95. Amlexanox - A Repurposed Anti-Inflammatory
Amlexanox (2-amino-7-isopropyl-5-oxo-5H-chromeno[2,3-b]pyridine-3-carboxylic acid), an inhibitor of inflammatory mediators and a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, has obvious therapeutic potential. Amlexanox also inhibits cell proliferation and migration. It inhibits PI3K/Akt/MAPK and NF-κB signalling. This could bring about its phenotypic outcome on cell proliferation and migration in vitro. The cell cycle is inhibited in G1 via the operation of the IκB kinase (IKK)-related kinases TBK1/IKK-epsilon, possibly also the Akt/MAPK pathway (Moser et al., 2016). Given that this pathway can inhibit MMPs, the inhibitory effects of amlexanox on cell migration have become more revealing of the involved mechanisms. That it can promote the depolymerisation of actin filaments is supplementary evidence for its effect on cell motility.

20:09:08 From Paula Dow To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : She I be careful about doing anything that makes my heart beat faster? Like working out? Although I really don’t have the energy to do that for the last few weeks. HB is still between 80-85

Excellent Stefan. We all need parallel systems to replace (eventually) the relics of the past.
20:13:12 From Doris Fellenz : Martha, is a lot of what he says going over your head or is it me. He is talking to fast. And that is a drug. What are we discussing a drug for of chemicals?

20:13:46 From Doris Fellenz : full of chemicals or am I mistaken?

Which link are you looking at Doris?
20:14:43 From Dee : Would Amlexanox benefit a person who has developed autoimmune arthritis especially scleroderma?
20:15:46 From Maura : Genes do not create pandemic
What else is going on
20:15:56 From Steve : No, that IS a bad thing
20:16:25 From Winthrop Harewood : Would it be also or can be also be considered gene therapy?
20:16:32 From Martha Stark, MD : Apparently, amlexanox was discontinued in the US in 2017 because of “adverse side effects.” What a shame! What are they thinking the adverse side effects were?
20:17:10 From Steve : I would use curcumin and boswellia for cox/lox
20:19:48 From Doris Fellenz To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : I just read the following: Is amlexanox available in USA?
This drug has been discontinued in the U.S.
20:20:23 From iPhone : Has it shown any benefit for Rheumatoid Arthritis?
20:20:38 From Maura : Infection by injection
20:20:42 From Steve : If I'm not mistaken, the th1 / th2 theory is just that.
20:23:15 From Maura : What is Root Cause ?
20:23:32 From Dr. Tom Lewis : “We found that minocycline interacted with CD4+ T cells and accelerated CD4+ T cells to differentiate into Th2 and Treg cells, while suppressing the their differentiation into Th1 and Th17 cells and reducing neuroinflammation and white matter injury after ICH”
20:23:59 From Mike Boehmer : If anyone has further questions about the mechanisms and use of amlexanox or the other drugs mentioned please contact me at mboehmer@amexpharmacy.com. Dr Halasa and I are partners in CDPMCs and we can reply together for you.
20:25:19 From Stefan Hartmann, PA-C : I just sent an Rx for amlexenox to you Mike for a landscaper guy who gets SEVERE reactions to grass. It knocks him on his ass for days.

20:26:21 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Our results argue for a reduction of both systemic and local Th17 response after prophylactic, low-dose clarithromycin administration in patients with non-CF bronchiectasis, suggestive of a potential anti-inflammatory and/or immunomodulatory action.
20:27:16 From Dr. Tom Lewis : I am showing these because amlexanox is not the only treatment for inflammatory disease - but it may be complementary or potentially more powerful? Or have fewer side effects.

Interesting! Macrolides do have immune effects as you mention, tacrolimus is a macrolide.
20:29:26 From Maura : What about plasmids in the “vaccines”
20:30:00 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Stefan: Often at low dose, even though it is called an antibiotic, it does not express that activity. I can point you to the world expert on this topic - Mark Nelson - I have his lecture on my channel. He has investigated repurposed low dose ABx as anti-inflammatories and found at the anti-inflammatory level they do not express antibiotic activities…. Dose make the poison or cure.

20:31:25 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Minocycline, for example, is neuroprotective and should be standard of care post stroke…
20:31:28 From Dr. Tom Lewis : The favorable effects of minocycline in a therapeutic window of 72 hours can be due to the various minocycline mechanisms of action during stroke. It can be hypothesized that the anti-apoptotic effect, which has been shown in minocycline use,5,6 will appear in a later poststroke stage after more than 48 hours.

20:34:49 From Stefan Hartmann, PA-C : I’m in another zoom right now with Dr. Saleeby he says it amlexenox can work for MCAS as well
20:35:23 From Mike Boehmer : Yes MAS is the biggest use other than AMPK
20:35:54 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Dee - see the string. I think Mike at mboehmer@amexpharmacy.com. can help - either prescribe or direct to a source.

Pharma
20:54:41 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Steve.. What I am saying is we have about one thing and its benefits - but seldom is it compared to something with a similar mechanism that has been around for a while. The drug companies are notorious to comparing their efficacy to nothing or something bad. We always need to think about other options. This drug is not the only one that does what Dr. Halasa is talking about - not to say it is bad or inappropriate….. That’s why I sent out some links to the drugs that Dr. Trempe used.

I believe he's connected to compounding Pharma

20:05:23 From Electron Recycler : thanks for the link Steve
20:08:01 From Alison Reece : What’s the situation with radioactive strontium and caesium from Fukushima in the pacific around Canada? Is it safe to eat wild caught Sockeye Salmon (I can get it in Australia- not good for food miles but possible)?
20:08:03 From Steve : You're welcome ER. It had a different approach than other similar webinars
20:12:24 From Martha Stark, MD : Does “cod liver oil” involve ingesting the cod’s “liver”? But aren’t “livers” the place where toxins are accumulated? …prior to being detoxified and eliminated… So doesn’t this mean that taking “cod liver oil” runs the risk of “adding” toxins to the body? PS I personally do my Carlson’s “cod liver oil” every single day – but I have always wondered about the wisdom of eating a fish’s liver!! Clearly I am missing something here…
20:13:16 From Alison Reece : Thanks, Martha, I’d like to know that too, now that you mention it.
20:16:51 From Martha Stark, MD : Zen – I know you will be clarifying – Does “organic” necessarily imply “non-GMO”?
20:20:15 From Electron Recycler : organic implies non GMO, but not the reverse
20:20:34 From Martha Stark, MD : Thank you, Andrew!
20:25:52 From grigsby : Why is glyphosate still sold in box stores?
20:26:08 From Martha Stark, MD : I wish I could ask this question anonymously because I know that I should know the answer. Why is it that “local” is always better?
20:27:56 From AMJ : This is so sad.....we won't be able to eat much of anything.
20:29:18 From Steve : AMJ, this issue is compounded by the horrible things being sprayed from the sky. A recent report stated the whole world is polluted.
20:31:07 From Maura : Non stop Chem trails - it’s off the rails Sun comes out and they are up spraying so that sun is gone
20:32:27 From Maura : Is there a link to join that weekly food growing group
20:32:42 From Steve : True. IMO, the nano-jabs and the spraying are worse than glyphosate.

There is no opt out from chem trail spraying
20:35:01 From Steve : Replying to "True. IMO, the nan..."
Because no one knows for sure who is responsible for this terrorist activity.
20:36:23 From Zen Honeycutt : Yes organic means non GMO and no toxic herbicides
20:37:47 From Steve : However the organic label doesn't apply to the fertilizers, which can be laced with all sorts of toxins.
20:37:53 From Jeffrey : The key to supporting local farms is supporting “small" local farms because they are less likely to use chemicals. But you still have to ask and then go see the farm for yourself, and maybe even volunteer or ask for a tour. Most likely they be happy too to show you around.
20:38:21 From Alison Reece : What was the film that Zen was in?

20:51:40 From WG : what labs test for glyphosate in UA?
20:51:43 From Zen Honeycutt : I could not sue state of Utah has a constitution that puts individual rights below that of the state ie: greater good

12:01:28 From Dr. Tom Lewis : The nautilus symbolizes nature's grace in growth, expansion, and renewal and projects order amidst chaos, as reflected in its spiral precision. 12:29:16 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Look.. that is
12:33:52 From Steve : That's why I decline dental x-rays most of the time
12:37:57 From Martha Stark, MD : On the television show Chicago Med, they have introduced Artificial Intelligence (known as “Version 2.0”) into the Emergency Room. Some of the Emergency Room Physicians are resisting it, but they are beginning to “come ‘round.” Again, it is a TV show – but interesting!

The television show Trauma: Life in the ER also offers some pretty cool “diagnostic and treatment methods”! Yes, Joy, “wave of the future.”
12:48:18 From iPhone : How did they actually sell the 90% effective for the vaccine when it was less than 1%? What was the actual study they were referring to when they used relative vs absolute? Just curious to become clear so I can help describe this to others
12:49:34 From Kofi Adega To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Soon to be launched esr home test kit

12:50:24 From Martha Stark, MD : Dr. Tom – ..although you do have 2 eyes – so you have an “n” of two for the slight decrease in floaters in your eyes!! 🙂
12:53:36 From Joy Gentle : Before we drop and to capture anyone who joined from my earlier chat post, I will add here Peter Kulish' slide deck from the solid-state magnets webinar on Sept 18, along with his responses to all the chat Q's. Tom will eventually post this into a blog post as well. https://biomagscience.net/biomagscience-slide-presentation/
12:53:44 From Wayne : After pressing him, my ophthalmologist told me that I had only a "trace" of cataract (after first telling me that it was zero … and everything looked surprisingly good "for my age." What should I infer from a "trace" of a cataract … probably not to worry about for a decade or so. (well respected Cincinnati Eye Institute- yes, eyes were dilated)
12:54:50 From iPhone : Reacted to "Dr. Tom – ..although…" with 😎
12:55:30 From eileenarmes@yahoo.com : what if the lens was replaced, can you still tell which type of cataract it was?
12:56:28 From Wayne : A 'trace' of a cataract was significantly less than 1 on a 1 to 5 scale … which is why he first said it was zero... Is this to be expected in one's 70s and can it be stopped/reversed?
12:58:35 From Sharon K : what about astaxanthan?
13:03:23 From Martha Stark, MD : Are people still excited about using Ron Neer’s MSM Eye Drops? What place do they have in treatment of the eyes?
13:04:28 From Martha Stark, MD : Is it a question of Pam from Iowa needing to “adapt” to the new situation – with just the one cataract fixed...
13:04:47 From iPhone : Reacted to "Are people still exc…" with 👆
13:06:25 From Martha Stark, MD : Wouldn’t it possibly be a GOOD IDEA for Pam from Iowa to get her right eye also done – so that they will now be more balanced?
13:07:40 From Doris Fellenz : Would the MSM eye drops from Dr. Neer help rid cataract issues?
13:08:28 From virginiamiller : How long will it take Can-C to improve the opacity of the cataracts?
13:08:36 From Steve : A local friend was at the point where he couldn't drive at night - the cats were advanced.
He paid the extra cost of the newer high-end lenses. His both eyes were a complete success following surgery.
13:08:53 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Visual therapy - advertised but seldom practiced.
13:08:54 From Dr. Tom Lewis : https://www.optometrists.org/vision-therapy/guide-to-vision-therapy/what-is-vision-therapy/
13:09:31 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Eye drops for cataracts is probably a life-long treatment
13:09:54 From Maura : Eye rehabilitation should be explored
13:10:18 From iPhone : Replying to "A local friend was …"
What are the high end lenses?
13:11:41 From Maura : Strabismic eyes have great problems with mIOl
13:13:24 From Maura : Amblyopia ?

90. Eye Part 5, cataracts, hyperthyroidism, Brownstein protocol
Drs. Lewis and Carter dive into various topics.
1. Cataracts and Early Death; 2. Brownstein Protocol and Hyperthyroidism; 3. Anti-VEGF and 2-Year Mortality
The human lens of the eye:
In order to accomplish its function of transmitting and focusing light, the crystalline lens of the vertebrate eye has evolved a unique cellular structure and protein complement. These distinct adaptations have provided a rich source of scientific discovery ranging from biochemistry and genetics to optics and physics. In addition, because of these adaptations, lens cells persist for the lifetime of an organism, providing an excellent model of the aging process. The chapters dealing with the lens will demonstrate how the different aspects of lens biology and biochemistry combine in this singular refractive organ to accomplish its critical role in the visual system.

19:55:25 From Doris Fellenz : Dr. Lewis, Joy may not be here but want to know what you think of Ron Neer's MSM and or how does it differ from EyeOdine?
19:56:37 From monicawo To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Hi I thought we were going to talk about thyroid medicine and whether I should take
19:58:58 From Martha Stark, MD : Thank you, Wendie! Yes!
20:00:39 From Doris Fellenz : I take the Baja Gold Sulphur how does that compare to taking MSM?
20:02:22 From Martha Stark, MD : Are there any supplements or any treatments that will increase the flow of nutrients and oxygen to the eyes? This would be a good thing, yes?
20:03:07 From Martha Stark, MD : Dr. Tom – How do you take the methylene blue in a way that does not stain your teeth blue?
20:05:46 From Doris Fellenz To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : What dosage should we take of methylene blue?
20:06:44 From Dr. Tom Lewis To monicawo(privately) : Remind me of the issue - so I can be precise.
20:07:45 From Doris Fellenz To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : put that info of what to watch in the chat please.
20:08:56 From monicawo To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Remember my THS is high. They did all sort of testing and said I have Graves. They want me to go on some medicine, not sure which one yet as my appointment is not til tomorrow. That said, you had said you wanted me to join this to ask the 3 doctors on the call, including you, whether I should hold off on the medication.
20:11:05 From Martha Stark, MD : Doris – Salaheldin Halasa, MD
20:11:48 From monicawo To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Sorry ths is low .. uptake of iodine is high.. 49% at 24 hours.

20:14:08 From Martha Stark, MD : Dr. Tom – With respect to the probiotics that you put your patient on, do you try to make sure that Lactobacillus rhamnosus is included?
20:15:14 From Maura : You tube Link ☝️Salaheldin Halasa
20:15:26 From Martha Stark, MD : Reacted to "You tube Link ☝️Sala..." with 👏
20:17:33 From Doris Fellenz To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : That is an excellent idea. I will send you my supplement list but it is more than a page long. LOL
20:17:35 From Linda Anderson : Can you say something about glaucoma drops, they seem toxic to me, causing irritation, inflammation and IMO dehydration in the eye
20:18:30 From Kath : I'm all in for the supplement list
20:21:05 From Winthrop Harewood : What is the Brownstein Protocol? Where can it be found?
20:21:51 From Doris Fellenz To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : What is the Brownstein Protocol?
20:21:59 From Wendie Wachtel : Tom, Can you request that Inga or Billy Wease packages the Brownstein protocol into an easy to order package with instructions?
20:22:20 From Martha Stark, MD : Reacted to "Tom, Can you reques..." with 👍
20:22:26 From mira : Reacted to Tom, Can you reques... with "👍"
20:22:39 From Doris Fellenz : Wendie that is a GREAT IDEA!
20:22:57 From Maura : https://www.drbrownstein.com/
20:22:59 From Martha Stark, MD : Dr. Tom – With respect to the importance of “pulsing” – YES – …to hammer a nail into the wall, you need to “pound” it in – not steadily “press” it in!
20:24:18 From Carol Willis : Interesting list, Scott - thanks for posting
20:24:19 From marjorie Trebino : Great idea. I bought the Brownstein supplements from Fullscript but didn’t know how much. Can’t be the same dose for a 100 Lb person as a 300 Lb person
20:25:34 From Wayne : Is there a risk that iodine kills "good" germs as well as "bad" germs? FWIW, I successfully took iodine to help fight COVID but only use it when I sense some kind of "cold" is coming on (which is seldom)
20:26:20 From risa Hyman : Could you address at some time T3 T4 and reverse T3
20:27:30 From Martha Stark, MD : David Brownstein – Iodine: Why You Need It, Why You Can’t Live Without It – 2014
20:28:57 From Maura : Reacted to "David Brownstein – I…" with 👍
20:29:47 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Brownstein protocol - I have packaged it. I will offer an inexpensive package this month to do a short consult and give you the protocol. We really need to look at labs to make sure it is appropriate.
20:30:01 From Martha Stark, MD : Replying to "Is there a risk that..."
Wayne – In what form did you take the iodine? And how much?
20:31:05 From WG, ND : You always have to ask why the body has chosen to lower metabolism.....like what else is going on that the body thinks it is better to have lower metabolism.
20:31:50 From mira : Reacted to You always have to a... with "🙏"
20:34:31 From Maura : Toxic world
Do halides like fluoride etc automatically displace iodine molecules
Filter your water maybe too
20:35:50 From monicawo : What about Hyperthyroid
20:35:54 From Martha Stark, MD : Maura – Online I found – “Fluoride and iodine are both halogens. The fluoride, the negative ion of the element fluorine, easily displaces iodine in the body because it is much lighter and therefore more reactive.” …interesting!
20:37:36 From Maura : Reacted to "Maura – Online I fou…" with 👍
20:37:38 From Carol Willis : Hyperthyroid and Graves disease are very similar to Hashimotos. 90%of hypothyroid is from Hashimotos.
20:38:25 From Doris Fellenz : Did Dr. Carter say if you are taking iodine, you can go into a thyroid storm?
20:38:52 From monicawo To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Thank you so much
20:38:56 From WG, ND : topical iodine should remain on the skin for 10-11 hours before disappearing. The quicker it disappears the more you need it
20:40:23 From Carol Willis : What do you mean "pulling on electrons"?
20:42:29 From Martha Stark, MD : Replying to "Did Dr. Carter say i..."
Doris – I think that Dr. Carter was saying that if you are at the high end of the “range” for Free T3, then taking iodine can potentially catapult you into a thyroid crisis / storm. So be careful!
20:43:06 From monicawo : Replying to "Did Dr. Carter say i..."
Agree. Thank you

20:59:06 From jdwod : Freckles are nevi or melanocyte, not drusen
21:05:29 From WG, ND : lugol's Iodine
21:05:31 From Wayne : What would you make of a doctor saying one has "only a trace" of a cataract (well below 1 on a scale of 1 to 5). What, if anything might you do about it?
21:06:49 From WG, ND : Have you used hair analysis for Iodine levels
21:07:50 From Dr. Tom Lewis : PseudoEX measured with slit lamp
21:08:06 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Good luck finding an eye doc that will measure it though
21:09:15 From Carol Willis : Corneal problems can prevent cataract surgery from being successful.
21:09:31 From Wayne : I was called away & probably missed your answer
21:09:43 From Doris Fellenz : I have been rolling it on my eyes and it does not sting
21:10:06 From Maura : I’m using the roll on iodine too
It’s very comfortable

87. Cholesterol is Good - Statins are Bad
Statins do NOT "treat" cholesterol. They lower the Liver's ability to produce LDL. LDL is a soap molecule that transports fats through your water-based blood system.
Question: How many people know their cholesterol number - in the world?
Answer: ZERO
Total Cholesterol is a misnomer. It is this: TC = HDL + LDL + 20% of your triglyceride number.
Where is the cholesterol molecule in this equation?
Answer: NO WHERE.

20:11:22 From wayne : Can you explain from a mechanistic perspective, the dangers of Statins, especially for someone on a high protein diet to build muscle (e.g. explain in your words the effect of a statin-created cholesterol deficiency on the body). Doesn't the body need extra cholesterol in those with high protein diets (all else held equal)
20:11:23 From Beverly A's iPad : I just went to my biological dentist in Tulsa, OK yesterday and was disappointed to see some spirochetes in the microscope slide. They are now recommending a new oral probiotic ProBioraPro that was developed specifically for the mouth. I’m going to try it and see what shows up at my next cleaning in November. 20:37:59 From Maura : I was using down quilt, then synthetic quilt depending where I was but got light wool quilt and much better
20:38:47 From Carol Willis : High iodine - negative feedback loops are the body trying to defend against catabolism of high thyroid levels.
20:40:15 From Jeffrey : Thanks for verifying that. That makes sense Maura. Also helps to leave your hands and feet exposed.
20:40:26 From wayne : Can you offer strategies to lower a Calcium Index Score (that is above zero)?
20:41:05 From Maura : I remember in the 70s they recommended to get rid of wool blankets , replace with nylon at same time they introduced margarine

12:20:42 From Martha Stark, MD : With respect to “dry eyes” – I certainly have “dry eyes” (because of meibomian gland dysfunction caused by those persistent Demodex mites) – but I am able to keep it absolutely 100% under control by doing something that I think Dr. Tom will really appreciate – namely, every morning and every evening (when I am washing my face) I will take my middle finger and gently “scrape” both upper and lower eyelids (left middle finger for left eye and right middle finger for right eye)!! I can “feel” the slight “crustiness” being scraped off – “crustiness” that would have accumulated either over the course of the day or while I was sleeping. Obviously, this is not a cure – but it does mean that I am completely “asymptomatic” and have no need whatsoever to purchase eye drops, to get the expensive LipiFlow treatments, to have meibomian gland “expressions,” or to prepare warm compresses for my eyes, etc. So I am very, very happy about the Do-It-Yourself bio-hacking that I created.

79. Eyes & Whole Body Health - Part 3 - Dr. Lewis
Your eyes are a window to your health. Importantly, examination of your eyes reveals pathology changes. These changes are "closest" to a disease. That is, adverse pathology is more important compared to life risks and physiological changes (biomarkers).
Any eye pathology must be taken seriously. For example, people with cataracts die at MUCH HIGHER RATES compared to age-matched individuals without cataracts. And, the cause of death is almost always cardiovascular in nature.
Here is the chat log from the webinar.
19:54:25 From Doris Fellenz To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Did you post Monday's Noon Meeting yet?

A rep at Regener-Eyes said only use Refresh Plus ampules in between and nothing else.

78. Static Magnets to Relieve Pain & Improve Overall Health
Peter Kulish, static magnet expert explain how they work and how they can be used.
https://biomagscience.net/
We have 40 years of research and development of Advanced Magnetic Therapies (Biomagnetism) for over 180 Health Conditions. We’ll show you how easy magnetic therapy is to use for the results you expect and need.
Our magnetic polarity therapies are based on the energy measurements taught in Physiology and Energy Medicine. Our therapies simply amplify the body’s own energy to support rapid healing and pain relief, often producing remarkable, miracle-like results.
Most companies do not offer the ‘proper’ bio magnets for healing use nor the proper application. All to often, we observe weak magnets putting the wrong energy into the wrong location. The wrong application does not work and often causes stress and discomfort in the body.
All BiomagScience Biomagnets are certified therapeutic quality, polarity color coded and come with simple illustrated instructions for ease of use and proper placement.
BiomagScience therapies are taught in clinics, colleges, universities, and used by practitioners and millions of people worldwide every day.
Webinar chat:
12:00:04 From Lynn McGaha : typo. Should have said 5.5, not 5.1.
12:00:05 From amywilliams : Where do you find Energy Practitioners for trigger point application? What do you think about Biomagetic ‘Pair” Therapy(Dr. Garcia/Dr. Goiz)?
12:03:07 From Martha Stark, MD : I also have the book and the kit – thank you! Not to embarrass myself here, but I am hoping you can offer a very “simple” “one-and-done” protocol for the placement of a 2-stack set of “energizing” magnets on my clothes (my body) – magnets that I would then wear for a number of hours, being careful to remove them in the afternoon so as not to have problems sleeping at night.

12:43:10 From Joy : Some advanced therapies Peter will talk about: Organ Group energizing (OGE) and Meridian Energizing Therapy (MET).
12:43:12 From Patricia Hinojosa : the circuit therapy is with 2 magnets ?
12:44:02 From d harshfield : The flow of red blood cells in the skeletal muscle capillaries exposed to strong static magnetic fields has been reported to be reduced. The magnetic field generated by neodymium magnets is thought to increase microcirculation but the effects on this are not clearly known.
12:44:32 From Joy : Replying to "the circuit therapy ..."
Good question. I've done it with just one magnet at each location, not stacked magnets.

Overnight MET
12:47:08 From Danielle : Thanks
12:47:18 From Maura : How does this compare to grounding
12:47:48 From Joy : Replying to "What does the O stan..."
The OMET uses the power wafers (smaller magnets). The daytime MET uses the Regular magnets but just for 1-2 hours at a time.
12:48:07 From Beverly A's iPad : Have you used the magnets for someone who has been diagnosed with lupus?
12:48:46 From Joy : I try to do the OGE twice per month for 3-5 days.

12:50:05 From d harshfield : Electronic devices are being increasingly used in our lives. Fossil fuels are being replaced by renewable energies, a field that increasingly uses rare earth elements. These elements are used in electric cars and wind turbines. Although procurement challenges and high prices lead producers to seek alternatives, rare earth elements are still being used in numerous technology and Because of their demand, the health effects of these powerful magnets must be addressed along with their environmental impacts.
12:50:40 From Martha Stark, MD : Replying to "Magnets fit the bath..."
I see that the Water Line Energizer costs $44.95. So it does not, then, come with the $99 kit? …even though I thought you had asked him about this and he had said YES it did…
12:50:45 From d harshfield : Basing on the results roughly examined from the studies carried out so far, it has been concluded that there are effects of magnets, especially neodymium magnets, on body systems, tissues, organs, diseases, and treatments. Although they have been used in various diagnostic devices in the health sector and as therapeutic tools, magnets are potentially harmful to the body and pose increased risk of accident. Despite insufficient studies conducted on the effects of neodymium magnets, they appear to have a great potential for both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

I feel that $99 is a very reasonable price (using code "wellness99". Normally $145 which is still reasonable given other technologies out there (and other solid-state magnet kits).
13:00:15 From Martha Stark, MD : So the Bio-Energized Structured Healthy Water Line Energizer is a separate purchase, right?
13:00:30 From Louise Vogel : I gather this could also work on spinal discs in the neck which are missing cushioning between discs?
13:00:50 From Martha Stark, MD : $99 is a VERY REASONABLE PRICE!
13:01:14 From Joy : Replying to "So the Bio-Energized..."
Yes, I purchased two - one for my shower and one for my kitchen sink. Peter regularly runs 25% off sales (and the occasional 30% sale). I always wait for his sales.

13:02:13 From Joy : Replying to "I have no affiliatio..."
The kit should cover most everything. I ended up buying some extras because I lost a couple of magnets in the beginning (then found them later attached to metal).
13:02:41 From Martha Stark, MD : I think we would all feel a little more comfortable were we to have a way to measure the voltage. These magnets are potentially very healing and also, apparently, potentially quite harmful…

I fall into that category. My father also got very ill after a PEMF session.
13:17:59 From Doug Leonard : Peter, thank you very much for all your hard work!
13:18:30 From Martha Stark, MD : My understanding is that the PEMFs emitted by some devices are different from the PEMFs emitted by other devices. There is no “standard” PEMF…
13:18:33 From Joy : I know that Peter's father recently turned 100 and Peter uses magnets on him.
13:18:40 From Dr. Tom Lewis : I believe we all agree that there is plenty of science.
13:19:06 From Steve : Replying to "I know a number of f..."
Somewhat similar to the harmful effects of cell signals is the pulsing nature, not necessarily the frequency
13:19:19 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Simply put - it is EMF - which means there is an electric field along with the magnetic field - and the electric field is what is KNOWN to heal.
13:20:01 From Martha Stark, MD To Dr. Tom Lewis(privately) : Dr. Tom – I’m really glad that you wrote “…we all agree that there is plenty of science…”
13:20:30 From Dr. Tom Lewis To Martha Stark, MD(privately) : Dr. H was saying that but he is sensitive, like Pawluk…..

13:24:12 From Beverly A's iPad : Reacted to "I think we would all…" with 👍
13:24:50 From Martha Stark, MD : PEMF devices can produce a square, a saw tooth, or a sine wave. I think that the “sine wave” is more “natural” for the body – the “square” is probably much less so…
13:25:34 From Louise Vogel : Reacted to "I’m in to a study" with 👍
13:25:49 From Maura : Thank you
Very interesting presentation

77. Hormones & Cardiovascular Disease
Dr. Michael Carter's impressive functional medicine knowledge is on full display in this video.
This is a MUST WATCH video for anyone on - or contemplating hormone therapy.
Dr. Carter also discusses various biomarkers and methods to characterize cardiovascular disease risk.
Chat - unedited:
20:05:48 From Steve : There was an excellent DDI webinar today with presenter Pamela Smith MD regarding male hormones
20:07:15 From risa Hyman : Dr Klinghardt talked about the risk of testosterone at this time because of the linkage of the spike protein from virus and vax interuption. He had asked attendees to hold off on testosterone until more clarity in clearing out spike protein corruption
20:09:14 From Martha Stark, MD : And if a man goes onto testosterone, does he then have the risk of becoming infertile?
20:10:55 From Steve : Pamela Smith said using the topical gel it's easy to lower high levels. She doesn't use pellet therapy has the problem with non-regulation
20:13:36 From Martha Stark, MD : Dr. Carter – What do you prescribe for a 40-year-old male who was supplementing with testosterone, became infertile, and is not desperate to get his wife pregnant – except that his sperm are nonexistent. Any recommendations, please???
20:13:55 From Dr. Tom Lewis : Environmental working group
20:14:08 From Martha Stark, MD : ..and is NOW desperate to get his wife pregnant
20:14:45 From Kate Schmitz : I asked the first question about the labs, I have to go. Maybe Jodi can email me the answer. That would be very helpful. Thank you, so much doctors. Kate
20:16:24 From d harshfield : https://news.berkeley.edu/2010/03/01/frogs/ Atrazine, one of the world’s most widely used pesticides, wreaks havoc with the sex lives of adult male frogs, emasculating three-quarters of them and turning one in 10 into females, according to a new study by University of California, Berkeley, biologists.
The 75 percent that are chemically castrated are essentially “dead” because of their inability to reproduce in the wild, reports UC Berkeley’s Tyrone B. Hayes, professor of integrative biology.
“These male frogs are missing testosterone and all the things that testosterone controls, including sperm. So their fertility is as low as 10 percent in some cases, and that is only if we isolate those animals and pair them with females,” he said. “In an environment where they are competing with unexposed animals, they have zero chance of reproducing.”

Heartbreak for my patient who is desperate to get his wife pregnant. Not only did he supplement (in earlier years) with testosterone but he did not know to eat “organic” and so got lots of exposure to pesticides. So sad…
20:22:49 From Scott's S21 : The health ranger sells organic coffee that he tests for glyphosate and other chemicals
20:25:22 From Joel B Peterson : Dr Mark L Gordon is working on seeing if he can get some off of Testosterone, (including himself) by switching to Clomiphene, and getting back on weights or bands! Some also believe Canivore can help! I bet it might work on a 40 year old, if he really hits the weights, or bands, and eats right!

20:26:36 From Doris Fellenz : How does atrazine feminize male frogs?
Atrazine is a potent endocrine disruptor that both chemically castrates and feminizes male amphibians. It depletes androgens in adult frogs and reduces androgen-dependent growth of the larynx in developing male larvae. It also disrupts normal gonadal development and feminizes the gonads of developing males.
