Have a purpose or a goal
As you begin to think about the year ahead, setting some goals for yourself is important. These goals include exercising more regularly or starting the carnivore diet.
Set small achievable goals, like starting a Carnivore Diet
To make changes to your life, it's important to set small achievable goals. A goal like "I want to lose fifty pounds" is too large and overwhelming, especially if you haven't been exercising regularly and are working two jobs. Instead, try a simple goal: "I will start a Carnivore Diet tomorrow morning."
Don't rely on willpower.
One of the most important things you can do to change your life does not rely on willpower.
Willpower is like a muscle: it's limited, and once it's exhausted (usually after about 20 minutes), all bets are off. If you're trying to give up alcohol or smoking, avoid junk food, stop procrastinating, or anything else that requires self-control—you are going to have a very rough time if every time you get discouraged or something gets in your way, you turn back to old habits.
Destroy your limitations. Master your mindset.
One of the most important things you can do to change your life is to make sure you're in control of what's happening inside your head. You may have heard this before—and it's certainly not new information—but that doesn't make it any less true: our minds are powerful tools that can be used for good or bad.
We need to start thinking differently about ourselves and our lives to destroy limiting beliefs. This means making an effort to recognize and change negative thought patterns. It also involves learning how to overcome these negative thoughts so that they don't occur as often or with such force in the future.
There are many ways in which we can do this! One simple way would be through positive affirmations. These statements tell us something nice about ourselves, like "I am smart" or "I am beautiful." This helps us start feeling better about ourselves so that when we think about these things again later on down the road (even subconsciously), the response will be more positive than it was before!
Make sleep a priority.
Sleep deprivation is one of the most common causes of bad moods, irritability, and lack of focus. The world would be much better if we all committed 10 minutes every day to our sleep hygiene, ensuring that we get enough rest each night. The rewards are huge. For example, studies have found that people who get less than 6 hours of sleep per night are 2-3 times more likely to develop cardiovascular disease than those who get 7-8 hours per night[1]. What’s more, the risk of stroke increases by 38% for people who sleep less than 5 hours per night[2].
You have power over your own life and mindset.
If you don't believe you have power over your own life, the next 20 years will be hard. Your mindset and your habits are the two most important factors in determining how well you succeed in life and what kind of person you become. The good news is that they're both things that you can change!

How does fasting help with fat loss?
Fasting for weight loss can be a great tool to shed pounds, but knowing what happens in your body when you're not eating is essential. When food is withheld from the body, the body is forced to use its own energy stores as fuel. Fat is broken down and used as an energy source, which helps reduce overall fat stores in the body. Fasting also causes the body to start burning fat for energy more quickly. This process usually takes place around 12 hours into fasting; however, it can happen earlier or later depending on how lean you are and how often you practice fasting.
Intermittent fasting
Intermittent fasting is a form of dieting in which you fast for short periods of time and then eat normally. It's become popular recently, with celebrities like Hugh Jackman touting its benefits. There are several different ways to do intermittent fasting:
Fat fasting
The fat-fasting diet is similar to the ketogenic diet because it’s high in fat and involves eating no protein or carbs. It has many of the same benefits as a keto diet—namely, weight loss and improved health—but with less hunger and no need to limit your fat intake.
Prolonged fasting
Prolonged fasting can sometimes be beneficial for weight loss plateaus. If you're struggling with plateauing on your diet and exercise plan, consider adding a longer fast of 24 hours or more once or twice weekly. The key here is not to make it last forever but rather give your body a break from constantly eating while still being able to get the nutrients it needs since the body naturally starts using up fat stores when food isn't consumed for long enough periods of time (more than 24 hours).
For most people, intermittent fasting is the easiest method to lose weight. It’s also one of the more effective ways to do it. Fasting allows you to eat fewer calories throughout the day and still achieve a healthy weight loss goal—without having to count calories or worry about restricting yourself from certain foods. Why you're not losing fat on a Carnivore Diet?
The carnivore diet is not a weight-loss or fat-loss diet. It’s actually a nutrient-dense, high-fat, low-carb lifestyle that supports your body to burn fat as the main fuel source.
To be clear: If you are eating a carnivore diet and still think you need to lose weight—stop worrying about it! You will not lose weight on this diet unless you have some other underlying medical condition that affects your hormones and metabolism.
The only way for anyone to lose any significant amount of body fat is for their body to be able to use stored energy (fat) as its primary fuel source instead of relying on glucose from carbohydrates in foods like bread, pasta and potatoes. This metabolic state is often referred to as ‘ketosis’ because the production of ketones increases when the body switches from burning carbs for energy (glucose) which results in an increased rate of fat mobilization/burning while at rest (and during exercise).
Why just fat loss isn't the goal
The carnivore diet is not a weight loss plan.
The goal isn't to just lose weight; it's to have lean muscle mass and healthy organs. The goal isn't even primarily health; it's optimal performance in life—and this includes activity levels! It may seem counterintuitive because most people equate leanness with good health, but what matters most is how well we function as humans rather than how low our BMI (body mass index) is or how much visceral belly fat we have.
Why being fat-adapted is more important
If you’re a meat eater, then going on a Carnivore Diet may be the easiest way to achieve fat adaptation. This is because it allows you to eat as much meat as your heart desires without taking in any carbs and sugars at all.
If you are trying to lose weight on this type of diet, I have some news for you: being “fat-adapted” is more important than losing fat (and it can prevent you from gaining muscle).

What is fat fasting
Fat fasting is a method of eating that involves simply eating only fat. Fat fasting can be used in conjunction with Ketogenic diets or it can be done alone for a period of time to help you break through stubborn weight loss plateaus.
Fat fasting for weight loss
Fat fasting is not a long-term weight loss solution. In fact, it's not even a good idea to use fat fasting for more than 2 - 5 days.
How to do fat fasting
Here are the basics of fat fasting.
1. Eat only fats for a set period of time. You can eat as much fat as you like and as often as you like, but no carbohydrates or proteins.
2. Drink water, tea or coffee (you can also drink other non-caloric beverages).
3. Consume enough calories to maintain your weight.
Fat Fasting can be a useful way to break through a weight loss plateau.

When you do this for several days in a row (typically 3–4), your body gets confused about what you're trying to accomplish — that is, whether it should store or burn fat — so it starts burning off anything in your body that's not essential for survival: including excess fat storage!
