Music, Johann Sebastion Bach. "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring". Written in 1723 as part of a 4 part cantata, "Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben" Heart and Mind and Deeds and Life.

Holy wisdom, love most bright;

Chickens and Opera
Babysitting chicks in my garage. Una Furtiva Lagrima" (a secret tear) was composed by Gaetano Donizetti for the opera "L'elisir d'amore" ("The Elixir of Love"). The most popular of Donizetti's works and first performed in 1832 in Milan. Very relaxing to sit and watch the chickens and listen to pretty music. I think the chicks like it, too :) Comments Welcome

Midnight On The Mantle Clock
These clocks were made in America by several different companies during the mid to late 1800s. They were sold as "kitchen clocks" for 3 for $12.98. You have to wind them up every couple of days and they strike the hour and then strike once on the half hour. As with everything there were more expensive ones. This was an "everyday" household clock. Video set to Tchaikovsky "Andante Contabile" :) Comments Welcome

Oregon - Multnomah Falls - Columbia River Scenic Area
The falls were created from a "hanging valley" by the Missoula Floods about 15,000 years ago and are fed by underground streams from Larch Mountain. According to legend from the Multnomah tribe, the waterfall was formed after a young woman sacrificed herself to the Great Spirit to save Multnomah village from a plague. Jumping from the cliff, she gave her life for the Multnomah people. After her death, water began to flow from above the cliff, creating the waterfall. Film taken fom the "pool" and set to "Music In The Time of Shakespeare . . . The Witty Wanton" :) Comments Welcome
