The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) - #7 - Inside Skull Woods
Originally streamed on 06/20/2022
What an interesting design choice! And it's so early in the series too. "Hey, let's have players leave and enter the dungeon at different points and have them go through the overworld." "Yeah! Good idea!" There's one particular "dungeon" in The Wind Waker I can't wait to experience again, but that is FIVE games away at this point. Plus the Kingdom Hearts series on top of that? Hoo boy, that'll be a while before we get there!
Here, we leave and enter and leave and enter and leaver and enter the Skull Woods dungeon. Plus, we get to the start of the next dungeon, Gargoyle's Domain.
Man, I am really having a good time here. At one point, this was Nintendo's most ambitious game and I can see how this would have melted minds back in 1991.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) - #6 - Inside the Swamp Palace
Originally streamed on 06/13/2022
One of my favorite things about Zelda, and video games in general, is just how a world just unfolds for you. Little by little. Yeah, some games let you go wild at the start but it does slowly reveal its secrets to you. I feel like that happens here as we go back and forth from the Light World and Dark World and exploring the parts that were inaccessible to us before.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) - #5 - Inside the Dark Palace
Originally streamed on 06/12/2022
Took a break from streaming Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix on Twitch and got back to streaming A Link to the Past! Again, that's why there is such long gaps of time in the between the "Originally streaming/recording" dates. I haven't looked at Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix in a while, I wonder how those dates look. Anyways...
In this episode, we see a good spike in difficult as we go through the Dark Palace and get ourselves ready for the Swamp Palace

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) - #4 - Inside the Tower of Hera
Originally recorded on 03/09/2022
Why are these recording dates so staggered AND so late? Just wanted to get a backlog of episodes ready to go whenever I was ready to post them. Four weeks later, I think it's safe to assume that I was ready to post.
In this episode we get the last pendant in the Tower of Hera, fight Agahnim, and explore the Dark World to get to the first Dark World dungeon
Good luck to J-Ru and Collector's Quest as he attempts to break the Guiness Book of World's Record

After working too much and too long. I got back to streaming.
Here we make short work of the Desert Palace and explore more of the Overworld, which includes the Lost Woods, Zora's Waterfall, and Death Mountain.
- Note as of posting this video -
I can't believe how much my life change since starting this game on stream to when I finished. A complete night and day difference.

It's been super hectic with life recently. But that is what makes life great!
I need the break though, so streaming it is!
Here we tear through the Eastern Palace and explore the Overworld for a bit. Let's see if we can set up success in later hours.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) - #1 - A Link to the Future!
Originally recorded on 10/11/2021
Here we are! Back at it again! And we are not going anywhere for a long, long time!
Initially release in Japan on November 21, 1991; North America on April 13, 1992, and Europe on September 24, 1992. We are finishing a Link to the Past, the third game released for the Legend of Zelda series!
It has been about 12 years since I lasted played it. A lot happened since then. College, relationships, careers... life. Life happened. I remember liking this. Quite a bit actually. So let's see how it handles!
Here, we play the opening segment up until the first dungeon in the game.

Two Good Hours - #31 - TMNT II: The Arcade Game (NES)
For Chris.
I don't remember much about getting the game. I don't remember who got to use the free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut coupon (More than likely, no one did. It more than likely expired by the time we got the game) I do remember playing the heck out of it, and loving it.
But does it still hold up or does it still kick shell? Let's give TMNT II: The Arcade Game for the NES the TGH Treatment.

Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories - Reverse/Rebirth - #11 - The Grand Finale!
Originally streamed on 06/23/2021
I was really expecting some sort of super crazy, super long stream. "Better set aside the three hours."
I finish the game in less than one hour.
That's it. No more Re: Chain of Memories. It's over.
Thank you very much for sticking with me through it all. We are all rewarded, because Kingdom Hearts II is coming soon.

Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories - Reverse/Rebirth - #10 - Well, I was not expecting that.
Originally streamed on 06/21/2021
I know I like to play around a lot. Those thumbnails I make are definitely proof of that. But this is definitely the first time I can say, without being condescending or joking around, that I really felt something while playing Kingdom Hearts. The story here, in this particular episode, just matures from "angsty, emo kids with Disney characters" to "What happens when a fake dies? Where will my heart go?"
It's strangely peaceful. I don't even know how to react to it when it happens. I don't think I even allowed myself to process it. But reflecting on it now, it's a touching, thought provoking scene.
At the end of the stream, a friend sent me this clip. I made reference to this on the stream before watching it. I regret that decision, but it's still pretty funny.

In a surprise decision by me, who was super tired. I streamed live on Twitch for an extra hour. Go me. We finish up Halloweentown and turn one of the Organization's members into Nobody mincemeat.
We also make an annoucement for streams on Tuesdays!
I make a reference to a video I watched at some point in the stream. Here it is, in all of it's glory.

Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories - Reverse/Rebirth - #7 - Wonderland and Halloweentown for Riku!
Originally streamed on 06/14/2021
A little of Wonderland. A little Halloweentown (hey, copyright claim, it's been a while. Good to see you.) I surprised myself here when I make it a two-part stream. This story has been much better than the original Kingdom Hearts, and even Sora's part. I make an announcement for Tuesdays. I wonder what it could be.

I don't think I said this before, even on stream. But Riku crawling out of the basement of Castle Oblivion while Riku is climbing to the top at the same time is a really, really cool idea.

In this very special episode, I learned that I don't like semi-difficult boss fights where the boss looks EXACTLY like me and targeting randomly turns off.

Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories - Reverse/Rebirth - #2 - What did I do to get such good fortune
Originally Recorded on 04/22/2021
So not only did we tear through Agrabah. But we tear through Monstro as well. Not only that, we demolish a certain member of the Organization that gave us such grief in Sora's Story.
I'm shocked at the sudden shift in gameplay, in a good way.

Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories - Reverse/Rebirth - #1 - We Begin Riku's Story!!
Originally Recorded on 04/19/2021
We start playing Re: Chain of Memories, but from Riku's point of view. Many of the game play elements from Sora's story remain but what changes? Do we like the shift in tone? Do we like the new characters? Is it the breath of fresh air we needed?
You're just gonna have to watch and find out!

I decided earlier that I was going to beat Zelda II that night, regardless of how long it would take. This is the fourth hour of a 4 1/2 hour stream!
In this hour, we get a real sense of the looming threat of the return of Ganon.
We also learn that the Grand Palace ain't no joke!

I decided earlier that I was going to beat Zelda II that night, regardless of how long it would take. This is the last half hour of a 4 1/2 hour stream!
It was 2:30 in the morning when we figured out Thunderbird and marched towards Dark Link.
Thank you so much for your support while I streamed Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. For the first time ever, I gave this game a serious chance.
It needs items. It needs a map system in Palaces. Palaces need to be designed better (Why do they all go down at the beginning of each palace? Why couldn't there be a "Palace in the Sky" or something where we go up?) But Zelda II is daring and bold. "Let's try a leveling system. Let's try a magic system. Let's try something different with combat. Let's actually have towns and not random old people in caves!"
If I had to put Zelda NES games on a Bell Curve, I would put Zelda I above average, but not by much. But Zelda II would be below average, but not by much.

Hyrule is a little bigger than I thought it would be in Zelda II. I really need a map. Plus, any sort of sword upgrade is sorely needed.
