I am so sorry to hear that, Maura. Do you think that the “material” used for the “replacement lens” was the problem? I know that the people on my “team” figured out that my body would not have done well with the material most often used – and so they used (for me) a material that is more often used for “sensitive” people… …which I guess I am! Would it ever be an option to remove the “replacement lens” they used (for you) and give you another one?

95. Amlexanox - A Repurposed Anti-Inflammatory
Amlexanox (2-amino-7-isopropyl-5-oxo-5H-chromeno[2,3-b]pyridine-3-carboxylic acid), an inhibitor of inflammatory mediators and a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, has obvious therapeutic potential. Amlexanox also inhibits cell proliferation and migration. It inhibits PI3K/Akt/MAPK and NF-κB signalling. This could bring about its phenotypic outcome on cell proliferation and migration in vitro. The cell cycle is inhibited in G1 via the operation of the IκB kinase (IKK)-related kinases TBK1/IKK-epsilon, possibly also the Akt/MAPK pathway (Moser et al., 2016). Given that this pathway can inhibit MMPs, the inhibitory effects of amlexanox on cell migration have become more revealing of the involved mechanisms. That it can promote the depolymerisation of actin filaments is supplementary evidence for its effect on cell motility.

20:27:16 From Dr. Tom Lewis : I am showing these because amlexanox is not the only treatment for inflammatory disease - but it may be complementary or potentially more powerful? Or have fewer side effects.

20:30:00 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Stefan: Often at low dose, even though it is called an antibiotic, it does not express that activity. I can point you to the world expert on this topic - Mark Nelson - I have his lecture on my channel. He has investigated repurposed low dose ABx as anti-inflammatories and found at the anti-inflammatory level they do not express antibiotic activities…. Dose make the poison or cure.

20:31:28 From Dr. Tom Lewis : The favorable effects of minocycline in a therapeutic window of 72 hours can be due to the various minocycline mechanisms of action during stroke. It can be hypothesized that the anti-apoptotic effect, which has been shown in minocycline use,5,6 will appear in a later poststroke stage after more than 48 hours.

Pharma
20:54:41 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Steve.. What I am saying is we have about one thing and its benefits - but seldom is it compared to something with a similar mechanism that has been around for a while. The drug companies are notorious to comparing their efficacy to nothing or something bad. We always need to think about other options. This drug is not the only one that does what Dr. Halasa is talking about - not to say it is bad or inappropriate….. That’s why I sent out some links to the drugs that Dr. Trempe used.

19:53:58 From Greg Dent To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Dr Lewis, once magnesium has passed through the gut, does it make any difference on its form? Why the hoopla on the threonate/brain barrier connection? Thx, greg
19:58:24 From Steve : Hay All,
I captured today's Kara Fitzgerald webinar with guest Myles Spar, MD

20:01:06 From Alison Reece : Late heat wave here. Temp in the 90’s on the weekend. La Niña is over.
20:05:23 From Electron Recycler : thanks for the link Steve
20:08:01 From Alison Reece : What’s the situation with radioactive strontium and caesium from Fukushima in the pacific around Canada? Is it safe to eat wild caught Sockeye Salmon (I can get it in Australia- not good for food miles but possible)?
20:08:03 From Steve : You're welcome ER. It had a different approach than other similar webinars
20:12:24 From Martha Stark, MD : Does “cod liver oil” involve ingesting the cod’s “liver”? But aren’t “livers” the place where toxins are accumulated? …prior to being detoxified and eliminated… So doesn’t this mean that taking “cod liver oil” runs the risk of “adding” toxins to the body? PS I personally do my Carlson’s “cod liver oil” every single day – but I have always wondered about the wisdom of eating a fish’s liver!! Clearly I am missing something here…
20:13:16 From Alison Reece : Thanks, Martha, I’d like to know that too, now that you mention it.
20:16:51 From Martha Stark, MD : Zen – I know you will be clarifying – Does “organic” necessarily imply “non-GMO”?
20:20:15 From Electron Recycler : organic implies non GMO, but not the reverse
20:20:34 From Martha Stark, MD : Thank you, Andrew!
20:25:52 From grigsby : Why is glyphosate still sold in box stores?
20:26:08 From Martha Stark, MD : I wish I could ask this question anonymously because I know that I should know the answer. Why is it that “local” is always better?
20:27:56 From AMJ : This is so sad.....we won't be able to eat much of anything.
20:29:18 From Steve : AMJ, this issue is compounded by the horrible things being sprayed from the sky. A recent report stated the whole world is polluted.
20:31:07 From Maura : Non stop Chem trails - it’s off the rails Sun comes out and they are up spraying so that sun is gone
20:32:27 From Maura : Is there a link to join that weekly food growing group
20:32:42 From Steve : True. IMO, the nano-jabs and the spraying are worse than glyphosate.
20:34:16 From Maura : Replying to "True. IMO, the nan…"
There is no opt out from chem trail spraying
20:35:01 From Steve : Replying to "True. IMO, the nan..."
Because no one knows for sure who is responsible for this terrorist activity.
20:36:23 From Zen Honeycutt : Yes organic means non GMO and no toxic herbicides
20:37:47 From Steve : However the organic label doesn't apply to the fertilizers, which can be laced with all sorts of toxins.
20:37:53 From Jeffrey : The key to supporting local farms is supporting “small" local farms because they are less likely to use chemicals. But you still have to ask and then go see the farm for yourself, and maybe even volunteer or ask for a tour. Most likely they be happy too to show you around.
20:38:21 From Alison Reece : What was the film that Zen was in?
20:39:32 From Jane Norton : @Alison - film = Secret Ingredient
20:42:06 From Linda Anderson : USDA attacking Amish organic farmer Amos Miller... Robert Barnes, JD defending... a test cASE TO BE WATCHED

20:49:43 From Scott's S21 : Don't trust the EPA, look what they did in East Palestine Ohio
20:50:44 From Jeffrey : You can use molecular hydrogen, glycine, MSM sulfur, fulvic & humic acid, and folate to take glyphostae out of your body.
20:51:40 From WG : what labs test for glyphosate in UA?
20:51:43 From Zen Honeycutt : I could not sue state of Utah has a constitution that puts individual rights below that of the state ie: greater good
20:52:05 From Zen Honeycutt : HealthResearchInstitute Labs HRIlabs.com
20:54:26 From Maura : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zq_farmish&gl=US

20:56:55 From Maura : What state is best for good food

Webinar: Harshfield - Radiology Errors; Lewis - Eye Part 4
Chat:
12:01:28 From Dr. Tom Lewis : The nautilus symbolizes nature's grace in growth, expansion, and renewal and projects order amidst chaos, as reflected in its spiral precision. The spiral is a logarithm, as is every facet of nature, including health. Lack of understanding of this simple concept is a crucial reason healthcare systems fail.
12:03:02 From virginiamiller : Will Regener-Eyes improve an AMD condition?
12:04:49 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Virginia - it should - but my preferred is the brown stein protocol with high dose vitamin A and minocycline which is an antibiotic AND antiinflammatory
12:05:10 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Regener-eyes would be most effective after these 2 treatments - fix the terrain first
12:06:23 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Do not forget about the EYE-O-DINE roll-on and drops
12:06:40 From Dr. Tom Lewis : For the iodine. Just call us 24x7 at 305 667-9375.)
12:07:28 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Testosterone update. https://regenexx.com/blog/is-testosterone-supplementation-dangerous-new-research/
12:08:02 From Dr. Tom Lewis : I’m still on T - focusing on getting it between 750 and 1000. Also, I am dosing so I only take it 2-3 times per week instead of every day.
12:09:42 From Joy Gentle : Posting here for the roughly 50 participants on right now. Peter Kulish' responses to chat Q's that came in during the Solid State Magnets webinar on Sept 18. Very thorough document. Will post again near the end of this call to catch those who join late.
12:10:32 From Doris Fellenz : Thank you Joy.
12:10:51 From Joy Gentle : Also, you can access all of Peter's educational slides here: https://biomagscience.net/biomagscience-slide-presentation/

Have you checked out Dr. Pam Smith's book on male hormones? Amazing amount of info I've not run across previously.

12:29:16 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Look.. that is
12:33:52 From Steve : That's why I decline dental x-rays most of the time
12:37:57 From Martha Stark, MD : On the television show Chicago Med, they have introduced Artificial Intelligence (known as “Version 2.0”) into the Emergency Room. Some of the Emergency Room Physicians are resisting it, but they are beginning to “come ‘round.” Again, it is a TV show – but interesting!

12:48:18 From iPhone : How did they actually sell the 90% effective for the vaccine when it was less than 1%? What was the actual study they were referring to when they used relative vs absolute? Just curious to become clear so I can help describe this to others
12:49:34 From Kofi Adega To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Soon to be launched esr home test kit

Cgm has time in range analysis.offers better insights than hba1c.
12:50:24 From Martha Stark, MD : Dr. Tom – ..although you do have 2 eyes – so you have an “n” of two for the slight decrease in floaters in your eyes!! 🙂
12:53:36 From Joy Gentle : Before we drop and to capture anyone who joined from my earlier chat post, I will add here Peter Kulish' slide deck from the solid-state magnets webinar on Sept 18, along with his responses to all the chat Q's. Tom will eventually post this into a blog post as well. https://biomagscience.net/biomagscience-slide-presentation/
12:53:44 From Wayne : After pressing him, my ophthalmologist told me that I had only a "trace" of cataract (after first telling me that it was zero … and everything looked surprisingly good "for my age." What should I infer from a "trace" of a cataract … probably not to worry about for a decade or so. (well respected Cincinnati Eye Institute- yes, eyes were dilated)
12:54:50 From iPhone : Reacted to "Dr. Tom – ..although…" with 😎
12:55:30 From eileenarmes@yahoo.com : what if the lens was replaced, can you still tell which type of cataract it was?
12:56:28 From Wayne : A 'trace' of a cataract was significantly less than 1 on a 1 to 5 scale … which is why he first said it was zero... Is this to be expected in one's 70s and can it be stopped/reversed?
12:58:35 From Sharon K : what about astaxanthan?
13:03:23 From Martha Stark, MD : Are people still excited about using Ron Neer’s MSM Eye Drops? What place do they have in treatment of the eyes?
13:04:28 From Martha Stark, MD : Is it a question of Pam from Iowa needing to “adapt” to the new situation – with just the one cataract fixed...
13:04:47 From iPhone : Reacted to "Are people still exc…" with 👆
13:06:25 From Martha Stark, MD : Wouldn’t it possibly be a GOOD IDEA for Pam from Iowa to get her right eye also done – so that they will now be more balanced?
13:07:40 From Doris Fellenz : Would the MSM eye drops from Dr. Neer help rid cataract issues?
13:08:28 From virginiamiller : How long will it take Can-C to improve the opacity of the cataracts?
13:08:36 From Steve : A local friend was at the point where he couldn't drive at night - the cats were advanced.
He paid the extra cost of the newer high-end lenses. His both eyes were a complete success following surgery.
13:08:53 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Visual therapy - advertised but seldom practiced.
13:08:54 From Dr. Tom Lewis : https://www.optometrists.org/vision-therapy/guide-to-vision-therapy/what-is-vision-therapy/
13:09:31 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Eye drops for cataracts is probably a life-long treatment
13:09:54 From Maura : Eye rehabilitation should be explored
13:10:18 From iPhone : Replying to "A local friend was …"
What are the high end lenses?
13:11:41 From Maura : Strabismic eyes have great problems with mIOl
13:13:24 From Maura : Amblyopia ?
13:13:25 From Martha Stark, MD : Dr. H. – Might Pam benefit at all from looking in the “mirror” – like what you were mentioning earlier?

90. Eye Part 5, cataracts, hyperthyroidism, Brownstein protocol
Drs. Lewis and Carter dive into various topics.
1. Cataracts and Early Death; 2. Brownstein Protocol and Hyperthyroidism; 3. Anti-VEGF and 2-Year Mortality
The human lens of the eye:
In order to accomplish its function of transmitting and focusing light, the crystalline lens of the vertebrate eye has evolved a unique cellular structure and protein complement. These distinct adaptations have provided a rich source of scientific discovery ranging from biochemistry and genetics to optics and physics. In addition, because of these adaptations, lens cells persist for the lifetime of an organism, providing an excellent model of the aging process. The chapters dealing with the lens will demonstrate how the different aspects of lens biology and biochemistry combine in this singular refractive organ to accomplish its critical role in the visual system.
Chat:
19:55:25 From Doris Fellenz : Dr. Lewis, Joy may not be here but want to know what you think of Ron Neer's MSM and or how does it differ from EyeOdine?
19:56:37 From monicawo To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Hi I thought we were going to talk about thyroid medicine and whether I should take
19:58:58 From Martha Stark, MD : Thank you, Wendie! Yes!
20:00:39 From Doris Fellenz : I take the Baja Gold Sulphur how does that compare to taking MSM?
20:02:22 From Martha Stark, MD : Are there any supplements or any treatments that will increase the flow of nutrients and oxygen to the eyes? This would be a good thing, yes?

20:08:56 From monicawo To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Remember my THS is high. They did all sort of testing and said I have Graves. They want me to go on some medicine, not sure which one yet as my appointment is not til tomorrow. 20:17:33 From Doris Fellenz To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : That is an excellent idea. I will send you my supplement list but it is more than a page long. LOL
20:17:35 From Linda Anderson : Can you say something about glaucoma drops, they seem toxic to me, causing irritation, inflammation and IMO dehydration in the eye
20:18:30 From Kath : I'm all in for the supplement list
20:21:05 From Winthrop Harewood : What is the Brownstein Protocol? Where can it be found?
20:21:51 From Doris Fellenz To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : What is the Brownstein Protocol?

20:22:59 From Martha Stark, MD : Dr. Tom – With respect to the importance of “pulsing” – YES – …to hammer a nail into the wall, you need to “pound” it in – not steadily “press” it in!
20:24:18 From Carol Willis : Interesting list, Scott - thanks for posting
20:24:19 From marjorie Trebino : Great idea. I bought the Brownstein supplements from Fullscript but didn’t know how much. Can’t be the same dose for a 100 Lb person as a 300 Lb person
20:25:34 From Wayne : Is there a risk that iodine kills "good" germs as well as "bad" germs? FWIW, I successfully took iodine to help fight COVID but only use it when I sense some kind of "cold" is coming on (which is seldom)
20:26:20 From risa Hyman : Could you address at some time T3 T4 and reverse T3

20:29:47 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Brownstein protocol - I have packaged it. I will offer an inexpensive package this month to do a short consult and give you the protocol. We really need to look at labs to make sure it is appropriate.
20:30:01 From Martha Stark, MD : Replying to "Is there a risk that..."
Wayne – In what form did you take the iodine? And how much?
20:31:05 From WG, ND : You always have to ask why the body has chosen to lower metabolism.....like what else is going on that the body thinks it is better to have lower metabolism.

20:34:31 From Maura : Toxic world
Do halides like fluoride etc automatically displace iodine molecules
Filter your water maybe too
20:35:50 From monicawo : What about Hyperthyroid
20:35:54 From Martha Stark, MD : Maura – Online I found – “Fluoride and iodine are both halogens. The fluoride, the negative ion of the element fluorine, easily displaces iodine in the body because it is much lighter and therefore more reactive.” …interesting!
20:37:36 From Maura : Reacted to "Maura – Online I fou…" with 👍
20:37:38 From Carol Willis : Hyperthyroid and Graves disease are very similar to Hashimotos. 90%of hypothyroid is from Hashimotos.
20:38:25 From Doris Fellenz : Did Dr. Carter say if you are taking iodine, you can go into a thyroid storm?
20:38:52 From monicawo To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Thank you so much
20:38:56 From WG, ND : topical iodine should remain on the skin for 10-11 hours before disappearing. The quicker it disappears the more you need it
20:40:23 From Carol Willis : What do you mean "pulling on electrons"?
20:42:29 From Martha Stark, MD : Replying to "Did Dr. Carter say i..."
Doris – I think that Dr. Carter was saying that if you are at the high end of the “range” for Free T3, then taking iodine can potentially catapult you into a thyroid crisis / storm. So be careful!
20:43:06 From monicawo : Replying to "Did Dr. Carter say i..."

21:05:31 From Wayne : What would you make of a doctor saying one has "only a trace" of a cataract (well below 1 on a scale of 1 to 5). What, if anything might you do about it?
21:06:49 From WG, ND : Have you used hair analysis for Iodine levels
21:07:50 From Dr. Tom Lewis : PseudoEX measured with slit lamp
21:08:06 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Good luck finding an eye doc that will measure it though
21:09:15 From Carol Willis : Corneal problems can prevent cataract surgery from being successful.
21:09:31 From Wayne : I was called away & probably missed your answer
21:09:43 From Doris Fellenz : I have been rolling it on my eyes and it does not sting
21:10:06 From Maura : I’m using the roll on iodine too
It’s very comfortable

Mark Nelson is THE world's expert on tetracyclines. These substances are considered antibiotics - but they are also powerful anti-inflammatories that do so by augmenting immunity rather than suppressing immunity. Steroids, NSAIDS and most other anti-inflammatories are deleterious to your immunity.
Organic and Medicinal Antibiotic and Chemist and Inventor with over 40 patents and marketed drugs Nuzyra and Seysara FDA approved in 2018. 87. Cholesterol is Good - Statins are Bad
Statins do NOT "treat" cholesterol. They lower the Liver's ability to produce LDL. LDL is a soap molecule that transports fats through your water-based blood system.
Question: How many people know their cholesterol number - in the world?
Answer: ZERO
Total Cholesterol is a misnomer. It is this: TC = HDL + LDL + 20% of your triglyceride number.
Where is the cholesterol molecule in this equation?
Answer: NO WHERE.

20:11:22 From wayne : Can you explain from a mechanistic perspective, the dangers of Statins, especially for someone on a high protein diet to build muscle (e.g. explain in your words the effect of a statin-created cholesterol deficiency on the body). Doesn't the body need extra cholesterol in those with high protein diets (all else held equal)
20:11:23 From Beverly A's iPad : I just went to my biological dentist in Tulsa, OK yesterday and was disappointed to see some spirochetes in the microscope slide. 20:37:59 From Maura : I was using down quilt, then synthetic quilt depending where I was but got light wool quilt and much better
20:38:47 From Carol Willis : High iodine - negative feedback loops are the body trying to defend against catabolism of high thyroid levels.
20:40:15 From Jeffrey : Thanks for verifying that. That makes sense Maura. Also helps to leave your hands and feet exposed.
20:40:26 From wayne : Can you offer strategies to lower a Calcium Index Score (that is above zero)?

12:19:26 From Doris Fellenz : In the summer, the swamp smells. Will that polluted air cause mold?
12:20:42 From Martha Stark, MD : With respect to “dry eyes” – I certainly have “dry eyes” (because of meibomian gland dysfunction caused by those persistent Demodex mites) – but I am able to keep it absolutely 100% under control by doing something that I think Dr. Tom will really appreciate – namely, every morning and every evening (when I am washing my face) I will take my middle finger and gently “scrape” both upper and lower eyelids (left middle finger for left eye and right middle finger for right eye)!! I can “feel” the slight “crustiness” being scraped off – “crustiness” that would have accumulated either over the course of the day or while I was sleeping. Obviously, this is not a cure – but it does mean that I am completely “asymptomatic” and have no need whatsoever to purchase eye drops, to get the expensive LipiFlow treatments, to have meibomian gland “expressions,” or to prepare warm compresses for my eyes, etc. So I am very, very happy about the Do-It-Yourself bio-hacking that I created.

12:05:28 From Martha Stark, MD : “After about 20 weeks of pregnancy, your baby’s urine make up most of the fluid."
12:05:42 From Martha Stark, MD : …most of the “amniotic fluid"
12:06:59 From Dr. Tom Lewis : https://eyeodine.org/
12:08:24 From Martha Stark, MD : Dr. Harshfield – Because most of the amniotic fluid is made up of the baby’s urine, how do you weigh in on the use of “urine therapy” (a la Dr. Ed Group) more generally?
12:09:43 From Martha Stark, MD : Replying to "https://www.regenere..."
Thank you, Doris!
12:10:25 From Dr. Tom Lewis : I am putting up this link to glycocheck because they have added locations. https://glycocheck.com/glycocheck-test-locations/

12:10:38 From Dr. Tom Lewis : It is highly relevant to eye diseases.

12:23:50 From Edge : that was for you Mira (above)
12:24:00 From Louise Vogel : Replying to "Klinghardt says lyme..."

12:37:17 From donna : Reacted to "TECHNICALLY, IT IS O..." with ❤️
12:37:26 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Not sure about that Nina. I would do the iodine drops and roll on in the eyes. Ivermectin does not treat every parasite - that’s why we use more than one type of anti-parasitic when parasites are found or suspected.
12:37:40 From donna : Removed a ❤️ reaction from "TECHNICALLY, IT IS O..."
12:38:23 From Wendie : Is the Regenerize LITE Product (for Dry Eyes) restorative or just for tempory relief?

12:38:50 From Dr. Tom Lewis : REGENER EZE LIGHT IS THE SAME PRODUCT BUT MUCH LESS CONCENTRATED.
12:39:19 From Dr. Tom Lewis : THE COMPANY RECOMMENDS ONE COURSE OF TREATMENT WITH PRO AND THEN FOLLOW ON WITH THE LITE PRODUCT. THEY DO THE SAME THING BUT THE DOSE MAKES THE CURE….
