handcrafted in Honduras at the HATSA factory, Shady Moose is a six-country blend wrapped in Ecuadorian Connecticut, with a Mexican binder and a selection of long filler tobacco from the US, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
The mellow-to-medium-bodied blend is stout-hearted, with slightly spicy white pepper notes balanced by hints of earth, wood and cream.
“With Shady Moose, we built a great, anytime, anywhere blend that takes the smooth-smoking properties of a Connecticut Shade cigar and amps it up with the right amount of complexity and spice. And we didn’t stop there. We added in the cool Moose imagery and locked in an unbelievable price point. Now we’re waiting for Shady Moose to take a run at the internet, just like Bull Moose did last year. We’re ready for it. The question is…are you?” said John Hakim, brand manager of Chillin’ Moose.
Shady Moose cigars will be distributed by Forged Cigar Company.
The cigars will be packed in boxes containing 20 cigars.
Shady Moose Robusto (5.5” x 50); SRP per cigar $4.79
Shady Moose Toro (6” x 52); SRP per cigar $4.99 REVIEWED TODAY
Shady Moose Gigante (6” x 60); SRP per cigar $5.49

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2023/05/dissident-home-2023-6-x-52-box-pressed.html
(Description provided by Dissident Cigars)
DISSIDENT Cigars announces the return of HOME, a yearly Limited Edition Cigar that was put on a temporary hold when the Coburn’s acquired DISSIDENT Cigars in December of 2021.
The DISSIDENT HOME 2023 marks the 4th release of the HOME since 2019. Keeping with tradition, the HOME 2023 consists of an Ecuadorian Maduro & Corojo barber-pole wrapper, Ecuadorian binder, and all-Nicaraguan fillers. Like years preceding, the HOME 2023 will be available in a 6x52 box-pressed Toro.
MSRP: $14.00
Owner/blender Cynn Coburn says “With thanks to the previous brand owner, the HOME has always been a highly anticipated release for DISSIDENT fans since 2019, and I’m excited to bring this beloved cigar back after a year hiatus! It’s a tradition that needs to continue. We made minor changes to the box artwork and big changes to the label artwork that we are truly stoked about! If you feel like you don’t belong, it means you belong with us. Welcome HOME!”

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2023/04/tatuaje-lomo-de-cerdo-5-18-x-52-robusto.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
Lomo de Cerdo, one of Tatuaje’s most talked about new cigars from the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show is set to begin shipping to stores on Monday.
The cigar gives a new spin to one of Tatuaje’s most sought-after limited editions, as it based on the Pork Tenderloin, which came out in 2010, but this new cigars uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper instead of the Connecticut broadleaf wrapper found on the original cigar. As such, the Lomo de Cerdo—which is Spanish for pork loin—wears a band that says Tuxtla as a nod to the city where the vast majority of Mexican San Andrés tobacco is grown. It is a band that has been used on the three other cigars in Tatuaje’s Tuxtla Series, which debuted in June 2022 and includes the Avion ’13 Tuxtla, Tatuaje 7th Tuxtla and Tatuaje T110 Tuxtla.
Like the original Pork Tenderloin, the Lomo de Cerdo uses Nicaraguan tobacco for the binders and fillers. Also like the Pork Tenderloin, the Lomo de Cerdo is notable for its packaging, as the cigars come in 25-count bundles wrapped in butcher paper designed to look like what would be handed across the counter at the butcher shop.
The Tatuaje Lomo de Cerdo, a 5 1/8 x 52 robusto, is priced at $12 per cigar and $300 for a bundle of 25 cigars. They are produced by My Father Cigars S.A. at its factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Pete Johnson said that production ended up being just north of 8,000 bundles of cigars, as when the cigar was announced, production wasn’t known as it would be determined by how many cigars were ordered.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2023/04/rojas-breakfast-tacos-mexican-san.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
At the Total Product Expo (TPE) in February, the company debuted an extension to its popular Street Tacos line called Breakfast Tacos. It’s a trio of cigars that come in a 4 1/2 x 46 petit salomone vitola, a size that Noel Rojas told halfwheel gives the company the 30-minute cigar that was missing from its portfolio.
Breakfast Tacos will be offered in three wrapper options, an Ecuadorian Sumatra, a Mexican San Andrés, and an Ecuadorian Connecticut, each with a Nicaraguan binder and filler. Rojas said that it is a different blend than the existing Street Tacos options, and all of the tobacco for the project is grown and fermented by Rojas Cigars. The cigars are made at Rojas’ factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
The Breakfast Tacos line will use the same basic artwork design as the Street Tacos line, but will change the words and colors on the band. Each size will be offered in bundles of 30 cigars, with display trays available to retailers. Regardless of the blend, each Breakfast Taco cigar will have an MSRP of $6.
Today we look at the Mexican San Andrés.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2023/04/warped-cigars-seleccion-domain-4546-4.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
The second release of Warped Cigars’ Selección Domain series is off to stores.
It’s the Selección Domain 4546, a 4 1/2 x 48 Rothschild that uses a Dominican corojo wrapper over a Dominican Cotuí binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, though Warped says the majority of fillers are from the Dominican Republic. It is made at TABACALERA LA iSLA in the Dominican Republic.
The MSRP is set at $9 per cigar and it is sold in boxes of 25 cigars.
“I wanted to craft a blend from each factory that highlighted the factories’ backgrounds and strengths and its evident in each blend as they are vastly different from one another,” said Kyle Gellis, Warped’s founder, in an email to halfwheel.
He cited El Titan de Bronze as having Cuban heritage, AGANORSA’s Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A. in Nicaragua as “showcasing the raw power of Nicaraguan tobacco,” and LA iSLA as having a “youthful spirit (willing) to take chances.” The first Selección Domain was released in Q1 2022 to DROP, Warped’s cigar club that sells exclusive releases. The AGANORSA blend has not been released yet, and Gellis declined to comment about whether it would be sold via DROP or to retail stores.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2023/04/west-tampa-tobacco-company-red-toro-6-x.html
(Description provided by West Tampa Tobacco Company)
One of the hottest brands in the industry just got hotter! Introducing, West Tampa Tobacco Company Red!
Like its predecessors, White & Black, Red delivers a flavor bomb with enhanced body that is a perfect addition to the West Tampa line-up. From mild to full bodied, creamy to spicey, West Tampa now offers something for everyone.
Rick Rodriguez, master blender and co-owner, is especially excited about this release. “West Tampa Red gave me the opportunity to sit down with the factory and really focus on creating a blend that I enjoy.” “Normally when I blend cigars, I don’t blend for what I like, I blend cigars for what my fans enjoy. Red will be a reflection of what I believe is the next piece to lay in the West Tampa puzzle, a full-bodied cigar that delivers the full flavor consumers have come to enjoy from West Tampa.”
Rick chose to work once again with the Mexican San Andreas wrapper that he used for his inaugural Attic Series release. The wrapper is where the similarities end. Changes he has made in the all-Nicaraguan binder and filler will deliver an unforgettable smoke.
West Tampa Tobacco Company Red will be available in three sizes, 20 cigars/box and will be line priced with Black & White:
Robusto (5X50)- $8.99 SRP(USD)
Toro (6X52)- $9.99 SRP(USD) REVIEWED TODAY
Gigante (6X60)- $10.99 SRP(USD
Shipments to retailers will begin in May.

United Cigars Firecracker

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2023/04/united-cigars-firecracker-3-12-x-50.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
United Cigars has updated the look of its regular production Firecracker and begun shipping it to retailers.
The regular production Firecracker is a 3 1/2 x 50 short robusto that uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, Dominican piloto mejorado binder, and a mix of Dominican seco and ligero along with Nicaraguan ligero in the filler. It has an MSRP of $5.99 per cigar and is offered in 25-count boxes, with production handled by the Magia Cubana factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
The concept debuted in 2006 as a Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label shop exclusive for Two Guys Smoke Shop in New Hampshire. It became known for its strength and small format, as well as a long, wick-style cap that is designed to evoke the image of a firecracker. Other well-known manufacturers have also produced their own limited-edition versions of Firecrackers—sharing the unique size and wick-style cap—including Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, Fratello, HVC, Kristoff La Flor Dominicana, Perdomo and RoMa Craft Tobac; the next release is from Foundation Cigar Co. and slated to arrive this summer.
While the cigar—both the regular version and the limited editions—were originally made for Two Guys Smoke Shop, it has since moved into the portfolio of United Cigars; David Garofalo owns both the retailer and the distributor.

(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
The third Lampert 1675 Edición blend has shipped to 10 stores ahead of a nationwide launch in mid-April.
The Lampert 1675 Edición Morado uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and four-year-old fillers grown by the Ortez family in Condega and Jalapa. Like the Edición Azul and Edición Rojo, the Morado is made at the Ortez family’s AgroIndustrial Nicaraguense de Tabacos S.A. factory in Condega, Nicaragua. Morado is Spanish for purple.
It is offered in the same three sizes as the other two Lampert 1675 Edición blends, though the Short Robusto size won’t begin shipping until later in the year.
Lampert describes the Morado as “full-bodied, full flavor.”
Currently, the cigar is offered at 10 retailers, though it will begin shipping to other stores next month.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2023/04/hvc-seleccion-no-1-natural-poderosos-6.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
The sophomore release of HVC Cigars’ Selección No. 1 is now heading to stores.
The company is beginning to ship the HVC Selección No. 1 Natural, a new line that is the follow-up to last year’s Selección No. 1, the first new blend from the company’s new Nicaraguan factory, Fábrica de Tabacos HVC S.A. de Reinier Lorenzo. Like the original No. 1, the No. 1 Natural is made at the company’s factory in Estelí. It uses an Ecuadorian habano 92 wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Estelí and Jalapa, Nicaragua. By contrast, the Selección No. 1 uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Estelí and Jalapa.
Both cigars are offered in the same three vitolas:
HVC Selección No. 1 Natural Short Robusto (4 1/2 x 52) — $9.30 (Box of 20, $184)
HVC Selección No. 1 Natural Esenciales (5 5/8 x 46) — $8.40 (Box of 20, $168)
HVC Selección No. 1 Natural Poderosos (6 x 54) — $10.40 (Box of 20, $208) REVIEWED TODAY
“For us, the blend is medium full body cigar with rich flavors and a clean finish to the palate,” said Reinier Lorenzo, HVC’s founder, in a press release.

(Description provided by Casa 1910)
Another cigar that is part of the Soldadera Edition, honoring the immensely brave and powerful women who took part in the Mexican Revolution.
Petra Herrera "Sampetrina" was a brave Soldadera of the Revolution. She actively participated in the struggle, disguising her gender to join the forces commanded by Pancho Villa. She adopted the name Pedro Herrera and dressed as a man. She took part in innumerable battles where she stood out and achieved a notable reputation for her exemplary leadership. Despite achieving numerous significant victories, Petra was never officially recognized, leading her to abandon Villa’s forces and organize her own female-only brigade. It is said that she managed to gather up to a thousand Soldaderas.
We are dedicating this cigar in Petra’s honor. We want to shine a light upon her incredible leadership and skills with explosives.

(Description provided by Casa 1910)
The Mexican Revolution would have been impossible without the effort and sacrifice of the Soldaderas. These brave female warriors persevered and refused to be defeated despite their constant condemnation as a result of the ideologies of the time. The Soldaderas line is dedicated to those brave female soldiers, who fought for justice and freedom.
The Soldaderas line consist of:
Sampetrina Robusto; 5 x 50
La Coronela Majestuosos 1966; 5 1/2 x 58
Teniente Angela Toro; 6 x 52
Today we take a look at the Teniente Angela Toro.
Ángela Jiménez, known as "Teniente Angela" (Lieutenant Ángela) was a soldier, spy, explosives expert, flag bearer and sometimes a cook. Originally from Oaxaca, México, she fought in the Revolution with Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata's guerrillas in the North and Center of the country.
She never let her gender define her strength, which is why her fearlessness was so remarkable and inspiring. She put aside her skirts and fought with trousers, like any other Guerillero”. After the war, she continued to fight for the rights of Chicanos and was never silent in the face of injustice.
Much like "Teniente Angela", we want to continue fighting for those revolutionary principles which is why we have named a cigar after her in order to always remember her efforts for justice.
In this tobacco, you will find a rich combination of flavors and aromas ranging from wood, cocoa seeds, nuts, earth and black pepper. The ideal pairing for this cigar is Stout beer.

Today we take a look at the La Coronela Majestuosos 1966.
The Mexican Revolution was a pivotal time in the emancipation of gender oppression, as well as an opportunity for independence from political and economic tyranny. "La Coronela" was born and raised as Amelia Robles. It was not until she joined Emiliano Zapata’s army, that she adopted the name Amelio Robles.
This cigar is an homage to "La Coronela", a Soldadera who took part in over 70 combat missions. She earned the respect of her peers for her courage in battle, skilled use of weapons and incredible riding ability.
She was given the title of "Coronel" by Emiliano Zapata himself in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments. Although the government never formally conferred her with these titles.
"La Coronela” served as the inspiration for the creation of this complex, aromatic, and rich in flavor cigar, as a tribute to México.
This cigar offers distinct flavors and aromas which evolve beautifully as you smoke it. The best way to end a wonderful evening is by pairing this cigar along with a Cognac. The strength of the cigar balances perfectly with the complexity of this spirit.

(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
When it comes to companies making cigars in Mexico, the list of names is fairly short. But in 2021, a new company called Casa 1910 entered the premium cigar industry with the goal of changing the way cigar smokers think about Mexico while also creating a lifestyle brand that celebrates the country’s heritage and culture.
The company gets its name from the year of the Mexican Revolution, while its debut cigar, the Cuchillo Parado, references the town in the state of Chihuahua where the revolution began. It is a Mexican puro that uses a Sumatra seed wrapper that has been aged for three years. The binder, which comes from the San Andrês region, has been aged for five years. Once those two leaves are combined with the San Andrés-grown filler, the finished cigars are aged for another six to eight months in a process that the company says helps ensure a smooth and flavorful experience. That aging happens at an undisclosed factory in San Andrés Tuxtla in the state of Veracruz.
The blend was created by Juan Manuel Santiago Casillas, better known as Manolo Santiago, who worked as a marketing manager for Importadora y Exportadora de Puros y Tabacos S.A. de C.V.—the Mexican distributor of Cuban cigars—and is a “Master in Habanos,” the highest designation given to those who graduate from Habanos S.A.’s Habanos Academy, a training program run by the Cuban cigar conglomerate.
Blend and origin:
Country of Origin: Mexico
Factory: Undisclosed
Wrapper: Mexico (Sumatra)
Binder: Mexico (San Andrés)
Filler: Mexico (San Andrés)
MSRP: $15 (Box of 10, $150; Box of 20, $300)

Mofongo joins the company’s White Label Project, which is generally used to launch new cigars before they get their own branding. It is also a 6 x 52 toro, but uses an Ecuadorian corojo wrapper atop a Dominican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Pricing is set at $9.68 per cigar, with production limited to 300 boxes of 25 cigars, a total run of 7,500 sticks.
The Viaje WLP Mofongo gets its name from a popular dish throughout the Caribbean that uses mashed plantains as the base, with garlic, olive oil, chicarrón, and other ingredients added in and then generally served alongside a beef broth.

Valacari Cigars has announced that their new Mark 19 Black Iris has shipped to select retailers. Founded in 2016 by Nimmer Ahmad, Valacari has already begun to amass a dedicated following in the cities where they are sold. As with many of their previous limited production projects, only 1000 of the MK 19 blend have been made. The Mark 19 features an Oscuro wrapper and utilizes Nicaraguan binder and filler.

(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
The Romeo y Julieta Envy Amulet has begun arriving in stores.
It’s a limited edition 6 x 55 toro extra size that is made entirely of Nicaraguan tobaccos. Plasencia Cigars S.A. is making the Envy Amulet, which is a follow-up of sorts to the Romeo y Julieta Eternal, another cigar Plasencia made for Altadis U.S.A.
The MSRP is set at $17.50 per cigar and it is sold in boxes of 11. Production is limited to 100,00 cigars, roughly 9,090 boxes.
“This blend was in the making for quite some time because we knew the aging process would bring out amazing notes from these Nicaraguan tobaccos,” said Rafael Nodal, head of product capability for Tabacalera USA, in a press release. “Once perfectly aged, the rest was a matter of finding the ideal size to capture and display them to the fullest! So here it is, this cigar is absolutely fantastic!”

Todos Las Días Thick Lonsdale “Mas Fuerte"

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2023/03/todos-las-dias-thick-lonsdale-mas.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
Four years ago, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust showed off the Todos Las Días Thick Lonsdale “Mas Fuerte,” a 6 x 46 lonsdale that uses a modified version of the company’s Todos Las Días line. Next year, it will return, though retailers will need to place orders by the end of this July.
As the story goes, Steve Saka, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust’s founder, gave the Joya de Nicaragua factory the wrong blend instructions and they rolled it in a lonsdale size. Some mistakes are better than others and as it turns out, Saka enjoyed the blend. Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust released 2,000 cigars in 2018 but the entire Todos Las Días line was suspended in 2020 due to “tobacco limitations.” Saka now says that there’s now enough tobacco to roll more of the Thick Lonsdales, which is being done for a planned release in January.
“When originally blending the Todos Las Dias liga there were two finished core blends comprised of the same tobaccos, but with different proportions,” said Saka in a press release in 2018. “Ultimately, I selected the one I felt worked best in the original formats to be released and relegated the other to my blending diary. When it came time to add the Thick Lonsdale to the line, I inadvertently gave them the recipe for the stronger iteration. In their defense, the factory asked me to verify the blend twice, but I managed to still muck it up and authorized them to produce 200 boxes as instructed. I didn’t actually realize my mistake until I was smoking the post production cigars for quality control purposes. Right away I knew something was askew.”
The blend uses only Nicaraguan tobaccos including a Cuban-seed wrapper and fillers from Estelí and Jalapa.

(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
Guy Fieri is celebrating his 55th birthday and he will do so with a limited edition cigar made for the occasion.
Knuckle Sandwich Cigars—the joint project between Fieri, the Food Network celebrity chef, and Espinosa Premium Cigars—is releasing the Knuckle Sandwich 55 to celebrate the occasion. It is a new 5 1/2 x 55 robusto extra made in a shape that is rounded more akin to an oval than a circle. Blend-wise, the Knuckle Sandwich 55 uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Nicaragua. Like the other Knuckle Sandwich cigars, it is made at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano Factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua.
The MSRP is set at $15 per cigar and production is limited to 555 boxes of 10 cigars.
“Guy wanted to do something special for his birthday, what better gift than a special cigar made for a special occasion,” said Erik Espinosa of Espinosa Premium Cigars. “As luck would have it, this limited release coincides with the one-year anniversary of the launch of Knuckle Sandwich Cigars. We are both very proud of the success and reviews it has garnered in its first year.”
