AUCTIONING OF MUSLIM PROPERTY: COURT OF APPEAL HALTS KYABAHWA FROM SELLING OFF MUSLIM PROPERTY
Court of Appeal in Kampala has halted the auctioning of Muslim property in a bid to recover shs19.2 billion by businessman Justus Kyabahwa.
The ruling was made by three justices of court of appeal led by the deputy Chief Justice Richard Buteera.
ADVERSE IMPACT ON THE EFFICIENCY OF WASTE MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS.
Traders united under the umbrella organization known as the United Arcaders Traders Entrepreneurs Association (UATEA) have found themselves grappling with growing piles of garbage around Kampala arcades, imposing a suffocating impact on local businesses.
Ntaale Edward, the Chairman of UATEA, emphasized the urgency for KCCA to address the garbage crisis, stating that the continued negligence may prompt traders to resort to drastic measures by refusing license payments.
According to a 2023 report by KCCA. Out of 1,200– 1,500 tones of garbage generated per day, only 400-500 tones are collected giving a collection efficiency of only 40%
UMSC response to court ruling - State Minister Namuganza denounces extremist actions in Islam
State Minister of Housing, Hon. Pasis Namuganza, emphasized the importance of unity among Muslims, especially in aiding the less fortunate. She extended gratitude to One Ummah Uganda's leadership, including Sheikh Erias Kigozi and Hajjati Shania Kigozi, for their assistance to the needy. This was conveyed during the Zakat distribution event held at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council headquarters in Old Kampala.
Prime Minister holds bilateral meetings with development partners
The prime minister Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah has held several bilateral meetings with development partners at the sidelines of the ongoing Global Refugee Forum in Geneva Switzerland.

Fighting malnutrition - Ministry of health launches adolescent nutrition strategy
Ministry of health nutrition division has launched the adolescent nutrition advocacy strategy to among other things advocate for the drafting and operationalization of adolescent nutrition policies and strategies.
One of the key issues in the report is increasing access to nutritious foods especially for school going adolescents.

Enhancing certified electricians – ERA partners with UPIK for training
The Electricity Regulatory Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba to enhance the certification and training of electricians especially fresh trainees from the institute. The agreement will facilitate industrial placement of trainees.

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI RECEIVES CREDENTIALS FROM 7 NEW ENVOYS TO UGANDA
President Museveni has received credentials from seven Ambassadors and High Commissioners, newly accredited to Uganda.
The Ambassadors presented their credentials at State House, Entebbe.
They included H.E. Mohamed Khelifi - Algeria, H.E Simone Knapp- Austria, H.E Pavel Vziatkin- Belarus, H.E Mathews Jere- Zambia, H.E. Nayef Hapes Al-Otaibi- Kuwait, H.E. Tareque Muhammad- Bangladesh and H.E. Andrew Onalenna- Botswana.
During the function, President Museveni welcomed the new Ambassadors to Uganda and assured them of the government commitment to work with them to strengthen the cordial relationship among the particular countries.
On their part, the Ambassadors also promised to work with Uganda basing on mutual respect and cooperation.

The defence spokesperson Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye confirmed that the exit of UPDF follows DRC government decision not to renewal the mandate of the East African Community Regional Force beyond December 2023.
