Breast cancer patients lives will now be extended as Betpawa Uganda in conjunction with Pink October Uganda support those affected by the disease.
This was disclosed at the launch of the campaign to sponsor and donate artificial breasts to those that loose their breasts to the disease.

The National Agricultural Research Organization has unveiled two new sweet potato varieties to answer the key aspects of nutrition and value addition.

Government through the Uganda Electricity Generating Company Ltd UEGCL developed the Decision Support System, a module which empowers the agency to make informed decisions swiftly geared at optimal distribution of hydropower. The system is being implimented on Isimba dam, Karuma and Nalubaale dam.

FIRST LADY SEEKS STANBIC BANK'S SUPPORT FOR TECHNICAL INSTITUTE TRAINERS' TRAINING FUND.
The First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports Mrs. Janet Museveni has requested the Standard Bank Group and its subsidiary; Stanbic Bank Uganda, to consider supporting a fund that will enable the training of trainers for the various technical institutes in Uganda.
The First lady noted that in order for the sector to get competent trainers in the technical institutes, a training fund is urgently required.

KCCA ACCOUNTS FOR CITY ROADS
Kampala city is currently facing a serious issue of nearly impassable roads. Parliament has raised concerns over possible exaggerations in construction costs of these roads.
In response to these concerns, members of the August House have called for an audit to investigate the expenses related to road construction under Kampala Capital City Authority.
This recommendation is outlined in the report by the Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises- COSASE
