CITY TYRES EAST AFRICA BADMINTON CHALLENGE 2023
The Uganda Badminton Association with partners launched the 5th edition of the city tyres east africa badminton challenge that will take place in Uganda at lugogo indoor stadium from the 26th to the 29th Oct 2023.
The tournament that is expected to have over 400 players from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania will be played both in teams and individual formats with singles, doubles and mixed games.
57TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY FOR OMUSINGA
The Omusinga Wo'businga Bwa Rwenzururu has celebrated his 57th coronation anniversary at the Royal Hill in Kasese district after 7 years of incarceration.

MURDER OF NAGIRINYA AND KITAYIMBWA: KASOLO AND LUBEGA SENTENCED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT
Kasolo Compuliyamu and Lubega Johnson have been sentenced to life in prison by the high court after being convicted of the murder of Maria Nagirinya and her driver Ronald Kitayimbwa.
Judge Isaac Muwata send the two to such a deterrent sentence, the court was of the view that the two were not remorseful during the whole trial yet they knew that they had committed the offenses.

UGANDA AIRLINES LAUNCHES OPERATIONS TO LAGOS NIGERIA.
Uganda Airlines has launched commercial operations to Lagos Nigeria, adding yet another destination to its expanding network.
The airline has positioned the Airbus A330 800 neo aircraft on this route which has been poised by many to boost trade between Uganda and Nigeria.
State minister for transport Fred Byamukama presided over the flag off ceremony at Entebbe International Airport.
Lagos Nigeria is route 13 on Uganda airlines’ route map. The airline with a fleet of four CRJ 900 aircraft and two wide body Airbus A330’s has now got west Africa connected to its network.
The flight to lagos was flagged off by State Minister of Transport, Fred Byamukama who underlined the substantial potential of this new route emphasizing its role in enhancing trade and tourism ties between Nigeria and Uganda.
The connection between the two nations is expected to open up exciting opportunities for collaboration and growth.
