Thin Jacketed Bullets
Randy talks about thin jacketed bullets and why they're not good for hunting. Most high BC bullets are thin jacketed bullets which allows them to shoot further more effectively, but with poor construction they do not perform like a hunting bullet should upon impact. They make great target bullets, but use properly constructed hunting bullets to shoot game.

Youth Monster White Tail Hunt - The Real Gunsmith
Joe 12 and Lilli 14, son and daughter of our video producer Bryon Worthen both had general tags to fill for this year's deer hunt and it was Joe's first year hunting. With 2 tags burning in their pockets, the kids got a little help from Bryon's friend Sam and his dad who were able to get them permission to hunt on a small private ranch in Wyoming. The kids were shooting a custom Winchester Model 70 take down rifle chambered in .270 Winchester built by Randy. The rifle has an extremely efficient muzzle break which results in very little felt recoil, perfect for the kids to shoot! Ammo used was custom loaded by Randy using 140gr Nosler Accubond Bullets with a muzzle velocity of 3150 fps.

Thread & Cut Breech Pt 2
First published in April of 2019 on Patreon. Cathy, The Real Gunsmith's Wife, published the chambering a barrel part one and two last month. Perhaps this should have been published first.
For those who think he may not be doing this correctly, because you've not been taught to do it this way, we are sorry you were not schooled as he was. We guarantee THIS works and very accurately.
Also, he has been safely machining wearing long sleeve shirts at least half of each year for over 50 years and never once had an accident, let a lone a near call. Because he is CAREFUL and knows what he is doing. Randy threads and cuts the breech in this and the next video. He is rebarreling a pre-64 Mod 70 for a client to .264 Win.
God bless.

Resizing Belted Magnum Cases
UPDATE: Jan. 20, 2024, After the death of Larry Willis in 2022, production was on hold for a bit. We'd recently heard from several people who wanted the product but backorder was an issue. We reached out to Innovative Technologies about the status and this is what we received today: "Randy, yes, we are still in business, and we are trying our best to get the dies out. We ran into some issues last year that caused a backlog on the orders. Our old supplier changed directions and stopped production. We have now secured a new supplier and he is in the process of getting the milling machine online running down materials (which he just got in on the 11th) and is telling us 60 days to get a run finished. We are hoping for a shorter turn around, but I don't want to get anyone's hopes up.
Once we get the dies going, we are looking to address another issue that we have had people inquire about and that looks like it will be a two-step process to help extend the life of the cases.
We are offer full refunds to anyone who wants them but so far, most customers are willing to wait.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
David Crowder"
Randy shows how to safely resize belted magnum cases using a belted magnum collet resizing die made by Larry Willis of Innovative Technologies.
Larry has informed us that he had retired due to health reasons, but a buddy is continuing the business and making Larry's patented products. See this innovative belted magnum collet resizing die at http://larrywillis.com/ At $96.95 [at the time of production, the cost may change] it is a wise investment for your reloading of belted magnum cases.
From a viewer December of 2023: Larry Willis died in ‘22 and they ONLY take PayPal for payment. The person I was dealing with has been less than helpful. Sadly, he is the only one producing this product.

Freedoms Revisited
Why is this coming up again? Because it is so very important that you take note of the attacks on the freedoms on all sides, and first and foremost are the attacks on our Second Amendment rights. The idiotic bills being put forth, tragedies being politicized, at all levels, is why we are bringing this up again.
Without our 2nd Amendment, all other rights under the Constitution will quickly disappear. There are already attacks on our right to free speech. If we don’t agree with the leftist agenda, many are being stifled on various platforms. Our views are given short shrift, ridiculed or ignored by the main stream media.
Religious freedoms are under attack.
All of these, and the rest of the Constitution, rests on our Second Amendment.
