MUSEVENI AND OMUSINGA MUMBERE HOLD TALKS: PLEDGES TO REBUILD RWENZURURU ROYAL PALACE
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni held discussions with His Majesty Omusinga (King) Charles Wesley Mumbere of Rwenzururu Kingdom and his wife Her Royal Highness Nyabaghole Agnes Ithungu Asimawe at State House, Entebbe on Wednesday.
During the meeting, President Museveni was happy to learn that the Obusinga bwa Rwenzururu had begun a new chapter which is aligned with the vision of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) to transform Uganda.

The government of Uganda has announced that all top government officials including ministers willsurrender all their vehicles to enable government use them during the ten days activities of the Non-Aligned Movement and G-77+ China summits.
While receiving a fleet of 70 Maxus D90 SUVs donated to Uganda by the Chinese government, the permanent secretary ministry of Foreign affairs Vincent Bagiire said government will withdraw the vehicles from the holders starting 18th December 2023 and park them at Kololo grounds for maintenance.
HOSTING NAM & G-77+CHINA SUMMITS: MUNYONYO CONFERENCE HOTEL FACELIFT AT 90%
The Ugandan government and the management team of Speak Hotel Munyonyo have provided assurance to members of the Non-Aligned Movement and North-South that the civil works in and around the Summit Center will conclude by early January 2024.
This affirmation was conveyed during a briefing to the advance teams of participating countries, currently convened at Speak Hotel Munyonyo. The teams conducted inspections of accommodation, conference, and residential facilities.

For years, investors in Uganda have suffered red tape bureaucracy, bribery and delayed certificate issuance to invest in country; this has discouraged investors to invest in Uganda hence affecting Uganda’s economic growth
With the launch of electronic investor’s protection portal by Colonel Edith Nakalema the head of state house investor’s protection unit, the technology will ensure that all agencies and ministries are interconnected in guarding investors against the vice of corruption

Serial killer Musa Musasiizi has been sentenced to over 100 years in prison after pleading guilty to the murder of four girlfriends and a three-month-old baby.
High Court Judge Margaret Mutonyi handed down this extensive sentence as a deterrent, citing the gravity of Musasiizi's criminal conduct. He murdered the five victims by setting them ablaze, and the judge emphasized that this sentencing should serve as a stern warning to potential perpetrators.

Consecration of the new Bishop - Canon Moses Banja is to be consecrated as Bishop, this Sunday.
Preparations for the consecration of the Bishop-elect of Namirembe Diocese, Canon Moses Banja, are in full swing at Namirembe Hill.
The Bishop-elect, Moses Banja, who was warmly welcomed to his residence at Namirembe Hill yesterday by the outgoing Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira, is currently undergoing a series of preparations to equip him for the upcoming day.
Canon Moses Banja is scheduled to be consecrated as the sixth Bishop of Namirembe Diocese on Sunday, 9th December 2023, at St. Paul's Cathedral, Namirembe.

The Deputy Secretary-General of the NRM, Rose Namayanja has underscored the significance of empowering the youth and equipping them with the skills and knowledge essential for their societal well-being.

ADVOCACY GROUPS TEAM UP TO CURB INCREASED CASES AMONG YOUNG GIRLS
HIV/AIDS advocacy groups in Mbale city have started a campaign to sensitize young adolescent girls on the HIV/AIDS and reduce infections among girls.
Advocacy groups including Women with a Mission Uganda, Her Voice and Mbale Area federation of Communities (MAFOC), on every one boy that contracts the virus, three are girls translating to 3% for boys and 7.5% girls.
